I just wanted to say thank you to The Polka Dot Closet @ http://thepolkadotcloset.blogspot.com/search/label/Fabric%20flower%20tutorial for this GREAT TUTORIAL on how to make fabric flowers. Hers are absolutely gorgeous! I have so enjoyed making these, I'm addicted to burning fabric. Here are a few that I have made so far.

Wishing Everyone A Happy Easter!!

Yard Work

2012-04-02T17:22:00.000-05:00

This week end I enjoyed having my grand daughter, she is such a blessing! I did manage to get a little bit of work done in the little pond. I started planting around it and mulched, I will surely need to get more plants to go around the little pond (aka frog pong). I also have a lot of cleaning out the little "pond"

Hope everyone has a great week.

2012-03-29T21:26:00.000-05:00

I made some little Easter baskets out of peat pots. I used Easter graphics from The Graphics Fairy @ http://www.graphicsfairy.blogspot.com/. She has the cutest and best graphics!

You blend in so well with my Rose bush.

Before and After Patio Furniture

2012-03-25T17:16:00.000-05:00

I was in desperate need of a Patio set, but did not have $350.00 dollars to pay for it. Sooo..., $60.00 and 10 cans of spray paint later, this is what you have. I still need to get cushions for them, but for the price, you just can't beat it!!

This is after..

and this is before.

This is a wire hanging basket that I had gotten last year..

and this is after, I spruced it up with spray paint, some new chain, and some pink petunias.

Look What I See

2012-03-21T00:00:00.000-05:00

Wisteria, I love the look of it and I love the smell!

So delicate and pretty.

This is coming out of an old hollowed out tree or something.

It is hanging every where in the trees on the property I live on, just beautiful!

Wishing everyone a great day!

Mini Greenhouse

2012-03-20T06:13:00.001-05:00

Here is my mini green house out made out of 16 ounce coke bottles, talk about recycling! I put my seeds on damp paper towels and put them in a ziploc bag, closed the bag two thirds of the way and sat in a sunny window for a week, you can see the little baby plants if you look hard enough, lol! We will see how these morning glories turn out.

I have been obsessed with concrete this week. I know it has been done before, but I have never used it. You can make stepping stones, signs, planters, all kinds of yard art. A sixty pound bag of concrete cost me $2.88, you can't beat that and look what all I have made out of 1 bag.

I just found plastic containers at the thrift store to use as molds.

Here is the round one, I think I will paint this one, it turned out so smooth.

This is the egg, the bunny I wish I had made.

This also turned out smooth.

These stepping stones I will take out of the molds tomorrow, I used cheap cake pans.

A little succulent lives is this planter.

This is made out of a jello mold.

I love the way the fish turned out, even though he lost his lower lip, I was impatient and took him out before time.

This mushroom I will paint after I tear the baby bottle away.

These projects are a little messy and the only time consuming part is the waiting 2 days to take the molds away, just do not be impatient like me. I think these are a cheap, decorative idea for the garden.

I will show you guys how they all turn out after I paint them. I am glad I have some patio paint left over!

Wishing everyone a great week end!

Busy with Grand baby

2012-03-13T06:59:00.001-05:00

Hello Friends, hope everyone had a great weekend. I was busy with my grand baby Anberlyn all weekend. I so enjoyed our visit. She's three months old now, my how time fly's.

We visited her Great Grams and Gramps and walked around outside and found some pretty flowers.

It looks like Spring has Sprung around here!

Now that Anberlyn has gone back home and I'm off for Spring Break, let's see how much I can get done around the house. It is going to be in the 80's all week! !

Wishing everyone a great week!

Before and After

2012-03-07T17:47:00.001-06:00

I picked this little planter up for a few dollars, thought it would make a cute addition to the yucky yard!

*Before* You can barely see it!

*After* I still need to a little touch up, I ran out of white paint.

Maybe I should have painted this pink.

I even did a little replanting, not sure what type of flower these are, I just got them out of the yard.

They were both purple, so I planted them together.

I also purchased some seed packs, think I'll try my hand at germinating and see how that turns out.

The Ugly Truth

2012-03-05T17:19:00.000-06:00

OMG!! This is horrible! But it is for real my friends. I have really, really neglected my yard all winter. It's not a very big back yard, lots of pasture though. You would think that I could keep it up, the Ugly Truth is that I haven't. I haven't even sat back there since the fall and it turned a little cold. I'm not a winter person at all. I am a summer girl, I love warm weather. It really does not get that cold where I live. My poor back yard. I need to give it the attention it deserves.

I placed my beautiful climbing rose by the fence, the donkey must have love it, yup, thorns and all, this is all that I have left of it! Bad Donkey!!

Oh well, I have a lot of work cut out for me, but I am showing you the ugly truth of my life!!

Wishing everyone a wonderful week!

Love these small spools, they look like wooden bobbins, not sure what they are...they are just cute to me.

Maybe I'll make some dolls with these spools.

I think it turned out great for his first project.

Wishing everyone a Happy Week-end!

* Thrift Store Vintage Tablecloths *

2012-02-01T17:32:00.000-06:00

I went into my small, local thrift store today and I found these tablecloths for $1.00 each, and when I checked out they were having a half price sell, only 50 cents each. What a great deal, or would that be a steal?

Red Roses is my favorite one.

I'm not real sure if this is vintage, but I like the color and

the lace details on the napkins.

Love the butterflies.

This one is bright and cheerful!

Have a great day!!

Congratulations to my handsome son.

Look at that Bling...

all of that Cream...

all of that Pink...

and look at that Heart!!

I had to go to Wal Mart for work today, stopped in at a large thrift store and did not see much. Disappointment set in. After work, stopped by my faithful, tiny thrift store (in town where I live) and look at all of the goodies I found!! Very Happy!
