Carnival Themed Candy Labels in Action!

Just wanted to share some client photos featuring My Lady Dye Carnival Candy Labels - candy jar and tented style labels. She used them to top off her over-the-top Carnival themed dessert table for her daughter's 1st Birthday! It was a fabulous table, as you can see! Loving all the fun details, colors, and goodies! Each label was personalized in her desired candies and goodies.

A Simple, Chic, and Fun Wedding Stationery Collection!

This new wedding stationery collection is called The Jennifer Collection! It's simple, chic, and so much fun! The Bride and Groom's soft and sweet color palette consisted of lavender, eggplant, silver, and ivory. The collection features fun whimsical scrolls and we added some contrast with a touch of a geometric pattern, as used on the petal cones.

This collection includes a wedding program, table names, luggage escort cards, petal cones, tented signage, and candy jar labels.

The program is a double-sided card detailed with a satin ribbon bow on the front side. The ceremony and the wedding party text is on the front and thank you notes to friends and family and to parents on the back. There are many styles of programs!

The tented, double-sided table names feature memorable places/locations of the Bride and Groom. This is a more personable way to address the reception tables, in lieu of the typical and standard table numbers of 1, 2, 3, etc. Check out more table numbers!

The single-sided escort cards were designed to look like luggage tags, with guest names labeled as "passenger" and each with a specified "destination"! There are so many fun ways to display these luggage tags! They are detailed with a satin ribbon tie, so you can hang them from a line of twine or tie them to a favor gift. The large petal cones are perfect for the aisle chairs at the wedding ceremony. Tie them to the end chairs so guests can grab one and toss the flower petals at the end of the ceremony! Each cone is personalize with a special message so guests are informed of the fun activity at the end of the ceremony! These cones are also available in a MINI size and are also available with or without the hole punch and ties. You can also use these cones for candy or popcorn! Place them at the candy station so guests can fill the cones with an array of candies and be off to mingle with others at the reception. Without the holes and ties of course! The tented single-sided signage was designed for their photo booth and candy station. These are nice touches to help inform guests. See more signage!

The candy jar labels are designed to be ribbon tied onto glass candy jars. Candy stations are so much fun! Check out other candy jar labels!

Instead of “Old No. 7”, try the “New No. 011213”! It's an award winning Signature Blend! The Signature Blend, aka The Savannah Collection, is a unique design as it incorporates wedding and branding by featuring fun twists to the signature branding used on the Jack Daniel’s whiskey bottle label. For example, instead of "Sour Mash", the design has “Sweet Mash”, and “Distilled and Bottled By” The Smithson AND Braddock Families (the names of both families). The "No. 011213" represents the wedding date of the Bride & Groom-to-be! It’s a unique and fun way to BRAND your wedding in style! See my other wedding invitation designs!

The design features a personalized monogram which includes the Bride and Groom's last names and their last name initials. “Love and Loyalty Since 2008” represents the year the Bride and Groom met and “Aged and Matured in PA” represents where their love has grown and matured.

The Fancy Flourish Collection

The Fancy Flourish Collection is a modern and elegant collection. It is reminiscent of abstract florals with its swirls and circular forms. See another fancy flourish look in a menu card design and a flourish look in a save the date design.

A client fell in love with the Fancy Flourish place cards and wanted me to design matching stationery for the bridal shower she was hosting. She ordered favor tags, escort cards, “thank you” cards, recipe cards, wish cards, tent cards (as signage) and labels for the wish jars.

Her color palette consisted of a bold and vibrant combination of purple, dark purple, medium lavender, deep vintage rose, medium pink and white. The color combo/color palette is called "Michele". This is a beautiful mix of colors - very feminine. See other escort card/place card designs.

Wish cards and wish jars were placed at each table. After the event, the wish cards were gathered and given to the honoree as a gift. These cards featured a simple monogram in the honoree's initials. The tent card for the wish jar display read, “Please share your best advice and wishes for the future Mr. & Mrs.” and the tent sign for the recipe card display read, "Please leave your recipes for Rose".

The Thank You cards were designed similar to the wish cards, with the addition of a graphic border added to the design as well as only featuring the honoree's first name initial. The cards are blank so Rose can write her personal Thank You message to each of her guests.

Tent cards were used as signage and placed at each accent area/functional display, which included a wine cellar display and a recipe card display. Wish jar labels were designed to hang from jars in which the guests placed their wish cards. The personal recipe cards were another great gift given to the honoree. All these stationery items added that extra special personalized touch to the event, as well as seamlessly carrying the Fancy Flourish theme throughout.

The elegant escort cards are embellished with 2 colors of rhinestones - purple and lavender. The favor tags also featured a rhinestone detail.

The Seashell Collection

The Seashell collection was a bespoke design for a client whom wanted the entire stationery collection designed with a seashell graphic. All these paper items were used in her "style" shoot in Hawaii! With an amazing location and creative freedom, the design came to fruition with ease and enjoyment. This stationery collection features a wedding invitation suite, place card, table number card, menu card, favor tag, and candy jar label.

The collection was designed in a fun and fresh color palette of candy pink, lime green, and chocolate brown. See the Shabby Starfish Collection for another display of a bright fun colored ocean themed collection.

The organic silhouette of a seashell, abstract wave graphic, and clean line from the graphic border, are simple design elements that tied the entire collection together. And with the use of various font types, we add the element of fun! See this Starfish Collection for another beach/ocean themed look with a more natural organic feel. The invitation suite features a layered invitation card and layered RSVP card, with custom printed envelopes, and matching envelope liner. The envelope liner displays a personal monogram which adds that extra special touch to the invitation. See how I personalized our own save the dates with a custom envelope liner.

Custom printed envelopes carry on the theme with matching fonts and graphics. Each guest name and their address is printed on each invitation envelope, along with printed return address on both envelopes (invite & RSVP).

Also, having both English and Hawaiian languages on the RSVP card uniquely spiced it up! Every detail can be customized/personalized to fit your needs - colors, wording, etc!

This collection is perfect for any destination wedding or beach/ocean themed wedding or event! Additional stationery such as a seating chart or favor stickers (or whatever!), can be designed for this collection or any of my other collections. I have many different invitation designs! Shabby Starfish Collection - Wedding Stationery

This collection was designed for a bride that fell in love with my Shabby Chic and Starfish collections. I was flattered to hear her excitement. We started the collaboration by meshing the two collections together to create a brand new collection called the Shabby Starfish! The light airy colors and whimsical design is sure to bring a smile to your face, as it is all the shabby and chic. It is simple, elegant, and fun too! The Shabby Starfish is the perfect collection for any bride who wants to take whimsy to the beach on her special day!

The Shabby Starfish collection features place cards, favor sticks, and wedding programs.

The place cards were designed to be attached to individual starfish that the bride set on each table setting. What a unique way to make the place cards special! If you're looking for a more typical style place card, the Shabby Chic place card is a great example.

The favor sticks were designed to be placed inside individual small white metal pails filled with assorted colored jelly beans. The favor sticks feature a monogram on the front side with wedding date and the bride and groom names. On the back side, there is a “Thank You” note. This detail can be made with your personal monogram and any quote or message. Another unique touch to the decor/stationery! See this link for more favor ideas.

This collection also featured pretty rhinestones that were placed in the center of the starfish graphic. The wedding program is a flip-book that also features a rhinestone. The style and format of this program is exactly the same as the Shabby Chic program. A few other signage elements were designed such as a layered card that she tied to a white vintage birdcage, labeling it as her gift card holder! Signage is a nice detail to add to any wedding or event!

The choice of decor used with the stationery added to the overall “beachy” feel. This dreamy collection is displayed in a popular wedding color palette of white, beige, gold, and shades of pink. However, it can be modified to fit any colors you wish! This was a fun project for me, so if you are undecided between collections, no worries! Crystal Embellished Vintage Modern Damask Wedding Invitation Suite! Modern, Elegant, & Fun!

This wedding invitation suite is especially close to my heart because it was a custom design for my little brother and his sweet fiance! They gave me total freedom to design away and without question, "I commenced with enthusiasm!". Keeping in mind, their bold color palette of black and white, with accents in red, my creative journey lead me to a canvas of damask scroll work and an array of mixed font types.

This Crystal Embellished Vintage Modern themed wedding invitation set is "The Jenley Collection". It's a GUARANTEED jaw dropper, according to all of their guests, whom ramped and raved! Likewise, the Bride & Groom were VERY happy with My Lady Dye! The modern yet elegant design incorporates various damask scrolls and a heart graphic. The design has a funky feel with the fun and interesting mix of script and block type fonts and a classic elegant feel with the use of crystal and satin ribbon. Little design details such as font choice may seem minute, but when paired with bold graphics in an innovative layout, the end result is undeniably "mod". And the vintage feel is reflected in the style of scroll work chosen.

The invitation suite features a square crystal embellishment with wide satin ribbon detail. This 5 card set is organized in a 5 x 7 inch vertical pocket-fold. The suite includes Invitation, RSVP, Hotel, Directions, and Reception cards. The intricate design of the enclosure cards allows for an ascending staggered "pocket". When the cards are presented together, they display one composite, clean, and elegant damask graphic. When guests unveil each card from the pocket, they are then introduced to and entertained by a totally different graphic design.

The theme is carried onto the envelopes as well. Both envelopes are addressed with a printed return and/or delivery address. The invite and RSVP envelope both display a custom monogram that was designed for the suite. This detail adds continuity and personalization. There are so many ways to personalize envelopes! This is another great and fun way to excite your guests. Even more important, it will be their first impression to your invitation suite! And you can't have a custom invitation design without a full matching stationery set! A Colonial Historic Themed Save The Date!

Another custom project landed at my finger-tips by way of an old childhood friend! Now a Bride and excitedly engaged and very ready to be happily married, she ventured into the artistic hands of My Lady Dye for her custom wedding stationery needs! She did not know exactly what she wanted and being a carefree Bride, she allowed me to have creative freedom and was open to any and all my ideas and suggestions. When she informed me on the unique venue they chose to get married at, I immediately suggested we reflect the charm of that venue in their Save The Date.

The venue, Joseph Ambler Inn, has colonial history dating back to 1682 with William Penn as the owner of the land on which the Inn now stands. It has much to offer from unique architectural character to a vast landscape of natural, as well as amazingly kept/manicured grounds and gardens. It has many fabulous features and details such as wood, stonework, masonry, pavers, and a unique color palette of browns, cream, light yellow, black, rusty orange, deep red, and greys, all of which caught my "design eye". Especially, the venue's logo of a carriage. A historic property that is formal yet whimsical with all it has to offer and having been renovated over the years with many new additions and amenities, the venue is a prime location for any fabulous wedding event!

Now, enough about the venue! Though, it is in these details that truly help inspire a Designer. With a complete vision of the venue, the design evolved into a formal yet fun colonial design with a historic feel. The Save The Date features a back-splash of vintage filigree (reminiscent of vintage wallpaper), the use of a nature-based and earthy color palette, and the all-important symbolic graphic of the carriage, all of which was combined with ornate graphics and matching font types, to truly reflect the character of Joseph Ambler Inn.

This Save The Date card is an A2 size (typical Thank You card size) with coordinating envelope and it is available in any color(s) of your choice! Vintage Modern Wedding Invitation Suite with a Touch of Whimsy!

This Vintage Modern wedding invitation suite was custom designed for a local Nashville Bride & Groom! It was a DIY (Do-It-Yourself) order, where I designed and provided the client with high resolution digital files so they could print and assemble the invitation suite on their own. Their color palette is dark charcoal grey, "azalea" (a deep pink/fuchsia color), and ivory. Both the Bride and Groom are very fond of Hatch Print style and wanted a nice mix of fun vintage fonts, with great attention to the overall color mixing/matching, spacing, and layout.

This couple knew exactly what they liked and did not like, which is always helpful to know when doing a custom design. They sent me CMYK color codes so I could design the invitation suite to their specific wedding colors and they informed me on the style of pocket-fold they had already ordered, so I could design the cards accordingly per the correct dimensions/layout/orientation to the pocket. They also emailed me inspirational images to ignite my creative juices. So, with all this great info, their design came to fruition as Vintage Modern, with a touch of "whimsy"! To satisfy both male and female tastes, the vintage and abstract florets in the graphic scroll work added that touch of whimsy without being too "girly".

It was an exciting wedding invitation suite to design, as it allowed me to play with many font types, font sizes, spacing, color placement, and overall layout. This 5 card invitation suite is a square pocket-fold style and includes invitation, RSVP, Reception, Accommodations, and Directions cards. After satisfying their order (to design the 5 cards), I continued the design process so I could introduce to you a complete invitation suite. Hence, I designed a personalized monogram detail on the front of the pocket-fold and 2 custom printed envelopes. The invite envelope uniquely features both the delivery and return addresses (front and back envelope printing) and the RSVP envelope uniquely features the delivery address. The design features both matte and metallic finishes, with the envelopes and cardstock layered behind the invitation card being the only metallic details in the invitation suite.

The Directions card is a Map card that features a digitally enhance map showing the wedding ceremony, hotel, parking, and reception locations, to help guests visually learn the area and so they can accurately reference the different points of location. It's also a nice touch to the invitation suite, as it adds that extra artistic flare and detailing, that can be as playful as you want it by adding fun color(s), symbols, graphics, and fonts. Likewise, you can never have too much information in your wedding invitation set! I say, "The more, the merrier!".

All details of this invitation suite are fully customizable in any color(s) of your choice! This design can be used to inspire and create an entire matching stationery set, including seating chart, menu card, program, place card, stickers, save-the-date, table card, favor tags, favor bags, and more! Lady Dye's Personal Baby Shower Invitation - Baby Giraffe Theme!

As any first time Mom-To-Be, excitement and anxiety comes with the territory! Knowing there's a little baby girl or boy growing inside your belly, just glues a smile onto your face everywhere you go! Personally, I love every part of my pregnancy and only have 9 more weeks to go! It has been so great, easy, happy, and enjoyable :) for both me and my awesome husband! This is the best experience I have ever had and will never forget!

So, with all the excitement in the air, it's not that hard to go crazy on my own baby shower! Ha! And it all starts with a fun and cute baby shower invitation! I love the baby giraffe theme, so I just let my creative juices flow and out came this abstract yet modern and whimsical design.

It features a hand drawn baby giraffe (by moi) which I digitally enhanced and then incorporated abstract flowers, hearts, and butterflies. Next, a happy, fresh, spring color palette of light pink, lavender, peach, white, and chocolate brown. Then to add dimension, I designed an argyle pattern featuring abstract florals which adds a modern touch to the set.

The invitation set comprises of a layered invitation, custom printed envelope (with both return and delivery addresses and fun graphics), and custom envelope liner.

This is new for My Lady Dye! I am now getting into decor items! With an endless passion for graphic design and a new crave for crafty sophistication, I have now dipped my feet into the world of styling via vintage inspired decor!

In my free time, if any, I will ramble around my local areas in search for fun, vintage, modern, and unique decor items and add my handcrafted touches to them to make them elegant and spectacular! All of my decor items are great props for theme displays (weddings, birthdays, showers, parties, sweet sixteens, all events!), table settings, candy stations, guest book stations, accent areas, boutique shops, office spaces, and more!

I "dress up", texturize, and stylize each piece I find to accomplish a specific look of elegance and vintage whimsy! All the pieces you see can be slightly modified via the ribbon color used. All other details are set in stone - embellishment, etc. Also, all items are unique accent pieces and only available as 1 item, unless otherwise specified. New RE-VAMPED Style for my Fun Modern Shabby Chic Wedding Invitation!

Featuring, one of my personal favorites! I call this wedding invitation design, "Fun, Modern, Shabby, & Chic", as it embodies elegance, whimsy, and mod details all in-one! It has a fun and fresh personality with a whimsical and vintage feel which is reflected in the color palette, scroll graphics, and font styles. Topped off with a little touch of satin ribbon to add texture and visual interest and a king's crown to add some spice and regal flare! And its elegance is enhanced by the shimmer of the metallic finished cardstocks. This new re-vamped invitation set is truly one to make your guests say "Wow!" It features all the upgrades and is fully customizable to fit all your desires!

One of my favorite details is the custom envelope liner which is a great place to add a special poem, quote, iconic graphic, landmark, personal monogram, or message to your guests! Even the paper finish, paper choice, and graphic pattern can be customized, as I custom design and mount each by hand!

***A little insight on my original design: it was a "booklet" style invite where you page through the different cards in the set. It also had a cut-out RSVP postcard and a satin ribbon bow which tied the book closed. It was a great set but I needed to re-vamp it to make it more user friendly. And like they say, "Change is always for the better!" And I am a true believer in this!

This new style is an open-fold book which features the enclosure cards layered onto the actual "book cover" and "body", allowing clients the ability to take out cards from the set without sacrificing the invite's creative and artistic qualities. It's a 6"x6" square, full metallic, 4 card set, which includes an invitation card, RSVP card, reception card, directions card, and 2 envelopes in any colors of your choice. Featuring, a thin satin ribbon bow tie detail, custom envelope liner, matching typical sized return address label (for RSVP envelope), printed invite envelope, and an enticing, eye-catching monogrammed "front cover". The front flap of the invite envelope is personalized with the bride & groom's names and address and the backside has each guest name and address. This service is included in this set.

As you can see, this set features all the upgrades but we can modify to fit your budget, no prob! For example, we can use matching enlarged mailing label wraps instead of printing directly onto the invite envelopes. I insert each guest name and address on these too! Pre-cut and ready for you to stick! These labels are another one of my favorite details!

My Lady Dye Makes Generous Donation To Silver Sage Corral - Black & Red Ball 2.12.11

Last month, My Lady Dye was happy to make a generous donation to Silver Sage Corral towards their annual Valentine's Day event, The Black & Red Ball, which was held at The Farm Country Club, on February 12th, 2011, in Bandera, Texas. Thanks to Melissa Benge this fabulous event as well as many others are organized and celebrated annually! Below is alittle insight into the woman herself, the event, and the organization. As well as some great photos from the Black & Red Ball which features the My Lady Dye tented table cards that were donated. 25 of these handcrafted red, black, and white themed tent cards were donated to the event. There was a fun mix of colors, cardstock layering, varied graphics, scalloped edges, and a cowboy themed font style. An elegant and festive touch to their elegant table settings and festive atmosphere!

Silver Sage Corral feeds about 26,000 meals to seniors in Bandera, Texas each year. This small city has a population of 957 within the actual city limits, which is a big number for a "small" town and county! $5 takes care of one meal and $100 takes care of a senior for a month. "We have such a darling community center with a community garden in the center of it, a cafeteria where seniors or town people can show up and eat daily, art and yoga classes to keep them healthy and entertained, and an event room for dancing and the monthly opry," states Melissa.

Melissa is the owner of Gunslinger and is on the Board of Directors at Silver Sage Corral. "I chair this annual fundraiser event each year along with Art Crawford, a local musician and our board president. We added ten extra tables and sold out!" stated Melissa. The room was filled with supporters donning their black and red duds and dancing to the tunes of The Almost Patsy Cline Band. Food was catered by Clay Conoly of the famous The Dixie Dude Ranch, in Bandera, Texas.

Gunslinger has about 5,000 square feet of the coolest cowboy boots, hats, clothing, furniture, and accessories for both women and men. Graceful is across the street offering a little more feminine clothing in monochromatic colors of pearls, sterling, and neutral home accessories with a vintage flair! Gunslinger runs a full page ad in Cowboys and Indians Magazine each month. SUPER Cute Atlas Map/Vintage Modern/Rustic Themed Wedding Invitation

Introducing my newest custom creation, The Miriam Collection! A SUPER cute pocket-fold wedding invitation set with an Atlas Map/Vintage Modern/Rustic Theme. Client statement: "As for graphics, the scrolls are pretty as well as lace or anything a little vintage, southern, or feminine. I'm not a girly-girl by any stretch but for some reason, planning this wedding has brought out insane levels of repressed feminism in me that apparently hasn't been unearthed since I was a child wearing pink rompers!".

{How the design process started} My client provided me with her inspiration board and possible color choices and pretty much told me to "go for it"! Music to my ears of course! She also loved my sense of color and said to use whatever colors I wanted. So, with the inspiration board at hand, some research on her venue, and some insight on her personality, it all started to come together and the design went in the direction of whimsy and rustic, with touches of "girl" (Does that make any sense...? Who knows, but that's what I call it!).

The rustic touches play into part with their wedding and reception being held outdoors in the meadows of the T-Lazy-7 Ranch in Aspen, Colorado. Don't want to get you too excited but check out this amazing photo of the place! Photo by Rebecca Driscoll, 2008.

Working off an Atlas theme with vintage feel, I was dying to add fun little "accents" specific to this couple and their wedding location! The airplanes, the birds, and the map overlay are all symbolic of the couple and their wedding location. For graphics, I digitally manipulated a county map of Colorado and artistically located the venue's location on the map with an airplane flying into Pitkin County! A stylish font type to match the venue, the Colorado state bird (the Lark Bunting) to symbolize the "love birds" and to reflect the CO wedding locale, a directional compass to highlight the Atlas theme, airplanes to reflect the couples world travel, and hearts to symbolize their LOVE! FUN FUN FUN!

This wedding invitation set is a pocket-fold style invite with 3 total cards and 2 envelopes in the set - Invite, RSVP, and a Directions card. It comes with a custom mailing address label wrap, custom envelope liner, custom matching address label for RSVP envelope, and a custom personalized monogram detail. The entire set is a matte finish product but can be upgraded to a metallic finish for additional charge. More enclosure cards can be added to the set as well for additional charge - Reception card, Transportation card, Information card, etc Shop at My Lady Dye.

If you're a bride who wants to "theme" your wedding but do not know how to go about it, I recommend to think about your "likes" and reflect on your personality and your fiance's personality. This way, you can't go wrong and it all totally makes sense! As for my client, she and the fiance are avid world travelers, so the Atlas theme makes sense.

All the fun and personal touches can be modified to fit any bride's wedding details! For example, if you're getting married in The Outer Banks, North Carolina, I can re-vamp the graphics and all the little touches to fit your destination, venue, locale, and personalities! This custom design was truly a fun project and definitely inspired me to do some more "collage" type work/designs. In this design my collage style is used to reflect a vintage feel. An ULTRA Hip And Modern Save The Date Card - For Mark & Diane's (aka Lady Dye) Wedding!

Yea!!! I am E X T R A excited to introduce everyone to my fiance & I's personal Save The Date Card! Mark and I designed this card together, so it was truly custom designed by the both of us! It was designed with love and excitement for sure! For this card, we had no idea what we wanted but we both decided it had to be "hip", bold, modern, festive, and fun, with a touch of vintage! So with this in mind, the design all started at my fingertips! With our wedding colors already finalized, I sat at my laptop and started designing and playing with graphics and layout. And as usual, the design evolved and came to fruition! This is typically how all my fun and custom projects start out. It's always best to give the Designer "artistic freedom"!

And even better, with our wedding colors of black, white, and yellow, with accents in turquoise, we totally nailed the design, creating a totally "hip", bold, and modern Save The Date! With the scrolls and banner graphic our card has a touch of vintage, as it plays into our venue and fits our Nash Vegas locale as well!

We mailed these out just before the Christmas holidays, so we could hit two birds with one stone! It worked out great, as we stuffed the envelopes with our save the date card and a personal photo Christmas card! We also decided to add an insert card to get our guests E X T R A excited for our big day! We listed our "Franklin Favorites" and "Sites to See" in the Franklin area. I think for sure, we got all our guest's drooling over all the great food and drink spots!

The brilliant turquoise accent color was incorporated into the design with the envelope and a graphic border on the card. All other details were in our main colors of black, white, and yellow. We used "rays" of dots and a double-lined diamond shaped checker board grid as a backdrop. The set is designed with a mix of matte and metallic finished cardstocks. As Frances Chamberlain (my Landscape Architecture studio professor at Clemson University) would say, "All great designs should be a "welcoming" design". And such is this one, as the bold black graphics "open their arms". As Emeril Lagasse would say, "BAM"! That is the effect you get when you open and reveal this card! And that is exactly what Mark and I wanted! It's definitely over-the-top but that is exactly what Save The Dates are for! Make that first great impression!

The design is full of movement and detail and we topped it off with a festive matching mailing wrap address label and envelope liner! For our very close friends and family, we addressed the labels with their fun nicknames!

Today, I am featuring the newest addition to my birthday party invitation collection! Premiering, My Lady Dye’s 2011 signature design for Valentine’s Day! This fun, shabby, and chic holiday card was specially designed for Valentine’s Day! Cards are a great way to celebrate & keep in touch with friends, family, and loved ones! Today, many people forget to remember the importance of that old saying, "It's the thought that counts!" And with a simple holiday card or greeting card, you can put that smile on your best friend's face. A card is also a true keepsake that many will add to their scrapbooks and photo albums!
