I used air brush with electric green and blue colors.

Cookie set for a special lady.

This set of cookies I made for one wonderful woman.

Her name is Pamela.

She became a good friend of mine, even though we had never met in real life.

Pamela has a good heart, she appreciates the beauty, loves art and also creates culinary masterpieces herself. You can see all her lovely photos here.

I was very happy to make cookies for her.

I used shades of purple and turquoise combined with white.

I also used a stencil, "transfer" technique and airbrush.

Here is a small pictorial I did the flowers.

Independence Day cookies

It's been a long time since I've posted pictures on my blog ..

During this time I got lot of new photos and even a little pictorial.

In the coming days I will try to catch up with my blog and my FB page.

On July 4th was U.S. Independence Day.

Cookies, of course, had to be in the 3 colors of the American flag.

Nothing special came to my mind.

Looking at the watermelon, I decided to make cookies in the form of watermelon slices, but use blue instead of green.

Thus was born this funny set.

Turkish Delight (Rahat Lukum)....

I love Turkish Delight!

There are many recipes of this dessert in the world...

Today I will share the Traditional recipe which will be loved by vegetarians too.

Ingredients:

4 cup of sugar,

1 cup cornstarch,

1 tbsp lemone juse,

1 tbsp rosewater,

1 tsp cream of tartar,

food coloring (optional),

For the dusting:

1 cup confectioners sugar,

1/4 cup cornstarch.

Place 1,5 cups water in a pan. Add in the lemon juse and sugar. Bring to the boil while stirring. Once the mixture comes to the boil keep stirring until the temperature reaches 240'F on a candy thermometer. This is also known as the soft-ball stage. Turn the heat off from the sugar mixture. In a separate pan add 2 cups of water. Add in the cream of tartar and the cornstarch. Whisk to remove lumps. Continue whisking while you bring the cornstarch water to the boil. I prefer to use my mixer here. Once it becomes a gluey paste remove from the heat. Add a small amount of sugar syrup to the glue paste and whisk to incorporate. Continue adding the syrup a bit at a time, whisking between each addition. Bring the mixture to the boil. Turn the heat down and allow to simmer very gently for about an hour. Stir frequently. By now the mixture should be an amber color. Add in the rosewater and a few drops of food coloring. Mix well. Take a baking tin, oil lightly, pour in the Turkish Delight, cover and leave for several hours to cool completely. Dust the TD with icing sugar and turn it out onto a surface dusted liberally with icing sugar. Cut the slab of TD into squares using a lightly-oilrd knife. Sift the icing sugar and cornstarch into a large bowl and add the squares of TD. Mix well.

Storage:

Store the TD in a box totgether with all the icing sugar and cornstarch mixture. Do not store in the fridge.

Today I will show you a Birthday cookie set for a little girl,

that I showed on my FB page some time ago.

Every girly set I always make with a special attitude, that's probably

why all my sets look alike.

But I can't imagine these cookies without cute dresses, lace and flowers!

I hope guests loved them.

Church auction cookies.

Hurray! Finally, we moved into a new place... Anyone who has ever moved knows that there is always a stress.

A lot of physical work, packing, organizing, shopping, decor, etc.

Despite being very busy, I still contributed a couple of days to do a few sets of cookies. This is what I love to do and what brings me joy!

Could not immediately post a photo here on the blog. Had to lie down and rest for few days because of back problems.

Today I want to show you cookies, that I made for the auction at our church.

All funds from this auction will be used for Christian children's camp.

My cookie set was sold for very good money, so I'm glad that I made a small contribution to this ministry.

You don't see the faces of these famous ladies.

It was a desire of the customer.

Many of you will recognize them by looking at the dress.

I tried to portray the dress as close as possible to the original.

I hope that I have succeeded.

The painful copying issue...

Let me say something really important...

These are my thoughts and my philosophy and I don't really care if someone doesn't agree with it. Recently in the cookie community arises the issue on copying, plagiarism, theft etc. Some people are so concerned about it, that can't sleep, they waste their and others time on empty arguments thus destroying friendships in groups and communities. Here are my 2 cents... and I wont get back to this topic again.

Don't be afraid that your ideas are being stolen..no one gets hurt! The world is much more wonderful and interesting than spying on someone who reiterated or plagiarized. All of us are imitators of something and there is some development of a mankind in that. You grudge your talent? Nobody will steal it from you and it wont be added to you if your work wont be copied. Don't think about it! Simply create! Be free! Create beauty and bring joy to people! Please, less self-worth, more humility. Less resentment, dear cookiers! May the joy and light of your souls light up the people around you..so many of them! The rest is vanity...

If you see that someone used your idea or copied your work, rejoice that you have been a source of inspiration. Only the best are copied! If a person is well-mannered and if your work in particular became an example for them they will award you with a credit..If not- leave it, you can't expect anything and can't prove anything.

If your ideas are so dear to you, do not expose them to the whole world! No one will ever come up with an idea to put their wallets on the street? Right?

Conclusion - borrowing other people's ideas, using them as a basis for further work, an attempt to develop what has been invented by another author is not more than an impetus to creativity. If someone is a newbie it will be very useful for them! But they should always remember not to get carried away by only copying, it will eventually bring only disappointment.

Today there will be no cookies..

I would like to treat you to apples.

I think it is a great alternative for a good gift on a Valantine's day.

Besides a very healthy alternative.

If you are preparing a party,

put these apples or pears along with your cookies and candies.

There are always those who will prefer fruits instead of baked goodies :)

I still struggle a little with white Ameriecolor.

But can't avoid using it as I draw in a one stroke technique.

Grey color is a great base for any flower drawing.

The time flies so fast!

Here is a new upcoming holiday - Valentine's day!

Many decorators already amaze us with their new ideas for cookie decorating.

Last week I did few projects for Valentine's day.

In this post I will show you few pictures.

Of course the main cookie cutter for Valentine's is a heart cutter.

You know how I love this cutter.

Here I used lace technique, "wet on wet" and drawing.
