I’ve blogged about my battle with my hair before. It’s naturally kinky curly, super thick (so thick it cramps the hair stylists hands every time she cuts it) and it’s uber coarse like straw! These are not ideal hair conditions and has made finding a style that’s easy to maintain, executed quickly and inexpensive to do nearly impossible.

I’ve gone through several styles as I’ve shown you before (see image below) but if you follow me or the blog on Facebook then you already know I tried something new. Well, maybe not new to the hair industry but it was new to me!

How to rag roll hair

1. I have to start most of my hair styling fresh from the shower with wet hair. This is the curse of coarse curly hair but damp hair is probably ideal for most people’s hair texture. 
2. I sectioned it off into about a dozen sections. Nothing too big or small mind you, I want the hair to dry but I don’t want too many rolls on my head. 
3. Then I wrapped the hair around the rag and rolled it upward and gently tied it off. The denim material is stout enough I didn’t have to knot it or worry about it coming undone but I probably could have gone with much shorter strips of denim rags. 
4. I let it dry naturally, unrolled the hair and this is what happened.

My hair normally goes to the middle of my back is now in a cute super curly bob-ish look that took 15 minutes to roll, dried overnight & took 5 minutes to unroll and “fluff” a bit.

Don’t have any “rag rollers”? Then make ‘em. It’s super easy! Just grab an old pair of jeans or clothes the kids have outgrown and cut into 2 inch strips, section hair and wrap! It’s THAT easy!

In the case of the Amaretto, I like to sip it, sip being the keyword, on the rocks but sometimes I like to cook with it too.

Here are some other flavorful winter cocktails recipes you might like:

Chocolate Snowball

Ingredients:

• 2 oz coconut rum
• 2 oz Irish cream
• 1 oz hazelnut liqueur
• 3 1/2 oz melted chocolate
• 3 1/2 oz cream
• 1 dash chocolate syrup

Preparation: Place the chocolate syrup around the glass then place the other ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake. Strain into glass.

Spring Fever

Ingredients:

• 3/4 oz lemon juice
• 3/4 oz mango syrup
• 1 1/2 oz pineapple juice
• 2 oz blood orange juice

Preparation: Shake well over ice cubes in a shaker, and strain into a collins glass half-filled with crushed ice.

Winter Breeze

Ingredients:

• 1 oz creme de cacao
• 1 oz vanilla schnapps
• 1 oz Irish cream
• milk

Preparation: Pour liquors into a beer mug, and fill with milk. Stir, and serve.

I remember when Sahara was released he traveled across country in one of his Airstream’s skinned in a Sahara movie image. He stopped at truck stops and rest areas along the way like a “normal” person all while promoting the movie, attending premiers and doing media interviews. He came right through my hometown when I was living there and I REALLY hoped he would have stopped but no luck.

And yes, I was fully prepared to chase down his little Airstream just to catch a glimpse!

I just don’t know if I could live in this tiny box, especially with a kid and spouse but it makes for a nice man-cave doesn’t it?
