I am in a show that is happening tomorrow night. It's called Moving Hands and there will be art by Andrea Innocent, Cat Rabbit, Darin Bendall and myself, along with music by The Icypoles, Ida Morris, Moon Dice and Yuko Kono.
It's at the Gasometer Hotel - Gas Gallery (484 Smith Street, Collingwood) from 6pm - 11.30pm so if you're in the area please come and say hello!
Hello Monday! I hope you have had a nice weekend, I've been making and eating pickles! I even grew the cucumbers that made the pickles... and the tomatoes that kept them company in the sandwich.
Quite exciting really... growing vegetables.

This is great, I love the illustrations of Sophie Blackall.
What is interesting to me is that she seems to paint the entire piece in shades of grey then add a colour glaze over the top. I think this technique is called Grisaille? (It looks like it might be fun to experiment with.)

Summer has been nice this year. New books, sunshine, craft magazines, tomatoes, the beach, a tiny rabbit, even some knitting...
Hello dear blog and anyone out there who might be reading my very irregular posts, so far I have not had much to say here this year. I have just finished a job that has kept me busy for months and I'm cleaning up my head space and starting to get excited for new and fun things to do in 2012. For the moment I'm going to post some blissfully excessive candy wonderland pictures by Australian artists Pip and Pop.

We got half way through our great road trip and decided to stop moving. Living out of a van was fun and it definitely has its moments but we gradually got sick of endless driving and over crowded seaside caravan parks. So we made it to Sydney, said hello to Mum and Dad and Grandma, then turned back down the coast.
We found somewhere with a lovely beach and a beautiful lake, and booked ourselves into a tiny little house to sit and gaze at the view. Now it feels like a holiday. We are doing nothing.
I love doing nothing every now and again.

We are driving up the east coast of Australia and this is our little house for the next couple of weeks. I have no idea where we will get too... just beach hopping, following the sun.
