Oh Yeah! This is a great red piece of art, and guesses what? The engine is in the back of the car, and fuel tank is at the front, I am not sure that Volkswagen company has produced this car this way, I really doubt it!

I have no idea from where he got vw parts to make this car works like this crazy way, maybe he is using a vw beetle parts, anyways.. tell me what you think about this car and the draft, this is like cars games, too much fin!

Volkswagen are pleased to announce some additional contributions to the Government’s car scrappage scheme. I found this news on Volkswagen official website

Here what I fond on VW official website:

If you buy a Volkswagen Golf S model you will get a total of £3,950 saving off diesel engines and £3,250 saving off petrol engines. This saving includes the £1,000 incentive from the Government.  This means you can now buy a new Golf S 1.4 80PS 3dr from £10,335 in conjunction with the government scrappage scheme. (Golf SE, GT, GTI and GTD models will continue to get the standard £2,000 scrappage scheme incentive).

Volkswagen are also offering a total of £4,250 saving off all models in the Passat range, including Saloon, Estate and CC.  This saving includes £1,000 incentive from the Government.  This means you can now buy a new Passat Saloon from £12,190 in conjunction with the government scrappage scheme.

But what about my old car?

To be eligible for this saving your old car must be scrapped under the new Government scheme. Your old car must have been registered on or before 31st August 1999 and you must have owned the car for a minimum of 1 year. The Government and Volkswagen will then contribute £1,000 each towards the price of your new Volkswagen.  The scheme will help remove older cars from our roads, replacing them with safer and more environmentally-friendly models.

Government Scrappage Scheme – Full terms and conditions:

The Government Scrappage Scheme offer applies to vehicles registered to private retail customers. The scheme is available from 5th June 2009 until the Government funding expires or until 28th February 2010, whichever comes first.

The vehicle traded in must be a car or van registered on or before 31st August 1999, weighing up to 3.5 tonnes which has been registered to you continuously for 12 months before the order date of the new vehicle. You must have a UK address on the registration certificate and a current MOT test certificate and have no outstanding finance on the vehicle before the new vehicle is ordered.

The discount will be offered against new retail vehicles which are first registered in the UK on or after 5th June 2009 and declared new at first registration in the UK with no former keepers.

If you own a new Mitsubishi Lancer or planning to get one, then you must be confused like me because this car has a lot of Specifications that probably will get you lost, and make it so hard to decide which Mitsubishi Lancer you really want to have and meet your requirements.

In this case, we are talking about buying a car in Egypt, So.. if you look into the car market in Egypt, and check car offers, you will find that you can buy different cars from different countries in the Middle East. The Mitsubishi Lancer Market in Egypt -for example- will offer you cars from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Jordan and of course the only car that has a Valid Guarantee for 100.000 Kilometers or 3 years is the Lancer made in Egypt, so the other cars that been exported from the 3 other countries will not have a Car Guarantee, means you are driving by your own.

Since yesterday and I am searching for a specific car, a friend asked me for help to find a Lancer 2009 with a Special Specifications, the most exited thing that people prefer to buy cars that comes from the gulf is the Multi-point injection fuel system that doesn’t exist in Jordanian Lancers or Egyptian ones.

OK, so lets check the Lancer with Multi-point injection fuel system, I visited around 3 car suppliers in Cairo where I meet a very nice people like Magid Amir the Auto Samir Rayyan Sales Manager who told me that this Multi-point injection fuel system is no longer exist in the Lancer 2009 that been exported from the gulf area, and this disappointed me because I want to buy this car for my friend as he don’t care about Guarantee, he just need a strong car.

This is not good but.. let’s hear the other opinions. The 2 other sales guys from the other 2 places told me that they has it and they are sure it has the Multi-point injection fuel system, and this made me so confused because who should I believe?! Who should I trust?! In Car Market you really shouldn’t trust anyone these days!! If you know any information about the Lancer Multi-point injection fuel system I will appreciate if you drop me a comment and tell me about it.

Been thinking about it, and trying to find out more about the Lancer World, I realized it’s not easy to find the truth on the internet by search engine results, this car have 100s of confusing Specifications!

The Golf Mk4 was first introduced in August, 1997, followed by a notchback version (VW Bora or, in North America, again VW Jetta) in August, 1998 and a new Golf Variant (estate) in March, 1999. There was no Mk4 derived Cabriolet, although the Mk3 Cabriolet received a facelift in late 1999 that comprised bumpers, grill and headlights similar to those of the Mark 4 models. New high-performance models included the 3.2L VR6 engined four-wheel-drive Golf R32 introduced in 2004, a 2.8 L four-wheel drive Golf VR6 4Motion version available succeeding the Mk3 VR6 which used a 2.8 L VR6 and only had front-wheel drive, as well as the famous 1.8T (turbo) 4cyl. that is shared between Audi and VW models.

As of 2008, certain variants of the Golf/Bora Mk4 are still in production in Brazil, China, and Mexico. Revised versions of the Mk4 are currently on sale in Canada marketed as the City Golf and City Jetta. The two models are VW Canada’s entry-level offerings. They received a significant freshening for the 2008 model year, including revised headlamps, taillamps, front and rear fascias, sound systems, and wheels. Both models are offered only with the 2.0 L SOHC 4-cylinder gasoline engine, rated at 115 hp. They are the only entry-level offerings with an optional 6 speed automatic. The production of Golf Mk4 for the US market ended in 2006.

The last 2 days, I was working on My Golf II blog fixing the theme as you all can see, I need some feedbacks regarding the new theme. And the content, I have an idea to write about everything related to cars, not only the MK2, what about that?

It’s clear now that this post is not about Cars! It’s about the blog itself, so I will appreciate any feedbacks when ever you come through My Golf II blog.

Should I write about Volkswagen only?

This blog was specially created for the Volkswagen Golf MK2, as I am a fan of this specific car, but I am wondering what will happen in the feature of this blog, I have some experience now with blogs, so what is the plan for this one?!

Can the MK2 bring good traffic for this blog?  Do people search enough about this classic old car?! This is what I am wondering!

Should I shift it to write about all Volkswagen cars? Should I expand my blog to contain All Germany Cars? Or open it up and make it more wider?

Should I change my blog Categories?

Maybe changing categories of the blog is a good idea, but what categories should I have? suggest some categories for me!
