Ola!

Two days back I was discharged from the hospital. I was sick since last Thursday but it got more serious on Monday which meant I had to be admitted to the hospital straight away. I sorta had a panic attack and thought I was dying. Silly me..

I'm sure now you're all sitting there thinking away. Well, to make things short, I had blood infection. It gave me random high fevers during the day and made me ill 24/7. I could barely even walk. I don't really want to write a long bloody essay on it so I'll just leave it there.

I'm doing much better now. I think it's good to get admitted to the hospital at least once in your life. For starters you find out who really gives a fuck about you. And I have realized now that my health is the most important thing in life.

So to everybody out there, stop fucking up your body.

I would like to quote the great Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra who wrote;

This terrible episode of sacking the Lord President should serve as a lesson to the people of Malaysia as well as to people in many developing countries where judicial independence is seen by those who wield power only as an inconvenience and a threat to what they arrogantly believe is their God-given right to do as they please.

The way I look at it, they have have made a martyr of Tun Salleh and he deserves to be honoured and respected as such. What happened to him may prevent others in this country from suffering the same fate.

What is written in this book will be a lesson to young Malaysians who have a long way to go. Let us try do what is right for the future generations. I sincerely hope this story is widely read and always remembered by the people.

You know, I always thought life could never be that hard. This was many years ago of course, when I was young and carefree. If I could just go back in time and speak to my old self for a couple of minutes, maybe things would be different now. But if I did I probably wouldn't be the person I am today.

This place.. it has made me realize a lot. You do a lot of thinking here. Probably because that's the only thing you can do in a place like this.

I first came here with high hopes and dreams. I was excited to be starting a new chapter in my life. Few months into it and I wondered why I even came here in the first place. But I had no choice, so I soldiered on. All the money put into this, I couldn't just give up. And believe me, I wanted to give it all up to be honest. I started to think if aviation was really for me. Some couldn't take it anymore so they packed their bags and left. But how could I leave after all I've been through here? I just couldn't..

My dad didn't want me to become a pilot. He told me to study in Malaysia first. Even my mom told me not to come here, and I should just do my training elsewhere. But did I listen? No. I wanted to pursue my dreams to be a pilot. And look where it has got me today.

Flying is great don't get me wrong. But this place, the people, they make me hate aviation. I even have trust issues now after everything that has happened. Everyone is so nice to you in the beginning, and then after awhile you see their true colours.

And I can't believe how supportive both my parents have been. Especially my dad. When I failed an exam not once but twice, he told me he too had failed a couple of exams during his time in university. But he told me to never give up, and to try harder next time. He never once got angry with me. He keeps telling me that Allah is testing me. That this is one of His many tests that I will have to face in life, and the harder your life is, the more Allah loves you. Or something between those lines. But I wonder.. how could He even love such a person as myself? Like I said you think more than you should over here..

But you know.. I don't regret anything. If I didn't come here, I probably wouldn't appreciate life as much. And my family and friends back home. It's been one hell of a life experience living here. One that I would have never learnt if I was still living in Malaysia, because life was too easy for me over there. I had pretty much everything. But once you lose everything, once you have nobody to help you out and you have to stand on your own two feet, you look at life from a different perspective. It's like I've been given a new pair of eyes to see. And I like what I see.

I don't expect any of you to understand what I've been through here. Not even my parents or my friends would understand. You just can't explain it until you've lived through it all. I really hope that none of you will ever experience it because it means some of you might give up on your dreams. And that's one thing you should never give up on.

Perseverance. That's one word you could call it. Maybe years from now I'll look back and say, "I've finally made it". I just hope it's all worth it in the end. Don't we all?

What is up with Malaysians nowadays? (Malays to be specific) Why do we care so much with what others do with their own lives? Does it affect us in any way? Must we condemn others just because they don't wear the "tudung"? You probably know who I'm talking about.. I won't bother mentioning her name here.

You know, every fucking time I see someones name trending on Twitter, it's always a Malay. And it's the Malays who are talking about it all. Starting all the hoo-ha. It's a fact that if the person (who must not be named) was Chinese or Indian, nobody would give two fucks. It's because only the Malays would care about such a matter as small as this. Please try and prove me wrong. We care so much about what people do with their lives. Suka sangat jaga tepi kain orang, betul?

Aduh.. but this is nothing new if you're Malaysian. It's just the way we are I guess.

I say let them do what the fuck they want, it's between them and God. It's none of our business, and please don't try and act like such a saint on the internet, who are you trying to fool? It's as if the ones who are voicing out have already been guaranteed a spot in heaven.

The fact is, the ones who have problems with all this bullshit have never stepped outside Malaysia. They don't know how the outside world is like. It's the same with Australia, just look at the Australians who have never left the country. Most of them are racist fucks let me tell you that. They're not exposed to the outside world. Katak bawah tempurung la bro. Korang semua katak le..

Thing is, Malaysia will never ever move forward if we keep making stuff like this an issue. We're too busy arguing about how others should be instead of looking at ourselves first. Everyone needs to stop acting like Gods and just get on with their lives.

At the end of the day, it's your own sins that will be accounted for, not anyone else's. Simple as.

Another year has passed. What can I say about 2011? It's been one hell of a ride for me. Ups and downs, but mostly downs for me. Nonetheless it has been a year of learning for me. I have gained a lot of experience to carry with me in 2012 and the years to follow. I can't say I enjoyed it too much, but at times when I did I felt like I was on top of the world.

Like any other year, I don't have any new year's resolutions bullshit. I don't believe in these kind of stuff honestly. I do look forward to 2012, whether the world is gonna end in 12 months time we'll have to wait and see. But I want this year to be the year of travelling. I want it to be full of adventure if possible. So if the world does end, I'll have no regrets. I'm gonna live it as if the world is gonna end.

I have a feeling after a year of disappointment, 2012 will be good to me. If there's one thing I have learnt in 2011 is that nothing ever goes as planned. And it's better to keep quiet 99% of the time. And the world is not what you think it is.. Okay, that's more than one thing, but like I said I have learnt a lot. Maybe we can meet up one day and I'll tell you what I've been through.

I just wanna wish everyone a happy new year and I hope it turns out to be a great year for everyone.

Dulu masa kecik, dunia sangat cantik. Bila dah besar, semakin buruk jadinya.

I guess that's life. Everything changes around you, nothing stays the same. Change is the only constant. But I guess that's a good thing, that means this fucked up world will hopefully change for the better (or it might go kaboom!). We might even have a new government next year. Who knows?

I doubt much will change though. People don't like change. In fact, we hate change. We want everything to stay the same. Well the rich and powerful certainly don't want things to change. The only people who want change are the poor and the powerless - hoping for a miracle to happen..

I think the only prayer that never comes true is world peace. We pray for the world but it gets worse. So really there's no point of praying for something that will never come true. Like there's no point of posting up pictures of cows getting slaughtered. But hey, we like pointless things don't we? Just like me writing this post, pointless.

Or maybe not. Maybe everything that's happening now will lead us to somewhere nice. Where people don't fuck you up and everybody lives happily ever after. But life's no fucking fairytale, so we can cross that one out. So where do we go now?

In the end, we have to be patient, with ourselves and others. If you want, pray for patience. At least that's something that's more reasonable (I think). Just don't pray via Twitter, I can't guarantee you that God has an account. But you still can do a #tweetprayer if you want to look religious. Seems to be the new in thing.

And then we just sit back and watch the world destroy itself.. err. I mean rebuild.
