This is a kind of heavy downpour in this monsoon season. The rain Gods may have failed to give relief to the farmers in the rural hinterland of the country, but movie buffs have been spoilt with options since the standoff between multiplexes and film producers has been resolved. After seven in the last week, five films were released this week, more than enough for the movie goers to satiate their appetite.

Three : Love, lies and betrayal came first as it hit the ticket counters a day ahead- jyotish and numerology playing a vital part in its pre-ponned release on Thursday. However, it proved a dumb squib at the box office as the script failed to click with the audience.

On Friday, four films were released, with Chintuji, Mohandas - A Man Lost in His Own Nation, Bachelor Party and Fox fighting to go one-up over another. Except for Chintuji which sprang a surprise with its beautiful narration, remaining four had a solid promotion strategy but haven't got good openings in the multiplexes. Music releases, wallpapers, exclusive premiers- film makers tried every trick in the book to make their respective movies, but initial results have not been encouraging. Bachelor Party, a comedy film, disappoints with its weak presentation. Mohan Das: A Man Lost in His Own Nation and Fox are from the same genre- thriller, but sadly, do not thrill much. With Fox, the suspense ends shortly after interval, and you are left with normal latka-jhatkas to contend with.

Fake IPL Blog

Controversies surrounding Fake IPL Blog is showing no sign of declining. Every second day we hear news that the fake ipl blogger has been caught and next day we see a new blog post on the blog itself with more juicy and controversial stories.

In the last post on the fake ipl blog, the blogger mentioned about Dildo [Sharukh Khan] questioning Boy George [Joy Bhattacharya] to justify current large support staff. The fake ipl blog tells that the focus has shifted to the support staff now. Fake ipl blog predicts that that 5 of the support staff members will be asked to return soon. The fake ipl blog further tells that the management is now convinced that the person behind fake ipl blog is not a player, but a support staff member.

Fake ipl blog also predicts about the official resignation of Bhookha Naan [Buchnan, the coach], Skipper [McCullum] and the entire support staff at the end of the current season.

The fake ipl blog also reveals that the he has decided to retire from all forms of cricket after current season and will reveal his identity on their last match day. Wow wow wow, we are going to know the name behind the fake ipl blog – the blogger that entertained us all and also created the biggest controversy in the history of IPL. No wonder, blog reader requested him not to disclose his identity and come back in the next season. It seems that we loved IPL controversies more than the IPL itself?

Super Over in IPL 20-20 Cricket - Rajasthan Royals v. Kolkata Knight Riders

Super Over is a new and exciting concept in cricket. It was first timed tried in a 20-20 match between New Zealand and West Indies.

Super Over is similar to penalty shoot-out that we see in some of the other sports. In case of the tie between two teams in 20-20 match, the match is decided with one over by each team. The team winning in that over is declared as the match winner. This way all the matches ends up with a result and no-old boring match ties.

In the first ever match decided by Super Over, West Indies scored 25 runs from their one super over while New Zealand made 15 runs. That way West Indies won that game. McCullum and Gayle were part of that match as well.

Today in the IPL match between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders score tied at 150 in 20 overs. According to the IPL rules, the match had to be decided by Super Over. The first over was bowled by Kamran Khan of Rajasthan Royals and he had given 15 runs of that over. Chris Gayle hit some good fours in that over. Rajasthan Royal had to made 16 runs to win the match and they send Yusuf Pathan and Ravindra Jadeja to bat. Yusuf Pathan finished the match quickly in four balls and by hitting some big shots against Ajanta Mendis, the bowler who bowled him earlier in the match. Previously written off Deccan Chargers’ performance has wrung the danger bell for others. The manner in which Deccan Chargers trampled down Royal Challengers Bangalore has raised the level of expectations now. Though RCB lost after playing full quota of overs, but Rahul Dravid believes that they were out of the game after initial 6 overs. However RCB’s Kallis asserts that his team can enter the semi-finals.
