JAKARTA , IR. President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono accompanied by First Lady Ani Yudhoyono attended the Heroes' Day, Tuesday (10/11), at the National Heroes Cemetery Kalibata, Jakarta.

Yudhoyono arrived at the Kalibata promptly at 08.00 WIB greeted by the Metro Jaya police chief. Meanwhile, Vice President Boediono present in about ten minutes earlier.

Also present at the Heroes Day commemoration ceremony of the ministers of United Indonesia Cabinet, the Chief Bambang Hendarso Danuri, Attorney General Hendarman Supanji, and Chairman of the House Marzuki Alie.

Ceremony began with a procession of silence and the sown flowers at the tomb of a number of government officials, like former Vice President under President Soeharto, Adam Malik, the tomb of former Vice President Suharto era, Sudharmono, former Armed Forces Commander Edi Sudrajat, and former Chairman of the MPRS, AH Nasution.

KETUPAT LEBARAN, TRADITION IN INDONESIA RAYA

Ketupat is always identical with the name (holy day of "Lebaran"). But actually what makes Ketupat a tradition that is always there when "Lebaran" day? Well, below are some interesting things that happened to me can be from several blogs.

Philosophy Ketupat

The question is now, why use Ketupat? For the Javanese, Ketupat has its own meaning, apart from name and form, Ketupat process it self has meaning and significance in the life of Javanese people.

We start from a name

Ketupat in the Java language called Kupat, within one website, mentioned that the tradition of eating Ketupat out (after) "Lebaran" holiday, which is usually called the day of Raya Ketupat, called the Foreign Kupat tradition.
