I received a message from an unknown number...

Not knowing who the stranger is, I replied;

"I'm fine. Can I know who is this?

How did you get my number?"

I even Google-ed for "4rm.com" but the result come up nothing.

Plus I'm sure I did not give my number to any "Kevin"

So I replied; "Umm.. I think You got the wrong number, sorry".

I was surprised he sms-ed a reply back.

Most probably to apologize, I thought.

Only to find out he has not learn from his mistakes...

In a fit of annoyance, I reply back;

"No dude.. I'm a guy..."

That should deter him from further ruining my day...

Having concluded this guy is never going to learn, I can only roll my eyes upwards and don't bother to entertain his SMS any longer.

Looking for a job (Part 2)

When I first accepted the "Sales and marketing job", I was (kinda) excited and nervous at the same time. I was excited because I thought I found my dream job; a challenging marketing job in a internationally recognized company which promises a good salary and good career growth prospect.

Based on their website, the job description lead me to think of it as a job where clients will come to the company in search for marketing ideas to campaign or launch their new product to the masses. Unfortunately I was very very wrong.

Anyway, I will get back to that later...

The 1st day at work was uneventful as it was "Orientation and Training Day", I walked into the office expecting to see a group of aspiring marketer who, like me have just been recruited into the company.

Can you imagine how surprise I was to find the office empty, (except for a few senior staff discussing something in the corner). Where are the rest of the people who was suppose to attend training? Was I late? have everybody left for training somewhere else?

I was very disappointed when I found out that I was the only one who will be going through the orientation....

Just one lonely aspiring marketer (ME) =(

Anyway, fast forward to several hours later... I have completed the training and was allowed to go home after lunch to rest up for the big day tomorrow. (The day where I will actually be doing real work...)

I was so pumped and motivated after training...

How naive of little G-Devil... Little does he know what awaits him tomorrow.

On day 2 of the "sales and marketing job", I was LATE for work!!!

( I know.!!! what a great way for first impression right?)

Today, I was assigned to field work at Wisma Cosway,

(For those of you who do not know where Wisma Cosway is... Its on the left hand side of The Pavilion)

As I mentioned earlier, I thought the job requires 70% marketing and 30% sales skills, because the name for the job position was "Sales and Marketing Executive". Unfortunately, It turns out that the job actually requires 99.999% Sales Skill and 0.001% marketing skills.

Let me explain to you the daily routine of the "Sales and Marketing job"....

Every morning,(At 8.30am) we have to go to the office for a briefing session before going out for field work
Then around 10am, we have to go to our assigned "STATIONS" located at most shopping malls and office areas.
At the station, we need to set up our station and get ready to make sales!
After that, we are suppose to stop any passerby to listen to our sales pitch and try to tempt him/her to sign up for our client's services/products.

This is what I was doing at my station....

It was after spending the whole morning stopping random strangers that it occurred to me that I have been conned (I would describe it more as "marketed") by one of the oldest tricks in the Marketing Handbook. The one where they make the things they are trying to market sound grander than it is....

For example, instead of using "Cleaning Lady" to describe the job, they change the job title to "Hygiene Operator Officer". Basically, the job tittle "Sales and Marketing Exec" is just a fancy name for a "annoying salesperson" job.

Hi sir! Can I annoy you till you buy something from me?

In addition to that, the job does not give a basic salary or does it give any EPF and SOCSO benefits. You only earn money if you can successfully close a sale.

In other words... No SALE, No Money!

Finding out that this job is not suitable for me, I sneaked away around lunch time and "SMS-ed" my resignation to the boss and my superior (I was too chicken to tell them face to face). My superior took the news quite well... He even wished me good luck in my future endeavors. Wish I could say the same for the Boss...

My Boss's reply ;

How can you do this after all the effort we put into you?

(I only worked for less than 48 hours in with you... How much sweat, blood and tears did you pour into me?)

Seriously, what goes around, will come around.

(I'm have already gone around and I'm not coming back EVER!!! Especially after the SMS you sent )

Although I have no regret quitting the job, I can't help but feel depressed for being such a failure at not toughing it out,,,

Hopefully my alternative "office job" will not be as misleading as this job...

Looking for A Job (Part 1)

I received a call from a "office job" position I applied at the beginning of September.

The Good News is: I'm Hired (Hurray!)

The Bad news is: I have to wait for 3 months before I can start work (Something about having some HR issue)

Not wanting to be unemployed for another 3 months, I searched the classifieds for other job vacancy as an alternative.

Finally, by the end of the month, my hard work (of regularly sending hundreds of email) paid off.

I found another job related to sales and marketing.

When I got back home from my interview, I called the "Office Job" again to confirm again if I need to wait 3 months for the job...

Suddenly, they told me that the HR issue has been settled...
(Why never informed me earlier? #$%^)

Now they wanted me to start work on the 1st of October. But few hours ago, I promised to start work at the "sales marketing" job on the 27th of September.

Therefore, now i'm in a dilemma... Which job should I go for?

(Suddenly it seems like everyone wants to hire me...)

I literally feel like this... (@_@). I can't decide which job I wanted to take.

Therefore, I decided to try the "Sales and Marketing job" first to see if I like it there or not to determine if I should let go of the "office job".

Whenever I'm online, I always feel lazy to find food

Even when I'm starving and did not have a bite for the whole day...

Fortunately, on one of these occasion when I was hungry...
A guardian angel (Figuratively speaking) in the form of my roommate came to my rescue!

On one fine day, my roommate answered my silent prayer to save me from starvation

I was so grateful towards his act of kindness that I (err... maybe) showed it too enthusiastically.

Unfortunately, the look on his face shows that he was freaked out by my action. So I don't expect him to repeat his act of kindness any time soon.

For some reason, I always tend to procrastinate till the last minute to do things...

Yesterday, mum asked me to take out the trashed;

but I was busy playing a game, I forgotten.

2 hours later....
Procrastinate again...

4 hours after that, I still have not taken out the trash.
I better get out before I have to face Mum's fury.

Lucky for me, by the time I got home.
Mum already forgotten what she was angry about.

I seem to have this habit of waiting until the last minute to do things.

Like just yesterday, my mother wanted me to take out the trash, but I was too busy playing game that I forgot all about it.

2 hours later, mum reminded me again, "have you taken out the rubbish?". Being so engrossed in the game, I procrastinated again.

After a total of 4 hours later, mum was furious that the trash is still there. I freaked, and decided to get out of the house before I have to face her anger.

Fortunately for me, Mum calms down fairly quickly and by the time I got home, she already taken out the rubbish herself and forgot she was angry at me.

Yes... I know. I'm a bad, bad son...

I seem to have developed a belly after not working out for some time.

I need to get back to my exercise routine.
Swimming, Running, Gym... What else can I do?
I thought if I trained vigorously enough, I will look like this;
However, I have been so out of shape lately that,
I end up hurting myself from exercising too hard...

Recently I have been so busy with work that I have neglected working out
so much that I have become a bit err.. Porky.

So for the past few days i have been working out so intensely:
Swimming, Running, and Weight lifting.

I was so convinced that if I work hard enough I would be able to get back to the shape I once was. (Slim and Fit)

However, instead of getting a slim body,
I end up pushing my body to hard and now I have aches all over my body. Ugh.. The pain.

Hi everyone... Still G-Devil the "Store Boy" here... *Sigh* Still have not been promoted back to Office boy yet. By right, the warehouse clearance is supposed to be finished the 19th, which is tomorrow. Actually we finished everything last Tuesday... Even had a big McDonald feast to celebrate. (I LOVE MC D!!!)

Alas!! fate has a twisted mind who likes to play tricks on us mortals. We were informed that there is 800 carton on inventory coming in that needs to be sorted out!! Not only that.. For some reason, the old stocks that we sorted out have been sorted wrongly.... So we have to take out all of 2007 stocks (Imagine.. A WHOLE year worth of stocks!!!!!) and do it all over again... So have to extend being a store boy for another week!

I am (Or was ... I don't stay angry for long) so pissed off... Why did they not check properly on the correct procedures before asking us to do the stock clearance? Why should we bother to do again anyway!!!! We been working for non-stop for 2 weeks!! Now you want us to work for another week in that sweltering hot, smelly and dirty warehouse!!! To make things worst... Alot of the helper are getting angry of the warehouse management inefficiency that they do not want to work anymore!! So less manpower means more work for us and extended to a longer time...

Err... No. Not that really want to. I don't see what is a big deal watching celebrity getting a golden doll is... I mean, it's not like it is American Idols or something. Now that is what I called entertainment! I love watching the American Idols auditions cos thats went all the weird people come out to make a fool of themselves.

But the Oscar awards is entertaining!!! My favourite is during the red carpet session where we can see what celebrity today are wearing and what is considered as fashionable today! For example, look at what Lady GAGA wore for the red carpet!!

Sigh... So sad. Woe Woe... pitiful me. I got demoted from a trainee in the office to a storeboy in the warehouse. That's cos the company is having a warehouse clearance going on so all staff have to pitch in to help. So for the past week and also the next following week I will be spending my working hours "Working" in a stuffy hot warehouse instead a air-conditioned office. (I'm seriously not being paid enough to do this kind of job!!!!)

I been thinking of changing the content of my blog from a "U" rated blog to a at least a "PG13" blog (If you know what i mean =))

At first i was worry that writing a non-wholesome blog would cause any unsuspecting children surfing the net to stumble on my blog and taint their innocent little minds.

Then i had a revelation.. U rated stuff are too boring. Nobody would want to read those stuff and their minds are most probably tainted already. So what the heck? I'm going to write what ever i want on MY BLOG and i don't give a DAMN whose mind i might taint in the future*Insert sinister laughter*

The working life not at all
how I imagined it to be though...

I always though it would be less stressful than studying and less taxing on the brain.
Turns out working is more stressful then studying...

That's b'cos when studying, you only need to crack you brain to study for the exams at the end of the semester... (Especially if you are a last minute study student like yours truly Xp)

But working life is entirely different. you need to crack your head everyday to do your job, please the boss and navigate through the minefields of office politics... (To make things worse you need to do it for the rest of your life or at least until you retire. Whichever comes first..)

My advice... Stay in school as long as you can!!!

I did consider changing its name to something more manly like Tom or Jack, but It will only respond to me when i called it Mimi. (Sigh)

So i tot of calling him "Mimi" which is short for Mimilion.
(Sounds like a manly rich cat's name right?)

Sorry for not posting regularly... I think my old sickness of procrastination is coming back.

If the eggs you eat everyday had faces on them would you think twice about eating them? I thought to myself..." If they could communicate with each other (in other words, alive) What would they say to each other?"

BTW food for thought... Is an egg considered alive or is it only when the creature within pops out then only is it considered alive? Hmm...

Anyway, back to talking eggs... Here is what i think eggs would say in these situations:

When we decided which egg to be turned into lunch...

or when we try to stab it with a fork?

Am i considered a sick man when i say" Who to cook next?" to my eggs before i cook them?

For humans, "Hell is burning for eternity".
I think this is what eggs called hell...

If they survive that torture, then they will sure fall when sentence to
"BEING BANGED WITH SPOON TO DEATH!!!"

Many would probably be more careful when carrying eggs after seeing this ...

Now do you still like eating eggs? Besides being wholesomely delicious, I heard that eggs could also be great actors as they are very dramatic individuals... For example:

Although Eggs are great Actors, they are very sensitive and tend to crack easily under pressure (Which is true to the nature of eggs) and tend to be suicidal.

Imagine me.. holding a stack of paper full of my drawings on it...

Now imagine me without a scanner near me.. ( Cos Santa forgot to deliver it)

Plus the computer i'm using now does not have photoshop because the owner of this PC say that Photoshop is not necessary.. X_X (Where got such thing as Photoshop is not necessary!!!@#$%^)
