I've been on a whirlwind. Crazy busy again with both businesses, but I love it. As if there wasn't enough "crazy", I added homeschooling to the mix. Now, I think I'm becoming delirious! LOL

But I still have a sarcastic sense of humor that gets me by daily.

I will share some images that I did on Halloween. As you know, I have a photography business as well and did a photobooth for our Halloween Party. It was a BLAST! Hope you enjoy some tidbits of it. Here's some pix:

I have been very busy lately with both of my businesses that I haven't blogged much about scrapbooking. I want to share a sneak peak of some of my work in my photography world. I hope you love it as much as I do. I love reminding women how beautiful and powerful they are. I love to remind them that it's okay to feel sexy and be a diva for a day. It's official. I win the SUCKIEST BLOGGER award! LMAO. Yes, I said LMAO and yes, I said it. I suck at blogging. But, I will continue to strive to do better. I really should figure out how to combine the two blogs I have. Did you fall out of your chair? Yes, I have 2 of them and let me repeat again, that I suck at blogging.

There are some new projects on the way. Anyone interested in a Digital Scrapbooking workshop? I've only toyed with the idea, but not sure if I should go full steam ahead. I've had sooooo many ideas just spinning in my head. I was thinking of some sort of fast track to digital scrapbooking. I believe it would be a one day or two day workshop. By the end of it, you should have an album completed. I have not figured in what the price range would be, but if it's something you really want to jump on, leave a comment or facebook me.

Okay, moving on. There are so many creations my fellow designers are making. It is sic...crazy sic, awesome, fabulous...you name it.

Right now, Vinnie Pearce is definitely working her mad skills with all of her creations. Check out Two Peas in a Bucket. She released a new kit today: Live, Laugh, Love. I totally had it backwards on some of my gallery postings ( I think I put "Live, Love, Laugh)...but shhhh.. let's keep that on the down low. Here's what I created with it. It's really very simple.

I must say that I am SUPER excited to announce that I am now a member of Vinnie Pearce's Design Team. I've admired her work for quite some time and am just really honored to work with her. Vinnie recently closed down her shop at Pixel Canvas, but wait......she's now on Two Peas in a Bucket. YEAH!

Vinnie recently released her new collection titled: Toybox. Everything about it is Fabulous! What is so cool is to see what Paper scrappers, card makers and digital scrapbookers do on 2Peas with these wonderful designs. It is so versatile. Now, I haven't done anything paper or card wise in ages, but these gals are so inspiring and I am now tempted to dive into the paper world again. I guess maybe I should ease my way into this and do something hybrid. I won't hold my breath though, since I'm involved in many various projects and working on my own 2 businesses.

Speaking of Businesses, I just got back from WPPI, which is a photography convention that was held in Las Vegas. It was AMAZING and yet, overwhelming at the same time. There were so many wonderful speakers and being in the Trade Show was like being a kid in the candy store. Talk about overwhelming. It was truly information overload. I am just so thankful I had awesome friends, who I consider family there with me. Here's a layout I did using Vinnie Pearce's Toybox kit in honor of my time in WPPI. I was quite loopy as the picture shows. LOL

My dear friend, Carolyn Wells from Carolyn Wells Photography, was so kind enough to "shoot" me. Here's a couple of layouts I did using those images. Paislee Press and Taylormade Designs collaborated to design these awesome quick pages. It's called Love is and it's available at Oscraps.com.

Okay, I think I've babbled long enough. I just wanted to end this note with a few more goofy images from WPPI. They had a photo booth there called Smilebooth, which was LOADS of fun to do. I can't resist posting a few of them here. Teehee Trust me...there will be more to come. LOL

I can't seen to keep up with this blog. I've been crazy busy with all my different projects.

But for now, here's a recent page I did for Amanda's digidare which focused on change. What changes are occuring in you life? What changes do you want to happen? What changes have happened that you are not happy with. Reflect on this. It's a good thing. :)

And I did this page for an Oscraps challenge. I had documented some of my daily gripes as a mother and boy, was it therapeutic. I learned that I was not alone. I also got 3 gallery standouts for this layout. Yeah, Me! :) So tell me, what are your daily gripes as a mother? I chose to turn these daily gripes and add humor to them. It helped me act in a place of privilege vs pressure. I am privileged to have children to do laundry for. I am privileged to have the opportunity to teach my children basic living skills. I am privileged that I have the opportunity to teach my children about caring for others and having responsibilities. I am privileged.

I wanted to share something very moving. Rialee Photography is coordinating sponsorship for children in Bukedea. I was really moved by the story about Margaret and hoping to sponsor her. You see, my oldest son is close to her age and I can't even entertain the thought of him taking care of his siblings on his own. Yes, I was moved to tears. Regardless, I am more than happy to sponsor another and make a difference. Check out her blog and maybe you can sponsor a child too.

Here's another shot taken at the Boudoir Divas Worskhop. Sarah was a natural at the shoot and rocked this pose. I want to buy this sofa she is laying on. It's sleek. It's modern. It's sexy. Yes...it's oh so sexy. Speaking of wanting to buy things. I never realized how expensive being a photographer really is and I don't think non-photographers are aware of that either. You've got cameras, lens, other accessories, possibly studio lighting, software, computer/laptop, hard drives, memory cards, training material/workshops, website, logo, marketing. Aagh...you name it....it's a lot and it's expensive. So, to my fellow photographers, I salute you for all that you do. You make fabulous images and works of art that touch the lives of others.

Okay, everyone...Yes, I'm still a slacker here when it comes to blogging. But, I'll have to admit that I have been very busy. I've got lots of projects in the works. As some of you may know, I've been pursuing two of my passions. One of them photography and the other, opening my learning center. It's important for me to empower parents and children who are struggling with learning issues.

I found office space for my center and will be moving in in 2 weeks. Woohoo! Now, this isn't a typical learning center that focuses on academics. I dig deeper!!!! My Center focuses on the underlying issues and gets to the root of the problem, which is inefficient learning skills. A good learner needs to have a good foundation of underlying learning skills. These skills include the following:

Developmental Learning Skills: These are basic visual and motor skills that help children develop a sense of self, internal organization, and body and attention awareness and control.

Processing Skills: These are skills such as attention, memory, auditory and visual processing (how we think about and understand things we see and hear), processing speed, language, comprehension, and phonemic awareness (the thinking process critical to reading that supports learning and using phonics).

Executive Function: This is our personal manager that guides and directs our attention and behavior. It helps us reason, problem solve, organize and make decisions.

If a child has problems with any of the underlying learning skills, he/she will struggle to keep up and have inconsistent grades and test scores. In addition, most kids look like they have an attention problem, or AHDED, however, this is a symptom of poor learning skills.

Okay, seriously...why am I telling you this in my digital scrapbooking and photography blog, it's because every one of us knows someone who is struggling with these types of issues. Some hit closer to home than others. Most people don't even know there are solutions out there that remediate the problem vs accommodate the problem. I don't want to say that tutoring centers and teachers/educational system is at fault. Their job is to teach academics. Sometimes, it takes MORE than a tutor. There are special Learning Centers out there who address those underlying skills. If you want more, email me, leave a comment, contact me in some way, shape or form. I can lead you to the right direction or I can help you personally at my new office. :)

Okay, NOW...let's move on to Photography. I had mentioned I was on my journey to learn more. I have been inspired by Boudoir Photography. As a matter of fact, I was so inspired, I signed up to attend the Boudoir Divas workshop in San Diego next week. WOOHOO!...yes, I know..it's SAUCY! I am SUPER excited about this and can't wait. I think every woman should feel beautiful and sexy, no matter what the age or size! Check out divas at www.theboudoirdivas.com. I will be building my portfolio at the workshop. How cool is that?!? Oh, one more project. I've enrolled myself in Jesh De Rox's Upward Spiral University and am currently attending a 6 month course as a follow up to the Life as an Artform Workshop that was held in Santa Barbara. So far, it's been an amazing experience. Check out www.Jeshderox.com and look into his workshop info. I believe registration for Seattle and Singapore is open this evening. Okay. I know it's been awhile since I've last posted. It's been a very busy month. I just returned from an amazing workshop with Jesh de Rox in Santa Barbara. I originally went for self-discovery and to learn to better express myself with the camera. I can't believe I was blessed with so much more. I met some wonderrful photographers and artists. One of them being Amy Seeley. If you haven't heard her music, it's a must to check out. Go to www.amyseeley.com or search her in itunes. Her music will touch your soul.

Going back to Jesh...if you want to attend a photography workshop, this is one you can't let slide by. You will leave looking at life and your relationships in a whole new light and that, in turn, enhances your photography. We got to stay at the Freedom House, which is David Jay's studio. I tell ya, DJ is such a nice guy and friendly host. Check out his work too, if you haven't already. He is currently promoting his website software, Showit. Jesh also did a workshop covering his Colorshift actions, Textures and shared his new Beloved project. I know... I'm going on and on, but what I experienced really couldn't be summed up in these paragraphs and it really wouldn't do it justice.

After my workshop, I went down to San Diego to meet Desiree Hayes and had a photoshoot done by her. I can't wait to see the results. I've been wanting to go professional for quite some time and have definitely been inspired to follow my dreams. So here I am...continuing my journey.

I know it's been awhile since I posted. I've been concentrating more on my photography skills and pondering on starting a business surrounding this and scrapbooking. Just made this album about my Friend's visit to Hawaii. I had mentioned before that I had not seen her in 20 years. Catina, my friend, and I knew each other from Germany so it was such an experience to see her again after all these years. We just picked up where we left off. Here's my album that I uploaded on Shutterfly. By the way, this album is a surprise for her. :)* I wish I could see her expression when she first views it.

Sorry for the mishap folks, but I just felt I needed to change the name of my blog along with the header. I need to "evolve". LOL

Anyways, lot of changes happening. When I mentioned I wanted to evolve, I wanted to take my stab at designing. I'm always pushing myself to that "next level". It's really exciting to learn new things. So, stay tuned for more on that later. I'll need some time to metamorph..I know...that's not really a word..but you get what I'm saying.

I've got several people stating I should do use my scrapbooking skills as a business. I'm a little stuck because I don't know which direction I should be going. As Oprah would say, "I need to pray on this."

Anyways, enough jibber jabber.

I bought Lightroom recently and finally installed it. I have been in heaven since. It's been so much fun altering the photos with presets. Below are photos that have been altered using Christian Odell's lightroom presets.

In addition:

1. This was created using Tiffany Tillman's Scrappable Collection available at Little Dreamer Designs, Fei Fei's Stuff at Oscraps, Creashens Squeeze Kit and Pure Scrap Ostenentation Kit at Two Little Pixels. The presets in these photos made the colors pop!

2. This was created using Creashen's Squeeze and Sprung Kit at Two Little Pixels. I love this preset in this photo. It's one of my favorites because I love the way it makes it look aged..like it was taken in the 70s.

3. This was created using Pure Scrap Say It With Flowers Kit at Two Little Pixels and Paislee Press View Finder Overlays and Sociologie Kit. I loved the way the preset made the green popin the photo and just the artistic look to it.

4. This was created by using Creashens' Sprung Kit at Two Little Pixels, Paislee Press Viewfinder Overlays at Oscraps, Taylormade Designs Efforessence and collaboration word art with Vicki Stegall: This_____ , at Oscraps. I used the same preset as in No.2. I really loved this photo of my daughter and had to scrap it again. hahaha

YES....I've been very busy! But, have been having so much fun doing it! It's quite therapeutic in my crazy life. Anyways, if you haven't gotten Lightroom yet, go for it! It's the end of Gwen's Soccer Season and I decided to make a Photobook as a gift for Gwen's soccer coach. Because of the time sensitivity, I decided to used the "Work Hard" theme instead of creating from scratch. Shutterfly is very user friendly and I tend to enourage a lot of my co-workers and friends to give it a try. Here's how mine turned out. The girls were Oh So Cute!!!
