2014-07-09T07:42:00.000-07:00

This video is what I'm listening to for my writing inspiration today. I love this video and the fantasy elements. Lindsey Stirling reminds me of my main character Danarius with her red hair and violin playing in my book in progress... Seduced by the Pack. Enjoy!

Writing Inspiration for... Akiva

2014-07-09T07:26:00.000-07:00

I spent about 12 hours yesterday editing the first several chapters of my book Seduced by the Pack by E.M. Belacourt. I'm feeling really good with what I have reworked so far and plan on working on more today.

Here's a picture of my writing inspiration for my Nephilim character, Akiva that was previously named Valerian. Akiva is a main character in my book and one of Danarius Everheart's love interests.

The hottie is actually a young Travis Fimmel who now stars in Vikings and is almost unrecognizable from this Calvin Klein model.

Writing Inspiration for... Oleander Bledsoe

2014-06-10T05:47:00.000-07:00

Julianne Hough is my writing inspiration for my vampire character Oleander Bledsoe in my book Seduced by the Pack. Today I am reworking a scene with her and my other ex-Reapers in it.
Enjoy!

2014-04-25T07:55:00.000-07:00

Today's Writing Inspiration... Adeline Cambridge

2014-04-19T21:53:00.000-07:00

This artwork by Nene Thomas is what I imagine epitomizes my character Adeline Cambridge in my book Seduced by the Pack. The Master Vampire of Wicklow's Mistress. Enjoy!

Today's writing inspiration... Remy Knight

2014-04-17T19:33:00.000-07:00

Tyler Hoechlin is my writing inspiration for my werewolf character Remy Knight in my book Seduced by the Pack. I have been spending the day reworking a scene with him and his love interest Danarius. You may have seen him as the delicious werewolf Derek on the MTV series Teen Wolf. Enjoy!

What I'm listening to... "I wanna get better" by Bleachers

2014-04-16T06:29:00.000-07:00

I imagine this is the Anthem for the Reapers in my book Seduced by the Pack. They are lost souls that don't realize that they needed saving until they are. Everyone needs a hero. Enjoy!

Inspiration... Sable Pendragon

2014-04-15T09:47:00.000-07:00

Sable Pendragon: Seelie Queen of Odessa

Today I keep thinking about Sable in my story Seduced by the Pack, and how maybe she approached Danarius with news of the Council meeting in Faerie.

I imagine she would look something like this. Enjoy!

Inspiration of the day... Tygerian Naharis

2014-04-14T08:06:00.001-07:00

This is what I imagine my Dark Fey King looks like. Tygerian Naharis in my book Seduced by the Pack under my pen name E.M. Belacourt.

What I'm Listening to... Elements by Lindsey Stirling

2014-04-14T07:19:00.001-07:00

Today's musical inspiration comes from Lindsey Stirling. It is called Elements and I absolutely love her violin playing and graceful movements throughout this video which also is a teaser for the TV series Dracula. The main character Danarius Everheart, in my book Seduced by the Pack (not yet published) also plays the violin and I imagine she would look like Lindsey while playing. Enjoy!

Beta Readers

2014-04-13T17:32:00.000-07:00

I found this image on Pinterest a while ago.

My 2nd Book in progress as a new writer

2012-09-02T21:05:00.000-07:00

Well, I finished writing my first book last month, a paranormal romance. It is told only from the main characters point of view in first person. After getting halfway through the first round of editing on it, I came up with another book idea.

So, I am now working on writing book 2, which is an alternate version of my first book.

Why, you may ask? Because my story has so many people that I have decided to split it up a bit and concentrate on the main characters. I don't want the reader to get confused by the complexity of my story that they can't enjoy it.

The new version is broader and from multiple characters points of view and I hope a bit more interesting and relatable.

I 'm still not ready to even commit to a blurb for either story because as I write and edit I come up with even greater ideas.

So for now, I am off to spend a day at the beach with my characters, Rogue and Valentino.

Until next next time!
Emma

I have actually been hard at work for the past few months on my first paranormal romance book. I don't want to spill any story details yet but I am hopeful it will get published. When I feel more confident in the complete storyline I will try to post updates here. Wish me luck!
