This is more of a vent than a post. lol But I can't help it. I am so aggravated!

My husband has been having problems with his back. Ok they did an MRI on him and found he has arthritis in his lower right back side. Well, it hurts, unbelievably hurts him daily. They gave him pain pills that really don't kill the pain and they gave him muscle relaxers and all that does is MAKE HIM SLEEP! This is the vent part!

I'm so tired of him sleeping! I asked him nicely to stop taking the muscle relaxers and he did. Today, he took one! He knocked out for 6 hours and I finally got him up to take his BP meds and eat something and he said he just wants to lay back down and go back to sleep! I thought meds were suppose to help you get better, not knock you out!

He doesn't go back to the dr until next month, I'm making the appointment for the beginning of November so we don't have to play this game any more! I want a referral to a dr who specializes in arthritis. I'm guessing he has Rheumatoid or Fibro. Just because he has other symptoms that point in both those ways. All the dr said the MRI said was arthritis, so when I point out his other problems and ask her if they could be related to one of those, I hope she says yes! My neighbor thinks he has Rheumatoid, I think it's possible Fibro.

I didn't think it was that hilarious, but I was laughed a few times! lol

This is what happened when an elderly Oregon couple tried to take a picture of themselves using their new laptop's webcam. Instead, however, they unwittingly recorded a hilarious video of themselves (scroll down to see the video). In it, 86-year old Bruce Huffman burps, makes faces, and shamelessly flirts with his 79-year-old wife Esther who ignores him while she tries to figure out how to take a photo. Esther was especially perplexed when she saw an error message pop up that read, "'warning you must stop recording before trying to close.'" Esther went on to say, "Gee but I don't know what I'm recording. Shucks." For one fleeting moment, Bruce almost figured out what was going on when he sais, "maybe it's recording us?" Unfortunately instead of exploring that possibility they moved on to another topic: their wrinkles. Apparently, their granddaughter had tried to teach the charming couple how to use the webcam. When the granddaughter was on the new computer a few days later, she found the funny video and posted it to YouTube. The Huffmans are now Internet sensations. Not only has their video been viewed more than 2 million times, but they've appeared on several television news shows.

Remembering 9.11

When I think of the 9.11 Tragedy, I think of everyone who had a life changing effect. One person who remains in my heart and my mind is someone who was my best friend almost 20 yrs ago. Her son was like the son I never had (only have my daughter). He enlisted after 9.11. Told his mother he'd be OK he was driving one of those trucks that was suppose to be resillant to fire! Well, his platoon was ambushed on June 26th, 2004 and we lost him! Army Spc. Jeremy M. "Ketchup" Heines was 23, of New Orleans; assigned to Company C, 1st Battalion, 9th Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas; killed June 26 when his patrol came under attack by rocket-propelled grenades and small-arms fire in Baghdad. He left behind his wife of only 1 year, his sister, his brother, his step brothers and sisters, his adopted sister my daughter and his parents and me! We all love and miss him every day! Yes my friend wasn't directly impacted on 9.11, but she lost her son because of it! God Bless You Jeremy and your family! We'll see you again someday sweetheart!

Will Someone Please Put That Marsh Fire OUT!

Ok so there is a Marsh Fire in Eastern New Orleans. I believe it started Sunday, not quite sure on that. Anyway, yesterday morning when my husband left for work, we smelt something burning, and the streets looked a bit hazey. I told him it may be that Marsh Fire, he thought I was wrong, but the news proved me right! HEHEHE

Anyway, On the news they said with the wind, cities that are not near Eastern New Orleans will see the smoke and smell the fire. There is also an air quality alert because of it! Anyone with Asthma, Bronchitis or Long problems should stay inside, so I stayed in doors yesterday except to go get the mail and it was hard to breath with that smell! People with Asthma and Bronchitis can't inhale that without feeling sick! That's my husband and myself! When he came home yesterday, he was ok, told me he had no problems breathing.

This morning all seemed fine! He came home for lunch, I opened the door and there it was smokey streets and that nauseating smell! So he come in I fixed lunch and when he left to go back to work, it was worse! I inhaled and started chocking! He called me to see if I was OK because he knew it was from all the smoke! Anyway, now that smell is in my HOUSE! I keep a clean smelling house and now all I smell is smokey crap! :(

They are waiting for either rain or for it to burn itself out! What if it doesn't burn out? I'm praying for a storm tonight, I can't handle this smell much longer. It's just not tolerable!

Beyonce, the 29-year-old singer, was seen with a baby bump at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday and reportedly confirmed the pregnancy at the event.

Beyonce's spokesperson confirmed that the singer is expecting. This is the first child for the singer and her husband, rapper Jay-Z. The couple wed on April 4, 2008. They managed to pull off such secret nuptials that no photos or video from the event were released. The couple got married with a close circle of 40 friends and family members after dating for six years.

Loosing Weight.

I know there are several of us out there who want to or need to loose weight. I've been one for a few years now. I want to loose 25 pounds! I thought after I had surgery, I'd loose, but I didn't! Now 7 months and 1 week later, my weight is fluctuating and I can't get below 143 lbs! That's only 5 lbs lost!

What am I doing wrong? I know one, I don't exercise. lol That's perhaps my biggest problem. I sit on the sofa, laptop in my lap, and work on my bargains4wahms blog. I read somewhere that you do burn calories doing that, not sure if that's true though.

What I know I am doing right is:
I have a banana for breakfast, along with my 2 cups of coffee. When hubby is off work, we usually have eggs or cereal or something more substantial for breakfast.
Lunch is either a sandwich, tv dinner or something left over from dinner during the week.
I've started eating fruit for snacks. I usually have grapes or strawberries
I drink flavored water, no sugar, no calories
I drink sugar free pink lemonade or tea
I may treat myself to a glass of Coke during the week, but not as often as I would normally drink it
I'm trying to keep to a 1200 calorie per day limit.

Not sure why I can't go below 143, but I am trying my hardest! Going to get a new pair of Jeans on Friday (Free from Old Navy thanks to a friend), I just hope I can find a pair that fits me right in all the right places!

We Paid Off A Bill!!!

Last month I posted that we were working on getting out of debt. You can read about that here. It's really happening! Check this out! :)

Last week we paid off our washer and dryer! I was jumping for joy! I couldn't believe it, one bill down and a few more to go! I felt like I could finally start breathing a little. This was a weekly payment and now it's gone!

Our other bills to get rid of is our 42" TV
My laptop
Both will be paid off before Thanksgiving! The TV will be first then the laptop.

Then there's our 3 credit cards! Yep we have them. I don't mind though. They have actually helped my husbands credit score come up and we are paying them on time. So they aren't a problem for now. I do want to pay them off as soon as possible though.

What about you? How's your getting out of debt coming along? Are you starting to breath a bit?

10 Tips for Making Life Easier and More Efficient While On The Go

Socialmoms and Seattle's Best wanted me to post on 10 things that make my life easier and more efficient while on the go. While I don't have little tikes to tote around, I still get pretty busy at times and when I have to leave home at an early time, I make sure I grab a Seattle's Best Iced Latte!

My husband and I set up our dr's appointments for early morning and if we are grocery shopping, we try to get out early to beat the heat. On July 1st my husband had an MRI appointment for 7:30 am, no time for coffee, so I grabbed a can of Seattle's Best Mocha Iced Latte (reviewed here) to drink on the way. I'm actually addicted to these! They are low in calories and very affordable!

Ok getting back on the subject

Here are my 10 tips on making life a bit easier.

1. Start early! As I stated above, we like an early start to our day to get everything done, then we don't have to feel like our day is wasted waiting.

2. Use a day planner or calendar. I have a day planner in my purse to keep track of appointments we have and if anyone wants us to do something, I can have a quick look and see if we can or can't do it. It's so much easier to have it with me then at home on the desk.

3.Make a list of things you need to do during the week or month. I spread out my housecleaning. I know most people just want to get it done, but I do one - two rooms at a time. I only have 4 rooms to clean, so no biggie to spread it into two days! This could also fall into the category of using the day planner.

4. Have a Cell/Smart Phone. I don't have a smart phone, just a cell, but my daughter has a smart phone and she has all kinds of apps on it. She showed me all the fantastic coupon apps she has and I absolutely LOVE them! Can't wait for September, my contract is up and I'm getting a smart phone!

5. Shop Online! If you can't find it in a brick and mortar store, check online! I find some fantastic deals online that I would not find anywhere else! I just got a $40 all glass scale for $20 from Walmart.com regularly $40! Awesome deal! I've received quite a few things that were of $0 cost with the deal sites they have now.

6. Don't try to do it all in one day! My husband has 3 days off and we plan what we are doing when we are doing it spread out for 3 days as to not to over exert ourselves.

7. Keep a reusable tote in your purse or car. You never know when you may need a tote bag. I needed one the other day and I had one nice and handy in my purse. lol I have one that folds into a pocket and small enough to put in my purse. Nice for toting anything in

8. Keep your pantry, fridge and freezer stocked! You never know when you may have unexpected guests and when you get hungry, you need to feed them as well. lol We had that situation already. My daughter and her husband popped in and they stayed quite awhile! We ended up with Pizza for delivery instead of what we were going to have because it wasn't enough for 4!

9. Cook extras! When we grill, my husband always cooks more than enough so that we will have left overs. This is so easy during the week when neither of us want to cook. lol

10. Always count your blessings! I always thank GOD for my family, awesome friends and the wonderful things I can do online! I have a best friend who lives in Alabama. We've never met, but we became best friends just by talking online and on the phone. She helped me during a really bad time in my life when I had to have surgery in January 2011 and I ♥ her!

We Are Getting Out of Debt YAY!

In 2008, my husband and I moved into the house we are living in right now. Upon moving in, we had 1 little issue! We had no refrigerator, no washer and dryer and no bed or bedroom set!

Without having good credit, people are forced to go to Rent To Own places when they are in need of furniture. That's what happened to us! We were in debt up to our eyeballs with Rent A Center! Our Washer and Dryer payments are $30 per week, our bedroom set was about $35 per week and our refrigerator was around $40 per week, so that's a total of around $105 per week, or $420 a month we were paying out!

In August 2009, we managed to pay off our Bedroom set and then we paid off our refrigerator around December of 2009. After we paid off our refrigerator, the mgr of Rent A Center called and told us we had a $100 Gift Certificate to use if we wanted it. Aaron's Rents had a sale of their big screen TV's for $99 per month for 2 yrs. My husband and I had discussed getting a big screen TV and I wasn't sure I wanted one, Rent A Center does match ads and with that $100 Gift Certificate, that was a free month to see if I wanted it. So our first payment on our 42" big screen TV was in February 2010 and we are almost finished paying it off!

We are still paying on the Washer/Dryer and I'll be done paying on it by July 15th (3 yrs paying on it), then I am doubling the payments on the TV each week, making it $60 per week and will be finished paying on it in about 8 weeks after I pay off the washer/dryer.

I am so happy to feel that we will finally be out of debt! I'm paying on my laptop at Aarons, but I'll be finished by November if not sooner and that's earlier than the 1 year contract I had to pay (Feb 2012). I won't be getting anything else from RAC or Aarons after I'm done!

My husband wants us to finance a car, as much as I want to, because I know we need a car........I'm considering saying NO! I can't handle any more debt at this current time. I need a breather from bills. lol The only thing that will change my mind is if his boss gives them back their 40 hours and their 5 hours over time! That's almost $200 extra on his check and I can handle that because I haven't had that in 2 yrs, so I won't miss it! lol

Casey Anthony Not Guilty Verdict!

Casey Anthony has been found not guilty of murdering her 2-year-old daughter Caylee. The jury declined to convict her of either first degree murder or manslaughter.

Not Guilty of Aggravated Child Abuse!
Guilty on four counts of providing false information to law enforcement!

How in the hell did they get this verdict? She killed that baby! Did the duck tape just fall & stick on that child 3 times? I've got tears because that little precious girl deserved justice!

Prosecutor Jeff Ashton, who had entered the courtroom to roaring applause, sat shaking his head after the verdict.

Outside the courtroom, spectators screamed "Lord!" as the learned of the not guilty ruling.

Nancy Grace commented that this BITCH may be out of jail by Thursday! No jail time, time served!

This is a slap on the wrist! I'm so pissed off about this. I didn't watch the court on TV, I already knew she was guilty, I think every mother knows this! Her own parents walked out the court room, they didn't stay to celebrate their daughter's not guilty verdict!

A Nice Surprise From My Husband

My husband was watching HSN and found that Jennifer Lopez has a new perfume out called "Love and Light". He taped it and showed it to me. He knows my daughter is a super Jennifer Lopez fan and I'm not a super fan, just a fan. lol

He found it on again on HSN and I watched it. I heard her say "I don't like an over powering perfume" and I thought out loud "I'd love to get that, but $50 ($58 value) is way too expensive!" I'm a very frugal person and would never really consider that price for any perfume or cologne and my husband knows this. He leans over and tells me "If you want one, buy one for you and get one for T ", that's his nickname for our daughter. He then said "you know you never buy anything like that for yourself and you haven't purchased any perfume in a while".

I then picked up the phone and called the number to order 2 bottles or her new perfume! This perfume won't be in the stores until September 2011 and this size bottle won't ever be in stores, it was a special sexy 2.5oz bottle for $49.95 + shipping (3 flex plan payments of $17) for HSN customers only! I don't wear a lot of perfume and it's hard for me to find perfume I like. I'm praying that the "not an over powering" perfume quote from Jennifer Lopez is correct.

I don't buy off TV and I hardly order online, so if I am doing it, it's something my husband or I really want! I got notice this morning that the bottles have been shipped and UPS should be delivering it in about 7-10 days and I can't wait! lol I love when my husband does stuff like this. Yep I ordered it, but he wanted me too!

My husband was so excited, he had to tell our daughter, but made her guess by turning on the DVR and told her to guess. Her eyes lite up and got a huge smile when she saw Jennifer Lopez Fragrance! lol She gave her dad about a dozen hugs. Just to remind you, she's 28 yrs old not a kid. She is so excited that she'll have the perfume before anyone else and a special bottle very few will have! lol That's a special gift from dad to daughter :)

What is it with Stores and Accidents?

I went to Winn Dixie this evening with my daughter and I stepped in Water (a little bit of it). I took the napkins out of my purse and wiped off my feet and my flip flops (I didn't want to slide) and got my husband's beer from the refrigerated shelf and took about 3 steps and found a LOT more water! I slipped!

I could feel myself going back and I grabbed the basket's handle with all my power to hold me up! I was pissed because I had had a similar accident 7 yrs ago (May 25,2003) at the same grocery chain, but different store! All I could think was here we go again!

My daughter asked the person behind the seafood counter for some paper towels, told him what happened and so he called for a mgr and got me some paper towels. I again wiped off my feet and flip flops as I didn't want to slip again and continued to shop.

The MGR came and found me in the store and asked me if I was ok. I thought that was nice to have that be the first thing he asked. lol He was a young manager, but a nice one. He took the accident report, I told him I went backwards when I stepped in the water and felt myself slipping but didn't fall and I thought my back was hurting just from the strain of my all of a sudden trying to do a back flip! lol He also took my name, phone number and address and told me if there was anything I needed to call him.

My back is still hurting a bit. I'm going to take some Aleve and hopefully that helps it go away. I really don't want a redo of 7 yrs ago! I sued them and they filed bankruptcy in the process and I didn't get crap! Everyone who were suing them didn't get a dime!

So please take it from me, look down while walking in the store near refrigerated cases, because you never know when you'll find water!

REVIEW: CARS 2 is yet another winner from Pixar! My family and I truely enjoyed the movie. My husband compared it to a James Bond movie in animation! He was actually right if you think about it. International espionage was James Bond! You heard laughter not only from the kids in the theater, but from all the adults as well. This is a movie for the whole family, from the kids to the grandparents, to enjoy!

Favorite Scenes:
Mater racing to see McQueen when McQueen returns home. That was one of the funniest scenes of the movie.

Mater helping the agents! That's all I can say or I'll give it all away! lol

An awesome movie!

Seattle's Best Iced Mocha Latte Review

This morning I opened a Seattle's Best Iced Mocha Latte (they come in Vanilla, Mocha & Latte) and it was scrumptiously delicious! Just the right amount of mocha flavor and not too sweet! I just wanted to wish all the "Dads" out there a very special Father's Day! My dad has been gone for 26 yrs now and I miss him every day. My husbands father has been gone for 10 yrs. and is also missed every day. So this wish is to our fathers as well.

As you may have noticed I am making a few changes to my personal blog. This is the Thesis theme created for Blogger! I downloaded it here. It's not the thesis theme I wanted like Wordpress has, but it will do for now. lol I'm thinking about changing my bargains4wahms layout to this one too!

I'm not quite finished as you can tell the menu bar needs to be created, but I'll be done soon. Hubby's outside cutting grass, he sent me inside because of my headache, but I keep going outside to check up on him.

I'm writing about everything that happened yesterday at Walmart!

I go to Walmart to put in my husbands new prescriptions. They are closed, at lunch, so no problem. I went to McDonalds, had a bite to eat while I waited for them to come back. After eating, I go back to the pharmacy and from there it went down hill!

First of all, my husband and I have that new medicaid from Obama. It was something offered by our dr's office, not knowing it was Obama care, we signed up as this is a dr's office based on your income and everyone who filled out the paperwork got a free visit at the dr's office that day. Well, we took advantage of it because that helped us tremendously that day!

Anyway, I was told that the paper the prescription was on was not tamper proof paper or something so they couldn't do anything until Monday and they had to call the dr's office. Now for 1 that's stupid! Not everyone can wait for the medicine!

Secondly, knowing the dr's office as I do, they are NOT going to call them back ASAP! lol So I told the girl to give me back that card and gave her my RX prescription card (blue card, got it free) and asked for a price on both. She asked me to come back in 5 minutes. Ok no problem.

I go back in 5 minutes and one prescription is $40! I said NO I'll take it back and bring it to the dr's office pharmacy to fill! It's only $13 there! lol I tell them to fill the other because it's only $6!

I go finish shopping then go back to pharmacy to pick up that new prescription and my husbands blood pressure meds (I called in on Thursday evening) and was told they didn't fill his blood pressure medicine and was waiting for the dr's office to call back! That's all the girl would tell me and that pissed me off a lot! She didn't even want to ask what was up for me!

So I pick up my phone and call my husband and ask him to read to me what was on the bottle I called in and he said "Partial refill available". I said it out loud and got the pharmacists attention! The problem was they didn't know if they should fill the 20 pills he had left because it wasn't a full 30 day supply! REALLY!! You are joking right? The pharmacist asked if I wanted it filled and I said "YES, he's completely out!"

WHY IN THE HELL DID THEY NOT CALL ME on Friday instead of calling the dr????? I just don't understand! Can someone explain that to me? I have a new script, but didn't bring it with me because he had a refill on the one I called in!

I Tested Out Simply Stacie’s Google AdSense Tips & Am Getting Paid!

I decided to try out a new approach to having adsense on my blog. I read an article Simply Stacie posted about how she figured out a way to make Google AdSense actually earn money and shared it with all of us who have had no success with it.

I've had adsense installed on both my sites for a while and I've been blogging over 3 yrs now, but I've only received 1 payment in that time, which was in November 2009! When I read her article, I still had a ways to go to reach my $100 for payment, so I figured it couldn't hurt to try it!

I was anxious to see what the end of the month would hold, so I kept a close eye on my earnings from May 23rd when I read the article and did what she said to do, to the end of May. For 8 days I was praying I'd make what I needed for payment and it worked! I'm scheduled for payment by July 1st.

Wouldn’t it be nice to make some extra money? Considering my husband is the only one working any additional amount of money would be awesome. Maybe I can finally go to the dentist, help get us get a much needed car, sponsor some giveaways of my own, etc. :)

HOT! JUNE 1st and Record Breaking Heat!

I was shocked when I read the weatherbug on my laptop! I had NO idea it was that high of a temperature! We've been bouncing between 89 and 92 degrees all May and all of a sudden record breaking temperatures on June 1st! lol

My husband came home from work for lunch and was hungry, but wanted cool air and water more than food! After work, he came home, relaxed a bit then took a cool shower. He just finished eating and is hopefully feeling a lot better than he was. Every year I worry about heat exhaustion with him. He's already had it 2 yrs ago, and now I keep Gatorade and Powerade on hand because he needs it and water.

What do you do for the heat?

When I go grocery shopping, I make a list of what I need. I then look on the blogs that I follow for the Winn Dixie, CVS and Walmart deals and then pull my coupons from my binder. Before I do any of that, I check my freezers, fridge and pantry to see how many dinners I have! I must have at least 8 dinners, so if I have 6, I know I have to purchase 2 dinners on my shopping trip!

Now as of Friday, May 27, I had 10 meals that included hamburgers and chicken for Memorial day. I always look for the best deals on meat as well.

WHY is it that others who get paid every 2 weeks are not like that? I don't understand! If you get paid every 2 weeks, you should have at least 14 meals! If you don't have room in your freezer, ok keep the money in your bank account and go to the store weekly! Set a budget of all your bills and when they are due and how much is due and then you should have NO problems! My budget is all written out and includes FOOD!

Why don't people want to listen? It aggravates me so much!
