And I was actually glad that despite all the hassles and conflicts which have arisen all along the way, everything turned out pretty well in the end. ;)

Now that it has all became memory etched in my mind that I wouldn't want to forget, I am writing this post, like after so long, just so that I would not forget how the fruit of hardship and effort tasted like, how the joy of friendship and solidarity overcame challenges and sorrows, and also the ultimate sense of accomplishment which is just so fulfilling when you finally declare Mission Accomplished.

Korean Cultural Exhibition specially brought to you by no other than the SKORTIES!

Korean Cultural Exhibition where we went beyond just the pretty details to the unleashing of the cultural insights to the beautiful Korean culture.

From the mouth-watering cuisines, the pretty details of the Hanbok, the philosophy of their tea culture, their jubilant festivities, the language which shapes the pulse and signifies the smouldering spirit of the South Koreans towards their founding history and religious background which shaped their deep cultures and inward beliefs.

Our handmade mini hanboks and DIY brochures for remembrance. :)
Lee Young-hee once said that the Hanbok represents the national sentiment of the Korean people. The open arms of the 'jeogori' represents warmth and natural embrace while the voluminous 'chima' symbolizes space and freedom.

Brandon and Salina demonstrating the steps in making the Kimchi.
The delightful red color of Kimchi is said to ward off evil spirits, while that makes Kimchi much more than just a food, but also, a national culture of the South Koreans.

After the savoring of the spicy kimchi, it's time to have some refreshing tea :)
Koreans contemplate on humanity and reflect upon the imperfections of life while they are enjoying tea as there is actually a philosophy behind the seemingly defective tea pottery - the imperfections of everything in life.

Nobody Nobody But You~ choreographed by nobody but Eden.

And last but not least, dancing and singing is a must for festivities and celebration.

Some pictures from behind the scenes :)

That experience was a truly rewarding one, and most important of all, we had lots of fun. Everyday is a learning day. :)

And finally,

Or perhaps a Jessie and her clique of mean girlfriends who had consistently made you run seemingly impossible errands for them, just for you to gain exclusive membership to join their BFFs club? Well, call it a rite of passage if you would, as I believe that just about everyone has been bullied to some certain extent during some part of their lives.

Do you remember the stir created by the school boy in Sydney who retaliated towards his tormentor by body-slamming him to the ground? The video instantly became a hit on the Internet and the school boy was dubbed a hero, not because the global community endorses violence and brutality, but for the reason that of those being bullied and abused, few has the strength and courage to defy, somehow the young Casey Heynes begged to differ.

Thanks to the chivalry of fellow “Facebookers” who have strongly criticized the perpetrators and urged for the attention of the authorities, the rampant school bullies of SMK Raja Abdullah was ultimately brought to justice.

While the public’s exasperation over the matter is gradually subsiding, once again we’re appalled by the incident whereby a secondary school girl in Ampang was mobbed by a gang of bullies after allegedly blowing the whistle to the discipline master regarding her schoolmate’s truancy.

Don’t you agree with me that school bullies these days are getting more outrageous, that they made Tom and Jessie sounded exactly like angels? Please don’t feel overwhelmed with the bombardment of bullying cases in the newspapers lately as they are only new tunes added to a decades-old song.

Just imagine how many bully cases have been out there and not brought to the light of public, how many children have been weeping and shuddering in silent, long before Facebook has emerged to act as one of the effective platforms to bring these issues from school grounds to the cyberspace.

According to newspaper reports in a Chinese Daily, both the victims of the bullying cases which transpired recently had tentatively reported their predicament to their teachers, but to their despair their problems were not given attention.

Now this is peculiar, don’t you think that all the bullying cases actually spell one word in common? Well if you would ask me, negligence would be just the right word!

It could either be the negligence of the parents who failed to discover the bullying behavior in their children, the teachers who couldn’t care less about their students, the nonchalant schoolmates and regulation enforcers, or even you and me.

All too often we are obsessed with our respective priorities to poke a nose over others’ affair deemed as trivial, but has it ever cross our minds that our negligence might sometimes be lethal?

Just imagine how things would turn out so differently when somebody cares enough to show just a little bit more concern.

As your concern could easily empower the possible victims with the strength and courage to stand up for themselves, as you being a little more assertive could compel the authorities to recognize the urgency in the combating of the contemptible bullying cases.

Remember, the rampant school bullies had all along been – and mind you, will continue to be – there, as long as the right thing is not done by the right people to counter this insidious societal ill.

Of those being bullied and abused, few has the strength and courage to defy.

Just as I didn't know that I could draw! :)

The day began with the lucky lot that we got first thing in the morning, it seemed that lady luck had been shining on us. :)

Step by step guide to producing the vibrant and not to mention, extremely CUTE monster eggies: FIRSTLY, you would have to draw the outline and color it. I never knew that I could color hehe ;)

Secondly, you shall cut your cute little monster according to its outline.

Thirdly and LASTLY, get your eggies to change into their new suit (or what we SKORTIES call them the SKORTS) just in time for EASTER! :DD

Oh just in case that you haven't been noticing the differences, I have just revamped my blog a little by giving it a brand new look! And I must say that it looked so totally different, don't you think? Construction is currently still under progress but please feel free to check out everything! :DD

From the movie Looney Tunes Back In Action! ;)

Well, the official abandoning of my poor blog will actually date back to the month of October last year, right before our battle with you-know-what ahem, *deep breaths* so I guess there must be A WHOLE LOT to be updated on. I have been writing, I swear, it was just that I wrote in the other blog of mine, yea the one in Chinese. Here's the proof!

But sadly yea, it is now <strike>officially</strike> temporarily abandoned, until further notice - due to no apparent reason. I'm positive that I might write again, I believe I might, I think I might... Hmmmm fingers crossed!

And so I had been working on a part-time basis for about 3 months right after <strike></strike>SPM, like right exactly after the day of the last paper, and had missed all the vacations and outings whatsoever. Well if you would ask me, I kind of regretted too. =X

But let's not dwell in the past, after all it happened for like, half a year ago?

Anyway, I'm so gonna skip the CNY part, since it was kind of boring.

And then the day came, you know, the day when your adrenaline rush was pumping like there's no tomorrow and your goosebumps kept popping up and the mere thought of it was so overwhelming that it sent the chills and shudders right down your spine. Well in case you have no idea at all, I'm talking about the day of your life - SPM Results Day.

Picture (and finger) courtesy of The Juicy One.

Well I might not have done all my best, and the results might not have been totally up to expectations, but still it's over, like ONCE AND FOR ALL! So I hold no grudges. =) And guess what, I got an A for my Chinese paper, which is totally unexpected! weeeeeee :DD Okay I know I shouldn't dwell in the past, I have got a life to move on, I know, I know.

And then college started, not to mention that I went in late for my first ever management principles class because I have been so much of a cow to go to the classroom in the wrong building and waited like a total moron. Okay I know that was completely embarrassing. But believe me two is better than one, as I repeated the same mistake during the computer applications examination, but thank god I got into the right classroom just in time! Phew~ Now that the first semester had officially ended, I swear I'm so not gonna enter the wrong classroom again, EVER.

Hmmmm I guess I cramped too much info in just one post. Will blog more on my college life after this, I hope :)
With emergency relief goods and humanitarian aids still being facilitated to evacuation centers all over Japan, recovery efforts either physically or mentally, would definitely take time, what more with the potential radiation disaster which is at present the greatest trepidation of the people.

The nuclear crisis which struck Japan has sparked alarm among global communities and raised controversies regarding the actual necessity to adopt atomic energy as an alternative in generating electrical energy. Even the Japanese with their sophisticated technology, their cautious demeanor and their many experiences in dealing with atomic energy, they fail to contain the meltdown of their reactors. In such incident, it is only prudent for us to reconsider and revise the plan from all aspects regarding the sensibility to construct nuclear power plants here in Malaysia.

Are we ready to take this one big step forward? And do we have the capacity to deal with the calamity in case of a nuclear breakdown? These are among the many uncertainties that we should first deal with before the implementation of the plan. We should take into considerations the impact towards the environment and the people as well as the cost for constructing and maintaining such technology for the many years to come and ensure that no problem arises as we cannot afford to commit mistakes because the consequences are unbearable.

The consequences of the outbreak of a nuclear power plant is formidable, as radioactive particles released into the atmosphere poses a health threat to the people as the radiations are capable of penetrating through human skin and even concrete buildings. Due to the highly penetrating and ionizing power of radioactive rays, chemical processes in the living cells of our body would be interfered, thereby inducing a series of health complications such as thyroid cancer, skin cancer, bone cancer, DNA mutation and the like. Apart from that, we must also comprehend that radioactive waste produced by a reactor cannot be disposed off easily. Radioactive particles with long half-life's might remain in the atmosphere for a long period of time thus hazarding human's health and even contaminating the soil and water sources which are vital elements of life.

We Malaysians are blessed with a variety of natural resources as well as a place free from natural catastrophes to call home, and yet we should never take the peace and harmony we enjoy for granted, as natural disasters often strike without prior notice, just as how the Japanese were not notified beforehand of the impending destruction and affliction. In my modest opinion, we should first educate the people about nuclear technology as well as its implication on the people before letting them to decide for themselves whether there is really a need for such technology. We could not afford to put the health and well-being of the people at stake. With our 1Malaysia slogan where the people comes first, the safety and well-being of the nation should be given utmost precedence.

When you're unhappy, just grab a cookie -and OM NOM NOM~

You might be amazed by the occasional extra chocolate chips you manage to find in your favourite Chips More cookie -mind you this is a commercial-free blog.
Or perhaps the one last piece of marshmallow candy you manage to secure from the almost-emptied candy can.
Or even the extra few pounds you manage to lose overnight for no apparent reason -although it's unlikely to happen when your cookie cravings sounded like so impossible to be satiated. ;)

Believe it or not, as simple as it seems, but that's actually all it takes.

I have always loved this quote and therefore, would like to quote it again:

Happiness resides not in possession and not in gold, the feeling of happiness dwells in the soul.

The recipe to happiness in life is to seek for contentment in everything we pursue -but definitely not for complacency.

So what are you waiting for? Fuel up your hungry soul with a cookie today.

Love, Sherilyn.

I needed a retreat so desperately, far away from where I am now, so please take my hand in yours and escort me to the most hidden places of the countryside, whereby peace camouflages itself somewhere just in between the chirping of the birds, the unfolding of the roses, the lapping sound of the flowing rivers and the cascading waterfall, whilst the breeze kisses lightly on our blushing cheeks. This is all that I want now -the joy in simplicity.

You are welcomed to join me in my new retreat. But please remember to uphold its peacefulness. Click here to join. Thank you for your kindness. ;)

p/s: I finally got rid of my plushy, fancy or whatsoever-you-call-it background. Hope that you'd love the new peaceful look.
Ladies and Gentlemen, say hi to Droopy! The Bassett Hound -or I'd prefer calling it a Hush Puppy- with a droopy face and is always looking lethargic and inanimate and worn out and moody and all, what with his heavy eyelids and soggy cheeks. You can't blame him, the name said it all, haven't it? Sometimes I do wonder why can't he look a little bit more lively and adorable like how the other animated cartoon characters appeal to children. No worries though, I still love him. He's still cute in his own way.

The thing is, I literally look like him nowadays, what with SPM trials in the progress. Examinations always spell one thing in common: MIDNIGHT OILS. Yea right, that explains all the dark circles around the eyes and the fatigue appearance and the lack of spirit and so on. There's no one to be blamed but me and myself. Have fun studying everyone.

More updates after the trials, I hope.

p/s: all Bassett Hound's are supposed to look like that anyway, don't blame Droopy for how he looks like because he hasn't got a choice. ;)

Till then, do click on the ads to show some love ;)

The business was temperate -due to the sacred month of Ramadan, I suppose- yet I have to wait longingly for my lunch to be served, so I lost my patience a little and asked for the food to be sent to our unit instead -and that cost me 6 bucks in total. Still, the taste of the food was heavenly, so the longing and the penny spent was worthwhile after all. So there I was another moment, savoring my lip-smacking Nasi Goreng Ayam Kunyit at the comfort of my home, all to myself.

(p/s: Just in case that you don't have the remotest idea of what it actually is, Nasi Goreng Ayam Kunyit or Turmeric Chicken Fried Rice is a famous Malay cuisine. And what made it special would be the Kunyit or Turmeric from the ginger family which is commonly used as a spice in culinary to enhance the taste of cuisines -do correct me if I'm wrong.)

And just about the very same day, my Facebook news feed was bombarded with angry remarks from fellow exasperated Facebook-ers, apparently disgruntled with the provocative comments from certain individuals in this particular group calling for support for the school principal who allegedly uttered offensive remarks towards her students -I believe we all know what am I referring to. I even got an invitation to join another group which was believed to have been established in opposition to the former, but both are currently nowhere to be found anymore, I don't know why. Somehow, I believe this is the wonder that today's most celebrated social networking site is capable of committing.

Undeniably, I see reasons for exasperation, as those comments were prejudiced and even upsetting to be perused. Somehow, I believe most of us are able to see through the veils, because in my modest opinion, it is merely an opportunity seized by certain individuals for their own benefits -if there is, which is to create racial tensions. And what could probably be more distressing to see these occurrences transpiring when National Day is just around the corner? People might say or do things irrationally out of desperation and resentment, but they'd have to face the consequences sooner or later, since there are authorities mandated to adopt appropriate actions, so why must we make an issue out of all these and make each other unhappy by hurling irresponsible remarks or even by attacking the perpetrators on social networks when they are ready to apologize?

Instead of making a controversy out of all those, why not just sit down and unwind at a mamak stall, relishing a fine cup of teh tarik whilst cheering for our national shutlers who were trying to make our nation proud at the National Badminton Championships at Paris? I believe it is always during times like the previous Thomas Cup whereby nationalism is best shown -we could see everyone rooting excitedly for the players, disregarding of race, religion or creed. This is all that we need, ain't it?

We all love our country, don't we? We all love the diversity of culture and of course, mouth-watering cuisines that only a country like us can offer, don't we? I love to hang out at mamak stalls having roti canai and teh tarik. I have cravings for Nasi Goreng Ayam Kunyit and will be always on the look for the famous Nasi Kandar whenever I'm back in hometown. I have neighbour with a si comel which tends to defaecate at the corridor and drives us all mad and sometimes hovering at my front door making me wonder whether do my shoes smell fishy. Still, I don't attempt to murder it by feeding it with socks, did I? X)

The thing is, we can all live in harmony, even before these sentiments were raised by certain irresponsible parties, so we should never take things for granted. Remember how our forefathers fought for independence? National unity bore us with the fruit of independence, so we Malaysians are obliged to treasure and safeguard this gift till the very last breath. Forging greater unity should be our top priority for the time being, there's no kamu or saya, but only kita in this issue.

Commemorating 53 years of hard-fought independence, I would like to wish all Malaysians

HAPPY MERDEKA and MALAYSIA DAY!

GREY! Because the very third day of the brand new month of August hasn't been doing me any fair thus far, what with me waking up to a bad dream -I wouldn't call it a nightmare because there ain't monsters chasing after my back- at 2 o' clock in the a.m. because I was kinda disturbed by the dream and it made me so tensed and I actually drenched myself in sweat -I swear that I haven't been running for dear life away from scary monsters- and there goes me and my night of quality sleep. So Tuesday morning actually turned out to be nothing but yet another BLAH-some day! And I learned that I might have actually forgotten to wash my legs before going to bed, so much for an old wives' tale huh.

And I actually jabbed the snooze button for merely once and only O.N.C.E ... Woots! (Well, who wants to stay in bed and continue to be haunted and freaked out by the outrageous dream) I was kinda positive for the whole new day ahead, not until I was attempting to remove the stubborn wrinkles from the pinafore -I seriously despise ironing. And I shall skip babbling and grumbling about the following dull, old and boring morning routine before heading to school, because it's basically repetitive and totally tedious. So there I went heading for school -simply reluctantly- because I don't expect them to accept having bad dreams nor Tuesday Greys -because it's new?- as a good excuse for skipping school, you know, it's not like when your newly-bought car was being charred to ashes intentionally by someone who held grudge over you or what. Ahem. I suppose Mr Discipline Master must have a lot to deal with his insurance agent, so we should be totally considerate and compassionate over his absence for our Chemistry lessons. Yea right.

Ohh and did I mention about the abrupt electricity disruption -again- in the midst of the teaching and learning session, as if the day hasn't been Grey -and HOT- enough already and, and... and that freaking annoying spot check session which never failed to create a stir every single time they conducted it, and can you actually believe that both Vinnie and I were saying "annoying!" simultaneously and we were both so excited and there we went sending high-fives over the air. And of course they didn't find anything much, and we actually skipped the body spot-check -which is a stupid idea- without the prefects noticing. I don't seem to know why, but these novices have some kinda enthusiasm which came from I-don't-know-where. Let's see how long this would last. Ahem.

_____________________________________________________

Okay before I'm babbling any further and before I forget about it, here's what I promised! Well, it's just plain crapping actually, but, I still hope it somewhat helps.

Sherilyn's Guide to Dealing With Monday Blahs
(same applies to Tuesdays too -and also Wednesdays, Thurdays... you name it)

- Imagine yourself waking up to the strong and welcoming aroma of a nice warm cup of coffee, and also a hearty breakfast with bacon and toast and cheesy sausages and perhaps some scramble eggs? Gosh, I don't know anything better than that, they all just sounded so... Mouthwatering~ I'm drooling already. The idea of a wonderful breakfast-in-bed sounded even appealing. Now you tell me how could anyone possibly resist a tempt like that? Ha! That's exactly the trick! That would fuel up your Monday morning a little, because a hungry man is an angry man, but now that you're actually contented in the tummy, you would be in a really good mood to kick-start a whole new day. Isn't that awesome?

p/s: but let's face reality that it simply means that you'd need to wake up earlier to prepare the breakfast, unless you have someone else to do that for you. X)

- And the next thing you should do is definitely to get rid of that same, old, plain, dull, LOUD and ever annoying alarm tone that we all despise! This is in fact SIGNIFICANT just so that the cat next door doesn't risk dying due to being choked by the phone you mistakenly -or perhaps purposely- fed it with. Try changing it into your favourite tune instead, so that you'd feel less annoyed with the monotonous old tune, which gets louder over time - and I actually doubt you should even call it a tune.

p/p/s: just make sure that you change the tune from time to time, so that you don't actually grow annoyed towards the tune instead, and all of a sudden that particular deep charismatic voice of that good-looking chap of some new pop band sounded almost as annoying as the alarm tune to you.

- Ahhh, I like this the best. It's easy and simply appealing. When you're tired and annoyed at the thought of an exhausting tuition marathon all the way until 7 o' clock in the p.m. after school, the thought of a deviation just pop up in your mind, and there's this little voice in your head: why not simply skip tuition for the day? I could always substitute it later, couldn't I? And there you go enjoying a McD lunch catching up with a friend and also sharing some gossips instead. Nobody I know with a sane mind could rationally beat a fat juicy piece of gossip, I bet. =P
It's just that this idea of deviation might pop in your mind every Monday since then. And it'd no longer be a random deviation. Standard deviation perhaps? X)

Yawns~ That's all I guess.

You know what, people - like me- have Monday Blues, and the very FIRST thing that one should reasonably attribute it to would definitely be no other than the annoying alarm tones! They should seriously ban them. Sometimes I do secretly hope that the alarm would malfunction or what, or at least doesn't work so perfectly accurate, because the snoozing period is always pathetically-and may I suggest accurately- short. One moment you're jabbing relentlessly on the snooze button and the another moment, there goes the annoying ring tone ringing all your way into blurry consciousness -again.

Plus, you'd really wish that you could wrap yourself inside the duvets which seem extraordinarily warm for a little longer, stick your face onto the pillows which felt exceptionally fluffy and soft and smells good for one more nanosecond, lie comfortably on your bed which made you think that Sleeping Beauty should be sleeping forever, and also that freaking alarm that should be swallowed by the cat next door -all on a Monday morning. (p/s: same applies to every other morning.)

And the SECOND thing would be the unexpected disruption of electricity supply to your school. I swear that for one moment I was kinda elated, bearing in mind that the boring assembly would most probably be called off. Alas, the merest and tiniest light of hope was extinguished in the blink of an eye, in the beating of a heartbeat, in the gulp of one tiny mouthful of saliva, all by the usual, routinized call for students to go into their lines. I swear it was almost as accurate -and annoying- as the freaking alarm.

And I swear it's really HOT and STUFFY and not to mention agonizing to study in such a less-than-conducive environment, and mind you, we're IMMINENT-major-public-exam-candidates. And I thought the National Grid Network is supposed to provide CONTINUOUS and UNDISPUTED supply of electricity nationwide, because in the event that one of the electrical power stations breaking down, the others are still supposed to work. Well, that's from the Physics notes. (See, I'm actually RE-VI-SING) So whoever-in-charge of that should be doing their jobs too, because we had been waiting forever for the freaking current to resume, and it actually happens right before the school's about to end. Such efficiency huh.(Sarcasm)

And the THIRD factor which contributed to Monday Blues would be slow and laggy Internets. Doesn't it gets on your nerves, when you're all excited because of the sudden overwhelming flow of inspiration to give your blog a life, and when you can't wait to put your thoughts into words, and, and... and the Internet got all laggy and functions at a snail's pace. BLAH!

Still, you shouldn't let all the above stated reasons ruin your day, since you're waking up to the whole new month of August! Come on, a whole new month of new hopes, new breath, new goals to achieve, new resolutions! It is so going to be a bright and hopeful month ahead! Ohh and did I mention another month closer to you-know-what-I-mean?

Ahh this actually turned out to be a longer post than what I had imagined, so I guess I would pretty much call this a post!
Coming up next would be Sherilyn's Guide to Monday Blahs, where I would share with you a few ways to dealing with this common syndrome. Stay tuned!

In spite of just being a celebration of birth, I think it's also a day to be grateful. I'm grateful for my existence in this world; I'm grateful for everything I'm endowed with; I'm grateful for all the beings whom walked into my life, intercepts my circle and whom I called as my friends.

A bazillion thanks to everyone who was there for the advanced birthday celebration of Evonne's and mine. Thanks for bothering enough to remember, to plan and also to spend your precious time and efforts by showing up. It really does matters.

Zuhairi:
Well, you had the honour to be the first. Thanks for your birthday gift. It's really sweet of you, actually. I must say that I like it very much. As thoughtful as your gift, I must say that, you too, are a very special and considerate friend of mine. Sensitive but very wise and calm in some way.

Thanks dudes! Don't worry, the motor of the fan would never go counter-wise, for I'm not that much of a cow to place the batteries at their wrong poles. =P
Thank you. Terima Kasih. Nandri. Xie Xie. Tak (Danish). Merci (French). Dank u (Dutch). Kittos (Finnish). Gracias (Spanish). Danke (German). Obrigado (Portuguese). D'akujem (Slovak). Hvala (Slovenian). Football fever, eh?
What language do I still owe the three of you? =P

Frank:

Thanks for the present. It's really cute. Thanks for bothering to remember my birthday and also your efforts to prepare it that early. Somehow I think you still retained your gift-wrapping skills, because the wrapping doesn't actually looked funny to me the way it seemed to you. It's actually neater than your scrawling, because I can hardly peruse some words. hehe.

Vinnie and Vivien:

Thanks for the gift and also the card. You two are always the best and I really didn't know what I did to deserve wonderful friends like you two. Good things come in a pair, don't they?

Carmen:

Thanks for your presents. I appreciate them as much as I appreciate your presence in my life, bringing me heartaches and laughter altogether. I think they make the wonderful flavours of life.

Evonne:

Thanks for the gift. Belated but sincere. It's just that I don't have a big nose as that, do I? Being born a day earlier than you to this world, I think we're somewhat alike in some way. I really hope that I can still celebrate my birthday together with yours, for the many years to come.

Yin Mei:

Thanks for remembering although you were not in your best state of health. We missed you, like, a lot. Please do recover real soon, for I can't bear it without you annoying me in class. =P

Moo:

Thanks a lot for your gift, which came right - well, left actually =P - from the heart. I am sincerely touched by your words. I enjoyed working with you a lot on the forum and you really make a good public speaker - one whom influence people in some way. Well, there was indisputably, some wrong turns I took in life, yet, I think I know what's best for me now. Thanks. =)

Ryan:

Thanks a lot for your gift. I like it very much. But I'm really a heavy water-drinker. =P You must have been the friend whom I have known for the longest in this class. Keep on with your inquisitive spirit and also your humility, that's something I deeply respect you for, and something that everyone should learn from you. I believe that would drive you a long long way. ;)

Tai:

Last but not least, thanks for your solid "6 hours". There's nothing more that I could ask for, well, if there really is, I would like to have the original uncoloured copy, rather than your 're-printable' copies. Still, I like it very much. I can still vividly remember an old message from a friend, which sounded like: the best gift that you can ever give someone is your time, because when you're giving them a portion of your time, it's something that you'd never get back in life. Thanks for the book as well - inspiration and knowledge makes good gifts too - although it burned your pocket a little. Well, thanks for practically everything.

And also not to forget the warm wishes which I received on Facebook, regardless of you being a random acquaintance, fellow schoolmate, cousin or even an old classmate and friend of mine, thanks for bothering enough to scribble on my 'wall'. As simple as that, you'd made my day.

I'm sincerely sorry if I left anyone else out, you got to understand that it was totally unintentional.

Hmm, this is definitely a long - but heartfelt - post. Hope you enjoyed, ;D

What do you say if I end today's post with a quote from Chapter Declaration of the book?

And got to become the first group to compete! Thanks Moo, thank you very much. ><
Butterflies were flying in my stomach, somehow I managed to fake a smile - well, smiles actually- and act like I'm all cool with it. I find pleasure in making my competitors nervous. EVIL, right? hehehe. ;D

But I forgot my speech a little at the second round, plus the first bell was rung, so I ended up babbling about how important is pure and genuine BM! Candid. Ha!

But still, due to us being the lucky number ones, we actually got more than enough time to sneak out for lunch...

at KFC Berjaya Times Square!

Thanks for your treat, teacher! =)
In fact, thanks for almost everything, from the time you spent for the training sessions, the guidance you gave to all the morale support that you have shown. It really does matters.

After the finger licking good commercial break, it's time for some serious adrenaline rush! Thank god that we have actually reloaded on our glucose levels in our blood earlier, for I swear that the adrenaline rush was way too overwhelming, with the schools' name being called one after another for the recipient of the participating certificate, and then the fifth placing, no SMKCP, and then the fourth, no SMKCP and then the third! tadaa~ *drum rolls*

SMK COCHRANE PERKASA boleh! =D

Well, my heartiest congratulations to the champions of the zone level as well as the first runner ups! Wishing you all good luck for the state level's tournament. Have fun! =)

The champs from SMK Alam Shah a.k.a Miss Chooi's favourite school discussing about the OneMalaysia concept. An all-dude team they were. X)
And the first runner ups were an all-dudette team from Sains Politeknik. Saw them in their green blazers? =)

So we headed back to school with victorious grins on our faces.
p/s: this pic was actually taken before the competition, but who cares? I need pictures to complement my story. hehe. X)

I enjoyed the competition a hell lot!
A special thanks to my team-mates for putting up our best fight and also for giving excellent cooperation, commitments and dedications.

I heart you all! =)

p/p/s: Picturesss courtesy of Moo, Nadhira, Tengku Farah Aida and also Puan Siti Ainul Mursyida. Thanks a lot!
The first thing which came across my mind was: Dang! How could I face my parents with this kinda results. And the next thing I know I was sobbing again, like a totally useless fur-reek.

It was really far far away from my imagination, in fact it has never ever crossed my mind that I'm actually going to fall a terrible 4 steps down the stairs. For the first time of my life I really hope that my parents won't see my report card. What are they going to say? I really can't bear to put the shame on their faces. I was never a filial daughter, and the least I could ever do is to let them not worry about my studies and be a role model to bro, but now, look at me, I'm really far away from being a good daughter. I'm a total loser.

I might have once upon a time made them somewhat proud with the satisfying results I manged to sustain, but now it seems like I worth nothing. Am I wasting their money and investments on me? Sending me for tuition classes, buying me reference books and so on, I'm really feeling guilty and ashamed of myself.

Mum and Dad, I love you both, although I almost never articulate that to you. I'm really grateful for all that you had done for me, I'm sorry that I had let you two down, but I promise I'm going to strive harder. I really wanted to do well. I can't afford to screw this one big major exam ahead.

Erm, in case that I'd simply resort to conspiring with bro and keeping my report card out of your sights and then secretly charring them into ashes - well, just in case - these are my results if any of you happen to actually come across my blog someday, and by the time you might not actually think it's a big deal:

BM: 88
BI: 95
BC: 50? ><
Physics: 58 (I haven't even seen my paper yet.)
Chemistry: 60 (blame me for I'm such a cow to leave out one costly question.)
Biology: 83
Maths: 90
Add Maths: 82
Moral: 55 (Expensive questions they were.)
History: 70 (sorry to say that I hardly studied for that, well, that was the last paper, it explains huh.)

I'm promising myself over here that I am really going to work harder. There's merely one more month to the trials and then another 3 months until the big big day. Determination, discipline and some drive, are they on sale? Ahhh and also to get my mind over things to concentrate better on my studies.

And Puan R is really a nice lady, giving me all the encouragement and support after seeing me crying like a baby. Thanks for having the faith in me, teacher. You gave me the will to work harder.

Now these are what I should do to retribute her kindness:

1stly, to finish my BM Summary Module.
2ndly, to practise well for the forum and go do some research and to give my best performance on Wednesday.
3rdly, well, at least try my best to complete my BM homework.
4thly, to study really hard. it's not like I'm going to get flying colours like what she said, but at least I'll give my best.
5thly, ahhh, I hope that her coughing could be cured. She is really a nice lady.

I don't know how long I could persist on my so-called resolutions, but I'll try my best, we shall see.

Love, Sherilyn

p/s: how on Earth should I possibly break the shocking news to Mum and Dad? Now I really hope that Friday would never come.

Have a peek. ;D

You may press here to watch since the embedded version is like, really big and can hardly fit.

"Eun Joo ahh."

I love the way Ki Hoon sometimes calls Eun Joo. Duh, life could be so boring sometimes. And I finally told dad about that weird man – who likes to sit beside me in the public bus and who makes me feel intensely uncomfortable with his weird behaviour – after Vinnie suggested that I do so. I could be so stupid sometimes, don’t I? I didn’t even come across this idea, because I thought he was just a helpless and innocent middle-aged man who is a little bit out of his mind and could not do any great harm to me. But I was all, “Yes I could tell my dad!” Duh, I’m such a cow. No I might had behaved like a cow, but not anymore, because he is totally suspicious, because I caught him peeking at the choice of my seat in the bus the day before, and trying to seat next to me again? In your dreams, you weirdo! But you know, dad would not tell me not to take the bus anymore and adopt the initiative to send me to school. No he wouldn’t. All he could do was to tell me to be more vigilant, and to shout out loud if the man ever attempted to do something evil to me, as if I’m some idiot who has no common sense, and as if he’s some idiot who has no common sense too. Of course he dare not do something evil, he’d just be always on the look for the right chance to sit beside me again and cause me to feel profoundly uncomfortable! I HATE him for he’s such a big pervert! I’m asserting on myself that I will NOT tolerate with any of his stupid he-think-I-don’t-know-what-he’s-up-to thingy again! I might just give him a powerful kick on his spleen, a big fat slap on his face and a punch into his pot-belly. Somehow, he boarded the the other bus today which had taken me aback, but it was indeed a great relief.

Well, a great relief it is, for just that particular instant. It was at least some relief, wasn’t it? I managed to find a nice seat – with nobody beside – and started reading the first book of “Princess Diaries” over again since the brightness is sufficient compared to the other days. I was thinking how wonderful this morning had been since I get to make good use of the time by doing some reading and you know what’s the best part is? NO weird man sitting beside me! HA! But then, another foreigner boarded - "No, please~ No~~" I was praying hard - and there he sat right beside me when there are so many more free seats, and out of those unoccupied seats he had to sit with me, and he just ruined my otherwise beautiful morning just like that! I sort of hate him, because he sort of made me feel uncomfortable too. Urrgghh!

Don't talk to strangers! This was the the policy parents used to adopt for the safety and soundness their children, but come on, this is the 21st century and those are perverts we're dealing with. I wonder what happened to plain old stranger?
