We have been trying to contact Facebook to resolve the issue, but have had no response back beyond a “we can’t deal with individual cases” type of message.  We are beyond frustrated and so sad that all the lovely things we had collected on our Facebook page (including all you lovely fans!) have been lost.

We also know that we were mid-way through a Giveaway that we were running for Valentine’s Day.  We are going to have to think about how best to go about that now, so will keep you informed and we are so sorry that this is the case.

Can you believe that we are already almost two weeks into 2014!  It seems to have flown past already and we’ve already had organised customers looking into, designing and buying jewelry for Valentine’s Day gifts.  Before we get carried away with the new though, we thought it was a great time to take a look back at 2013 and see what the sparkling highlights of our jewelry year had been.

As you probably know (or a quick look at the My Love Wedding Ring jewelry ranges would show) we are real color gemstone lovers, especially natural colored precious gemstones such as sapphires and rubies.  This year, we have been really delighted to see color precious gems increase greatly in popularity – especially emeralds – these enchanting gems can be such a stunning, intense color of green, so much so they gave their name to the shade, emerald green; and this year they were big news!  It is no real surprise, emeralds look amazing with yellow gold and also are stunning when set in white gold or platinum.   You know a trend is a real growing trend when you see celebrities sporting a look, and with both Olivia Wilde and Zoey Saldana sporting beautiful emerald engagement rings, the popularity of this beautiful gemstone looks set to keep on growing

The beautiful green of emeralds also lends themselves very well to our next main trend of 2013, which has been our Celtic Wedding Ring collection.  The romantic unending curves of Celtic knot designs and the symbolism tied up in these knot designs make them a gorgeous choice for a wedding ring.  Certainly, this year, many of you seem to agree!  The combination of emeralds, yellow gold and diamonds lends a real spirit of the Celtic lands to our Celtic Ring designs, but with a few customized choices, blue sapphires perhaps, or white gold, or both, and the style of the Celtic knot designs is suddenly brought bang up to date and looks absolutely eye-catching.

Precious gemstone stud earrings have been another big hit in our designs of 2013.  We broadened our selection of precious gemstones which were available as prong set gemstone stud earrings, including gemstones such as aquamarine, blue topaz and amethyst to complement the existing range which included pink sapphires, blue sapphires and diamonds.  The beautiful pop of color that natural color precious gemstone stud earrings add to any outfit can’t ever be underestimated and yet their understated beautiful never grabs attention.

 As you can see, natural color gemstones have been the real hits in our jewelry ranges this year, a trend that looks set to continue into 2014.  Next time on the blog we’ll take a look at our predictions for the big themes that will dominate jewelry in the year ahead!

At My Love Wedding Ring we love the symbolism of the infinity symbol, it is intertwined and un-ending – just like you and your loved one!  The classic infinity symbol is, in itself, a beautiful shape, and we have created a necklace design that stays true to that.  In addition, we have used bezel set gemstones to create a modern chic version of our infinity necklace and, for a lovely quirky look, we have our “Love” infinity necklaces, such as this one:

The infinity symbol is endlessly intruiging, so we also developed designs incorporating the infinity symbol in a more abstract way, with some gorgeous and romantic results, this four leaf clover design being a perfect example:

Although, like many of our jewelry designs,this can be customized with precious gemstones such as blue or pink sapphires, or rubies, we especially love the emerald version!

The infinity symbol is not the only symbol that represents forever though, the circle or ring is perhaps less extravagent in its design, but the message that it gives is just as potent – it is unending.  Because of our great big romantic streak, we love the perfectness of the circle and by creating pendants which are circular, set with round cut precious gemstones, we’ve created a fabulous range of perfect, beautiful and modern necklaces which have a truly romantic sentiment but a thoroughly modern vibe as this yellow sapphire and diamond circle pendant below shows:

The clearest symbol of love, however, is the love heart and it is a design that we already truly love, including a range of precious gemstone and diamond set cluster heart pendants as well as open, pave set diamond and color gemstone, heart pendants which are both hugely popular with customers.  We’ve been busy working on some new designs for gemstone heart pendants too, and these lovely necklaces have been added to our range just in time for the festive season.  And it is so timely, as what better a holiday gift for your loved one that a gorgeous blue sapphire and diamond heart necklace.  Our new designs include a pretty color heart gemstone necklace where the faceted heart gemstone surrounded by a halo of diamonds set within a gold surround which has lovely milgrain detailing that creates a really pleasing, feminine, scalloped edging.  For the diamond lovers out there, we have also created a stunning range of color gemstone heart pendants which have a double halo of diamonds surrounding them – the impact and sparkle is incredible in these gorgeous, unique necklaces as is shown in this garnet heart necklace.

At the end of the day though, the most romantic of our new necklace designs combines the infinity symbol with the love heart to create a pretty, modern and yet sweet and romantic necklace that is already proving a real winner with customers.  A color gemstone, such as a pink sapphire,  which is heart cut, nestles into a stylised infinity symbol which has pave set diamond detailing – the effect is so beautiful, and the necklace is one that surely any girl would be happy to find in her stocking this Christmas!!

Obviously, when looking at jewelry to last a lifetime, rings, especially eternity rings, are an obvious choice.  Yet eternity rings may not be the most appropriate choice for everyone that you wish to buy jewelry for.  This is where the gift of a necklace becomes the perfect choice!  If you are buying for your Mom, or your (serious, but not quite at the stage of being that serious) girlfriend or perhaps even your daughter, then a necklace is the perfect balance of beautiful, wearable and not a ring!

Classic cluster gemstone necklaces are always a gorgeous, fail-safe choice.  The cluster design has existed as long as the skill of stone setting has, and the beautiful colors and sparkle of natural color gemstones and diamonds means that these necklaces never fail to look stunning.

Our halo design gemstone necklaces are also a really popular style within our necklace range.  A halo of diamonds around a color gemstone has an antique, sometimes almost medieval look to it, which is very beguiling and easy to wear.

The most romantic necklaces in our necklace ranges though have to be our heart necklaces!  Our cluster heart necklaces always prove really popular around this time of year, and with the heart cut central gemstone creating a pretty twist on the classic cluster necklace, it is no surprise.  Open heart designs, either in a traditional heart shape, or the sweetheart shape below, are also so pretty.

As with all of our jewelry design, these necklaces are customisable, and you can choose from white or yellow gold.  You can also choose your gemstones for your necklace so they can be white diamonds on their own, or white diamonds with color gemstones such as blue or pink sapphires, black diamonds, rubies or emerald. Each gemstone selection gives the necklace an entirely different look, so you can choose the gemstone selection that is perfect for you or for the person that will be lucky enough to receive the gift!

My Love Wedding Ring – Roman Numeral Wedding Band

We’ve gradually been adding our new Roman Numeral ring designs to our website over the last month and now, we have finished the webpage that lets you see all of the Roman Numeral Ring collection in the one area of our site.  Not only can you see and compare all the rings in the collection in the one page, but also you can look at 3-D video of the rings so that you can view them from all different angles and get a real feel for their shape, dimensions and proportions.

Roman Numerals themselves are as ancient as jewelry itself as they derived from tally stick markings which we used by the Etruscans in pre-history.  These markings were developed by the Romans into a more standardized numering system which is still used to this day.    Using just seven letters, with I=1; V=5; X=10; L=50; C=100; D=500 and M=1000, roman numerals can represent any number.  So 10th May 2013, or 05/10/2013 can be represented by V  X  MMX111.

The fabulous graphic quality of the seven letter symbols used in roman numerals lend themselves so well to being incorporated into designs and you can see just how well in our Roman Numeral Ring collection.  Using a clean, strong, san serif font, the roman numerals throughout the range are clear and bold.  The ring collection has a range of different looks though, from modernist to very classical.  Engraved numerals on a sleek ring look very contemporary, especially when one of the numerals is detailed in pave set gemstones such as in this black diamond ring:

Yet using the roman numerals and cut out detailing to create a filgree detailing on a ring shank, when combined with pave set diamomnd detailing and a natural colored pink sapphire and diamond halo feature creates a very classic styled and beautiful engagement ring as you can see here:

However, the beautiful effect of the roman numeral detailing in this ring collection is not the most romantic aspect of it.  What is?  Well, it is that you can choose the roman numerals that are incorporated into your ring, so that it is uniquely personal, just for you!  This is an especially romantic choice for wedding rings, as you can choose your special date to be the day on which you marry, or it could be the date of the day you met!

With so many gorgeous new additions to our earring collections, it is difficult to choose which ones you want to find in your stocking!  Which brings us back round to that wish list – you can add them all on there, and you never know, you might end up with a fabulous treat!

One of our favorite new features on the website is our Customization Options.  All of our jewelry can be customized whether it is an engagement ring or set of earrings.   Depending on the item of jewelry you choose, there a lots of different customization options available.  For all of our jewelry, you can choose whether you want the finished item to be in yellow gold or white gold.  You can also select whether you want it in 14k or 18k gold.  In many of our rings, you can also choose a platinum option an enduring and stunning choice for a wedding ring or engagement ring.  So for this beautiful wedding ring, you could have it in white gold as is shown below, or you could use the customization options and choose it in yellow gold or platinum instead.

However, a variety of surface finishes from highly polished to hammered are also available.  You can visualise the effect of different surface finishes on the Plain Wedding Ring range using the visualisation tool on our website.  The width of the band can also be varied, giving dramatically different looks to what it, essentially, still the same design.

For some designs, such as our gemstone set engagement rings, wedding bands or eternity rings, as well as selecting your preferred precious metal, you can also choose your preferred gemstone.  This three stone engagement ring is brilliantly sparkling when the central gemstone is a diamond.  However, as you can see, if you choose to customise the design by choosing a ruby the effect is vibrant and eyecatching.

The whole process is really simple!  First, you do a sketch (or three) of your dream design,  and also write a description of what you are looking for in as much detail as possible including information such as the precious metal you would prefer, the gemstones you would like, the budget you have in mind and the time frame.  You then send this information to us using the Custom Order Request form we will take a look at your design in detail and, within one to two working days, will get back in touch with you to provide you with a complimentary quote.  We are also happy to receive your enquiry via email at: info@myloveweddingring or by telephone on 1-888-636-1688

When you accept the quote, you pay 20% of the quoted price as a deposit and our jewelry designer will start the process of creating your custom design jewelry using an advanced 3D jewelry software program to capture your idea perfectly. After your approval of the 3D rendering images, your custom jewelry order will be moved to the production stage of the process.  For production to commence, the next 30% of the quote needs to be paid.  During the production process, your custom design jewelry is cast in the precious metal of your choice and your chosen gemstones will then be set into the metal to complete your dream jewelry.

It normally takes between 7 to 10 business days from the start of the production process to the finishing or your dream jewelry.  Once the jewelry is completed, the remaining 50% of the quoted price will be charged and your dream jewelry shipped to you for delivery within 2 business days.  We are sure you will appreciate that because custom made jewelry is made to a design which is personal to you, and which is agreed by you, is also non-refundable.

Gem set wedding rings are more popular now that ever before and can look beautiful and eyecatching.  However, not everyone wants their wedding band to be set with precious gemstones.  Many men – and some women – prefer their wedding band to be a plain band of precious metal.  However, a simple wedding band of precious metal doesn’t mean that the wedding ring need look mundane or uninteresting.  Instead, with some imaginative design and engraved detailing, a whole range of wedding band shapes can be created.

Then,using the options available on our website, a customised, individual wedding band can be created by altering the width of the band, the precious metal from which it is made and the surface texturing finish that the ring is given.  As all of the rings are available in sizes 3 to 15, they can be the perfect wedding ring choice for men or women!

Our new ring customisation web page is full of precious metal wedding ring designs.  In fact, there are forty seven of them in total. Some of the designs are old favorites that you will have seen on our website before and some are fresh out of the design studio which we hope you will love.
