I love food! I love anything to do with food. Food games, food movies, and recently I discovered a Korean drama called Pasta!! I knew I had to watch it!! It was so cute. As all Korean dramas go, there's a love triangle and I'm pretty sure someone always has cancer. This one wasn't sad though, it was very sweet and lots of footage of chefs preparing pasta (bonus for me!!). I'm telling you

I recently discovered this blog called Oui Chef and ever since then, I have been drooling over his post every week. A month ago, he made a Raspberry Cheesecake that was from Ina Garten. I knew those two combinations could not steer me wrong.

I decided to make this cheesecake for my dad's birthday. It was a great success!

I did make a few changes to the recipe. I halved the recipe to

Happy New Year everyone!! I can't believe I haven't posted anything since October 2011!!! I'm so sorry for the delay and I just want to thank you for your continual support of My Food Affair. Any chance you can

When he comes on tv, I change the channel. He just annoys me. One day though, I did watch an episode of Throwdown with

I've made these babies twice already and each time, it was for company and I didn't get a chance to take a picture before serving them to my guests. I did take a picture before they were baked this time, but they were gobbled up before the a picture was taken. I wanted to make it again and take a picture, but I couldn't wait any longer to share the recipe, so please bear with me! I will

My first time to San Francisco, I went to this restaurant called Helmand. It was my first time eating Afghani food and it was very exciting. I remembered having this pumpkin dish that was so good. The textures and flavors were so beautiful and wonderful that it still brings back memories.

A few days ago, I stumbled upon a recipe for this wonderful pumpkin at Chowhound.I knew I had to try

I see my friends and their daughters and I wonder how these little girls are able to get whatever they want from their daddies. I guess I

As we were looking at the dessert menu, Mr. G mentioned that it would be nice to have some baklava ice cream. Sadly,

These morning buns come from Cook's Country magazine. Lately I have been edging towards Cook's country instead of Cook's illustrated magazine. I still love CI, but each recipe takes soooo

During the month when I went on a baking hiatus, my Kitchen-aid mixer attempted suicide. I lent my mixer to someone and when I brought it home, I rested it on a table to press the button for my elevator. My mixer fell off the table onto the floor and my heart sank. I was so shocked that I couldn't even think straight. I picked her up and as I accessed her damages I was literally holding back

As you probably can see from previous posts, I'm a huge fan of Passion fruit (Lilikoi for the Kamaainas). I love when it's passion fruit season. I tried to get a lot and just freeze the pulp so I can have it year round. I love the tartness of passion fruits and they're great for a light dessert without having always to resort to citruses. I've made this passion fruit ice cream a few times

How cute is that?
