Understanding Ethnographic

Ethnography comes from the word meaning etnos race and that means graphein picture. So ethnography is a description of the tribes. According J.A. Cliffton, social unity in ethnography is characterized by:

1. Bounded by 1 or more villages
2. Languages and dialects
3. Political Administracion
4. Identity with
5. Geographically
6. Unity ecology
7. Penetahuan science and history of the same
8. High frequency of interaction
9. Social arrangement has a uniform trend

B. Ethnographic Study Baduy

The ethnographic study that included the Baduy community consists of:

1. Location and Places Demographics

Baduy village located in Sub LEUWIDAMAR Baduy Rangkasbitung District consists of villages of Banten Gajebo, Cikeusik, Cibeo, and Baduy Cikertawana.dan divided into outer and berluas Baduy dalam.Daerah which 138 ha, consisting of 117 kk 99 houses that occupy the so-called Culah Nyanda or houses on stilts, while the house is called kokolot or duku Dangka, overlooking keselatan.Masyarakat Baduy tribe with a population approximately 10 thousand people are living in the area is hilly, and wooded-forest, to have the valley's steep, to steep . Based on the results of direct measurements in the field residential areas Baduy average lies at an altitude of 250 m above sea level, with residential areas in low areas 150 m above sea level and high enough settlement at an altitude of 400 m above the sea surface.

Baduy region was based on the geographical location is located at 60 27 '27 "- 60 30' N and 1080 3 '9" - 1060 4' 55 "longitude. area is mountainous - the hill with an average altitude of terlelak at 250M above sea level.

b. The Origin History Place

On the origins of the Baduy, the answer would be obtained were those descended from Batara roots, one of the seven gods or a god who is sent to earth. The origin is often attributed to the Prophet Adam as the first ancestor. According to their belief, Adam and his descendants, including members had the task Baduy recluse or ascetic (mandita) to maintain the harmony of the world. They also assume that the tribe Baduy is the first civilization in the world time.

Other opinions which proves the oldest human Baduy at least in Java, based on the evidence of prehistoric and historical, Lebak Sibedug berundak punden Mountain Mist is more than 3 km Cibeo old neolithic period of 2500 BC, have the same symmetry with the same heritage with the pyramids in Egypt and Temple Mancu Pichu in Peru thousands of years ago.

While Arca Domas is still mysterious, located south of Ciujung river Cikeusik dihulu, Kendeng mountains. the south and was first published by Koorders which came on July 5, 1864 (Djoewisno, 1987). Arca Domas is a large Menhir berundak punden above the top. Punden berundak building also features other Menhir. They believe the statue is a symbol Batara Domas Single place where spirits are created and assembled. In addition Domas statue is the center of the earth and human origins descended to earth and became the ancestors of Baduy. Domas statue because it is a ban areas off limits to outsiders (purwitasari, 2000)

The origins of these Baduy people with opinions different from the historians, who based his opinion by way of synthesis of some historical evidence in the form of tablets, travel notes and Chinese Portuguese sailors, and stories of the people of the Tatar Sunda quite minimal existence. Baduy communities associated with the Kingdom of Sunda, or commonly known as the Kingdom of Pajajaran on 15th and 16th century, or roughly six hundred years ago. Banten region at that time an important part of the Kingdom of Pajajaran, based in Pakuan (Bogor area now). Banten is a port of considerable trade. The river is navigable Ciujung various types of boats, and noisy used for transporting agricultural produce from rural areas. Thus the ruler area, called the General Pucuk Prince considers that the sustainability of the river should be maintained. To diperintahkanlah imperial army was highly trained to maintain and manage the heavily wooded areas and hilly in the area Kendeng Mountain. The presence of troops with special duties appear to be the embryo of Baduy community that still inhabit the river area at Mount Kendeng Ciujung it (Adimihardja, 2000). Differences of opinion led to the suspicion that in the past, their historical identity and deliberately closed, which probably is to protect communities from attacks Baduy own enemies Pajajaran

c. Belief Systems and Religions

Baduy tribe which is the traditional tribe in Banten Province near the majority were admitted wiwitan sunda trust.

Which is believed to trust her God as "Guriang Mangtua" or called the creator of the universe and implement appropriate life teachings of the Prophet Adam as the ancestor who inherit this derivative beliefs. Trust sunda wiwitan oriented on how to live a life of worship contained in the act, the pattern of daily life, move and utterance, with the simplicity of life that glorifies (bermewah no-luxury) like not using electricity, walls, cars etc..

There are some activities undertaken by the public trust by sunda Baduy wiwitan:

1. KAWALU ceremony is ceremony conducted in order to welcome the month KAWALU sacred month in which the public KAWALU Baduy perform fasting during the month 3 months Kasa, Karo, and KATIGA.

12. Month Hapid Kayu

As described above, if there Baduy community who violates one of the restrictions would be punishable by exile to the upstream or imprisoned by the police authorities.

d. Language

The majority of Sundanese Baduy community but they do not shut down to continue to study the national language of Indonesian. Proved, not a few people who can speak Baduy Inbdonesia.

e. Governance System

Mengnggap Baduy people themselves as descendants far from 7 Batara or god, who was sent into the world at Heritage Sasaka Buana by single Batara. They distributed themselves into several groups based on their descent. Because they live in different settlements. There were 3 settlements in Tangtu (inner regions), namely Cibeo, Cikeusek, and residential areas have Cikartawana.Setiap own puun customary to have a special duty and make contact with a number of settlements in Dangka (outer region Baduy). Any settlement outside has own leaders called Jaro. The entire organization is called "Society three and seven Tangtu Jaro". With more and more people there are also people Baduy who now live outside the official stacking order, ie the additional settlement called penamping or pajaroan.

f. Arts

In particular ceremony, people using the arts to Baduy memeriahkannya. The arts are:

1. Art Musi (ie Cikarileu Folk and Song (verse) that is used in weddings).
2. Musical instruments (Angklung Buhun in rice planting ceremony and musical instrument lute)
3. Batik Carving.

g.Peralatan and Technology

Baduy people's lives centered on processed agricultural cycle by using equipment that is still very simple. In customary Baduy Baduy In particular, people should not use modern equipment already. They rely on equipment that is still very primitive as bedog, axes, hoes, etc..

h.Mata Income

Baduy-income people's lives from agriculture, beginning in the fourth calendar month that begins with Baduy nyacar activities of cleaning all scrub to prepare the fields. There are 4 types of paddy field for the PR assault gogo, is a sacred field for those who berpemukiman in. Huma lading tangtu is done by people covering Baduy In tuladan or huma Huma JARO. Huma is a field penamping done by people Baduy outside the traditional areas.

i. Knowledge Systems

Baduy knowledge systems is to uphold the Pikukuh ie all sets of rules handed down by ancestors. In the case of this knowledge, people Baduy have high levels of tolerance, manners, social life, and farming techniques handed down by ancestors. In modern education Baduy people still left far but they taught himself. So actually very informational Baduy people once actually, to know a lot of information. This is supported because the craze as rawayan (wanderers).

In closing the author notes, the possibility that the old culture has been replaced with a new culture is the culture really indicates relative and adaptive in the environment Baduy tribe, especially outside Baduy. However, in addition to a more accurate comparison foklore (folklore) and other sources, is a relic of history and prehistory are left as the strongest evidence, that they include the oldest community in Banten.
Indonesia raya is rich in culture and tourism, many of the islands became a separate privilege for this country. facts prove if the highway is Indonesia Indonesia archipelago. and one which will be discussed here is the island of Samosir, which is located on the islands of Sumatra.

Samosir Island is a very unique island because the island is a volcanic island in the middle of Lake Toba, North Sumatra. This island has an altitude of 1,000 meters above sea level it is this which makes a lot of attention to domestic and foreign tourists.

Toba lake tourism potential of natural beauty that is very charming, cool mountain breeze makes the beauty more complete Samosir Island. Samosir Island to go to get through two routes, the first can be achieved by road through or we can pengururan parapat connected through the ferry crossing.

I use the road toward samosir, we chartered a car accident because of more than 5 passengers. In addition to renting a car there are many buses that led to Lake Toba, the cost can indeed use the bus is cheaper. But the longer travel time and we can not walk - the road is didanau toba. Arriving diToba lot of hotel accommodation to 3 star jasmine, which provided lodging facilities there is also quite comprehensive. Especially for the backpacker who wants to be cost efficient to find the inn was clean and cheap, I could enjoy the beauty of the lake with walking path toba lake lane. Because we come to the afternoon and did not have time to cross to the island of Samosir, the next day we had planned to cross.

In the morning me and my family was getting ready to cross, with a ferry crossing to buy tickets. While waiting for my ship's departure for the hunting took photos around the lake, is natural and beautiful Lake toba is very good. The unfortunate people around still less in keeping the tourist potential, largely because the population still use lake toba as the main wellspring of their lives. And the number of garbage trash around the lake, I noticed it when the hotel occupancy rate did not like the first, now hardly be too noisy tourists. If the local government and surrounding communities will have great attention lake toba tourism potential they have. I'm sure one day the lake toba become one of the Indonesian tourism mainstay.

The ferry had arrived, we were getting ready to ride the ferry. To aksses to Samosir Island there are two types of ferries, the first type to transport passengers and that it can carry two four-wheeled vehicles. Vehicles drove very useful for families who want to tour the island of Samosir, for backpacker Arriving at P samosir can rent motorcycles or spend the night there. During our ferry crossing through the landscape was treated to a cool lake toba, blue sky and beautiful nature. The weather here makes me feel at home around the time it happened the weather was sunny.

Samosir Island has tourist attractions of the lake above the lake, which is one of the uniqueness of Samosir Island. There are two lakes on the island in the middle of Lake Toba. namely Lake Sidihoni and Aek Natonang.

In addition there are many cultural and historical uniqueness of the other attractions on the island of Samosir, there Pusuk Buhit here is believed to be the home of Batak tribe, who took the stage here is the existence of the surrounding rock and a guide which guides explaining the Batak ethnic origins, they explained very interesting and clear. When finished listening to the story Batak ethnic origin, in addition to left and right a lot of selling mostly souvenirs and wood carvings typical of cloth, as well as day trips to shop for souvenirs. In addition there is also a hot spring, the museum Batak traditional culture, to relieve tired and weary There Tuktuk Siadong as boarding and bathing, and Tano ponggol connecting mainland Samosir Island and the mainland of Sumatra. Samosir Island is a leading North Sumatra Tourism, with the potential of natural beauty and cultural diversity. I believe if the government and local residents realize and fix a time beauty of the island of Samosir and Lake Toba will often visited by tourists. And developed into a leading tourist area.

Affandi Koesoema (Cirebon, West Java, 1907 - 23 May 1990) was a painter known as Maestro painting of Indonesia, Indonesian painter may be the most famous in the international world, thanks to its expressionist style unique. In the 1950s it was more a single exhibition in India, UK, Europe and the United States. Painter productive, Affandi was painting more than two thousand paintings. Affandi was born in Cirebon in the year 1907, the son of R. However, the art of drawing talent, which is very thick beat other disciplines in their lives, and has made his name with the same noise figure or other field leaders.

Affandi in the eyes of the world

Affandi is only one of the great painter of India together with other painters such as Raden Saleh, Basuki Abdullah and others. And since 1986 he also was a Member of the Board of Penyantun ISI (Institut Seni Indonesia) in Yogyakarta. Even a poet of Force 45 Chairil Anwar also had to give the gift of a special rhythm for the title "the painter Affandi".

Approach and to introduce his works to the art lovers of painting, Affandi often hold exhibitions in various places. India in the country, he had exhibitions around to different cities. Similarly in various countries in Europe, America and Australia. In Europe, he had, among other exhibitions in London, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, and Rome. So also in the countries of the Americas, such as in Brazil, Bahia, San Paulo, and the United States. Even famous curator of origin Magelang, Oei Hong Điên, never pursue painting Affandi to Rio de Janeiro.

Hi all .. now I'll try to share a little info about the Run Island is located in the Banda Islands, Indonesia raya. Maybe some people already know about this Run Island. However, his reply was not one I wrote about the beauty of this island of Run, because I was a native Indonesia. just maybe I will start to tell a little story from the island of Run (Indonesia Raya)

Manhattan, New York, never exchanged one island in Indonesia. Run Island of Indonesia has had once so famous and hotly contested many countries. The extent of the island is only 3x1 km square was located in the constellation Banda Islands, Maluku Sea waters. In 1667, the Dutch seized the Run from the UK. Instead, countries that suffered the fever of this spice island mortgage east coast colonies in the Americas, namely New Amsterdam or Manhattan, which has an area 20 times the island of Run.

Run is a small and remote. But it was the only Dutch ambition that has not been solved. Island of nutmeg trees are so valuable, but the Dutch lost quickly from the UK. First country to find the Run in 1603.Thirteen years later, the British sent Captain Nathaniel Courthope to prevent the Dutch claimed the island. Contracts offered to Courthope Run residents will be independent islands under United Kingdom.

However, the Dutch were relentless curiosity. During the four years the country's fleet, and eventually surrounded the Run Courthope killed in 1620. England surrendered without resistance. Through an agreement called Breda, the UK was willing to leave the Run and eligible for Manhattan who was then a Dutch colony.

Forward to the 21st century, Manhattan has grown to be the largest business center and most populous region of the United States. Large companies until the UN chose Manhattan as the headquarters. Meanwhile, the Run Island still not much changed, still a remote island with few inhabitants that floated in the Banda Sea (Indonesia Raya)

For my own island gave pride Run For people Indonesia highway, because the island so beautiful that it became seizure Run a foreign country .. so, who was People Indonesia raya to preserve the beautiful nature of this.

Clear sea, covered in green and blue nodes up to the edge of stunning white sand beach. Blue sky and palm trees palm trees that continue to address the coming wave the ocean breeze, the scenery itself. Natural beauty that seemed to compete with the charm of megalithic culture and customs houses and other environmentally friendly work of the people of Nias, North Sumatra, which has hundreds of years old.

Nias is not only a cultural heritage, dance and historic tradition. Natural beauty of the pristine and enchanting beaches that had not yet revealed much. Nias Island and 130 of the surrounding island beaches have potential and very beautiful waves. Surfing (surfing), or simply enjoy the bare-chested on the beach sun, the picture attached to Nias and surrounding islands. Although, the potential has not been optimally treated, especially after the Nias affected by the tsunami and earthquake disaster.

Some tourist objects Nias was known internationally, ranging from surfing where practically compete with Hawaii, which is in Sorake and Lagundri Coast, and complex custom homes in the village Bawamataluo Nias, South Nias. Rites also jump and dance rock war. Similarly, there are sub Sirombu Onolimbu Indigenous Village.Besides Sorake Beach and Lagundri Beach, Nias still has some potential waves and beaches for surf tourism in height between 4-8 meters. Name the region and the island of Pulau Asu Bawa on Hinako Islands, District Sirombu.

Asu Island beauty may not be much different from the islands in the region. But the situation calm and friendliness of local residents made a number of tourists to be at home to enjoy the island. Believe it or not, but the things that tourists left behind a few days outside the inn will remain safe.

"Potential natural small islands around Nias and the friendliness of local people is an important factor encouraging the development of tourism in Nias. It is time to Nias rose," the Head of Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Agency (BRR) Nias, William P Sabandar.

Facilities and transportation to the island of Asu was still limited. Asu Island, with about 20 heads of households (families), residents, only has four simple cottage complex. Each cottage has a complex 5-6 stage housing units. The tourists who live in days there are waiting times when the right for surfing.

While the usual transport route is to use a speedboat from the mainland of Nias, precisely in the District Sirombu, with travel time approximately 1.5 hours. If using a regular boat trips would then be 3-4 hours, and even then depending on the height of the waves. While traveling from Mount Sitoli, Nias District City, to any current Sirombu be faster after a number of roads repaired and widened.

Remoteness of Nias and surrounding islands, such as Asu Island, clearly visible. Because the ocean that separates Nias and the islands of Sumatra Island is the ocean deep. While the ocean transportation is still very minimal. Various seaports, air and land, slowly repaired. This is when the potential of tourism in Nias rose after the constraints of transportation and infrastructure development is resolved with the presence of tens of billions of rupiah.

"The challenge now is how the momentum of infrastructure development and natural potential is so great that it became the economic drivers of the people of Nias are very low," said Agus Mendrofa, one of Nias which promote the island's tourism potential.

Jakarta - The match versus the Police Commission inevitable. Now the parties disclose to each other tend to drop the opponent's weaknesses. Battle field, was held by the case of bank bailouts Century until testimonial Antasari Azhar. Who is stronger?

If the previous inter-enforcement of competition law appears limited only rumors and assumptions, but now it is plainly evident. Each side also has a trump card to bring down the opposition for the sake of securing his own position. Efforts to reconcile the feud President SBY-Police Commission some time ago seemed to fruition. Instead, hatred even more meeka open.

Relying on the testimony Antasari Azhar, calling the Police Commission and the four leaders of four KPK officials. Police officials called entanglement CCA with article 23 of Law Number 31 Year 1999 jo Act No. 20 of 2001 for allegedly have abused power and authority as referred to in Article 421 of the Penal Code.

On calling it, those who meet on Thursday (10 / 9) only the Director of the Commission investigation Iswan Elmi, Kabiro Chaidir Ramli Law Commission, and the Commission of Inquiry Task Widiatmoko Arry. Earlier, on Wednesday (9 / 9) Samtana Rony KPK investigators have also examined the police first.

On the other hand, the Commission also 'threatened' will call Kabareskrim Susno Duadji in cases of alleged corruption in Bank Century. Informed, Susno Duadji cited alleged involvement with two letters which paved the efforts Susno disbursement of U.S. $ 18 million of Boedi Sampoerna at Century Bank. Though for this, the former police chief of West Java was denied.

Plan Commission Susno Duadji call will only take place if the two have met enough evidence to call. "We will examine what this primary, there are indications involved," Waki said the Chief of Prosecution KPK Irianto Samad Seed. Nevertheless he hoped, meant police officers not involved in the alleged corruption case.

Two cases that trigger the rivalry of two law enforcement agencies are now underway. For alleged bribery case of the Director of PT Masaro Anggoro Widjaja of Rp 5.1 billion is currently handled police. Police also have arrested Ary Muladi as a suspect in a fraud case under the pretext of the Commission delegates.

As for the case of Century Bank, State Audit Board (BPK) is still running the audit investigation. Reporting and Analysis Center for Financial Transactions (INTRAC) now also been found 21 suspicious transactions, both domestically and abroad. "Obviously, we transaski was reported to the police," said Yunus Husein, Head of INTRAC.

According to him, based on INTRAC search, large depositors who withdrew funds from the bank after taking over Century Deposit Agency (LPS) only Boedi Sampoerna. Jonah said, the funds drawn by Boedi Sampoerna only Rp 200 billion or approximately 10% of total deposits at the Bank Century of total reach Rp 2 trillion.

Both law enforcement agencies, the Commission and the Police, as encouraged to race in determining the status of the other suspects. If that spirit that continues emphasized, this will certainly precedent butuk for law enforcement in Indonesia. Supposedly, the spirit of the rule of law is put in the frame of transparency, accountability, and full responsibility.

But actually what makes Ketupat a tradition that is always there when "Lebaran" day? Well, below are some interesting things that happened to me can be from several blogs.

Philosophy Ketupat

The question is now, why use Ketupat? For the Javanese, Ketupat has its own meaning, apart from name and form, Ketupat process it self has meaning and significance in the life of Javanese people.

We start from a name

Ketupat in the Java language called Kupat, within one website, mentioned that the tradition of eating Ketupat out (after) "Lebaran" holiday, which is usually called the day of Raya Ketupat, called the Foreign Kupat tradition. Kupat comes from Pat or Lepat (errors) and "Foreign" means outside, or freed or released, in the hope that people who eat Ketupat will return to be reminded that they are independent and free from errors, so that the community expected to forgive one another and fused together with the symbols of sin outside Kupat tradition.

In one other source, Ketupat from kerotoboso (or language acronym) of the word which means Lepat admit admit mistakes. Ketupat tradition is expected to make us want to admit our mistakes, so help us to forgive the mistakes of others as well. Thus, sin which is absorbed each other.

We're talking about the shape

In general, there are two forms of Ketupat, and the most common form is the form known as Ketupat the first lesson in elementary school is a rhombus! Such squares can be interpreted in the Java community as a manifestation of papat five pancer mecca, with share explanations and a variety of ways looked. There are five papat mecca interpret this pancer as the balance of nature: 4 main cardinal directions, ie east, south, west, and north. But all these directions based on a single center. If one of them missing, the balance of nature will be lost. Nor should people, in life, in any direction he went, should never forget pancer: God the Almighty God.

Qibla "papat lima pancer" can also be interpreted as 4 kinds of human passions in Javanese tradition: anger, aluamah, supiah, and mutmainah. Anger is an emotional desire, lust aluamah is to satisfy hunger, lust for supiah is having something beautiful or good, and the lust for mutmainah force myself. These four passions are four things that we conquered during fasting, so by eating Ketupat, symbolized that we are able to fight and conquer this.

We're talking about materials manufacturer

Ketupat is a meal with rice content, which is wrapped with young coconut leaf or coconut leaves slightly yellowish color. One way is to finalize Ketupat boil in coconut milk, or, if Ketupat boiled in plain water, will be served with foods with gravy.

1. Janur

Janur yellow is a symbol of rejection bala. In the Palace of Surakarta, is one of the accessories required to wear, and the shape of a long yellow cloth. This cloth is called samir. Samir is a repellent reinforcements, well, Janur yellow is the symbol of these samir.

2. Rice.

As a symbol of prosperity, rice is considered as a prayer that we were all given the abundance of prosperity after the holidays.

3. Santan.

Coconut milk, or in the Java language Santen, rhymes with the word that means apologize. One of the famous poem called existence Ketupat .(Eat Ketupat use coconut milk.

If there are mistakes please forgive.)

We talk about the tradition of making

Ketupat begins with making the slug. This shell is usually made close to Lebaran, and made a gang, usually by the women with the fingers of the skilled and nimble. Creation of this rollicking tone coming "lebaran"and showed familiarity among residents at the time. This makes the existence of Ketupat, as well as typical foods, as well as the bond between people because of the social interaction between the existing population.

Regard..

Very easy to reach this court, precisely located at Jl Palace

Kasepuhan No. 43. Maybe because it was so close to the city center, Cirebon own citizens many who have never entered into this court.

Admission (year 2007) of Rp. 3000 / person. Entering the area, we will be accompanied by a guide dressed in traditional families are still the palace courtiers. Kraton has a fence and gate are made of red brick structure, and supposedly taped without the use of cement at all. In the palace there are nuances between cultural assimilation Javanese, Sundanese and even China and Europe. In the court yard there is a statue of a white tiger's tail 2. In the area of the palace there is also the Great Mosque Cipta Rasa.

Royal palace in Cirebon has some similarities that may become standard with keraton2 in Cirebon, among others, facing north, then east there is a mosque, has alun2 to the people gathered, and have a statue of King Siliwangi tiger symbol. But of the three existing palace in Cirebon (Kasepuhan, Kanoman and Kacirebonan), the palace seems Kasepuhan the best-kept look.

Inside the museum is located in the North there is the palace of heritage objects such as tools of war empire, cannon and golden carriage used during war. This train is called Train Lion Barong, head of an elephant trunk holds a trident (the influence of Hinduism), the winged eagle (Islamic influence) and tailed dragon (Chinese influence). Train Shockbreaker already have the technology and also has a mechanic to flap its wings. But this train since 1942 has not functioned again and just went out to 'washed' every year on 1 Syawal. Unfortunately conditions are not too manicured, but things in it are hundreds of years old. While at the museum in the southern part of the palace there is jewelry, knick-knacks, dishes, and equipment used at the palace of Sunan Gunung Jati era.

Seen a lot of cultural influence of Islam in the ornamen2 palace. But in this court are also many Chinese also porselain2 lights of Europe and also keramik2 describing image 2 of the characters in the Bible. There is also a painting of King Siliwangi with a tiger, which was highlighted in the picture of King and tiger's eyes will follow us wherever we are in position. Hhmm ... curious? Please try your own. In some rooms there is a tray containing a voluntary contribution for the cleanliness and maintenance of the museum. The guide had told me that in the event Dorce Dorce Show had possessed at this place, because it does not excuse before taking a picture at this place and are recovering after being given a drink from the well at the palace by a guard who dimantera key. The message is that every visitor should maintain an attitude & do not be vain ..

On the whole palace is quite worth a visit, because it was easily accessible and affordable tickets, tour guide was enough detail to give an explanation. Keraton Kasepuhan open from 8:00 to 16:00 hours for the day Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday, for the day Friday from 7.00-11.00 hours, then closed for Friday prayers, and then re-opened at 14.00-16.00 for the day while Sunday / Holidays from hours 8:00 to 17:00

NB: this is the cultural richness that is owned by our beloved country Indonesia raya, so we should maintain and preserve the legacy of our predecessors ... article hopefully can make us all become children of Indonesia upholds the noble culture of their own country ... Indonesia raya greetings

As one of the main character of Majapahit, Gajah Mada's name is very famous in Indonesian society in general. In the early days of independence, the leaders including Sukarno, often called the oath of Gajah Mada as the inspiration and the "proof" that this nation can be united, despite covering a vast territory and cultures different. Thus, Gajah Mada was the inspiration for the Indonesian national revolution for the independence efforts of Dutch colonialism.

Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta is a state university named after him. Indonesian telecommunications satellite that first called the Palapa satellite, which highlights its role as a unifying telecommunications Indonesian people. Many cities in Indonesia has a street named Gajah Mada, but interesting to note that not the case with the cities in West Java.

The books of historical fiction and radio plays are still frequently told Gajah Mada and the struggle to expand the power of Majapahit in the archipelago with Palapanya Oath, as well as the work of sculpture, painting, and others.

This is the content of the " SUMPAH PALAPA"

Sira Gajah Mada pepatih amungkubumi tan ayun amukti palapa, sira Gajah Mada: Lamun huwus kalah nusantara ingsun amukti palapa, lamun kalah ring Gurun, ring Seram, Tañjungpura, ring Haru, ring Pahang, Dompu, ring Bali, Sunda, Palembang, Tumasik, samana ingsun amukti palapa.

means : Gajah Mada sang Mahapatih tak akan menikmati palapa, berkata Gajah Mada, "Selama aku belum menyatukan Nusantara, aku takkan menikmati palapa. Sebelum aku menaklukkan Pulau Gurun, Pulau Seram, Tanjungpura, Pulau Haru, Pahang, Dompu, Pulau Bali, Sunda, Palembang dan Tumasik, aku takkan mencicipi palapa.

if we read the contents of the oath is, how much soul nasionalism which is owned by an GAJAH MADA. So a reasonable, if the founders of this nation Indonesia, inspired by the meaning of the "SUMPAH PALAPA".

greetings Indonesia, hopefully this paper can make up the soul of our nationalism as the forerunner of this nation. "united we stand divided we fall" embody lofty ideals nation Indonesia.
