Yes, I said it. Books that my family came into possession of back in the 1980s that were published in the 1890s discuss the fact that temperatures were in fact on the rise back then. Mind you this was before automobiles, air conditioning, or even electricity in most parts of the world. Then in the 1950s, scientists got together and had a huge pow-wow then too according to Time magazine and the last paragraph really sticks out:

With as much celeb news, political news, sports news, and news news as I publish, I clearly need to start a blog full of links stuff I find along with my commentary. The only reason I'm posting this is because I posted a comment that is sure to get buried. Below is the link, followed by my comments in the indent:

I would too if I'd been in the spotlight constantly since I was 17, and have had every move of the last three or four years I made further scrutinized under a microscope. Plus, we've all done some soul-searching, right? Hers is being done in full view of the world

Seeing the video on X17, something has clearly happened to her. Maybe the death of Anna Nicole Smith pushed her towards it, or maybe Lindsay Lohan's attempts at rehab inspired her to try something. Or maybe she finally sat down, read the reports about herself, and had a moment of clarity and wants to start fresh. Anybody remember Lenny Kravitz talking about cutting his dreads off, saying he felt the energy being released as they came off? Maybe she's thinking the same thing

I'm sorry, but I'm being very Ed Rooney about this. I want to see a body. The events of the past few months have just been too suspect to not put it past her to fake her death. I think this is why that guy Birkhead wants a DNA sample from the body, just to be 100% sure its her.

But for arguments' sake, let's say she really did die. That is very suspicious. I think it is definitely foul play in both her death and her son's death. And are we sure the 67-year-old stepson really died of natural causes now? Remember, the man has longevity in his family... his father was freakin' 90-something! It seems rather odd that all the people who could stand to inherit a gazillion dollars should an absolutely final court decision come down are now all dead. Well, all but one anyhow, but she couldn't touch it for another 17 years and 7 months. But whoever her father is could.

Which, again, leads us to the stalemate in the paternity case. Why stall at all? And why go to Florida and leave the infant behind in the Bahamas? What mother would leave their five-month-old a couple hundred miles behind? As long as that kid doesn't touch American soil, then no DNA sample can be taken from her, barring some extraordinary effort by the U.N. to get it, but I think they have bigger things on their plate.

Yes, and I have the fucking exclusive scoop right here!!! I can't believe how me, just some dude in the middle of nowhere, 30 miles from civilization in either direction, can get the actual scoop that the biggest band in the 70s will actually tour once again! But, after doing some digging, e-mailing, and knocking on the right doors, I can leak this EXCLUSIVE report that the mighty Led Zeppelin will fly once again. The details are still being hammered out as I write... damn I'm so excited that my fingers are shaking, so bare with my typing! No wonder its been so cold here lately! Hell has definitely frozen over solid!!! And I can't believe I OF ALL PEOPLE got the scoop! But here's what I do know:

Tapers section will be included. Will be approx. 20 feet closer than the rest of the crowd. Limited access to the friggin soundboard feeds... FOH and all available monitor mixes.
Additionally there will be a contest to see who can make the best matrixed recording of each show using all available sources. But hell with monitor mixes, you could make a motherfucking multi-track! Winner gets their CD mass-produced and a production contract with Atlantic Records!
There will be support musicians unfortunately, since that's the "in" thing with major 70s bands still touring in 2007.
The laser bow and pyramid will be used as a bridge between How Many More Times AND Dazed and Confused!!!
Songs from the aborted 1980-81 North American tour will be performed, such as Caroulselambra, Fool in the Rain, and the Yardbirds classic Train Kept a Rollin'
Special backstage access will be granted to 10 lucky fans per city!
Replacing the legendary John Bonham on drums will be a trio of drummers: Phil Collins, Dave Grohl, and Lars Ulrich, although not all at the same time. They're still working on getting Jason Bonham signed up.
All venues will have video screens. I repeat, ALL VENUES WILL HAVE VIDEO SCREENS!!! The band does plan on releasing an all-encompassing DVD set of this tour, so the band will wear the same clothes every night during each leg of the tour, not for the entire duration of the proposed 75-90 dates.

So a couple of weeks ago I checked out a site call Encyclopædia Dramatica based on hearing about it in some YouTuber's video. Well, the video in question was just simply somebody calling somebody else on the phone asking what the deal was with disappearing from YouTube. And then it hit me. Apparently the reason I haven't become even remotely world famous because of my various musings splattered across the internet for over eight years is because I've never been an attention craver! Yes, I'm using that term, since you have to be an attention craver to get attention, then you can become an attention whore. I just call things as I see them, and have been for over eight years now. I just find it amazing that some people out there are celebrities that shouldn't be. I guess ol' Andy Warhol was right after all.

Now me, if I was to try to become a serious YouTuber, I'd try to have something more thoughtful to say. Yes, I tried to do it at one point, and stopped after four videos. I don't devote my life to one site... well, Blogger, but even then I go long stretches without posting anything here! Plus I don't have all this hi-priced shit that everybody else does to make a short little video of just yammering my head off. I have a crappy little generic webcam, a microphone that came with this computer, and Windows Movie Maker. That's all I need. Plus, I'm not going to put much thought into producing something with what little I have. The one thing that makes some of these YouTube Attention Cravers turn into full-blown attention whores is that they say something stupid, get attention, and have to keep it up. Not me.

Now, time for the mandatory swipe at the site admin of a site that I will not give any publicity to, not even bad. He'll know who he is should he come across this. Dude, in the words of the great William Shatner, "Get a life!" I work a job that pays my bills and puts food in my belly. I too have a site, but I don't put much into it. I also don't fake hating a site, like MySpace, and promptly sell myself on it! I don't live off of attention, sorry.

Last thing: I understand Hollywood is running out of ideas, since they'll hire people who post mindless, senseless videos that features them either sobbing, whining, or generally getting on my nerves! Hey, give me a call, I can come up with a number of ideas rather quickly should I choose to. First up: the one about a girl who gets married way too soon, and the trials and tribulations she faces because of this error.

So, apparently a co-worker of mine has gotten her very own inappropriate picture on MySpace! She just recently uploaded a pic of herself from New Year's Eve, and set it to be her default. Well, go there now, and her default has been defaulted by MySpace to something else. Try clicking on said pic, and you get the usual MySpace error message, forwarded to tech support, etc. I'm not really saying anything, but it could be because she is not-quite-18 and is clearly not wearing anything up top! I found that a little too inappropriate for anybody to be posting anywhere. But would I report it? HELL NO! Not for the fact that she'd know where to look for me to try to attempt to put the beatdown on me. (That's be a funny sight by the way... two beanpoles going at it!) The fact is that she posted it, and like it or not, think its wrong or not, deal with it. Nothing was showing unless you count her middle finger! I guess the people at MySpace command thought it was racy... which, considering its owned by the most immoral man on the planet (Rupert Murdoch) surprises me they'd yank it. It clearly shows her near a toilet, probably just having vomited what little guts she does have up, and probably a wee bit pissed that somebody is there with a camera at that point.

Oh yeah, I'm sure I'll hear everything from, "Did you report my pic?," to, "What did you mean about you'd 'best not go there' with talking about my pic?" Truth be told I thought it was gonna cause her problems, and I was right. And oh yeah, as I told Jaime, "Of all the pics she could've posted from that night, why that specific one?"

Just a small petty issue in the grand scheme of things. I'm gonna go read my book! LOL (And P.S. all ye who watch Fox News... just my opinion, but they need to add the word 'do' to their slogan 'We Report. You Decide.' They clearly aren't professional about it, unlike CNN. Yeah, I've waited two weeks to get that off my chest.)

MySpace. I am on there all the time, so I used their blog. When Blogger went into this new phase, my BlogThis extension no longer functioned properly, and died entirely upon upgrading to Firefox 2. I now use an extension called Performancing. You might find that link embedded in a few of the early posts I used with it.

Plus, at the time, I was going through a rather nasty breakup, and figured my ex-girlfriend would be paying more attention to my MySpace than this blog, since she didn't know where it was. By the way should YouTube actually come back up anytime soon, I have a nice video from there I'd like to link in here.

But now that that is out of the way... its good to be back! Will I approach 2005's activity of 200+ posts? Probably not! I also have to get adjusted to all the little goodies that have popped up, like Digg, Bloglines, etc. Now that I kinda know what the Hell I'm doing with the page elements, that list of icons on the left is only gonna grow larger!

And last but not least... a 26-year-old boy I know up in Cleveland who runs a website I will not give any publicity for (as in, not mention the site's addy) can kiss my ass! I only wish I could get in contact with Jef from the old Yahoo Clubs I used to go to, because he would just love to have him for breakfast.

I was experimenting with going back to my old template, as I couldn't install the Technorati code at first! I toggled between my old Jacksonville template and a different template, but finally got the standard Blogger template to act right. The old Jacksonville template doesn't show links to the post; even though its on there I don't think the feature is activated right. I used to be good with HTML, but that was when HTML was relatively easy to do by hand.

Even the videos on my MySpace profile are nowhere to be found. Plus why is there no mention anywhere about this scheduled downtime?

That's right, I have finally found the damn man. Or at least somebody exactly like him. I say that because only he would be capable of juggling around women with such smoothness. Or at least, that's what I thought, until I realized... I do the exact same thing! Of course I don't take it quite to the level he did, but right now there's at least three females who I have an interest in. The crazy part is that I think all three have the same level of interest in me. That's... different! And I think number four just entered the picture. My only fear is that now old Bainbridge and/or Cairo acquaintences might be calling me up. At least there I have the benefit of about 30 miles distance, unless said distance gets closed up by them.
