Do the same for all detected malware files in the list of running processes.
To check if the malware process has been terminated, close Task Manager, and then open it again.

Behavior: Email Worm

I-Worm.Mydoom.m spreads via the Internet as an attachment to infected messages.

The worm itself is a Windows PE EXE file approximately 27KB in size, packed using UPX. The unpacked file is approximately 50KB in size.

The worm is only activated when a user opens the archive and launches the infected file by double-clicking on it. The worm will then install itself on the system and begin propagating.

The worm contains a backdoor function.

Part of the body of the worm is encrypted.

Installation

When installing, the worm copies itself as 'java.exe' to the Windows root directory, and registers this file in the system registry. This ensures the worm will be launched each time the infected system is booted.

ActiveX was a by product of Microsoft's Object Linking and Embedding or OLE and Component Object Model or COM technologies. ActiveX control is a way of controlling these ActiveX technologies. It is basically an OLE that supports the IUnkown interface.

An ActiveX control can be activated by a Web browser. Since the ActiveX is not a programming language, programmers are able to create and develop ActiveX controls in different languages which include Visual Basic, C, C++, and Java. It is the third version of OLE controls that came out and is capable of managing the distribution of components over networks and enabling the integration of controls into Web browsers for easier applications of ActiveX.

Such enhancements brought about by controls of ActiveX results to additional features like:

2. code signing
3. identification of authors of controls

Manual Process of removal

I prefer manual process simply because it gives me option to learn new things in the process.

Search for autorun.inf file. It is a read only file so you will have to change it to normal by right clicking the file , selecting the properties and un-check the read only option.

Open the file in notepad and delete everything and save the file.
Now change the file status back to read only mode so that the virus could not get access again.

Click start->run and type msconfig and click ok
Go to startup tab look for regsvr and uncheck the option click OK.
Click on Exit without Restart, cause there are still few things we need to do before we can restart the PC.

A bit is short for “binary digit.” It is basically how a computer stores and makes references to data, memory, etc. A bit can have a value of 1 or 0, that’s it. So binary code is streams of 1’s and 0’s, such as this random sequence 100100100111. These bits are also how your processor does calculations. By using 32 bits your processor can represent numbers from 0 to 4,294,967,295 while a 64-bit machine can represent numbers from 0 to 18,446,744,073,709,551,615. Obviously this means your computer can do math with larger numbers, and be more efficient with smaller numbers.

Now see, that description wasn’t too bad, but the question is how does this affect you, the average PC owner? The largest benefit will go to academic institutions and private companies, where large calculations are being performed, huge databases are being accessed, and complex problems are being solved.

Everyone that doesn’t fall into that category will see some benefit of using 64 bit processors over 32 bit processors, but not much in today’s marketplace. The AMD Athlon 64-bit processor is completely backward compatible, meaning you can currently use it with 32-bit operating systems and software programs. You will see some benefits by using this setup, but because the programs weren’t written to take advantage of the extra power, they won’t use much of it.

The true benefits of this set up don’t come from the amount of bits, but by the improved structure of the 64 bit vs 32 bit processor's older structure. Update: Computer Software Tips - Clearing Google Internet Search History

Select "Internet Options" from the Internet Explorer "Tools" menu.

Select the "Content" tab at the top of the "Internet Options" window.

In the "Personal information" section at the bottom, click the "AutoComplete" button.

On the AutoComplete Settings window, click on the "Clear Forms" button.

You will get a window asking you to confirm clearing the history.

Click "OK", and you're done..

OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer like DELL or HP.

1. OEM Windows Vista is cheaper than full retail and around retail upgrade.
2. OEM edition does not include manual or box.
3. OEM is tied to the motherboard on the first install.
4. You can't contact Microsoft for support. Retail version includes 90 days free support.

Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Retail $240 - OEM $120

You can get around #3 by calling Microsoft and telling them your motherboard has failed.

Note:
1. The software on disc is EXACTLY the same as retail.
2. OEM is tied only to the motherboard.
