In 2005 Sri Chinmoy mentioned to a group of disciples that he would appreciate if somebody could create a photography magazine devoted to soulful photography. He even gave it a name: Satranga Rabi – The Seven-Hued Sun. In the meantime and already since 2 1/2 years the magazine is published 6 times a year with a specific theme each time. The current issue features FLORA & NATURE. If you love fine art photography and/or are doing photographs yourself, this is the magazine to have and to subscribe. Today it is 40 years since Sri Chinmoy visited the Jardin Botanigue in Geneva to attend a Peace Tree planting.

50 years ago, on June 12th, 1976 Sri Chinmoy visited Switzerland and planted an “Aspiration-Tree”, a Himalaya Spruce as a sign of peace and solidarity between people, humans and nature, in the park of the Rietberg Museum in Zurich, Switzerland. The video shows pictures of the tree – now and then; the soundtrack is the inauguration speech of Sri Chinmoy.

Sri Chinmoy (1931-2007) is a spiritual teacher 
who dedicated his life in service to aspiring humanity. 
With all of his soulful offerings – his prayers and meditations, 
his literary, musical and artistic works – Sri Chinmoy 
has been trying to inspire mankind. 
Sri Chinmoy wished for this periodical journal 
to offer a garland of fragrant literary blossoms attentively 
and carefully chosen from his literary works. 
He offered the name Heart-Blossoms Compendium.
Kedar Misani, himself a student of Sri Chinmoy for many years, compiles the issues and includes also unknown photos of the master as well as examples of his artwork. First time participant Alex Ramsey (40) from Ohio (USA) finishes the 29th Sri Chinmoy Self Transcendence 3100 Mile Race in 50 days 3 hours 53 minutes and 11 seconds and placed 4th. Alex has completed several of the world’s classic ultras like Badwater, Leadville, and The Spartathlon. He has a 10-day best of 623.721 miles / 1003.782k m from the Sri Chinmoy 10-day race in New York in 2024. Watch his finnish which shows pure bliss and full acceptance of Sri Chinmoy’s philosophy.
