Today, Jessica Simpson was a guest. She is on a quest to find out what makes women beautiful in her new show "The Price of Beauty". Premiers tonight on VH1.

The clip they had was of Jessica eating a bug off a cart in Thiland! That's one of their delicacies. YUCK! She admited she couldn't keep it down. I don't blame her, I would have up-chucked it too!

I've read that Jessica doesn't brush her teeth!
"I don't brush my teeth. No, really! I just use Listerine -- and sometimes I'll use my sweater. I do brush every now and again, but my teeth are extremely powerful. Fine, maybe when I'm 60 I'll be all, "ow!"

Wednesday Kate Gosselin is back as a co-host. I not a big fan of hers. I wish the ladies would get some one better like maybe Sandra Bullock or even Eva Longoria Parker!

Dr. Drew Pinsky (Celebrity Rehab) will also be a guest on Wednesday's show. I bet they will discuss the recent passing of Corey Haim.

Thursday Joy will look back on some hysterical and zany moments from the past month in her “Month in ReView.” also included on the show are Spring fashions from Macys.

On Friday Olympic Gold Medalist and current Dancing with the Stars contestant Evan Lysacek will be on the show.

On March 8th Sherry did her report on the Oscar's and she is so cute when she gets excited! lol They showed her in her seat at the oscar's and when Precious won she wanted to pop out of her seat, she actually started to get up! :) She wanted to congratulate them right away :)

MARCH 10 – Guests were Forest Whitaker (“Our Family Wedding”); Jesse Ventura (author, American Conspiracies). I watched this show, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Barbara Walters criticized Ventura for his assertion that the Bush administration was somehow involved in the 9/11 terror attacks.

"That the government would deliberately kill 3,000 people, to accuse the President of this, because ... he's protecting oil interests, Governor, that's a terrible accusation to make," Walters said.

THURSDAY, MARCH 11 – Sir Elton John sat in with the women at the table and in on “Hot Topics”; Guest included Eric McCormack (“Who Is Clark Rockefeller?”).
FRIDAY, MARCH 12 – Co - Host Kate Gosselin was back and joined the women and the return of “The View: Fashion Friday” with designer Carolina Herrera.

I'm so sorry I haven't kept up with this. I have been so sick with my sinus', migraines and my eyes hurting. It was hard for me to concentrate on anything (including posting freebies, coupons and deals up on my other blog), much less do anything else including cleaning my house! Thank God I taped the episodes :)

The week of March 1st on the View were some interesting guests. I think the number 1 favorite guest for many was Robert Pattinson from the "Twilight Sega" movies. I know many women and teens love him. I know my daughter does! She also likes Taylor Lautner!

Robert and his co-star Emilie de Ravin of the movie "Remember Me" was on the show promoting their movie. Mitt Romney, the 70th Governor of Massachusetts made his first-ever appearance.

On March 3rd the ladies featured the best of "View Tube" which included backstage antics and celebrity exit interviews. Lisa Kudrow of “Who Do You Think You Are” and formerly of "Friends" joined the hosts.

On March 4th Valerie Bertinelli was the celebrity guest co-host. She was one of my favorite actresses since "One Day at a Time". Abigail Breslin from Broadway’s “The Miracle Worker” and Mia Wasikowska from Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland” Also made a guest appearance. They also had a musical performance from Broadway’s “Fela”.

On March 5th The View was all about the Oscars with a special episode called “Road to the Oscars”. Oscar nominee Don Cheadle and Wesley Snipes were guests on the show. The ladies also explored “The History of Oscar Fashions” with a two-part look at some of the most memorable (Kathern Hepburn, Betty Davis) – and perhaps forgettable (Demi Moore) – Oscar hits and misses, with celebrity stylist Robert Verdi.

Hosts of “At the Movies” Michael Phillips and Tony Scott were also there to unveil their 2010 Oscar predictions.

Corey Haim, 38, (A 1980s Teen Heart Throb) Found Dead

RIP Corey, I loved him when I was a teen! I liked him more than I like Corey Feldman. Such a shame!!

Corey Haim, a 1980s teen heart throb for his roles in "Lucas", "The Lost Boys" and Steven King's novella "Silver Bullet" whose career was blighted by drug abuse, has died of an apparent drug overdose. He was 38.

Haim died at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, Los Angeles County coroner's Lt. Cheryl MacWillie said.

Octomom Was On "The View!"

Octomom Nayda Suleman was on "The View" yesterday and all I can really say is OMG and WOW!!!

You'd think she would want to clear up a lot of the things that were being said about her and what people think of her. But, no, she acted like a nut the whole time! She NEVER fully answered their questions and that laugh, OMG it's just plain freaky! She freaked Sherry out!

I don't know who I feel bad for more, the kids or her. I mean I have 1 kid and thank God for her dad and grandmother were involved. It is hard with just 1, I can't imagine what it's like with 14 (1 with autism) and no help....6 kids before and now the 8...O MY! The sperm donor is a friend of hers and she doesn't know if he wants to have any involvement.

I suppose her being nervous had a lot to do with her speed talking. Sometimes her sentences just didn't make any sense! Whoopie was looking at her like she's crazy! lol

The ladies repeatedly asked her how she was going to support her kids financially. Now that's a very good question, but she didn't really give the answer! However, she did say something about writing a book. I hope that books sells millions!

Sherry asked how she paid for it, because insurance doesn't pay for IF (invetro fertilization) and she worked 70-80 hrs a week to save money to do it!

Look at her body? WOW! She sure snapped back!

She says "I would feel like I cheated," she tells Star. "I wanted to prove to myself that I can do it on my own, naturally. My friends call me Rubber Band because I always snapped back so quickly after my other kids!"

My opinion on the octomom:
*She needs to have her tubes tied!
*She needs to seek some professional help!

Tubes tied because
She did say "If I meet someone way later down the line I may want to have another one". IS SHE CRAZY??!!!

Professional Help because
She needs a reality check and needs to start making the right decisions for her kids.

I'm A "The View" Brand Ambassador, Hot Topics and My Views

Last week I mentioned on my Frugal blog (Bargains 4 WAHMs) that I was selected to be a Brand Ambassador for "The View! I'm so excited about this! :) You can read about it HERE.

My assignments started with this weeks shows! I get to share with you the day's shows and my view on them....isn't that nice! :)

Today was a day of hot topics. The first topic to be discussed was the Tiger Woods press conference. Now I watched it the conference and in my opinion and apparently the ladies on "The View" is that his personal life has NOTHING to do with his career! He apologized to everyone he hurt including his fans! That should be enough.

This topic is EVERYWHERE! I have read that some people are saying “Despite the decisions in his personal life, he is still the best golf player alive.” Then there are those who think “He is a horrible, and they will never support his golf career”, “He is a disgrace to golf". What does his PERSONAL Life have to do with his career??!! GET REAL people!

My opinion: I don't think his personal life needs to have so much focus. What do you think?

Today is the day that the Credit Card Reform went into effect.
Three good things about this:
*If you are 21 and under you have to prove that you can make payments or have a cosigner.
*Statements will include information about how long it will take you to pay off your balance if you only pay the minimum due.
*The credit card company must get your permission before transactions can be made that are over your limit.

Unfortunately, th new reform may not be so good for customers who pay on time or pay off the balance in full every month.
*You can be charged for inactivity.
*Some credit card companiess may start charging annual fees.

I am so glad We do not have any major credit cards. We only have a Zales card and that will be paid off by June!

My Pot Pantry has been needing a good overhall for the past week of so. Did I take the initiative when it first started to aggravate me and clean it out, NO NOT ME! I waited until it was even more messed up and I couldn't find anything in it to clean it! lol

I LOVE my house, I just wish I had a different place to store my pots. I really dislike where we have them, but there is NO where else. There are only a few cabinets and they are small in depth, so I had to just compromise on several things we have and where they are.

Name of Product: Allreds Design Baby Bracelets and Pacifier Clips

Units: About 900

Manufacturer: Allreds Design (doing business as Hidden Hollow Beads), of Fort Duchesne, Utah

Hazard: The recalled bracelets and pacifier clip clasps contain high levels of lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.

Incidents/Injuries: Allreds Design received one report of a 10-month-old child who was treated by a physician for elevated lead levels.

Description: This recall includes Allreds Design brand baby bracelets and pacifier clips. The bracelets are sold in sizes 0-6 months, 1-4 years, and 4-8 years of age. The baby bracelets and pacifier clips have crystal and plastic beads in various colors with a metal clasp.

Sold by: Resale stores and other consignment retailers nationwide from June 2008 through December 2008 for about $5.

Manufactured in: United States

Remedy: Consumers should immediately take these recalled bracelets and pacifier clips away from children and contact Allreds Design for instructions on how to receive a replacement bracelet or pacifier clip.

Dr's Appointment Is Made

Well, I called yesterday to see if there were any cancellations for Friday and guess what, there weren't any! So I had to take the Monday appointment they had opened. Apparently it was for him to get it on a Monday. lol

Anyway, I hope this solves his problem he's been having lately. He had food poisoning about 2 weeks ago and he's still having a little problem with his stomach. I don't think it's anything to worry about at least that's what I am praying for anyway. I don't think it's related to the food poisoning either.

I just pray that this will be solved with another type of medicine instead of having to go to the hospital for testing. They NEVER give appointments for that on the days you can go, they give you the appointments they want to give and I don't think that's fair. My husband can't miss work right now. His work just cut hours last month and was making noise about layoffs again (they did layoffs last Feb)!

Doctors and Appointments!

Why is it when you need an apointment to go see the dr there is NEVER anything available!? I just called my dr to make an appointment for my husband, who is also seeing my dr and there are NO appointments available!

I told the girl I needed an appointment for Friday, my husband is having an stomach issue and he won't go to the ER for it! He doesn't like nor trust those dr's, he only trusts his dr and to tell the truth, I don't blame him!

He had an asthma problem just after Christmas! Went to the ER on the 28th of Dec. Waited until Jan 8th to see our dr and he continued to have the same issue with not being able to breathe well! He REFUSED to go back to the ER because they did NOTHING for him! Our dr gave him 5 different meds to take and he was better within 2 days! lol So you see why he won't go to the ER!

I was told we could walk in and see if there are any cancellations and I told the girl that was stupid! lol I'm not going to get there for 9am and stay the day waiting, that's INSANE! My husband would not sit there he'd complain the whole day and be very pissed off at me for doing something so foolish! So I told her I'll just call back on Wednesday and see if there were any cancellations.

I'm praying for someone to cancel today or Wednesday!

'Deadliest Catch' Captain Phil Harris Dies At Age 53

Sad news this morning: Phil Harris, captain of the Cornelia Marie fishing boat featured on Deadliest Catch, has died in Alaska. He was 53.

The Captain suffered a massive stroke on January 29,2010 while the Cornelia Marie was in port at St. Paul Island, Alaska. He was flown to Anchorage for surgery.

Brian and I watch this show every season. It really gives you perspective on what goes on for you to be able to eat King Crab and Affilio Crab in a restaurant! We watched when Phil survived a blood clot passing through his heart (he was lucky to survive it), with that he should have given up smoking, but sadly he didn't.

Rest In Peace Phil, you will be missed!

My Review:
This is such a loving and sweet movie of a father who becomes a single parent after losing his wife. Wanting to bring joy back to their lives, he finds a way to balance the important things in his life; running a household, raising his sons, a demanding job and a possible romance.

I loved the part when Artie (the 6 yr old) was using the tub as a swimming pool! The pillow fight was just as funny.

The movie has some beautiful scenery of Australia and England!

New Orleans Saints Win First SUPERBOWL!!!

OMG WE ARE WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!

"It was the 44th Superbowl, Obama is the 44th President ,there are 44 days from Christmas to the Super Bowl , Super Bowl Sunday was 4 years and 4 months since Katrina, The Saints won the championship game in 4 minutes and 44 seconds in overtime .........they became SUPERBOWL CHAMPS with 44 seconds left in the game! WHO DAT!!"

Man oh man our house was very loud last night! lol In the first quarter, my daughter and I were sitting on the sofa praying for Hartley's kick to go straight through the uprights! We needed the score to be 6 & 0 in order to win that quarter's superbowl pool and we did, we get to split $250! When the ball made it through we were jumping up and down yelling and hugging! lol

After that, we were happy and just wanted the Saints to step up and win and they did! My daughter & I was yelling "RUN" and I nearly lost my voice, my husband was yelling "I think we just won the SUPERBOWL!", when Porter intercepted the ball and ran it back 70 yds for the touchdown that gave us the overall lead and eventually the WIN!

My husband is in the did we actually win, I can't believe we are superbowl champs phase and I just smile and "say yep we sure are"! I had NO doubt we'd win!

Congratulations to the New Orleans SAINTS in making history all year, making history in the superbowl and may they continue to do so for years to come!!! Congratulations on their Superbowl victory and may there be more in the future!

This is on the front page of our newspaper this morning. It is a letter from the Who Dat Nation to Miami.......lol

Dear Miami,

The Saints are coming. And so are we, their loyal, long-suffering and slightly discombobulated Super Bowl-bound fans.

While there's still time to prepare -- although a few hard-core Who Dats will begin trickling in Monday, most of us won't arrive until Thursday or Friday -- we thought we'd give you a heads-up about what you should expect.

First things first: You need more beer.

Yeah, we know. You ordered extra. You think you have more than any group of humans could possibly consume in one week. Trust us. You don't.

New Orleans was a drinking town long before the Saints drove us to drink. But it turns out beer tastes better when you're winning. (Who knew?) So let's just say we're thirsty for more than a championship; adjust your stockpiles accordingly.

And look. When we ask you for a go-cup, be nice to us. We don't even know what "open container law" means. Is that anything like "last call"?

It's Carnival season in New Orleans (that's Mardi Gras to you), and we'll be taking the celebration on the road. So don't be startled if you walk past us and we throw stuff at you; that's just our way of saying hello.

Oh, and sorry in advance about those beads we leave dangling from your palm trees. We just can't help ourselves.

February is also crawfish season, and you can be sure that more than one enterprising tailgater will figure out a way to transport a couple sacks of live mudbugs and a boiling pot to Miami.

When the dude in the 'Who Dat' T-shirt asks if you want to suck da head and pinch da tail, resist the urge to punch him. He's not propositioning you. He's inviting you to dinner.

And if you see a big Cajun guy who looks exactly like an old Saints quarterback walking around town in a dress ... don't ask. It's a long story.

We know that crowd control is a major concern for any Super Bowl host city. Our advice? Put away the riot gear.

Reason No. 1: Indianapolis is going to lose, and their fans are way too dull to start a riot.

Reason No. 2: New Orleans showed the world on Sunday that we know how to throw a victory party. We don't burn cars. We dance on them.

Reason No. 3: Even if we did lose, which we won't, leaving the stadium would be like leaving a funeral, and our typical response to that is to have a parade.

Speaking of which: If you happen to see a brass band roll by, followed by a line of folks waving their handkerchiefs, you're not supposed to just stand there and watch. As our own Irma Thomas would say, get your backfield in motion.

And hey, Mister DJ! Yes, we know you've already played that stupid Ying Yang Twins song 10 times tonight, but indulge us just one more time.

To us, "Halftime (Stand Up and Get Crunk)" isn't just a song; it's 576 points of good memories. It's the sound of a Drew Brees touchdown pass to Devery Henderson, a Pierre Thomas dive for first down on 4th-and-1, a Garrett Hartley field goal sailing through the uprights in overtime.

It's what a championship sounds like. You may get sick of hearing it. We won't. Encore, dammit.

Inside Sun Life Stadium, you may find your ears ringing more than usual. We're louder than other fans. Seven thousand of ours sound like 70,000 of theirs.

Don't believe us? Ask the 12th man in the Vikings huddle.

Some people think it's just the Dome that heightens our volume. But you're about to discover a little secret: We can scream loud enough to make your head explode, indoors or out.

It's not the roof. It's the heart.

Well, OK, and the beer.

Don't be surprised if there are more Saints fans outside the stadium than inside. A lot of us are coming just to say we were part of history, even if we can't witness it up close. The Saints are family to us, and you know how it is with family: We want to be there for them, whether they really need us or not. Because we know our presence will mean something to them, whether they can see us or not.

Come to think of it, seeing as how you're taking us in for the week, we pretty much regard you as family, too. So we're warning you now: If you're within hugging distance, you're fair game.

Hugging strangers is a proud Who Dat tradition, right up there with crying when we win.

Most sports fans cry when their teams lose. Not us. We've been losing gracefully and with good humor for 43 years. Tragedy and disappointment don't faze us. It's success that makes us go to pieces.

Hurricane Katrina? We got that under control. The Saints in the Super Bowl? SOMEBODY CALL A PARAMEDIC!!!

So anyway, don't let the tears of joy freak you out. We're just ... disoriented.

OK. Let's review:

Order more beer. Throw me something, mister. Suck da heads. Wear da dress. Stand up. Get crunk. Hug it out. Protect your eardrums. Pass the Kleenex. Hoist the trophy.

My Amarylliss Plant

I received an Amarylliss Plant for Christmas from my husband. He knows I love plants and I always wanted an Amarylliss, so he surprised me with one. I planted it on Christmas evening after everyone was gone. I kept the box so I'd know how the plant should look at how many weeks, etc.

Well, I took pictures on Jan. 18th which was 24 days after I planted it, then on January 25th when it made 1 month (31 days) and on Feb. 1st when it was 37 days or 7 weeks.

This plant is HUGE! lol I never knew it would be that tall! It leans towards the sunlight and if I have the heater on, it leans towards that! So at the moment, it's leaning on my TV Stand

WE DID IT!!!

The Saints are on their way to Miami in 2 weeks! I tell you it's such a fantastic feeling to have your team earn their way to the biggest game of the year! This team has been working on getting to this game for 43 years and it's such an awesome feeling today to know that the curse so many thought we had over our team is finally OVER!

Now we will have 2 more weeks of Saints Songs coming out and lots more FUN! Can't wait for it! Too bad our players can't go to the pro bowl, but hey, it was nice that they were invited to play, sort of stupid to have that game before the Superbowl though! There are 9 starters who won't be in the pro bowl!

I told my husband that we will always remember when they went to the Superbowl and he asked me how and I told him the year we got married the team made it to the Superbowl! Now if we had gotten married a long time ago, would that have changed things? Have no idea, but what a coincidence!

Something Funny Happened At The Store Yesterday!

My husband and I went to the grocery store yesterday and as we are walking down one of the isles, this guy says "Hey What's Up KID ROCK!" I actually thought since my husband responded with a "Hey" back, he knew the guy, so I asked who that was. My husband told me he had NO idea who it was, but "apparently he thought I was KID ROCK!" LOL I started laughing and continued laughing while talking with my husband.

Now this is the second person who thought he resempled Kid Rock, the first one was A LONG time ago! I really don't think he looks like him, but love teasing him when Kid Rock has been spotted and it's my husband! LOL

Happy 27th Anniversary!

Today is the anniversary of when my husband and I met 27 yrs ago! We met on a blind date, through our friends who were dating and no longer together now. 27 yrs ago they thought they were doing a nice thing by matching two of their friends up, little did they know they were so right in the match up!
