I hope you enjoyed these jokes as much as I did. Santa Banta jokes may sound quite silly, but they can still give you a hearty laughter. I Love Hindi

I love Hindi, and I feel proud that it’s my mother tongue. As I’m saying this I affirm – Hindi isn’t just a language. It is affection a mother pours on her child. It’s the fragrance of soil after rain. It’s the vastness one feels when one witnesses great Himalayas. I love Hindi, because it’s the expression of my emotions, because it gives words to all my feelings. This moment, when you’re reading why I love Hindi, and why you all love Hindi, many unanswered questions are troubling me. Let’s use the credible platform of Hindi Blogs to figure it out. Let’s try to find out the answers of some of these questions together.

The first question that comes to my mind is – what’s Hindi? Is it a fabricated language created by pseudo linguists? Can a language be created and propagated by people sitting in air-conditioned rooms? Can mental gymnastics by few direct the progress of a language? Now, while writing this, I have a simple answer for these people – they won’t dictate what Hindi should be anymore. The majestic river of Hindi would break all artificial dams. Peasants reap Hindi in their fields, laborers construct Hindi on various sites, vendors in streets of country sell it, common men and women mold Hindi – and they would decide the fate of Hindi language, not some government employees and so-called linguists. This moment, it should be made clear to them – their fabricated language won’t do anymore, they won’t guide our language. But we know that it cannot be done just by writing here. It can only be done when you, while reading this, make sure that a living and organic Hindi will be used, at least by you.

Anglicizing Hindi is another problem. It’s cutting our language from the very root. It’s poisoning our language, language of our kids. And if the trend continues, sooner or later it’d destroy Hindi that we hold so dear to ourselves. There are people who support it, who say that overt use of English words enriches Hindi. At this moment I say to you – you and I love Hindi, because it’s “Hindi”, because its Hindi-ness is there. Let me be clear here, I’m not against use of English words and phrases. But Hindi should remain Hindi. If we make it sound like English, we will kill the soul of our language. And soon this great language would die unnoticed. But as I love Hindi and I firmly believe you love it too, we won’t let it happen. Hindi must retain its essence, it must stay a language of Indian origin, and it must stay our language. We must speak the real Hindi, we must send SMS in real Hindi, and we must spread real Hindi, because if you believe in “Hindi Blogs”, you know this is the moment to act. And it’d be too late if won’t act now. Bhartendu Harishchandra said:

The knowledge of one’s own language is the basis for all development. Without proper understanding of one’s own language, one cannot get peace of mind.

Several news channels are available in Hindi. Similarly, Hindi has some of the newspapers with largest circulations in the world. However, when it comes to quality Hindi news portals, I do not see ample good options. Still, there are some very good Hindi news websites and today I am going to talk about one of these websites I have recently come to know.

According to me, HindiLok is one of the best online websites that provides news in Hindi. Unlike other websites of this vertical, HindiLok has a unique perspective and contains some of very interesting sections. Everybody would find something or the other of their interest to read and enjoy. Though, its layout doesn’t look very dynamic, still the content is very nice that gives this Hindi website a special place and wide reader base. News in Hindi Fonts

Previously, Hindi fonts were a big issue for most of the Hindi news websites. Before Unicode era, people needed to download particular Hindi font used on a website to read the content in Hindi. Even after Unicode became popular, there were and there are several websites that still are using old Hindi fonts. It creates a lot of hassle for Hindi readers and, we have every reason to believe, repels them from even those Hindi portals that have good content available.

However, this is a very good website on this front as it uses Unicode Hindi font. It facilitates readers a lot. Also, the presentation, font-size and color scheme create an overall readable content. In short, there is no technical problem with this website that I faced on various other Hindi websites and blogs.

IPL 5 has just kicked off and all the teams are ready to lock horns with each other. Though, Hindi is the national language of India and most widely spoken language throughout the country, still most of the IPL teams do not have their websites in Hindi. IPL in Hindi is something that seems a distant dream when it comes to presentation, official website, and other aspects of the tournament. Indian Premier League, as described by the BCCI officials, is a tournament that is organized to boost the prospects of Cricket in all regions of India. Even then, it is sad state of affairs that Hindi is being ignored.

However, Virender Sehwag led Delhi Daredevils understood the need of Hindi website for IPL franchise and launched one recently. Virender Sehwag said while launching this IPL Hindi website on March 21st, 2012, “Hindi is the most widely spoken language in our country and I’m ecstatic to see my team’s website in Hindi. "Hindi Blogs" is back !

After a long gap, Hindi Blogs dot com is back in a new avatar. Now you will find regular updates, lot of information on Hindi on Internet, Hindi literature, Hindi books, Hindi movies, Hindi songs and much more. This blog will serve the purpose of providing all the tools and technology related to Hindi in an easy way. Also, all the news related to Hindi will be covered here.

I started Hindi blogging way back on May 31, 2006. It was such an amazing experience to see Hindi written on a weblog and there was no need to download the fonts to read it. I was, incidentally, one of the first few Hindi bloggers and “Hindi Blogs” was the expression of my love for Hindi. With the time, Hindi Blogs dot com became a Hindi blog aggregator and given Hindi blogosphere a new venue to catch all the activities. However, due to some technical issues I had to shut down the aggregator. Similarly, blogging also slowed down and finally halted for a while. But Hindi blogs is back now with its old fervor.

I’d like to thank all the readers of Hindi Blogs for their support and love. Please do not hesitate to tell what you think and keep me updated with your feedbacks.
