Today is the last day of 2019!!! And it's snowing in my neck of woods. I planned on going to get some stuff but it's too cold. So since we're stuck in our house today I had a good time taking photos with my birds (watching them it made me smile). And for the first time ever I have a Cardinal that is FAT! I think I feed them well he is huge!

Wow it's been awhile I haven't posted anything here. I kind of missed it but life is life. Oftentimes, we have to focus on important part that was and is happening in our life. And that is what I was basically busy these past few months. I have been taking care of myself these past few months and so my husband too. Last weekend, we went to Dow Gardens. It's a new garden situated in Midland, Michigan and it is quite new they just opened the place last October of this year. When we were there we stroll around the area, though it's kind of chilly I made it. I thought I may have a bad breathing due to cold wind but I was doing fine. I even like to walked further but hubby surrenders, he had a bad ache. So we went to the Café and get some coffee and cookies. I love weekend getaways!

It says when you see these poles it means you are about to change steps and the floor change.

Aunt Mary's Peonies

Aunt Mary is gone for two years now and she never saw her peonies bloom in my garden. Yesterday, I went outside to check on my veggie garden, I saw peonies! It's been more than 5 yrs since she gave this flower to me. I think this is one of her well kept peonies from generation. I have pink peony like this one in front of my yard. But Aunt Mary's peonies has a sweet smell compare to mine. So keeping this old peony and I may transfer some of the voluntary sprouts.

Today, I made a chicken spring roll. I had an extra chicken breast from the whole chicken the other day so I grind it, roll then fry. Yum!

Happy New Year everyone! So today is the second day of the New Year. Here in my neck of woods it's very cold. And I have cough since before Christmas. These is always what happened to me when I go shopping in holiday season. Anyways, today I started to clean up and do some laundry then I remember I have a diffuser!! I know it will help my cough so I took my Eucalyptus and Lemon essential oil, mixed it with the water and diffused. Almost immediately I feel good. I have not cough!! You all have to try diffusing essential oil, it works.

When I was in the Philippines for more than a month it feels great but every time I remember some of my vegetables and fruit that is ready to harvest I was kind of a little bit sad. But when I arrived from a long vacation I checked all my vegetables and fruits and voila the only one left for me to harvest is my small tomatoes. Sweet!!

My Baguio, Philippines Trip

Hello everyone!! Yes I am still alive and kicking life is too good to be left behind at this stage. Even with my ups and down my humps and mountain that I've been through I made it all the way with the help, support and love from my generous, kind and loving husband. Without him I am nothing in my quest to get back to my up beat healthy life.

Last month, hubby and I decided to have a month long vacation to the Philippines. I have not been to the Philippines since last 2013 and it is over due now. So I decided to purchased a plane ticket online of course my first choice is Delta airlines so if I go last August 23 to PI.

The first Sunday I was in Baguio we went to hear mass at the Lady of Atonement. It was a good day since I arrived it rained a lot.

So I did order my first Erin Condren planner/journal and I do not like it!!! Well the reason that I bought this is I thought this is made in the USA. No it is not, it's a dupe that it says Made in USA and the stuff that I purchased are Made in China. Second, reason is I thought I like the layout, no I do not, The printing inside is too light not even dark. So I bought another planner which I so like and I only pay it for $13.00 compare to Erin Condren $50 including the upgrade. Love my Michaels Recollection planner but stuck to Erin Condren since my brain cannot processed that I have to ditched a $50 planner, hayz!!

Hello bloggers!!

So hubby and I went to Cracker Barrel to ate breakfast. And mind you people we have to drive at least 30 minutes, but it is worth it anyway I like their food it is like made by Grandma. After we ate, I was browsing the store and voila I found Ree Drummond Pioneer Woman recipe book. I browsed it and I loved what I see, I bought it.

My Review: I am impressed of the quality of this recipe book. I love the red maroon like color on the cover. The inside is fantastic, I love it. I can tell a lot of brainstorming was done here and Ree is indeed a blogger. Lol. Her way of talking is like a blogger do at her blog page hahaha. I highly recommend this recipe bloggers and mind you I already cooked Italian Meat Loaf and it is fantastic!! Next time I will cook will be the potato soup!

Look at the layout...isn't that so beautiful. (I read that Ree is the one taking photos of this one and I am too a photographer.) I am a visual person and having these all in a recipe book is fantastic!! Love the colors, the page is glossy and quality wise it is sturdy. Instruction in photos? Can't beat that!!
