Arul's Farewell

2012-08-13T22:23:00.000+08:00

Our company, WD, announced that it is providing VSS to reduce its workforce by 20% for Asia plants. Today is the day they make announcements on the VSS applications status. Its sad, to see people leave. I know its normal to not have permanence in workplace. People come and people leave. A place of beginning and ending. But one thing is for sure, the friendship. It is there to stay, in our hearts, forever.

When one of my friend in WD, Arul, break the news to us during dinner last friday, i was shocked. Overwhelm by the news, i felt a sudden loss. It will not be the same without AJ. He's a resourceful guy, in terms of updates about company, people, changes and also, gossips. HAHAHA! Life at work will be less interesting without him around. Gonna miss him! He's the guy who brings us to Indian Food, when we felt bored with the routine shops in SS3 for lunch. He is the guy who help us order Rojak Mee and Cendol at the tepi jalan stall near Taman Mayang. He is the guy who treats Koo like a brother and, me and PY like his sister.

It all happened overnight. It's too fast. Feels sad to see him leave but its a good ending to his nightmare of ET and a good beginning of life. Hope and wish he has all the luck for his future undertakings. :)

Maybe its just me, i always felt a little bit over-emotional when a good friend leaves the company. Not too sure why, but, one thing is for sure, true friends are rare in workplace. Once found, i'll really cherish and appreciate it. Is that the reason why i'm emo? I guesss, that is why :)

9th of Aug

2012-08-09T21:49:00.000+08:00

It's with a mixed feeling that i celebrated my 2012 birthday. Final year of my 20s and final year of carrying the title MISS. I'm sad but i'm happy. Ironic! Still cannot really imagine myself celebrating my first 30th birthday next year. Ah, time passes by so fast. Getting older but wiser. Embracing aging and wisdom. Its not that bad after all. :)

So, the Boyfriend brought me to KLCC to have a little celebration. We both took half day off and went to "hang kai kai". :)

First stop, we went for New Zealand ice-cream. After contemplating and tryout of the variety of flavours, we decided on Yogurt Berries and Cookies n' Cream. Its our first try on this brand ice-cream. Personally, i like it better than Baskin Robin or Haagan Daaz. Not too sweet, for my taste-bud.

Then, we drop by this little cafe, Charlie Brown Cafe for a drink. The layout and design of this cafe is cute and cheerful. However, i was dissapointed as the drink that we ordered was way TOO SWEET! The hot chocolate drink that we ordered was practically sugar water added with chocolate. Did not managed to finis up the drink. What a waste! We had no choice but to walk out after just a small cup of drink.

The food presented on the menu wasn't appetizing. So, we did not order any food. No wonder, there wasn't any people in the shop except the waiter/waitresses. Wonder how long can this cafe sustain its business.

Only take away from our visit to this cafe is some cute photos of snoopy and charlie brown :)

Bkt Tinggi Trip

2012-02-11T21:27:00.000+08:00

We went for a relaxing weekend getaway at Colmar Tropicale, Berjaya Hills, Bukit Tinggi, Pahang. This beautiful cobblestone central courtyard is inspired by the original Colmar village in Alsace, France, Colmar Tropicale. The scenery of this resort is simply beautiful with style and breathtaking. Its cooling breeze made our stay there even more comfortable. My only complaint is that the food there isn't nice and are priced at a more expensive price.

the Chew Jetty

2011-12-25T23:02:00.000+08:00

Felt like shooting with my camera. So, decided to go for a stroll down a living heritage community, The Chew Jetty in Penang.

I was mesmerized by the village that withstood the test of time and a strong testament of living heritage for Penang. The Chew Jetty is actually a whole settlement of wooden houses built on silts and the name “Chew” is the surname (the first name) of the residences and that’s where the name was derived. Migrant’s families with this surname would live together in this area.

It gave me a very authentic village feeling. Although these clusters of wooden houses look old but they are surprisingly clean and tidy. A pleasant experience :)

Merry Christmas!!

The year end again........

2011-11-22T21:28:00.000+08:00

Tik Tok Tik Tok!

Checking the calendar, it's November again! Cant believe 2011 is coming to an end soon. I really hate the feeling of time flying by so fast. But, at the same time, learning to embrace and endure it.

Usually at this time of the year, i like to sit down, review my resolutions set in the past year, how much did i achieve this year. And, at the same, think of what more i want to do and going to do for the upcoming year.

This year, i am going to set few more goals for myself and bring my life into the next level.. :)

Fort Cornwallis in Penang

2011-11-21T11:40:00.002+08:00

Its my first time returning to Penang after relocating back to KL early this year in February. Ah, how time really flies. It's almost 1 year already. Really miss this little island.

Hence, after KP wedding, took some time off on Monday morning to go shoot some nice photos. It's really a blessing that the weather was great on that morning. Blue Skies, Blue sea, Sunny sun :)

Off we go to the Fort Cornwallis...

We also seized the opportunity to grab my favourite sushi from Tsuruya!!! Ah, how i wish KL have Tsuruya.

Genting Casual Trip

2011-11-13T22:32:00.000+08:00

Not the first time visiting Genting Highlands. But, first time going there with my new camera. Just love the feeling of shooting photos. :)

The air up there was cooling, not as cool as it used to be though. We stayed in First World Hotel. It was really nice to walk around, enjoy the windy breeze, relax and snap some photos. Also not forgetting the joy of riding those horrifying rides in the Outdoor Theme Park.

Bruno MArs - Today My Life Begins

2011-11-01T21:22:00.001+08:00

Love this song.. :)

I've been working hard so long
seems like pain has been my only friend
my fragile heart's been done so wrong
i wondered if I
I'd ever heal again

oh just like all the seasons never stay the same
all around me i can feel a change (oh)

i will break these chains that bind me, happiness will find me
leave the past behind me, today my life begins
a whole new world is waiting it's mine for the taking
i know i can make it, today my life begins

yesterday has come and gone
and I've learn how to leave it where it is
and i see that i was wrong
for ever doubting i could win

oh just like all the seasons never stay the same
all around me i can feel a change (oh)

i will break these chains that bind me, happiness will find me
leave the past behind me, today my life begins
a whole new world is waiting it's mine for the taking
i know i can make it, today my life begins

life's to short to have regrets
http://www.elyricsworld.com/today_my_life_begins_lyrics_bruno_mars.html
so I'm learning now to leave it in the past and try to forget
only have one life to live
so you better make the best of it

i will break these chains that bind me, happiness will find me
leave the past behind me, today my life begins
a whole new world is waiting it's mine for the taking
i know i can make it, today my life begins

i will break these chains that bind me, happiness will find me
leave the past behind me, today my life begins
a whole new world is waiting it's mine for the taking
i know i can make it, today my life begins
today my life begins...

Its Halloween Night

2011-10-31T21:57:00.000+08:00

It's a usual Monday, which started off with work. After work, dashed off through the traffic jams. Reached home, took a hot shower. Cooked a bowl of noodle with cabbage and an egg for dinner. Then, i switched on my lappie, logged on to Facebook for updates whilst engrossing myself on the comfy sofa, listening to Stay by Estrella.

The feeling of after rain is so nice. Such a bliss! Love it.

Im happy. Contented. I have my family, my beloved Dear Dear, my colleagues, my friends, my lappie, my blackie, my fatty, my books, my piano, my bed and my wardrobe. They make my life complete. I'm glad to be healthy and happy. That's what matter most, in life, at least, to me. :)
