Convergys hiring Work At Home Customer Service RepresentativesWhat I heard about Convergys:They offer benefits. Pay is anywhere from $9. - $9.50 per hour. Some lines offer an incentive for sales and metrics. Reps that I know have offered varied experiences with this company. Some love it and some have had bad experiences. I say, take it with a grain of salt. You never know if your training will have a bunch of fellow trainees that know nothing about computers or if you will get a strict trainer. Team leads can also vary. Also, these call center jobs all require employees to abide by certain call metrics for call time, after work time and some have sales goals. If you know this going into the job you will not be shocked when they tell you that your after work time is high and you must lower it!Some are used to call center work and love this job because not very many jobs provide medical, dental and 401k benefits and this one DOES! Enterprise Holdings is the parent company of multi-billion dollar brands Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Alamo Rent-A-Car, and National Car Rental. The Contact Center provides support to all three brands and their business operations. As a Work from Home Escalation Support Trainee, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service support to both internal and external customers with questions related to rentals in addition to escalated situations. You will field customer assistance calls related to a variety of escalated requests, including researching reservations, communicating branch policies, processing special requests, and handling roadside assistance calls.

Provide exceptional customer service and communicate information effectively to internal and external customers
Complete Escalation Support training and assist with handling customer concerns and escalated calls from customers

Maritz Research conducts consumer research studies by phone. We represent major corporations in industries like automotive, financial and telecommunications.
We are an outbound call center with At-Home interviewers sitting at workstations that have a computer, headset and telephone. Survey questions are read from the computers exactly as they are written. Customer responses are generally keyed into the computer using numeric keys or the mouse. For Quality and Training purposes all calls are recorded.
Interviewers must have a telephone landline, and the Maritz equipment (dialer) will call the employee's home phone line and dial the numbers for the employee. So there is never any long distance or local charges as a result of doing this job from home.

Interviewers must follow directions, procedures and instructions exactly in order to assure the quality and consistency of every survey. Interviewers must also use their time effectively in order to meet the quality and production standards and miss minimal time off from their schedule.

Qualification Requirements:

This post has been so popular due to the hiring spree going on at Sedgwick in their work from home opportunities, that I decided to update and re-post this job listing.

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Inc. manages claims for major employers. They currently have a few jobs that they hire home workers for. The job opening that most of my work at home friends apply for is the Service Center Assistant. As far as I know, this position entails taking claims information from the companies that Sedgwick contracts with. It is not a customer service or sales position. From what current representatives say, the absence of sales or customer service makes the job less stressful and more enjoyable. I believe it!

Update: I was called for an interview and actually hired, but then I was hired for my current full time job that I work outside the home so I had to decline the position with Sedgwick. I did apply several times before I was contacted. I also heard through the grapevine that Sedgwick has been taking many more clients and will be hiring more workers.

From what I understand, many applicants apply a few times and either receive a rejection letter or receive a call for an interview. Sometimes applicants wait several weeks to several months before receiving a call. Also, applicants with previous medical and/or claims experience are favored over those without this relevant experience.

Sedgwick offers full time employees a full benefits package. Not many work at home companies offer benefits let alone a full benefits package! I hear that the medical coverage is very good. I don't work for them, so I don't know the specifics, but nowadays "very good medical" is hard to find!

WAHM First World Problems

Some work at home jobs require that you show up on webcam for a portion of training or for meetings. I know that Kelly Services' Apple program has this requirement. I also heard a rumor that American Express will be requiring their home agents to show up on webcam for training.

I have had to do this (I trained for the Apple program) and it was a bummer to have to "get ready" for a work at home job! It was not a deal breaker, it just took away a little of the benefit of working from home and not having to get ready to be in front of people at work.

What are your experiences for showing up on webcam for a job (keep it clean, no adult industry jobs)?

Apptical is now hiring for the position of Customer Service Representative.

This job does not require any sales! That is one of the best parts. Also, no customer service problems to resolve. The job is mainly inbound calls from people giving medical information. Representatives read from a script and fill in the blanks on a form. Low stress, no sales!

Teleflora is currently hiring Temporary help for Mother's Day. These positions are only for the holiday they are hiring for. In rare cases the company will keep workers on for the next holiday. There is no guarantee that anyone will be kept on after the holiday (Mother's Day in this case). Seems like later in the year, workers will get hired on and more will be asked to stay for the big Valentines Day holiday.

Selling flowers is a lot of fun. I worked a temporary job with another flower company and I really enjoyed it.

Teleflora included a YouTube video at the end of the job posting. I love it when employers add little extras and jazz up their job listings!

American Express has been using home workers for a few years now, but they always contracted through other outsourcing call centers. Now the great news is that AmEx is hiring home workers directly!!

Current home workers for American Express report that they filled out an application on the American Express career site: Click here for AmEx job search To see if American Express is currently hiring home workers, you must type "Work at Home" in the job search. The job listing comes and goes as they hire for new training classes. So don't be surprised if it's there one day and gone the next. I suggest you have your resume ready and thinking cap on so when the position appears again you can JUMP ON IT!

If you get to apply you will need to fill out the application including all of the regular information like: work history, personal information, citizenship questions, etc. Pretty standard. Also be ready to upload your cover letter and resume. Then you will be lead to an assessment. Make sure you are ready for the assessment as they rely heavily on this for choosing candidates.

Some applicants report that they received a rejection letter the first or second time they applied. What they did and might work for you is to apply again using a different email address. I'm not promising that this will work, but if you try again with the same email address you may get the rejection letter automatically since they are going off of your last assessment you took. Using a new email will give you another chance to test.

Okay, one of the best parts about working from home for American Express is that they supply the equipment!
