Merry X'mas~! I believe everyone had a great and wonderful Christmas! =) Although this was my first time celebrated Christmas at Kluang after so many years, I'm grateful that I had my lovely colleagues and students companion. This means a lot to me ^^

Salmon is well known at Ritch Cafe but according to my friend, he claimed that salmon on that day was not so nice as usual maybe because of the rush and peak hour on Christmas Day.

Garlic Bread for Beef Stew

The Beef Stew is delicious~!! I love this! The meat is really soft, and with the companion of red wine sauce is so wonderful and sumptuous. Yummy! However, if they could provide more garlic bread would be perfect as there was only two slices of garlic bread for one set of Beef Stew.

The steak is a cool stuff too. Who doesn't like Tenderloin Steak? ^^

BBQ Chicken@RM22.90

The BBQ Chicken was not bad but it was a bit hard to eat cuz the bone was not removed.

Overall, we did enjoy our dinner but some complained that the food was not that delicious as usual and the food was not hot when it was served. We believed that it is all because they need to rush for too many Christmas Set and that's why the quality of the food on that day is actually dropped.

First of all, sorry for not updating my blog for so long~ As I'm no longer stay at KL, I'm gonna introduce some nice food at my hometown -- Kluang. =) Ritch Cafe is one of the popular restaurant, serving Authentic Western Cuisine.

As you can see, the restaurant does not use Pork or Lard in its dishes. So, this is a Halal restaurant. =)

The meat is really soft and juicy. It tastes good with the black pepper sauce but it will be better if it was served with some fries as the salad dressing not really tastes well.

Spicy (Shredded) Garlic Chicken Pasta@RM16.90

If you are my loyal blog reader, you will know that I'm not a cheese lover but spicy lover! Haha... So, everytime I choose pasta sure will not choose creamy & cheesy but SPICY! LOL^^ I personally like this pasta, it tastes good with the spices along. The portion is quite big and I couldn't finish it by myself~!

Overall, the food is delicious with affordable price. Nice atmosphere which suitable for couple, friends or even family gathering. =) Do remember to drop by Ritch Cafe the next time you are in Kluang, I think it won't disappoint you. ^^

Located at the place full of restaurant and cafe- Jaya One, Frontera Sol of Mexico(formerly known as Frontera Bar & Grill) has its own specialty which serves authentic Mexican & Tex-Mex cuisine. I went there with my students one day after the dance class.

-Southern-fried Dory fish dusted with corn meal and served with jalapeno remoulade,

Chicka Boom Boom is the specialty of Frontera, many people claim that this is the best! =)

-Frontera chicken, refried beans, and Frontera fire sauce wrapped in a flour tortilla,

The burrito is just nice with thin flour wrapper and tasty chicken.

Have you ever tried Kindori Ice-cream? If no, you are kind of outdated! There are few outlets now located at Sunway Pyramid, Berjaya Times Square, Pavilion and the newest Jusco One Utama! What makes Kindori so special is the ice-cream is made of 100% fresh milk and 100% fresh fruit. It is all about NATURAL and made on the spot!

100% Frozen Fresh Fruits

The first step of making Kindori Ice-cream is to choose your favourite fruits and they will add in the 100% fresh milk ice cream base. The selected fruits and ice-cream will be put into the mixer and a natural Kindori Ice-cream us ready to be served! =) I have tried two flavors, which is Black Sesame and Matcha(green tea). Ice-cream comes in a cup cost RM8.90 while it costs RM9.90 in cone.

The black sesame is flown in from Japan for Kindori use only. It is definitely a not to be missed flavour! Thumbs up!

Suchan, is famous for its cake and dessert. Thank to my ex-boss, I got the chance to try out this restaurant as my farewell party. We went for its newly open branch at The Curve where the location is a bit not strategic as it is situated at the Link Bridge between The Curve and e-Curve, quite hard for people to find it.

We started our meals with Top Hats (Pie Tee) and Fish Cake.

Normally, my food blog always talk about KL or PJ food, now let me introduce one of my favourite dessert and snack place at my hometown, Kluang. =) The name of this place is quite interesting, I believe kids will like it - Uncle Frog小青蛙甜品小吃馆.

My sister and I just went there for some dessert, so we didn't order much food. My sister opted for the signature Uncle Frog Ice Kacang. She said she like ice kacang here most because they only put gula melaka instead of other colouring.

Garden Lifestyle Store & Cafe@One Utama

I believe that most of the people notice the beautiful restaurant at One Utama with garden theme. This Garden Lifestyle Store & Cafe has been operated for few years and now even got few outlets at The Curve, Sunway Pyramid and Mid Valley. Many people including me are attracted by its beautiful setting and vibrant atmosphere.

We are welcomed by a big classic piano and flowers. From its website, at centre stage a grand piano is providing the melodic charms~ =)

Surrounded by flowers, you will really think that you are in a garden rather than a restaurant. =) And I do like the decoration. We settled our order with the Weekday Lunch Specials. Sorry for the late update as the lunch set was only valid until 31 May 2011. However, they always promote lunch set, just the main course will be changed after few months.

Two lunch sets are selected, which are Chicken Teriyaki and Spaghetti Marinara, both come with Iced Lemon Tea with the price of RM15.90.

I love this Chicken Teriyaki TOO MUCH~!! It is served with French beans and mashed potatoes with delicious Teriyaki sauce. Thumb up!!

Spaghetti Marinara

The Spaghetti Marinara is served with prawns, clams, half shell mussels in a tomato & basil sauce with cheese powder on top.

Iced Lemon Tea

Overall, the food there is satisfying and price is affordable. No harm to give it a try, you can enjoy the chilling atmosphere with a cup tea in the break time. =)

Located at Damansara Perdana, the former 'Friendster Cafe' is now known as Friendscino which the name comes from Friends and Cino - Culture Is Not Optional.

I have been there for two times, one for food and one for beers. Both visits I also chose for outdoor seat because the music inside is too loud for me.

I had my favourite pasta Aglio Olio with seafood pesto. Surprisingly, the aglio olio did not look like the normal one that I usually eat. The green Aglio Olio looked weird but tasted good! There are lots of mussels, prawns and scallops with olive oil. Thumbs up!

Finish my first time visit, now is the second visit review. I am a member of 'Everyday Coupon', I came across that there was a offer selling RM65 for for any 4 pints of Hoegaarden/Erdinger/Stella at Friendscino. Without much hesitation, I bought the coupon because that was a cheap deal!

Wantan Me is a very common food that you can find easily at any place. What makes this 师傅云吞面 Shi Fu Wantan Mee Restaurant at Taman Segar, Cheras so special? I think first and foremost, is their traditional Chinese decoration with red lanterns. Besides, the wooden tables and chairs bring out the Chinese culture too.

Apart from the nice decoration, we sure need to talk about the food. What really impress me much before I go in the restaurant is the signboard written '天下第一辣' meaning The World Spiciest! As a spicy lover, I was eager to find out is that true??

The appearance has no difference with any other pan mee, it also was served with minced pork, fried anchovies and egg but you will find lots of CHILI under the pan mee when you stir it.

No kidding, it is really super spicy!!! You can hardly feel your tongue because it turned numb. =.= The whole pan mee is all about SPICY and no more.

As for my friend, he opted for Curry Mee. I like the curry fragrance when it served. =)

The curry mee is a not bad option. The mee is wantan mee, served with chicken, 'tau fu po', bean sprout and dumplings.

We also ordered some dumplings. It tasted good but the soup is a bit oily.

Food Foundry, situated at Happy Mansion, Section 17 PJ, is well known for its Mille Crepe Cakes. Finally, we made a lunch trip there one day. =)

I was happy with my pasta - Vongole, which was full of clams. The spices on top made the pasta looked nice and taste good.

Besides, Food Foundry also provides set lunch of the day, which include a piece of cake and it costs RM22.00. Set lunch for the day was something like 'Hailam Mee', a not bad option too. =)

Kimuchi Unagi Omelette, another interesting dish that we would like to try as it is a combination of Korean and Japanese food. (As you can see from the name, Kimchi & Unagi ^^) The combination of Japanese sweet sauce and Kimchi in the rice is really tasty.

Jaya One post again~! I've always been told that Duck King serves good quality and tasty food. We found out that it actually got set lunch and yea we sure went and tried =)

Basically, there are only two sets lunch available - Emperor Chicken Drumstick Rice and Szechuan "Dan Dan" Noodles. Both sets cost RM12.80++, included dessert or drinks.

Seriously, the duck and chicken meat are really awesome! You can't miss the egg too. The combination of the set lunch is just NICE!

If you always been in Jaya One, then you should know this modern Japanese casual dining place – Marufuku Udon~! They claimed themselves the first and only fresh udon concept in Malaysia. The udon is handmade and delivered to the outlet daily.

This is a self-service place that you need to order yourself like some other fast food outlets. It offers a variety of udon either cold or hot and the cheapest udon is RM6.00.

I like the Nabeyaki Udon which is served in fish-based broth, hot in claypot and topped with tempura ebi, fish cake, fried tofu, shiitake mushroom, egg & chopped spring onion.

The Curry Udon that I ordered was not that satisfying. It is just chicken curry udon topped with chopped spring onion. It was not hot enough and I just could feel a bit of curry taste.

This was my 1st time trying ‘Yut Kwong Ho’ (月光河) and it tasted good! This ‘Yut Kwong Ho’ is actually Hokkien Char Kuay Teow instead of Hokkien Mee. It is cooked by traditional charcoal fire and served with lots of ‘wok hei’.

I like the sticky Hokkian Char Kuay Teow with a raw egg on top~! The crunchy pork lard satisfied me too ^^

Besides, we also ordered Lala in soup~ A bit spicy but it was yummy =)

One of the reason I like Italiannies besides of their classic design, is this free bread, LOL… The bread is really soft and nice. =) Yum Yum

I know it’s a bit weird that I love the food at Italiannies but I don’t eat cheese. LOL~ I love their course meal set that only cost RM27.90++ with 1 appetizer and 1 main course. There were 3 of us but we only ordered 2 sets because we knew the portion is kinda big!

1st appetizer : Toasted Bruschetta

-Homemade Tuscan bread topped with marinated tomatoes, pesto sauce, and parmesan cheese

I specially ask them not to put the cheese on top because I won’t eat. LOL~ I tried to eat this before with cheese on top before but I really can’t put into my mouth so this time no more cheese on top. >.<

2nd appetizer : Clear Broth with Pasta Soup
-Homemade chicken soup with pasta

1st main course : Pan Fried Fish with Butter and Capers
-Pan fried dory fish, served with chef’s vegetables and topped with capers sauce.

2nd main course : Ham & Mushroom Pizza
-Served with tomato, mozzarella cheese, turkey ham and mixed mushroom

I love this drink so much! You really can feel the grape in the drink, no kidding XD

Overall, I really enjoyed the lunch so much. The food is nice and tasty, ambience is good and the services are satisfying. =)

Happy Chinese New Year~!!!!! Time flies…so fast one year pass again, this is my 2nd year having CNY dinner with my boss & colleague and we chose to go back to Lala Chong Seafood. =)

Same as last year, Lala Chong is always full of people, reservation is recommended to get a good table in air-cond room.

‘Yee Shang’ is a must for most of the Chinese people during CNY, the higher you ‘lou’, the higher you get ‘HUAT’! ^^

I went to Singapore for shopping last few week and my 1st stop was at 313 Somerset. Not really went and found good food because the main purpose was to shop, LOL. However, I found that this Ramen Play is quite a nice place.

I am so eager to crave for pork burger cuz it’s actually quite hard to find it in Malaysia. However, the problem is solved now cuz Ninja Joe is having more and more branches nowadays! =)

This is my 2nd post regarding pork burger~ 1st post was the review of Cristang. ^^

The Ninja Joe that I visited is at Tropicana City Mall. There are 6 different flavors of burger sold- Original, Teriyaki, Black Pepper, Oriental, Sweet & Sour and Spicy.

The quality of Ninja Joe

I ordered one Teriyaki pork burger@RM5.50 and one lemonade@RM2.50. After buying I only realized that if I add fries + lemonade/green tea, I only need to pay extra RM3.50, means I just needed to top up RM1.00 to have the fries. Aikss…I missed it =(

Wan tan mee is sold almost at every hawker stall center but you certainly cannot miss this Sungai Besi Wan Tan Mee(全蛋面)! Super thanks to my friend who brought me to this famous and popular stall which only operates from late evening until midnight.

There are lots of varieties to choose from like Char Siew, Wan Tan, Sui Kow, Wild Boar Curry, Sweet and Sour Pig Leg etc. I found it quite special but I still stick to the original Char Siew Wan Tan Mee =)
