It's hard to remember a total collapse like I saw yesterday. Sure Aaron Rodgers remains on the sideline but that still leaves 52 others. It was as if the Packers had eaten their thanksgiving dinner before had and were all ready for a nap.

Success always starts with preparation and a winning attitude, and keep in mind there are still quite a few players who were part of the Super bowl winning team of 2010. So it's not like they don't know how to win, but it's as if they no longer care to win. This is the same defense that earlier this season looked as if they were starting to turn the corner.

With the absense of Aaron Rodgers to lead the Packers, it just goes to show how the lose of one person can affect a team. It's hard enough for players to even get into the pros, let alone be one of the top performers. But the problem for the Packers lies in the number of injuries suffered before and during this season.

Personally I have to question the physical preparredness of the team. With all the hamstrinp problems especially. One of the main problems is the players are getting bigger and faster which in turn causes massive collisions between players.

I hope Rodgers makes a wise choice when it comes to returning at the proper time. As it stands right now even if he did return this season, their chances of making the playoffs or going anywhere if they do make it look remote at best.

I don't know what it will take buy somehow the training regiment has to included preventative measures to help curb the number of injuries.

Myself like many of you have been spoiled by the success of the Packers thru the Favre and Rodgers years, but now at least for this season the hopes of going after another Lombardi trophy seem remote at best.

The good news is Rodgers should have many successful years ahead of him yet, but this doesn't seem to be one of them. It's hard for a car to run if the spark plugs are missing and the same can be said for football. When you core players are hurt and unable to contribute it really makes it hard to just say next man up.

Hopefully Ted Thompson will find a way to beef up the defense so is the offense has a bad day they can help. In my mind we shouldn't have let Nick Barnett or Cullen Jenkins go! Sometimes a winning football team is like a finely tuned car, you mess with the spark plugs and all of a sudden you have problems. Maybe we should try to trade Matt Flynn for a number of draft choices that we can use to help build the defense back up.

It takes time to learn how to become president

So here we have it every four years the United States goes thru the ritual of electing a new president. I don't care what party your from or what you beliefs are no person is really prepared to face the daily barrage of problems and duties a president must carry out. Most of the really great presidents didn't always get off the a fast start. Take the example of Abraham Lincoln. In the first couple of years he was stumbling around like a blind man and then with purpose he took control of the civil war and what it meant and became one of the cornerstones of American history.

Big game on Thanksgiving

It's been a long time since a meaningful game has been played on Thanksgiving day. The problem in dealing with Iran is the fact that if they don't already have nuclear wepeons capability they are certainly getting close. Iran is a problem that just won't go away and it make to military action to put a clamp on these idiots. Anybody that totally rejects the idea of the holocaust is either smoking some bad weed or is simply looking for trouble. Keep in mind Israel is keeping a very close eye on Iran knowing that the safety of their country is fragile and having someone like Iran who would like nothing more than to obliderate you from the face of the earth would make anybody a little nervous.
Take the presidential campaigns. These guys are so busy playing oneupsmanship that sometimes they sacrifice the truth for speed.

If your not in the loop as far as keeping abreast of all the current happenings in politics then you would be hard pressed to get the real truth from the press. We'll see how the Packers react to being world champs knowing every other team is licking their chops at a chance to beat the world champs. Rodgers is still a young QB and the receiving core is one of the best if not the best in the game. The real question is the defensive line. I hope some of the young guys can step up to the challenge.

So for all you Packer fans get ready for some exciting football!!!

My take on Ted Thompson

I may live in northern Indiana, but all and all I think Ted Thompson has done a good job. I guess it's easy to set back and second guess all the choices these guys have to make, but the truth is the Nfl is loaded with surprises. Every time a player lines up could be his last play. Football is a violent sport with the players getting faster, larger and stronger. I personally don't miss Bret Farve and glad to have someone of Aaron Rodgers quality to take his place.

Can't wait til new season starts

This to me is like the dark ages. The time between the end of the Nfl season and the beginning of training camp. I used to be a big baseball fan but they play way too many games. Besides when the weather is nice who has time to set inside and watch tv.

Packers still made the right choice

Like many other Packers I had my reservations about the QB position. But even after the loss to Dallas, I feel the Packers did the right thing. In all likelyhood this probably will be Dallas' year, so we let Aaron Rodgers get his feet wet and build up his confidence and gain game experience, then maybe next year or the year after we will be knocking at the door again.

Remember in the Nfl you can go from hero to zero in the blink of any eye today. I think the Green Bay Packers have the right brain trust in place to make them winners for many years to come. They understand the ebb and flow of today's game and know when to cut ties and when to make the right choices

Nightmare over in title town

Finally some degree of nomallcy will return to the Packers training camp. The fact that one man tried to make himself more important than the game itself should not be forgotten. Many people have tried to blame Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy. The fact is no one tried harder to make this thing work than those two guys.

Brett Farve ment a lot to the history and tradition of the Packers, and that will not be forgetten. But the idea that he expected the team to drop everything and bow down to his demands was over the top. I hope he gets what he wants with the New York Jets, but only time will tell. That fact remains that for the last four years Farve has held the Packers hostage will pondering whether or not he still wanted to play football. Now the Packers can consider this a fresh start and move on. Whether the outcome is good or bad, at some point Farve wasn't going to be with Green bay. This is part of the right of passage, good luck to Brett Farve and go Packers!!!!!!!!
