To survive you have to be totally open to what is right, not necessarily what you want. Otherwise, you risk losing it all anyway. I call cancer a warrior’s disease. I think of the ancient Greek women known as the Amazons, who would lop off one of their own breasts so it wouldn’t get in the way of their archery bows in battle.

First IPT, First Chemo

The beauty of IPT is it uses less toxic doses of chemo. Because of the smaller doses a variety of different acting chemo drugs can be used creating a broad spectrum approach. I am getting five different kinds of chemo including Cisplatin.

The “Greek Test”

The so-called Greek test was developed by an MD to test for cancer sensitivities to various treatments from chemo to supplements. It shows various genetic variances that might make cancer resistant to certain chemo-therapeutic agents and remedies. I liken it to a “Culture and Sensitivity test” for cancer like the one used for infections like urinary tract or wounds.

The Ride Back Home

A wonderful trip cross country after the bulk of treatment. It was long but oh so beautiful that ride home. Faye and I decided to head up route 395 in Eastern California, considered the most scenic highway in the U.S.
