Washed It All Away

I had a long day today. Actually it ain't actually over yet, because I still got a few more things to finish. I was running around, trying to finish all my errands for the day, while it was raining cats and dogs. Though I was busy I still can't help thinking about what happened earlier while I was in the middle of all these things that I need to complete today. Oh, for a few minutes I was able to forget about the thing, and that was when I am eating grilled chicken burrito [big grin]. As soon as I got home, I started washing the thoughts away. I washed it all away (NOT!) [big grin]. As I was washing the water containers, my mind starts to wander (again) uncontrollably. The good thing about it, I was too occupied by my thoughts I have become unaware of the time, and was amazed to see that I have washed all the 20 water containers!

Friendship

Ever since I resigned from my regular job and focused more on my business, I now schedule errands all in the same day and try to make the most out of the time I spend outside or away from my store. I have become attached to our store already [big grin]; and whenever I would be out for a long time I started to feel worried and anxious to get back home. I guess that's just normal especially if it is the only source of income that you got [wink, wink]. Anyway, about a couple of weeks ago, I had this errand day. I got out of the house at 8:30am, off to my first assignment. I finished my first assignment right before lunch time. It was not successful as I have expected it to be but anyway, I still got a long list of to dos for the day so I need to keep focused. My second assignment turned out just fine. The third one too. I had a business meeting with an old colleague. And just when I was about to leave for my final errand, my colleague started to share a story. Apparently my dear friend's been going through some family problems. I was surprised that my friend would share something too personal to me. Or maybe I just didn't expect it. Anyway, I was not able to do my final assignment for the day because I had to stay and talk with my friend. And I am glad I stayed. As I was walking home, I feel proud of myself. Proud and happy. Proud because of the words of wisdom that I was able to share to my friend (which surprises me actually, I never thought that those wise words would come out from me hahaha...); happy because somehow I was able to help my friend.

Marcus Uniforms - Dickies Scrubs

I was trying to help my friend from finding a scrub suit which she needs when she starts her hospital training or when she starts to go on duty in a hospital. Nursing is actually her second course in college. She took up business management right after high school graduation because her parents asked her too, but my friend really wanted to become a nurse. That is why now that she can support her own studies, she is now pursuing her dream. Anyway, as I was trying to find her a nice scrub suit (I was hoping to show her some photos and suggest that she just ask a seamstress to make a scrub suit for her), I came across this nice looking dickies scrubs from Marcus uniforms. The site not only offers uniforms and scrubs, you can also find shoes and medical accessories too! I showed it to my friend and she got all excited. But when she realized that we had to order the items online, she gave me a cold stare (big grin). Anyway, I just told her that atleast now, in case she'll be able to work as nurse in the US, she knows where to buy good scrubs and accessories (wink, wink).

Irony of Love

I just want to share the story of my friend. She told me that I can write about it, so now I am sharing it to you (wink, wink). Like me, my female friend is also single. She had relationships before. And her story that I am about to share is about her past boyfriend and the special someone she had right now. The special someone is not her boy friend. She adores him, but she is not sure if the guy feels the same way for her. Anyway, my friend shared a couple of instances which she finds ironic. One time she was talking to her special someone, trying hard to keep the conversation going. These are the moments when you wish would never end. And that time would stop so that there won't be any interruptions that may put it to an end. During the same moment, my friend's past boyfriend was also trying to communicate with her. As my friend put it, it was like she was chasing after this special someone and here comes her ex-boyfriend chasing after her. It actually reminded me of that scene in the movie My Best Friend's Wedding. Though we were laughing as she shares her story to me, I can feel my friend's pain. I know somehow she is affected by the situation. But I also know that she'll be fine. She's been through a lot already, and such simple situation won't get her. And besides, we are always here for her (wink).

I was doing my usual web surfing today hoping to find something about financial services when I accidentally clicked on a link or an ad [not quite sure what it is and how it happened] and ended up in a site called competition accessories. I saw this communication device that looks like a headset. Its called scala rider g9 headset, which apparently are used for helmets. I think it is for motorcycle riders who are into competition of some sort (big grin). The headset is a communication device for bike riders. Anyway, the site is really interesting. I had to check on every tab to see what's the competition accessories are all about. Boys, oh I mean, men would definitely enjoy the site. Motorcycles are like bicycles in a more elegant form (wink, wink). And motorcycle equates boys *erase* men (big grin). Oh well, there goes my research on financial services [wink, wink].

My Birthday Card

This is the birthday card my niece gave me last week (sweet!). She gave me this together with the birthday cake, she and her friend bought for me.

It is actually a musical card (not sure if that's what it is called) [big grin]. It plays the Happy Birthday song whenever you open it. The card is still on plastic. My niece did not put any personalize message on it. But that's fine, it is really the thought that counts (wink, wink).

I am back here. I know it has been a while since the last time I was able to update this blog. Pardon me my dear followers, I have been busy these last few weeks. My part-time job is really taking a lot of my time and I am beginning to wonder why I am calling it a part-time job if its taking much of me [big grin]. I am not complaining; I am just sharing. Anyway, as I was busy doing my research about money changing, remittance center and pawnshop, I came across this site called Golden Eagle Coins. I think investors and collectors would definitely enjoy this site, especially those who are very much into coin collection. Found this old family photo. I think I was in grade 6 or junior year in high school when this was taken. My eldest brother was the one sitting beside me, and my Dad. My Mom and my elder brother are the ones standing. I am not sure if it was my eldest brother's civil wedding or my parents are about to go to my sister-in-law's house for the "pamamanhikan" (to implore or formally ask permission of my sister-in-law's parents for the marriage of their daughter and my brother. its a Filipino tradition).

And this one here is a photo of my nephew and nieces when they were still kids. I think this was taken 10 years ago (or more than 10 years?)[wink, wink]. How time flies.

Snow Fun - Thule Ski Racks

One of my dreams is to experience white Christmas. Actually, I would be happy enough if I would be able to see, feel and experience snow. I want to experience playing with snow, make snow angels and try skiing. I want to know how it feels to wear all those thick clothing; and see if I can be fashionable wearing them [lol]. Anyway, I came across this website called Cracks and Racks. They offer a wide range of ski racks systems. I enjoyed looking at the thule ski racks which are available on parts and on systems or packages. I am sure those who are into skiing and are looking for perfect racks systems for their vehicles would truly enjoy browsing and shopping online once they visited this site. As for me, right now I am still hopeful that I would soon experience snow and all the fun activities that goes with it. Who knows I might be able to try skiing, enjoy it and be a frequent visitor/shopper of the Cracks and Racks [wink, wink].

Nostalgic

I was checking my blogs today when I saw one of my past post. It was published four years ago, in my blog called Fragments of Thoughts..a piece of Life. It is my first blog. You can see in the post photos of me as I "evolve" (big grin). There are actually two posts I found which are all about me "evolving". First one was published in 2008 (June) and the second one was in 2009 (May). I am quite sure that I also got a similar post on 2010 (wink, wink). I will try to find it. Anyway, I am really feeling a little nostalgic lately [ok, fine, I am going to rephrase that - I am really feeling nostalgic]. I am not sure why. But lately I have been enjoying looking for my old photos, old songs, old videos and everything that has been part of my life, especially in the past. Not sure if its because it is my birth month, and I am turning 35 this year. Oh my. How time flies. And it really flies fast! (big grin). Anyway, more of these nostalgic moments posts coming soon. Watch out for it. I think my age is really getting over me (wink, wink).

My niece got a new puppy! And we named it "Jack". When they got Jack, his hair already covering his eyes and he does not smell good (big grin). Recently, we lost our puppy PeeWee (sad face). It was a sad day for everyone in the house. But now, we are happy to have Jack in the house. He is adorable and playful; especially now that his hair's been cut. My niece and her friend always play with Jack. And so far they are really doing a good job taking care of their pet (wink, wink).

Though most of the time she gave me letters on special occasions, like on my birthdays and whenever she's done something bad or she's been disobedient (wink, wink).

Juicy Wallet

I got a new wallet! My Aunt gave me a Juicy Couture wallet for Christmas. I was actually asking my cousin to buy me a wallet, but when my Aunt learned about it, she said that she'll just give me one for Christmas.

It has a fifty peso bill inside and coins [I didn't count how much].

What I really like about it are the "compartments" [as if I got lots of bills to put on it (big grin)]. And also, its pink!

Holiday Get-Together Dinner

Last week I was able to see my my old colleagues again. Apparently it was a dinner treat from my colleagues who recently decided to leave and "look for greener pastures" (big grin). Thanks guys for the treat. I think the last time we spend time together was January 2011; we had lunch together. It was actually a despedida lunch treat for me (wink, wink). Three days more and the new year is here. Happy New Year everyone! I know I was not able to make a post about Christmas. Not even a simple Christmas greeting for you guys. Sorry about that. I guess I was not "touched" by the occasion that much. Or I was not in the mood to write. It was just yesterday that I realized I was not able to share and post a lot of things that happened to me this last few weeks. Anyway, I am hoping that before the year ends I would be able to catch up with my blogging (wink, wink). And I want to start with an update about my fish (big grin). Happy New [35th] Year!

The year is almost over. And soon I will be celebrating my 35th birthday. Oh dear, I am really getting old (wink, wink). But I guess that's fine, age are just numbers (big grin). And besides, I can say that I am happy with my age and with what I have become and accomplished at this point of my life. If I'll be asked for my birthday wish, I'd say that I also would want to experience how it is to say "I have brought valentines day gifts for my husband" or "I won't be able to join you this evening, I have a date with my husband". I always dreamed of having my own family. Most of my friends are already married and already have kids. Sometimes I can't help but envy them. Though being single (and fabulous) also has its benefits; there are still moments when you wish you'll feel how it is to be part of something special; to be part of someone else's life other than your parents and family. Oh dear, I think the holiday season is getting on me now (sigh). Anyway, I am really looking forward to the new year. I feel that there's really something special in store for me (fingers crossed). Next year, 2012 is my year. And I am claiming it!

I don't know exactly how to start with this. All I know is I can't find the [right] words to say. I wanted to share it to the world. Something that I am happy about. Something that [would] definitely change[s] everything. I suddenly felt old upon saying that. Old - matured? (big grin) Or probably I never imagined myself actually dealing with life with all its possibilities and complications (wink, wink). And there are still times when I feel that I am still naive with a lot of things about life. I am very thankful with all the things that's been happening with my life. I am very grateful for all the blessings from our dear God, considering that I was never a good person.. but sometimes I have a good heart (big grin). I still feel scared and insecure. The uncertainties remain. But I just try to keep in mind (and focus on it) that I am loved and cared for; and that I am now a part of something really special. Keeping the faith and trust.
