Kitty is my very 1^st cat I ever house sit in MyFurryPlace commercially.

She is very timid at the very beginning but since she is going back and fort the house she is been at home she is very comfortable at MyFurryPlace. She is very easy cat, love affection and attention.

She has special cat fur rate in our house and I don’t want that my other customers got jealous I’m not supposed to say it but she is my ULTIMATE favorite cat fur guest in MyFurryPlace.

I enjoyed her little kisses with little bite.

Her wide shut huge eyes I never seen cats that have eyes like a flashlight! Bright as yellow bright.

Kitty is very friendly with other cats, she got along with them even some of my cats are so snub and jealous about her.

I have same color of cats in the house her name is Sampa and Twister ( aka little sampa) I guess they don’t like kitty much they have similar fur color and maybe thinking why furry Mum always cuddle this guest cat but Kitty like them.

In MyFurryPlace when ever I get a new cat for house sit.

I treat them like my own and if there’s a cat that a little bit timid and shy my entire furry house members will make an efforts that they feel at home in the house.

It’s not easy but we really try our best to give them the best care we can.

It’s not just like because we get paid to keep and look after them while their parents are away.

We pride ourselves in MyFurryPlace that in this little city in Phnom penh. We do quality work looking after each of our customers.

Each of them have unique and special requirements.

We value them like our own cats in the house.

Kitty’s favorite thing to do is checking the green garden while I sat there in the chair and watch her check all the grass in the ground.

She likes to sit in the window and listen to those chirping birds invaded the mango fruits and other edible fruits in the garden.

She also likes to sleep inside the closet and sometimes just lay down next to me.

Recently, she likes to sat down next to my computer desk.

I guess the tapping of the keyboard excites and make her curious.

Kitty's eat so tiny but she is very healthy and lovely fur coat she is adorable cat.

I can say this because I think she likes me and comfortable with me. Kitty will always have a special spot in my heart.

Cats chase by the german Shepherd

What would you do if early morning instead of relaxing having a cup of coffee over a nice and relaxing breakfast at Sunday morning and in the middle of it you need to run as one of our cats was been chase by the dogs and we have to rescue her as she decided to climb 8 meters high at the branch of the mango tree.

Syrel has to rescue her.

Our staff thinks were crazy people as in this country who cares if your cats are being chase or wonder around they don’t really pay much attention about these.

Even they are so afraid of the cats.! I could never understand.

This is our little Sampa , her favorite thing to do is being chase by the dogs.

She likes to roam around in the garden and east some herbs and grass available in the garden. Unfortunately as we are hosting large dogs theres also a tendency that they are being

Chase by the dogs. We are always very careful about them getting out while the large dogs are running around free in the ground were as always said curiosity kills the cat.

Wood Apple fruits harvest with the furr

In Cambodia Wood apple fruit is very common its exotic tropics fruits that it’s
very common in south East Asia.

I remember when I was 10 years old we normally make these fruits like salad appetizer with very fresh shrimp and grilled fish . It taste good when they are newly harvest from the tree and the fish pond.

Its sour when they are not yet ripe but when they’re really ripe then it’s very sweet.
Its loaded with vitamin C.

Today in our furry place we have the harvest and we said let’s make a little money out of it to buy ice cream.

Syrel have harvest together with the fur who curiously check the fruits.

In our furry place we always make sure that whatever little things and activities we do outside and we can get the furr to participate and they actually enjoyed. It stimulates them as well and they have the chance to get bond to each other. Since we have two groups in the house 6 of them sleeps with us downstairs’ while the 3 is upstairs.

Some of them they roll them in the ground like the small ball other they taste and chew the leaves.

It’s a little activity we have enjoyed and have fun together with the furr.

Little activity which our pack of furr enjoyed so the same with us .
Its not every day we get to harvest such exotic tropics fruits.
Its fun for the fur to share the early morning activity.

I ask Syrel deliver to our friends restaurant so we can buy some ice cream to share later on.
Gizmo enjoyed this short ride with Syrel he really think Syrel will bring him to the shop.

Holicats and holidogs ! at the King's and my birthday.

Just yesterday the normal working days in Cambodia is back ! Were else you want to be ?
In the country were we have 24 days national holidays in a year ! Is it a good thing or a bad thing ?

Well, in my furry place is was good thing !
These are the days that my furryplace are fully booked up with holicats and holidogs .
While their parents are going for their holiday some of them going to the beach some of them going back to their own countries while some of them are exploring the famous temple of Angkor wat !
so for what reason for holidays so does their cats and dogs enjoying the holicats and holidogs.

They all goes to furryplace to have holidays as well.

This is the time were I always celebrated my b-day with the “King “” hmmm oh yes !
what a great country !

The king and me is sharing a b-day.
For the Cambodian King his b-day is celebrated for 3 days , This 3 days were my cats and dogs are hiding truly disturb because of the fire works. Some of the cats goes and hide in armoire while the rest is under the bed.
As always my dearest husband was so busy at work so decided to skip our japanese lunch buffet with my nieces of course still at his expenses.! hahaha...
This year a simple b-day celebration.

But some good friends give a b-day cake 3 weeks in advance thanks to mumsified. for the very nice blueberry cheese cakes. You see Rainbow is excited . Thanks a lot Jo.

Which I shared to my furr and the rest of my staff in the house.I think we have enjoyed the cake for 3 days since its humongous big.

And another friends who gave me 2 other cakes thanks a lot Ms. Mechie and Ate Edith.
All we truly enjoyed and all are special.

As always my dearest husband was so busy at work so decided to skip our Japanese buffet with my nieces of course still at his expenses.!
Instead at least he gave me red roses , he knows I am not really a red roses lady'. I'm always white rose but he always think white roses are for dead people but I always think that its the thoughts that counts my husband is always thoughtful and hopeless romantic as ever. So I settled for what he gave me.
I'm thankful for what he always gave me. Thank you my sweetheart !

Thanks to the glorious 46 years old and hope to get more healthy and furry life ahead of me.

Gardening with Rocky and Sheba

The sanctuary of my fur where they likes to play and got to choose which grass appeals to their appetite.
They can run and roll to their content until their hearts out !!!

Saturday we take a short ride to our regular Vietnamese garden were they sell some of our favorite spring flowers.
Well we actually went there to buy some of the natural fertilizer to the nearby chicken poultry.

They sell chicken manure for US$1.25 per sacks in 15 kilos.

Its great bargain and its really good for the plants. It’s been filing up what to clean up and what to re-plant in my furry place. The sanctuary where our fur spend time when their out exploring the birdies and frogs.
We also get 1 lemon lime which we use for juice or dipping.
In the Philippines “kalamansi is a must in every Filipino kitchen.

We already have 3 plants in the pot but this one I put in the ground. They look as nice as they already have fruits enough to use for the next barbeque.

Sheba and Rocky is actually a nice companion in gardening especially rocky he even said to me.

Hey! Foster mum let me help you? I’m good at this, so this is Rocky was good about. ?
You see how he helps me? Hmmm you foster mum I told you I can help!

First when the water melon seller pass by I walk out of the gate and buy a couple thinking this will be good after my gardening! Sure enough you see juicy and red and sweet/ exactly what I need after my hot sunny gardening.

To my surprised when I left my dirty gloves in the ground, it was missing and I know who steal it, it was of course the naughty Rocky. He likes to play with soft fabrics.
Even the santol sour fruit in the ground he find amusing to play like a small ball.

I said to him yeah right?? He likes to lay down in the dirt cold to keep his skin cool.
That’s the idea I guess but …he is really staying with me for the rest of my gardening the whole morning. While Sheba just pass by here and there … Whoa….

Foster Mum I got enough it’s too hot for me being here. I want to go inside now. See you Rocky later !

Rocky is fine with that he grown up in the beach side he likes the heat!

So Sheba went back inside after smelling those new pots of flowers that I need to re-pot again.

But Rocky stayed and hang on just sitting there enjoyed watching me helping a little bit.

What I notice with all these fur when you includes them to your daily activity they as well enjoyed it and it’s like more of our bonding time.

That’s why I told my friends there’s no such boring time with the fur in my furry place.

Long staying guest

Were blessed that people trust us with their pets while they are away. They are growing with us like a part of our family they get same food same treats attention and affection like our own.

I’m very happy that I have team that love furry animals and I am so thankful to all of them that that they contribute to the happy and enjoyable stay of the fur.

It is very important that when hiring the staff one of the requirements must be they love animals .

They have respect and passion with the animals.

Of course at the very beginning each of them we have to educate how they associate themselves with each new dog we have in the house.

We as a team in furry place we take our job seriously in keeping them safe each fur we house sit.

Make sure they have better life with us happy healthy and both the fur and parents when they again reunited to each other after their holidays they are happy when they walk out from our premises.

This is the best feeling we have a satisfaction when we see the fur we house sit and their parents

Borin is

our gardener he love big dogs specially the German shepherd Lina and George will stay with us for 1-1.2 months as their mum is giving birth in Bangkok.

Both Lina and George are very special and intelligent fur. They love to play ball and coco with hush and skin on it. After they break the coco then they will eat. It’s a good treat!

Another long staying guest is Sheba she stays with us from March until July 2013 she is growing with us

I must say she is the best fur that we ever house sit she is very well behave dog very sweet and never give us any trouble. She is very sweet fur but well trained fur.

Also her parents are going back to America giving birth.

So I guess this year is good luck for us in the furry place as both parents are giving birth to their own country.

Rocky is also another long staying guest he will stay with us until July.

He’s parents went back to Singapore and while their waiting for Rocky’s medical test and importation papers to bring him to Singapore Rocky will stay with us first. He is happy fur and full of energy.

He is sweet but as well need a little but more taming , but all are easy with Rocky just he needs more special care and attention other than that he gets along with Sheba very well.

He is the furs that don’t want to be alone. He needs to have companion always. So when I do my gardening or anything what I do inside my house .I tag him along all he needs is a companion.

When I arrive home from outside he thinks that I am his parents.

One time we have video conference with his parents and he is so happy but a little bit disturb after the video conference as he was going back and forth to the gate and looking is there’s someone there.

His parents. He responds well with the whistle of his dad!

With the entire long staying guest we learn to adopt their unique character and they are all growing with us in our house like parts of our own family.

Rocky reminds me of our dogs back in the Philippines same character with him.

When my dog were small I normally put her in my back back, and she hates the wet market.

I miss her a lot and I named her after Angelina’s jollies adopted son Maddox.

I truly understand how the animals feel when their parents are away; sometimes I put myself to them.

I could not imagine my own dogs will be away from me and my husband.

This is probably an emotional challenge to both of us. Our dogs and cats are our children.

That’s why I make it to the point that each of the fur we house sit.

They enjoy our place our company and we look after them like our own.

Perhaps they will pick up some habits from us, but we take our work and responsibilities to each of them very seriously.

Kumo The Queen

This is Kumo my very special guest cat I house sit over Khmer New year.

I called her little Queen! Well she is. She stayed the entire stay in my room with the air-conditioning on.

Kumo is brought by her parents from the US to Cambodia and she has really thick fur!

Her mother told me that I should brush her every single day, which was a bit challenge for me as Kumo herself is not so trustful with others except with her Mum. So one morning I told her please let me brush you’re hair and let’s get on with our daily task. She answered in her little meow!

She listen eventually , she let me brush her hair but in her own term only just the top not my feet not my belly just top from neck to back don’t even dare to touch my swan ! Hahaha there’s a warning!

She is sweet but of course for someone like me that Im new to her would not trust me right away.

So she stayed in my room for the whole week she is with me. The aircon on and I even fixed her this small table so she can watch the birdies outside. She is pleased!

I teased her Mum whoa! you brought the entire accessories for Kumo her bed he scratch post her toys , her bowls and her fleece fabric were she normally massage her paws !

End of the week we got a little bit close and you never knows when she comes back again for another stay in myfurryplace.

Little tweet tweet

With all the green fruit trees in our furryplace sometimes the birdies chicks are falling off from their mother’s hand and their nest and we have to rescue them from our cats and dogs by that time they are playing exactly in the ground. It’s common that we have to rescue the birdies in the mouth or in their paws.

No! They don’t kill them! they just want to play with them and they are having a hurt attacked in one occasion , but several times our rescued are successful if they have wounds then we put them first in the cage and sit free when their already healed.

This is the latest just yesterday! I hope her mum came back to rescue this poor little tweet!

My niece Syrel have return to Santol tree with the huge plant hanged in the branch. My niece said her mother probably train her how to fly she is not fully feathered yet so its really little young tweet.

We check this morning and this little tweet is not there anymore so the mum must have been rescued it

2 days ago this one is caught banging her head in our kitchen glass window! She has wound but I guess she will heal herself so we sit her free already! Were glad the birdie survived !

Oh dear! All of us in this world would like to be FREE so does all these fur.

Lets help them enjoy the nature !

Friday and the water bowl

Our new rescued cat Friday is nearly five months and she starts to explore things around her.
She wants to sleep in my purse , in the sink and sometimes inside my cupboard.

The recent activity she like to do and explore is this bowl of water.

That includes the taste of the water in a bowl with the papers she plays and eventually put them to the bowl.

I don’t know what is all about?? I have no idea what she is trying to do. After she played with all my scratch paper she will then drag those papers in the bowl and drink within.

She is really strange but sweet cat.

We all love her.

Recycling that works for the Fur

What do you do with all the rubbish plastic container and old hamper that other people think is just useless??

Well, in my house nothing is useless and to be thrown away. I make use of anything that I can think still be useful either inside my house or outside.

My Furry Place are not only pets for dogs or cats, I have guinea pig, rabbit and chickens they are part of our fur family. Anything that is useful for them I saved.

My old wicker laundry hamper that now are missing one handle my hens have make use of it.

The plastic containers that its nearly crappy and it looks like my staff would sell to the garbage boy,

No! Not yet I told them ! I want them all for my chicken nest they are still useful.

The grass cuttings after our mover wanted to dump or burned it !! Oh no there are too precious and it’s so natural the chickens love them as it’s soft and comfy to lay eggs and my guinea pigs to play and even eat the dry leaves.

Many parts of Asia that includes the Philippines and Cambodia rubbish are everywhere and its part of the human life, for some that does not care about how to care for the green environment.

It’s really ashamed why others doesn’t think about the future generations, how I wish they will learn to save and protect the mother nature for the sake of the earth and the future generations.

How Climate Change destroying the earth ?

Recycling is very important and how I wish each of us would takes our share and educate our children and people around us.

With so many garbage in Phnom Penh it makes me worry , the city is growing so fast and its ashamed that one day it will be labeled as many rubbish I want to help by making my share in recycling .

Easter Egg Hunt with the Fur

Happy Easter !!!

Lenten season in Cambodia is not celebrated nor observe.

We don’t even get holiday here during Holy Thursday or Good Friday. You don’t get the feeling of being in the holy season I guess with left and right of my house early morning you have the mosque praying Sholat at 5 am while from the other side the Monk is chanting !
No I don’t complain I think were lucky to have both.

But few of the 5 star hotels and other establishment make a big preparation for Easter celebration and this is the feast of eating brunch with Easter egg hunting which is so famous for the kids specially kids from expats communities and some other kids from Christian faith.

Wow are they really eggs Mum ?

So Since I have no human kids and all we have are my fur kids and I don’t want to slipped these holiday without them experiencing what is the feeling to be in egg hunting so I reach of my whatever color available I have in my shelves and color some eggs.

Even the food coloring we used for salted eggs in the Philippines which I have ample of stocks in my keeping.

I should be creative and how to get my furry kids excited and have fun.

It turns up our babies and our long staying guests Sheba have fun searching the colorful eggs.

A lot of barking when actually they found some of the eggs. !! Funny how other jumping and really so serious that they wanted to eat the eggs, not to mentioned some of them love cooked eggs.

But we have to stop them from doing that. After all that running in the hot humid weather they are all exhausted drink loads of water and the dinner plate was super empty!!! They all get hungry probably disappointed they don’t get to eat the eggs they found.

We have fun looking and watching them, so I decided next year I would love to do it again and
I want to prepare better. I could not put my bunny in the garden as they will chase them by 2 bunnies are a little bit frightened in such open space with all the 9 active fur plus our guess Ms. Sheba.

2-1/2 months male kitten name SIMBAD looking for new home

Simbad is 2-1/2 months old I he is 2 weeks old a product of pagoda’s rescue together with CAPA.capa.asso

He is weak and has diarrhea issues when I got him but it’s only diet problem and with proper diet he is in good health again after 2 weeks I got him. Now he is a bit older and it time for him to find a new home and every time we say this , he is very smart to understand he then climb on my legs and look at me in my eyes maybe saying can I stay here?? I really like it here.

My husband likes him and I said we can’t have so many, and my husband always said what is one more in addition to the family?? He is very sweet and gentle and playful and the other cat loves him.

He gets along with our dogs so he is all fine.

But its only me that I want him to find a new home of course it’s sad but I can’t have another more cats we already have 6 although we have space enough for 6 cats but ,

they need attention, love the vaccine , the regular shots and all of that.

Cost money all and adding one more is another cost not to think that we can’t go holiday as we like too as we need to think the logistics of all of them whose going to look after, my 2 niece are both working and sometimes we really need to go away and take off to re-charge our energy and can go on again.

Now he is of course adorable he is very sweet cat and already get used to our house it’s sad for him to let it go, but if I continue fostering and helping cats then .our cats will turn into 50 if I follow my heart.

Simbad needs a family that will also love him and only him not many cats around someone who only the affection and care are for Simbad. I’m looking for a new parent for him.

Simbad is already dewormed he is very healthy cat; he likes to play and get along with the dogs he sleeps with them head to head. He is a good temper cat. A litter trained already.

He loves to sleep with us in bed especially in our arms. In between with our other dogs.

The Heat in on in Phnom penh

The heat in on in Phnom Penh for last 3 weeks ago the normal 32 degrees Celsius
now it escalates to 36 / 38 degrees Celsius

For the 10 years were here and for the last two years the weather is really changing.
We have continuously power blackout in Phnom Penh 2-5 hours a day you’re lucky if your house or workplace are situated in the rich family where they have special privilege and is not affected with electric blackouts.The result of fast growing developments in the city hundreds of constructions are being built.
Its getting more serious and getting more hot in Phnom penh
My husband said this has to do with the climate change and I agree with him he was been reading a lot about this and one research has been very informative to share about the climate chance and the global warming.

Just few days ago my rescued turtles for 8 years now with us normally went on hiding eventually they appears to seek for water and cooler place to cool off. This is Pupuh I rescued him from the market.
They want him for soup ! We have moved house 2x and he has to tag along with us.
I will never leave him behind.

This is how it looks like with our other fur in the house.

To avoid animal dehydration we prepare a bucket of water or a small children’s latex pool for them to cool off and relax anytime they feel the need of dipping into the cold water.
This is Gizmo and the rest of the packs even the cats is curious what’s happening why all of them gather all together like a picnic in the beach.

I have to find way how to keep them cool and relax, even the heat is excruciating some of them still need to sunbath . I never understand !

Gizmo and Arthuz cooling off

Recently we don’t do the long walk anymore it’s just too hot for them to handle.

IF I do that I have to bring buckets of water to cool them off. I’m even so scared to pass them in the pond which we regularly do then can splash a little bit to cool off.
Not anymore I have to refrain from doing that to avoid skin allergies especially for the fur with very think hair.

The cats have their own way to keep themselves cool, they hardly go out and stay only indoor some of them stay inside the bathroom and sleep there like these picture.

Some of them climb in the upper part of the window to glance what is happening outside and just being content listening to the chirping birds in the garden by looking from the high window.

Each of us humans on earth have our own share and responsibility how planet earth are changing.The Climate is really changing and destroying the earth and we humans are unprepared.

Felicity the domesticated cat found in pagoda

Felicity was found at pagoda, we can tell at the very instant she is not a pagoda cat. Nor she belongs to that place and a group of cats hanging around in Pagoda.

Actually Mdm. Loan who found this cat and she called me right away if I want to adopt her and my first reaction is, again? Dear Lord we have 7 already how we can accommodate another one. Plus I have one more small kitten that I poster also came from pagoda and currently Im looking for a new parents to adopt him.

Where do we get all the money to support all of them? The food, the vet and of course the time and attention that they needs to grow and continue their life as a happy animals in this place.

I actually told my husband rescuing cats is enough we can’t add more as our now is more than enough we can handle. Really have to stop. So okay when I went to pagoda again to help Mdm. Loan from capa.

To feed the pagoda cats, she convinces me that I should foster her first. So I did we bring the cat home, I shower and clean her first she is dirty. I even gave her this red necklace which the vet gave me.

She is so natural she likes this necklace right away. She was uneasy with the shower but most of the cats do that. Some of my friends even could not believe I shower my cats. They think I’m crazy!!

But some of the cats love it! It make their skin cool and relax especially If the weather is to warm like what we have her at the moment 36 degrees.

After that warm shower I bring her upstairs together with my other cat. It seems well no fights no arguments they get along I’m happy! I told her from now on she will have a nice shelter and will never run around with other pagoda cats and will sleep in the dirty place and that we called her Felicity.

She seems happy she settled down and sat down in the window enjoying the chirping birds next to the

mango fruit.

Felicity does not eat our cooked fresh fish food. She completely ignored it, which means she is really a cat probably who was strolling around the street and don’t know how to get home.

Finally someone found her and dump her in the pagoda. Oh dear life of the cats in Cambodia.!!!

People think that the monk in Pagoda feed the cats. They are all wrong! The monk feed themselves first and maybe have left over then it goes to those pagoda’s cat and dogs and if none sorry!

I have made all posters and ads for Felicity even have to post her in the expat network plus the vets’ office in Phnom Penh.

No reaction from them so Mdm. Loan decided she has a Vietnamese friend who owns a restaurant and love cats who would love to adopt Felicity. So finally felicity found a new home and I hope she is happy there to her new house and new family.

Sheba our long staying guest

Having a new guest is always fun! We learn new things from the new fur coming in the house.

Sheba is very nice dog to house sit she is very calm and very behaves. So far she must be the best behave and well manner dog we ever house sit. I told my girls I don’t mind to have 10 dogs like Sheba if all the nature is like her.

She is a cross or mix breed Lab retriever body and a Husky blue eyes. She look really pretty !

Sheba will stay with us for 4 months this is her 2^nd time around with us.

Yesterday I play, ball and stuff toys catch with her Oh Boy! I was exhausted running I could hardly keep up with her energy. I told her Sheba please can we rest now? Sometimes I limit her to sit under the sun as the heat is really scorching at the moment I’m afraid she gets dehydrated. But she like to sunbathe in the sun.

This is Sheba also having fun when some of the guests visit us. She is very social when we introduce her to the guest we ask her Sheba introduce yourself and she will normally shake hand with them like this picture. Amazing!!

Since She is rather a large fur she runs fast and her paws when she make her scratch and mark the garden our magic flowers are flying up side down. We are laughing as now we can justify to our gardener that his planting techniques is now justified we always complain why you plant so shallow in the ground. It our house the mango season seems never ending, Cambodia is blessed to have a good harvest always with good quality of fruit mangoes and Jumbo and some of these we also share and feed with our farm animals in the furryplace.

Even our furr chicken and rabbit and guinea pigs loves to munch them.

But we normally don’t over feed them as mangoes are so sweet that put them more fats in their belly.

If someone have “pure “heart to animal the true color of passion to animals.

They tend to enjoy whatever it takes to make the animals happy around them.

Syrel is working full time as kinder garden teacher in school here in Phnom penh during weekdays and when she gets home at night and the weekend she helps in the house with errands thats includes the furr.

My niece Syrel have BIG heart with all our fur and our guest she always find ways how to keep them happy and all the interest in each of them that she pour in coming from her heart makes her a happy person to be around with all of them. This treats of her I truly adore.

She is only 3 months old full of energy some of my furr gave up on her hyper energy.

She is really very sweet and playful , I have same breed of fur in my mother;s house in the Philippines ,

Peppa’s Mum said she is scared of water , bathing is her less favorite thing to do. But in the furryplace she has to bathe as she sleeps with us in bed. Syrel and her have fun together in the shower .

Humans and Cruelty to animals

Some humans can be so cruel with animals. As I was tagging with Mdm Loan from Capa going out reaching and helping out with her daily routine feeding cats in the pagoda.

Last Thursday this male ginger cat now I named him Simon was been dump in the pagoda he is terribly ill sick and been mutilated in some ways.

Mdm Loan has brought this cat to the local vet and all he gets was injection.

He was there keep even has no water bowl. Since Mdm Loan have 130 dogs already to look after in her house / centre and this very sick cat I don’t think he would get more attention in the house of course Mdm Loan will never let him die but with her busy schedules I offer her help to look after this one. At least I can give him that attention and care.

It’s his 2^nd day in my house today and with that stay I manage to check on him. I figure out he was been bitten severely by the dog. He’s balls have wounds that need proper check from the vet.

I suspect he has his broken rib in his back and I’m hoping he has no broken legs.

It’s just so upsetting to see how other humans can be so cruel with animals.

Every time I rub his wounds with betadine I keep talking to him. I’m sorry that we humans do this to you its not your fault you suffer like these and I promised you when you manage to live and get better.

You will never be wondering in the streets again. All you need to do is to get better and don’t give up!

The whole day today I feed him 3x and food that very rich in protein, I have prepared blended chicken and squid plus little amount of shrimp and sardines I soften the cracker to mix in his food.

I have to spoon feed him and force him to eat. The good news is he drinks a load of water and I’m very happy.

Mdm Loan has given powdered antibiotic plus vitamins, so I gave that all to him today aside from the food which I prepared for him.

I cleaned him last night with guava leaves, this morning when he wakes up he is a bit stronger compared to yesterday.

I believed that when he visits the vet he will survived and get healed.

Mdm Loan and I were discussing that she will pass to my house and bring him to the vet to Dr. Dimarte of Agrovet and get him properly check. I can already tell he needs exray to his bone at the back and both of his back leags.

This afternoon at 4.45 pm I decided to bring him out of the room and let him sit outside to see the sun and green , and the promised of sun that will gave him hope to see and enjoy once he gets better.

It seems he is so alive when he was out , he see the sun and the green lush garden plus he hears the tweet tweet of the birdies in the surrounded trees in the garden his face become bright as you can see in this picture it looks like he is not sick. He even turns around his head to look around him.

He sees the promised of the day that when he gets betters he can again enjoy all these environments and the natural beauty

I can tell he has trauma with dogs so I decided to just keep my dogs inside so he will not get distracted and got stress while he enjoyed the 30 minutes out in the sun without the dogs bothering him.

I prayed and wish that he gets better every day and the new promised of life which is waiting for him.

Flora and Fauna in our furryplace

One day a huge and beautiful butterfly just show up in my garden and nip the bud of my white / yellow roses. Amazing I haven’t seen such this big? It was very colorful my nieces take their turns to take photos and even show to Earl and Mathilda our furry and even them they can so fascinated!

Well she did not stay longer in our garden , the following morning we wake up and we tried to look for her she just dis-appear we did not manage to take another glance anymore.

What ashamed!! Such a natural beauty.

Helping Capa in Phnom penh Cambodia

Sorry it’s been two weeks I did not have time to update my blog. It’s been busy for 2 weeks here and there.

Which includes a volunteer time with the only Pets centre in Phnom Penh CAPA ran by the devoted and truly a angel send to look after the welfare of the street dogs in the city of Phnom penh and with the help of her other friends in the association of CAPA

She really have a devotion and love as natural as Madam Loan.

I know Madam Loan year 2003 since I arrive in Cambodia .We normally catch up at the office of Agrovet when she has always emergency with animals. That time we only say hi and hello and often this is always in the vet or in the pet shops were we normally buy some food for our pets.

Madam Loan in a special lady that’s what our french vet Dr. DiMarte from Agrovet always said.

She cared for homeless dogs in the city of Phnom Penh. That includes a daily routine feeding into 3 or 4 pagodas in Phnom Penh.

It’s been my wish to always help Madam Loan unfortunately as I was always busy with my own work and own life not to mentioned with my 9 dogs and 7 cats plus other pets such as 2 rabbits 10 guinea pigs and 30 house chickens in our poultry at the back of our villa. Sometimes I could never find a time to do it.

However, I come to realized that why Madam Loan whose so much rescued street animals and she house them exactly in her premises and have all the energy to do all so much and she it seems she never gets tired of what she does.

I also think that her husband truly put up with her and truly love her to endure and accept what Madam Loan is doing into their lives. Housing and living with all the 140 dogs must be very stressful when the dogs fights and create so much work into their lives. This man is very patience and truly love her as well as love the animals itself.

I said to her few days ago you’re very lucky! If not he might have been left you already.

While going to her house we even get lost and I almost turn back home. I said to my niece let’s do it since were already here somewhere nearby.

Finally I get tired and just hired a motto to guide us. I called Madam Loan again and let her speak to the motto guy so he can lead us to the correct place and finally we found her place.

There you go Madam Loan greeted us in the gate and endless smiles in her face.

I said Madam I’m here to help you wash your dogs. She invited us inside her home with all noisy dogs and gives us a tour of her 3 story home which is exactly facing to the Tonlesap River a beautiful place with beautiful view.

You can tell in just a glance of my eyes that the dogs have turned this beautiful home into a dog refuge.

All Madam Loan"s nice and expensive furniture’s she now put them inside other empty rooms to protect and keep their original state of beauty.

Madam even honestly show us her books were she keep the data of her expenses from vets to medicines to food etc… later on she walk us in the huge bathroom its nice bath with tub where she said sometimes she refuge to get a rest and eat. A place where perhaps she use to relax and soak her herself in the tub when she gets time. Unfortunately since she has 140 dogs in her premises she never had a chance to relax.

That time I can feel she is breaking a little and sobbing I give her a little rub in her back and said Madam you will be fine, you need some help to get you organize with all your dogs.

So one day you can have a normal and happier life, and again can go out with your friends and enjoy having a cup of coffee and a little chat or maybe a nice time with the saloon and a nice facial treatment and Mani and pedicure for a treat! Would be nice ?

I can feel inside my heart Madam Loan is so tired and stressed out. She hardly had rest since all her dogs are getting more and more.

Two days before going to her house I already prepared what I need to bring , a bunch of old towels , some quilts , a shampoo , cutting scissors and even a citronella oil for the fleas of her dogs.

She opens another empty lot with secured gate where she house about 40 dogs.

So I show her what I brought that day and she is very happy. She doesn’t have much clean towels to use as you can see below this is her old stuff.

This is Madam Loan old quilts and towels she use for her dogs. As you can see really she needs to have more towels or quilts in future use.

For bathing the dogs so the stuff I brought was great help for a start.

She needed some basic stuff first like towels , bowls for food and water , shampoo and some tick and fleas spray. These are basic things that she needs urgently to keep all these dogs clean and free from bugs.

Some of the dogs are using these recycled containers.

We started 11.45 am exactly until 3.30 pm in the afternoon Nonstop, We manage to wash 15 dogs only that time as it was rigid work and its time consuming to catch the dogs, both my niece and myself are being careful since these dogs some of them are a bit aggressive some of them are rescued from the street.

I must say both my niece and myself we consider ourselves a little bit experience how to handle the dogs bathing and get them relax and not to get them stressed out during the process while we’re doing our job.

We been growing up with dogs since our childhood not to mention our own 9 dogs we use to bath them almost every day when we used to live in the city of Phnom Penh.

But now since we move to a much bigger and greener place we only bath them 1x a week and that’s either Saturday or Sunday. Now a days we don’t bring them out for walking since our 5,000 square meters garden is more than enough for them to explore. Also we would like to avoid the dust and the dirt’s outside due to all the mushrooming construction in our area.

With Madam Loan’s dog, the time consuming is to pick all the fleas and ticks in their skin.

Before we released them we make sure that they are free with bugs and that we rub them with disinfectant.

I actually explain to Madam Loan that her problem with this fleas matter will never get cures unless she will fumigate the entire premises to kill the bugs.

But in order to do that she needs to evacuate her dogs first in another place so the fumigation can be carried and this is actually very helpful. But with madam Loan's case I am not sure how she manage.

I guess with the constant checking and cleaning her premises plus to keep her dogs bug free then she needs to bath them at least ones every 2 weeks. In my opinion.

On the way back home while Madam Loan offer us a short and quickie meal which is Vietnamese soup , on the way , she stop in one house and while parking her car.

One of the mother dogs with lactating 9 pups fiercely scotched into the tight and close gate in able to reach madam Loan and the cooked food she supplied. It breaks my heart to see the dogs recognize the car of Madam Loan right away she we stop. My hearts stop when I see this.This is her and her pure heart with animals.

I told her I will come again to do some more washing. I again tag along my niece with me since she is off from school and I even brought a grass cutter and my guy in my house who does our gardening.

I offer madam Loan to trimmed off her bushy grass so her dogs can enjoy the place.

I also gave her my old dining dining table wood top plus the stand so she can use as stand while drying the furry . As well as very old bed which we never used anymore for her dogs to sleep in the night.

The 2^nd day of the bathing time, more volunteers came to gave a hand, were very happy with the response and the outcome I think with the bigger group of volunteers we manage to bath 80% of madam loan dogs.

The volunteers have mixed reaction how we organized the bathing but eventually it seems we manage rather well , with all the force put into it and each of us help and work from our heart. It was a success and a great team work ended!

Madam Loan have different dogs most of them actually are in good shape and very few have dis- abilities like lost of eyesight which is really hard to imagine and you don’t want to know how they get it since some of these dogs are from street and some of them are abandoned by their parents.

Every time I bath each of the dogs I tried to strike a baby talk to keep the dog calm.

I always said, this is not your fault why you ended here. It is us all humans fault!!

As I can see and feel Madam Loan needs more help I decided I will spare sometime in the shelter and help her out the best that I can do.

I even bring my gardener plus my grass cutter to help her trimmed off her weeds where some of her 40 dogs are currently housing.

What I would like to achieved in the very near future is be able to gather a group of volunteers’ to helps madam Loan clean her dogs in timely manner. Also I might be able to help her gather and collect for some old towels that her shelter can use, in able to do all of these I need to use my resources, contacts in the local area as well as overseas.

She really needs help. Theres no organisation in Cambodia helping with all these street and abandoned dogs.

Some friends out there who might want to adopt one of CAPA’s dog or maybe fostering.

Friday the cat rescued by Dog

It’s been 1-1/2 months that very tiny kitten landed in our garden and rescued by our dog Anton.

Friday So far this little tiny kitten is now officially part of our family. As my hubs refused to put her for adoption.

Who can resist such cute little on? She is adorable she is super sweet and manages to get her charm to all our big cats and dogs in our furry house. She is sweetheart to all of them including us humans.

As she is the youngest among all out cats sometimes she entertained herself by playing with this little bunny.

When our Lil Sampa wants to alienate herself and decided to sleep on a higher ground.

She is extremely talented and smart fur.I hope she will be happy with us and her new home.

A hobby that slowly turn into a tweaky small business it’s a joy that we as a family have something we can be thankful and proud, aside from we help some family and animals in needs of temporary home while their own parents are out of town of some reason they are travelling either for business or for holiday.

A pet sitting or pet boarding in our own premises is very rewarding hobby that turn slowly into a little tweaky business. My goal is to provide a temporary loving home to pets animals that's are NOT PUT in the CAGE and the pets are not feeling isolated , depressed and lonely when their parents are away.

I understand the feeling and situation of each pets owners when their away as I have my own dogs and cats.When I'm away or my hubs are away for travelling we cant miss the house without calling and checking our pets if they are okay. We normally call our house 2x aday to check on them.

We gave their pets love and care; their pets are treated like ours, Love, care, food and playful time.

We really hope that in our little way we make their stay with us enjoyable, healthy and fun and that when they go back to their own home after staying with us for couple of days, weeks , months we filled in that little gap while their own parents are away.
We arrange a video call conference over Skype with their pets and their parents if they need to see them and hear their meow or woof!
I update each of them with daily well being of their pets and even send them photos of what their pets is doing while they are under our care.

We are so against about animals, or dogs and cats in particular being in the cage that’s why I get this idea that with our large space we might make used of it as a pets sitter or a”” Free”” cage boarding space.

Kitty is very shy and reserved but with us she is relaxed we don’t expose her with our dogs as she is frightened with them so we do respect her boundaries.

She likes to sit always in the balcony just watch the other cats and dogs passing by and some birds that come to the trees and flowers. I personally look after her when I let her out and get some sunlight and exercise in our garden. She is not relax but I think a little of that activity would not hurt her and I hope one day she will get used to it.Her favorite thing to do is cuddling and play with my hand under the quilts.

Ash a sturdy male cat, he likes and enjoys walking around in our large green garden space but he is the boy that you cant normally trust him being by himself he needs proper watching as he tends to jump into the trees and our walls. We don’t want him to jump outside and wonder around that’s why we watch him in his every step. I think sometimes he gets mad why is he being watch like a hawk ??? But he is adorable boy.

Maybe in a long run if he keeps coming back in our furry places then he will finally don’t wonder too much of what is outside this huge wall outside the garden.

Thida is our regular guest her Mom normally entrust her with us for 2-3 weeks but Thida is Amazing she fits in and get adjusted in our house the first time she sit her foot in out gate. She manages to get along with our packs and act like one of the packs and she is like a member of our family. She is very comfortable in our furryplace.

She is nice and sweet girls so does her Mum. Thida loves to play and love attention. She does her regular routine of running so free in our front garden she don’t mind is she steps on our vegetable garden. As long as she gets he dose of exercise in the morning. She likes to get her paws dirty in the mud and get wet.

Sometimes my niece thinks Thida made that in purpose so she can get a cold shower when the weather is pretty warm outside. Well, the tricks did well with her.

We have new babies who come end of this year, Asia and Isa they are siblings, they are very sweet little ones youngest among guest but they got adjusted with us with their three weeks stay in our furry place.

Asia love to play and no fear of dog while Isa is a bit timid in a way she enjoyed the garden and love to climb trees. I can tell she is a real hunter.

Garden is their favorite activity and they normally get 2-3 hours a day with this activity.

Other than that they roam around free inside our house.

Others are more creative and they make sure they enjoy our space which is free for them to use.

I hope they like their stay with us and they have fun staying with us and one day we can also share with other who needs helps outside our home specially the stray cats that only dump in the pagoda.

Pet sitting is a rewarding small business to do , You need to have "pure "" love to animals to start taking pet sitting , as you may used to your own pets behaviour but some other pets can be challenging.

Your own judgement and your pure love to animals will be tested and the only way you last is if your truly an animal lover.

Einstein went MISSING !

The reward of having pets is the joy that they give us all. No matter is what situation it may come.

It’s like having a children ( well some people may not agree with me since I have never bear any child on my own ) but I have look after my nieces and nephews and they are like my own children as we have the same blood line.

Our furry place sometimes can be super demanding inside our house.

Both my husband and I our world rotates around them. In our house our animals first!

We make sure they don’t get starved or don’t get sick.

For us ,our pets our children.

What do you do when one of your children is missing?

Our white cat Einstein went missing Friday and until today no sight of him. It’s been 4 days that no Einstein!!!

Were very sad normally he never goes that far and he always knows where his home and his food are.

In the middle of the night I will always look in each window if he have come and he knows where his home is?

We have search him in our neighbourhood but no signs if someone found him.

We will have some posters later on hanged in our neighbourhood looking for him and posting for little reward whoever who can bring him back to out home.

We suspect he got picked up by strangers he is pure white with beautiful pair of blue eyes.

Very healthy and pretty cat to get snap in our neighborhood.

How I wish who ever snatched him. Realized that this cat don’t eat wet food except his crackers as home.

He maintained a routine every 3 months check up and shots that cost a fortune to maintain.

Plus his yearly vaccine that we humans don’t even get.

I hope one day Einstein will show up in the door!

Welcome 2013

Saying goodbye to 2012 and welcoming year 2013 with a BANG!

Before end of the year I am happy that I manage to have Sampaguita to get fixed.

She was as the vet for sterilized

And Trixie went for her eye surgery Thanks God this is over cost of course a fortune but I’m glad that’s over now.

We will have our fur healthy. I am happy that year 2012 has been very good to my fur except with Gizmo’s skin allergy last time. So far there’s no major setback and that’s all so sweet.

Our pet sitting / boarding business has been very blessed that we are fully booked up during Christmas holidays until even 17^th January again that’s another thing to be thankful and celebrate.

We really wish that all my fur are healthy and God fur upstairs will blessed them healthy and longer life and how I wish Anton and Mathilda will get along one day.
