If you haven't already seen it. I highly suggest that you do. It's funny, sad, and extremely informative. Many people believe that if you have health insurance that all your health care needs will be taken care of. That is just another lie that we have been told. They do all they can not to help you. Why? Because they don't want to spend any money on you! They want to keep all of the money for themselves. That's how they make money. The intention has never been to help you with your health needs. The quicker you understand this the better off you will be.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sicko tells you the sad truth of how United States health care industry really is. They would rather see people die than to help them. Countries such as Canada, Britain, France, and even Cuba give their people free health care. Having free health care is a basic need that every individual has the right to have.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Michael Moore did a fabulous job on this documentary. He asked all the questions that you wanted to know upfront. This is really an eye opener. I believe everyone can relate to this film because we all know someone who can't afford medical insurance or if they do they are fighting to get the help that should be guaranteed to them. After all, it's not like it's free, because you are paying for it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Nothing seems to be geared toward helping people and everything is geared toward watching people suffer. I always say it, and I will say it again. You have to educate yourself regarding issues, because the media is not going to tell you the truth. You will be sicker than a dog if you are waiting for them to inform you. It's your health and life. If you don't care enough to take the time and educate yourself. Than who will? Don't believe all the bull the media tells you when they say this or that person is a quack. The real quack is the media and the health care industry.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Remember it's all about the money. The sicker you are the more they get paid! If there is one, I'd really like to know about it. This is a question everyone has on their minds. There is no overnight cure for sickness. Our bodies are not like vehicles. When something is not working properly, we take it to the shop get it fixed, and than we are good to go. It takes time for the body to heal, and there is no quick way. It's the same for losing weight too.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;That's the reason why many people opt to have surgery. They figure they go in get operated on have this replaced, this liposuctioned, or this removed. Sure, they know they will be down for a little while, but in the back of their minds they believe it is much faster, than putting the effort into changing their lifestyle. What the doctors don't tell them is they have not solved the problem, and in a couple of years or maybe months they will be right back where they started from or even in worse shape. Another fact to consider is all surgeries are not successful, and some are irreversible.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Let me explain myself because, I don't want people to get the wrong impression. I don't think surgery is bad, because it has saved many people's lives when done for the right reasons. However, I don't think surgery should be the first option on the list, and more so because one does not want to make lifestyle changes. Also, I believe surgery has become an epidemic especially here in the United States. It seems that no one is even looking at alternative solutions anymore.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I've seen first hand that it takes time to heal and there is no quick method. My mom's friend husband found out he had rectal cancer this past May. His wife had been telling him for years that he should start eating healthier. He would never listen to her. He continued to eat at fast food restaurants, and loads of junk food. He would cook for the family, and of course the food that he cooked did not qualify as being healthy. Even after he found out that he was sick it was a struggle for him to  change his eating habits. Friends were concerned too, and they let him know about it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My mom's friend and her husband continued going to the doctor. The doctors told him that  he would need surgery to remove the cancer. They told him the worse case scenario would be that he would have to get a colostomy bag. My Mom's friend told my mom that they would were going to look at some alternative solutions in the mean time. Her husband was still having a hard time making the necessary lifestyle changes he needed to help him fight this cancer. A friend wanted to put him on a natural health program. He refused.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He decided to go ahead and have the surgery which was scheduled in July. He had the surgery. The doctor told my mom's friend (his wife) that it was the worse case scenario. They had to remove his &lt;a href="http://www.bladderandbowelfoundation.org/bowel/healthy-bowel/how-the-bowel-works/anal-sphincters.htm#"&gt; anal sphincter&lt;/a&gt;. Therefore he would now have to have a colostomy bag for the rest of his life. It was not the news he or the family wanted to hear.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, he has to make lifestyle changes, and it is not easy. I don't think he thought it was going to be the worse case scenario. I think he thought he was going to  go in and have the surgery, and in a few months he was going to be back to living the unhealthy lifestyle that probably got him in that way in the first place. It would have been easier if he had went ahead and made those changes in the beginning.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It's not a quick fix to anything, and you shouldn't want one regarding your health. Don't wait until you get sick to start making the health changes you need to. Regardless, of what the doctor or anyone else tells you. I found it at Target (I love Target). I was shocked because usually in the stores it's hard to find products that are natural. The products are extremely gentle. I don't usually, use soap on my face because it dries my face out, but I can use these soaps, and I don't have any problems with it drying out. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The lotion is so light and so gentle on your skin. It smells heavenly. I was already a fan of shea butter. These products have shea butter in them. So, if you're like me than, you will really enjoy them. The lotion gives your skin the right amount of moisture. It's not greasy at all. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have been trying to watch what I put on my skin, as we all know that the skin absorbs what you put on it. So, the least chemicals going on the skin is better for you health wise. Besides, natural products are so much better. When you know what the ingredients are you feel much better about using it (I know I do).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I know that you will enjoy these products. They are excellent for your skin. I just love it when I find something that is so good. No one wants to play the healthy food vs junk food game everyday, because it gets old and tiring very quickly. So, how can you get your spouse to eat healthy?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Be encouraging. Explain to him or her the importance of eating a healthy diet.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Get the whole family involved. It's much easier to do things together, than it is alone.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3. Involve him or her in the planning of meals and the grocery shopping.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4. Try new and different recipes. Eating healthy doesn't have to be boring or taste bad.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;5. Try to keep healthy foods and snacks around the house.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;6. Pick good books to read regarding making the transition to a healthy lifestyle. Include the whole family. Don't know what kinds of books to consider? Kindly, remind them that we have only one body and we have to take care of it, because if we don't who will? Don't let food be the reason for an argument.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;9. Have patience, and be understanding. Remember, the food industries are using ingredients that is causing it to be addictive. It also takes time for a person to break bad habits.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;10. Lead by example. If you are looking and feeling good. By knowing your body; I mean you should pay attention to it. You should know your body better than your doctor, not vice versa. Sometimes, the solution to your health problems is simple. If you take care of your body and learn what your body needs you can solve some of the problems you may be having yourself.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, if you feel that you really don't know what the health problem is than, you should go to the doctor. Then slice them. Peel then chop the garlic. Add the onions then the garlic. Add the olive oil. Then add the butter. Saute the onions and the garlic until they turn yellow and you smell the aroma. Add the chicken broth or water. Cover the pot. When it starts to boil add salt and pepper. They eat because they are depressed, stressed, bored, social occasions, happy, or just because they have a taste for a certain kind of food. None of those reasons are a legitimate reason to eat. It is especially bad for your health if you are doing this on a regular basis. The reason I asked you the second question. Is because many people are eating the wrong things. Such as processed food and junk food. Which doesn't nourish our bodies at all. The reason I asked you the third question. The body needs movement. If you are not moving you will not burn any fat. That means all the food you are eating is just being stored on your body which turns to fat. The reason I asked you the fourth question is because cooking from scratch is better for your health because you are purchasing the food, thus knowing what ingredients is being used. At a fast food restaurants you have no idea what is being used.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We must get rid of the bad eating and shopping habits and develop good eating and shopping habits. One very important detail is to read the ingredient list. Always, read the ingredients. You must eat lots of fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of water. If you have problems with drinking water. Do all the things that you know to do so that we can be healthy. We assume that if we get sick that the doctors or hospitals are going to do everything that they can to make us better. This is not always the case.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When one is sick the first thing that they have to do is take a look at what they are doing. Especially, what one is eating. My grandmother has been sick since February of 2008 and she is now sick again. She has diabetes and congestive heart failure. My mom went to Ohio to take care of her. She had completely changed her diet. She was cooking her meals and helping her get some exercise by having her do a little walking everyday. She was getting better. She took care of my grandmother for 2 months. She had asked my grandmother did she want to come to Michigan and stay with her. She said, "No". My mom returned home.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Since, my mom left my grandmother has been in and out of the hospital. She is now back in the hospital and my mom is back in Ohio. She wasn't doing to good and she had a small stroke. My mom was visiting with my grandmother and guess what she was drinking. Pop. Can you believe that? My mom said,"Mom you don't need to be drinking that?" That's like giving a cancer patient a cigarette. You would think the hospital would know how to feed people when they are sick. It's probably not on their priority list. My grandmother has been in and out of the hospital and the rehabilitation center. Last year I went to Ohio with my mom and sisters and we visited her at the rehabilitation center. The food they were feeding her was horrible. If you are sick no way should you be eating that kind of food. Fish sticks and a potatoe salad sandwich. Who has even heard of that?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I really do believe that it is not the agenda of the health care system to make us healthy. With all the technology they have and all the studying they have done on the body they should know by now what is healthy and what is not. No one wants to be on medication for the rest of their lives. (Well, they shouldn't want to be).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I really hope that my grandmother will get better and I do hope that she will come and stay with my mom because, that would be much better for her. Bad hair days. If you are looking for hair products that can get your hair back to the beauty you know it has than I have some products for you. They are called Sizta2Sizta. These products are absolutely fabulous.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you have a problem with split ends (like I used to) you will find that the halt breakage control control will absolutely get rid of them. Before, I started using this conditioner I was trimming my hair everytime I washed it. Since, I have been using this conditioner I haven't trimmed my hair the last couple of times I washed it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The shampoo is nice too. It doesn't have all those chemicals in it that the store bought one's have. It cleanses your hair extremely well and it is so gentle that anyone can use it. Both the shampoo and the conditioner come in super size bottles so, you don't have to worry about running out so fast.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The healthy hair oil is great. It really moisturizes your hair and it leaves your scalp tingling and feeling refreshed and smelling good. With peppermint oil, tea tree oil, lavendar oil your hair and scalp is moisturized very well. My sister's husband likes it too. After he trims his beard down he applies the healthy hair oil and it prevents him from breaking out because he has sensitive skin. My sister says she can't keep enough of it around.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I can't say enough good things about these products. All I can say is I'm glad I found them. When they turn yellow add the chopped carrots and the split peas. Continue to saute for 10 minutes. Than add the water or chicken broth. Cover the pot. When the soup starts to boil add the salt and pepper. The majority said that they struggled the most with eating healthy. Sometimes it does take one a little while to change one's bad habits. Until, one can become strong enough to resist the foods that are not good for them they must put themselves in an environment where they can make better food choices. Eating and shopping is no different.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When you know better you have to do better. So, where can you shop to make better food and health choices?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Health food stores are a great place to shop. They are small and it's easy to find what you need and you don't get so overwhelmed. I believe that you will also be more likely to try out different foods that you might of not thought of to try which are better for your health.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here are some name's of health food stores:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. &lt;a href"http://www.thenaturalfoodpatch.com"&gt;The Natural Food Patch&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. &lt;a href"http://www.traderjoes.com"&gt;Trader Joe's&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3. &lt;a href"http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com"&gt;Whole Foods Market&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4. &lt;a href"http://www.wildoatsproducts.com/app/private/index.php"&gt;Wild Oats&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;5. &lt;a href"http://www.thebetterhealthstore.com/"&gt;The Better Health Food Store&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Another store that is not a health food store but in my opinion is making an effort to give their customers better food choices is Meijer's.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Eating locally is good for your health too. You should eat foods in your locale because they contain the cure and antidote for all the little viruses, bugs, and special bacterial strains that occur in your area. Today, we are getting food from all over the world, and we don't know what kinds of chemicals they are using to treat them or what's in them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A prime example is the salmonella problem we are now having. They don't know where the problem is coming from. That is another disadvantage of having food coming from everywhere. They don't know who is doing what.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To find out where you can buy your food locally go to: &lt;a href="http://www.localharvest.org"&gt;Local Harvest.&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A way that you can tell if your food is grown locally is to look on the package and it will tell you if that fruit or vegetable is grown in your state. Randazzo's sells a lot of Michigan produce and they also have honey from there too. It's hot, humid, and everyone is trying to beat the heat. The most common ways to stay cool are: drinking lots of cold water, running the air conditioner or fan, going swimming, eating ice-cream, and sitting under a large tree for shade.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It's so hot and the blazing sun is beating down everywhere you turn. How do you stay cool? What else can you do?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Wear long loose-fitting clothes. Clothes that allow your skin to breathe. When the wind blows you can really feel it. Fabrics like: silk, rayon, georgette, cotton, linen, cotton gauze are great to work or relax in. Wearing long loose-fitting clothes not only keeps you cooler longer and faster it is also a protection from germs for your skin. If you are sitting at a public bench at a store or park. You don't know how many people have sat there before you. It's hot, and people have been sweating all over the seats. You don't want other people's sweat on your skin?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Long loose-fitting clothes is a protection from the sun and germs. Your skin doesn't have to pay the price. This way you can save money too, because you won't have to buy sunscreen, because your body will be covered and not exposed to the sun.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Have a fun and safe summer! They are soft and easy to eat. They make a very nutritional snack. Before you eat dates you must remove the seed that is inside. Break with your fingers or use a knife to make a small slit in the date and remove the seed. After you remove the seed you can put your favorite spread inside.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to put butter inside his dates when he ate them. You can try that if you like.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You can put cream cheese inside the date. That is hmmm good. Putting peanut butter inside the date is good too. If you like you can first put a little bit of cream cheese first and than top it off with some peanut butter. Or you can eat each separately. You might want to eat it separately first if this is your first time eating dates.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You can also eat dates with your favorite nuts. An almond is a good nut to put inside because it fits perfectly. You can eat it with peanuts or pistachios too. Whichever, way you prefer. We all know that oatmeal helps lower your cholesterol. It is quick and easy to make. If you're eating it everyday or for a specific number of days you might want to come-up with some different ways to make it more flavorful. The original way to make is to add a little bit of butter and honey to it. For more nutritional value add some flaxseeds to it.(Oatmeal and flaxseeds together are very instrumental in helping with constipation.)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For the tasty aspect add some fruit and nuts to your oatmeal. What are your favorite fruits and nuts to eat?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You can add some raisins or craisins to your oatmeal. Sprinkling a little bit of cinnamon on top. How about adding some prunes?(Another instrumental source that will help you with constipation.)If you like banana and strawberries this too you could add. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dates in the oatmeal is also very good. Dates are very sweet and they will give your oatmeal a very great taste.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You could add some nuts such as: almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts or pecans. Whichever you prefer. I don't have anything against eating meat. Chicken is one of my favorite foods. Meat and vegetables both have nutrients our body needs. However, I believe in moderation with everything. It's good to switch things up. Next time you make or order pizza get a vegetarian one instead. What about having a vegetarian soup? Got a taste for a hamburger? Eat a meatless one. It doesn't have to be about eating meat and potatoes everyday. It can just be about eating potatoes and vegetables.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Also, many people are not getting enough vegetables in their diet. This is a good way to make sure you get them in. For them milk and cheese is out of the question. Even though you may not be 100% vegan you can find some recipes that will help you find recipes that are dairy-free &lt;a href="http://www.christinacooks.com"&gt;Christinacooks.com&lt;/a&gt; is an excellent website where you can find vegan(non-dairy) recipes. She also has some cookbooks you may be interested in getting.
