6 of the Greatest Strengths of Introverts. When we judge someone as introverted, most of us mistakenly assume that this person is not like us. However, 30 to 50% of the population is composed of introverts. Gandhi, Einstein, Roosevelt and Mother Teresa were introverted, as were Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Clint Eastwood, and Barack Obama today. Being a big introvert myself, and reading Susan Cain’s “Quiet: The Power of Introverts / How to thrive in a world that can’t stop talking”, I finally stopped torturing myself the mind to believe that introversion was a big defect and worse; a psychological illness. “In our culture, snails are not considered very valiant animals – we constantly urge people to” come out of their shells “- but there is much to be said about bringing your home with you wherever you want. we’re going. “- Susan Cain In this post, we take a look at 6 strengths that make introverts personalities essential to the balance of our society. 1. They are thinkers They find their energy inside of themselves. This allows them to unleash their creativity and help them think outside the box. In their heads, they engage in deep conversations, ruminate on life, the universe, and take the time to think about what’s going on around them. Some of the greatest books, poems, theories of physics and business have emerged from the thoughts of introverts. 2. They think first and then talk Introverts think before speaking. They carefully consider the comments of others, stop and think before answering. 3. They are great listeners Learning by listening is a trait that introverts constantly demonstrate. Someone who listens and understands what is really in your heart is one of the superpowers of the introvert. They like to listen and if you need advice or support, what they will offer is something they will just give you. 4. They are faithful in their relationships Introverts are very selective about the people they want to spend their time with. Any relationship, whether commercial, social, or romantic, requires a substantial investment of time and energy for an introvert. For this reason, they are not always on the lookout for the next big meeting or the next connection that will help them climb the ladder. 5. They are great leaders Introverted leaders take into account the ideas of their teams and leave plenty of room for innovation. They are attentive and attach importance to personal relationships. They do not seek to impose their own opinion. They are able to better manage employees who show initiative. They do not need to give orders but support ideas, listen and be able to delegate to the most able employees. 6. They cultivate the mystery One of the most common comments that people make about Introverts is they are enigmatic or mysterious. One of the obvious reasons; they do not speak much and others have to guess what they think. Being mysterious can sometimes be a problem but at other times it can be an advantage because they can make you think they hide fascinating secrets. Conclusion Being an introvert has its advantages. You are less likely to blunder such as inadvertently insulting someone whose opinion is different from yours. Because you like to think, you are less likely to get bored when you are alone than someone who needs constant social stimulation. The only risk is that people who do not know you might think that you feel superior to others. But introverts are incredible and profound people. If you are one, then rejoice and build on your benefits. (If you’re not sure, here are 8 more signs you may be an introvert) Go out there and be your NEW BEST SELF! I’m rooting for you.
8 Tips To ‘Really’ Become The Best Version of Yourself!

There is a lot of talk in the various personal development blogs about “becoming the best version of oneself”. Indeed, when it comes to self-fulfillment, your main enemy is yourself: you know, this part in you that procrastinates, who can not keep his resolutions for more than 15 days … It is, therefore, a question of becoming better today than yesterday, better tomorrow than today, of making every effort to become the person one wants to be. So I asked myself what I did on a daily basis to become the best version of myself, and I came up with 8 tips that I want to share with you. And if, like many people, you set goals regularly without managing to hold them, these tips should talk to you 😉 1) I do not set too many goals at once Be selective! Do not start by setting a lot of goals that you will not reach for lack of time. Set goals that really motivate you, 3 at first, then choose new ones later once you’re comfortable with your current goals. At the moment, I have 3 major goals: to do sports 5 times / week to run a triathlon in February, to meditate every day to relax after intense days of work, And spend more time with your family And you, what are your 3 main objectives? 2) I define specific goals Setting a measurable goal is a very important first step towards success! “A well-defined goal is halfway through,” said Abraham Lincoln. Set deadlines and quantified targets, such as reading 30 minutes a day, playing sports twice a week, saving $300 a month or running a half marathon before the end of the year. The goals you set yourself must be S.M.A.R.T. 3) I create small rituals to counter the lack of motivation Create small rituals, choosing a time, a place to perform certain activities. For example, you can create a morning routine, get up a little earlier to meditate, read, or have a good breakfast. For my part, I meditate every day after work in the same place to create a habit and I have a sport session every Tuesday night with my friends that none of us would miss for anything in the world! 4) I share my goals with my loved ones As soon as I signed up for my next triathlon, I talked to my family, to put a little positive pressure on me. By sharing my goals with others, I make them more real. No more going back 😉 Several studies have shown that we are more likely to succeed if we share our goals with those around us. In 2013, Forbes cited a study that showed that people who did not share their goals reached less than 50% of the time, while others, on the contrary, reached their goals almost 75% of the time. 5) I monitor my progress regularly It is crucial to monitor progress regularly. As I progress towards my goals, I note the activities I’m doing on the notes app, and gain a better understanding of myself, which is a key element of success. It’s important to know where you are in relation to the goals you set, it gives you valuable feedback and motivates you. 6) I celebrate my little victories Rewarding me for the goals I’m achieving is one of the most effective tips I’ve tested. It helps me appreciate all the work done to get there. The ideal is to define the reward in advance, it will be an additional motivation to continue to progress. You managed to set up a meditation session in your everyday life? Give yourself a nice cushion of meditation. 7) I regularly review my goals My goals are not engraved in marble once and for all. I see them regularly as I reach them (or not) and the situation evolves. If I realize that I was too ambitious in the definition of my goal, I see it down. I advise you to do the same: you will reach your goals more easily and create a virtuous circle. 8) I do not judge myself Setting up new habits is not a health walk. Sometimes after a good phase of success, it gets a little worse. In those moments, I keep in mind that momentary declines are part of the process. On average, people who arrive to stop smoking, for example, do it again seven times before it’s the right one! Yes, it’s frustrating to have the feeling of “regressing”. But if one judges oneself too hard in those moments, one risks giving up definitively, rather than accepting that there will certainly be ups and downs before one gets there. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering. “Always Do Your Best. What you are planting now, you will harvest later.” Og Mandino Conclusion Follow these steps and success will be knocking on your door. Just remember that the moment to become your best self is NOW. So, be determined to bring out the best in you TODAY. Go out there and be your NEW BEST SELF! I’m rooting for you. Before you go… If you enjoyed this article, leave me a comment. You can also read about something interesting here. It’s an Awesome surprise

Over the past couple of days, I have heard a lot of chitchat about task management apps. Which one is the Best? So I’ve decided to dive deep and get you- the ones I think- the best of the best 3 apps for task management. And I’m also going to throw in one kind of oddball recommendation that doesn’t really fit in with the other three but might be useful for certain viewers, so let’s get into it. P.S. I’m not sponsored by any of these apps. The opinions here are just based on personal experience. #1. App for Task Management Todoist All right, so the number one app on my list which you’ve probably seen if you’ve ever looked at the resources page and my website or ask me about it on Twitter is Todoist. And just to kind of spoil this post a little bit for you, I think that to Todoist is probably the best to-do app out there in terms of features and capabilities. The number one feature that offers something that I find invaluable in my workflow is natural language processing, which means that you can add tasks along with all the details needed for those tasks, such as tags and due dates and assignees and things like, that just by typing what you want in the main taskbar or by saying it. I’m also a big fan of the quick add feature. When I’m using the app on my desktop or in the browser, I can just have the letter Q or I can just hit the plus button on my iPhone and I can easily enter a task in seconds, and that reduces a lot of friction in my system. Additionally, I’m a big fan of its integration with voice assistance. It’s got Siri integration and it’s also got Amazon Echo integration. But if I want to I can easily tell my Echo to add a task and it gets automatically added to my inbox, and I love that since I have several of them in my house. That being said, not everything is perfect with Todoist. I do think that the way it handles subtasks is a little dated. I’m not a big fan of how you just indent things in your main task list instead of having a real subtasks view. And additionally, the windows app doesn’t work quite like the desktop app, the Mac app or even the mobile apps. Additionally, Todoist is not the cheapest app and the personal productivity space, especially since they just raised the prices to $4 a month, so that might be a bit of a turnoff. Though it is worth mentioning that there is a student discount, though they did make the baffling decision to require people to sign up for a business account before asking for it, even still, it reduces the price down to about a 1.50 per month, so if you are a college student that is an option for you. However, if you are a price-conscious person, or you’re just somebody who doesn’t want to pay a monthly subscription fee for your to-do list app, then there’s something else that you’re going to want to look at, and that is… #2. App for Task Management Microsoft To-Do. Let me level with you here. If you’re somebody who just does not want to pay for a to-do list application and you have simple needs, then I think Microsoft To-Do is the absolute best option on the market right now. A couple of years ago, I would not have made this recommendation as to when it came out as the replacement for Wunderlist, there were a lot of missing features. But over the past couple of years, Microsoft’s team has added a lot of needed features to the app and honestly, it’s pretty darn good, especially for having absolutely no premium tier whatsoever. You’ve got the ability to make multiple projects. You can color-code those projects. Subtasks actually work like they’re supposed to, and unlike Todoist’s free plan, you can add comments and file attachments to your tasks in Microsoft To-Do without paying anything. This is actually the main reason why I recommend Microsoft to do over Todoist, it’s a free plan if you just don’t want to pay. I do think Todoist is more powerful overall, but I think a lot of people are going to want the ability to add descriptions and comments to their tasks, like say if you want to set up a PO box, and you need to put the address of the post office box in the task, you have to pay for that with Todoist. Now, granted Microsoft To-Do does not have natural language features, so you do have to set your due dates and stuff like that manually, but if you want something simple I think it really works. And it also has some pretty cool features that you’re not going to find other apps, such as the My Day feature which doesn’t pull tasks based on due dates but instead lets you manually add tasks from your list. Now, of course, there are some things with Microsoft To-Do that I don’t like. For instance, there isn’t a dedicated Mac app right now, so just like To-Do is on the Windows side, I’ve got to use Microsoft To-Do in the browser. Additionally, like I said earlier, it is not quite as powerful as other apps like Todoist. You don’t have the natural language features, you don’t have tags and filters and smart lists and things like that, but again, if you don’t want to pay and you want something simple, I think it is a very compelling option. That brings us to my third recommendation on this list, which is an app called… #3. App for Task Management TickTick. And if you’ve ever used TickTick before, you probably know that it is strangely similar to Todoist. Just like Todoist, it’s got those natural language features that allow you to get tasks into your system very quickly and have it just parse all the information you want instead of having to set it yourself. It’s got tags you can add to your tasks and it’s got something called smart lists, which function basically the exact same way that filters do in Todoist. But there are some features in TickTick that you’re not going to find in Todoist. Just for example, there is a built-in calendar view, so if you want to look at your tasks on a by week or by month basis, you can actually do that. There are start times, you can add your tasks, which I don’t personally use, but some people find it to be very useful. There is a built-in Pomodoro timer that can actually be tied to your tasks, so if you want to do Pomodoros throughout the day and actually bind them to the tasks you have in your system, you can do that and sub-tasks actually work the way that they should. You click into a task and you can see your sub-tasks along with all the related information like file attachments and comments. Beyond that, there are even more features in TickTick such as desktop widgets, which I kind of irrationally love. Not sure why I liked them so much, but it’s kind of cool to have like a semi-transparent box on my desktop with all my tasks. And on the mobile side, there’s a feature called Plan My Day, which helps to intelligently plan out what you want to get done on a given day. Given all these features and the fact that TickTick is cheaper than Todoist at $28 a year versus their $36 a year, it might seem like TickTick is the better option, and for some people, it might be, but there are a few caveats. For one TickTick does have those natural language features, but they’re not as strong as the ones found in Todoist. For example, I can’t use T-O-M for tomorrow, I actually have to type out the entire thing. And when I’m using a really complex request, like having a task with a specific first due date along with a recurring option, it can’t really parse it. Todoist handles it like a champ, but I have to go in and manually set that kind of thing up in TickTick. Additionally, there is no two way Google Calendar sync in TickTick, so while you do have that built-in calendar view, if you want to actually look at it on your Google Calendar, you can’t quite do that as well as you can on Todoist, and perhaps most importantly of all, their free plan is very limited, you can only have nine lists. That brings us to my oddball recommendation, which really isn’t that odd, it just kind of exists outside of the realm of the simple to-do list style apps that most of you guys are probably familiar with. Bonus My final recommendation for this post is something called… #4. App for Task Management ClickUp. It is an app that you have probably categorize as project management software instead of a simple to-do list app. Project management apps which, don’t really include tools we’ve already talked about but do include tools like Asana and Jira and ClickUp are a little better suited for managing really complex projects with lots of moving parts, different tasks, statuses and for managing teams. Now for a long time, I was a big Asauna user mainly because my friend Matt got me on it and it was pretty useful, but after testing ClickUp, I think it is probably the most useful and most full-featured project management app that I’ve ever tried, and it might also work for personal productivity. ClickUp gives you a ton of different ways to look at your tasks. You’ve got a normal list view, you’ve got a board view, it just kind of Trello or Kanban style. You’ve got a calendar view or you can go full project manager and even look at Gantt charts. When it comes to creating tasks. You basically have all the options. There is a full-fledged hybrid markdown editor for descriptions that rivals notions or slights. There’s the ability to add sub-tasks and checklists, and you can generate these checklists from templates, in fact, you can generate entire tasks from templates. And of course, you got your due dates, recurring due dates with more options than you can shake a stick at. There are task watchers and you can even assign multiple people to one task. And then there are the tools. There’s the ability to minimize tasks to a task tray, which kind of gives you the ability to make a little daily list of tasks you’re going to work on. There’s a notepad feature built into the app for making just scratch notes, and possibly my favorite additional tool is their Chrome extension because it lets you take a screenshot of a webpage and append it to an existing task or make a new task out of it. So if you’re the kind of person who wants incredibly fine-grained control over every aspect of your life, where you want to take heavy advantage of templating and team features, then ClickUp might be something to look at. And that being said, after testing ClickUp extensively for a couple of weeks, I ended up making the decision to move back to Todoist. And the main reason for doing that is that ClickUp just gives too many options. And we found that there was a lot of friction involved and adding new tasks to the system and out where they should go. Whereas in Todoist, we can use those natural language features to get something into the system really quickly. However, during that testing period, I was really impressed with all the different features they’re offering, and I do think that it offers a lot more...

Like all sports activities, a running session is not limited to physical effort. It also takes some mental strength to resist the pain and “hold” as long as possible. Here are my 5 ways you can strengthen your mind and keep at it till the end of your workout. 1. Accept the “no pain, no gain” philosophy. It works! There is obviously no secret to managing your effort. Nevertheless, there is an important step towards fulfilling its objective: to accept that one must suffer. No bread, no gain as the Anglo-Saxons say. Forcibly, and even if the legs seem to advance alone, you will experience less good moments during your outing running. Preparing for an empty passage will already allow you to bear better. 2. Identify your limits and try to surpass them. It is also important to know your limits. Move forward knowing your body. That is, you must be able to stay at the threshold for a long time without going into the red. For that, you must (re) learn the signs inducing the possible beginning of failure and adjust your effort accordingly. Knowing your abilities, you will be able to explain your performance in a rational way and this will allow you to mentally apprehend them. 3. Set different goals. One little step at a time. Often, some situations lead to lower confidence. Ineluctably, many of you will begin to think that “it becomes difficult” and would quit. It’s up to you to be mindful not to let yourself slip into that state. Unless the body no longer follows, obviously …To stay on the threshold, do not think about the time or distance you have left. Set goals close in time or course. They will indeed be much easier to accept and hold than to visualize the whole. Choose a landmark, identify it, and turn it into a goal. A tree, a sign, a turn … Everything is possible The goal is to hang on to that point before focusing on the next one. You will progress in steps until the end. 4. Take a step back on your feelings For long efforts, you can also check-in. The principle is to take stock of your body, an inventory of fixtures during your race. Mentally, sift through all parts of your body. This is the moment when you notice that you are struggling or contracting too much of your body. 5. Talk to yourself! Stay positive! Be positive. Your inner monologue should not be negative and destructive for your effort. Anyone who loves running, like any athlete in general, has negative thoughts that come to him during an effort. And what the mind thinks, the body feels it. Become aware of these negative thoughts and change them with positive thoughts: “I can,” “I am,” “I go,” and so on. If you do not succeed you can always try to distract the mind by focusing on something other than your effort. Hence the music in the ears of some … As any sportsman will tell you, legs without a head are nothing. The mind is surely harder to work than the physical. So, hang in there! Conclusion Follow these steps and success will be knocking on your door. Just remember that the moment to become your best self is NOW. So, be determined to bring out the best in you TODAY. Go out there and be your NEW BEST SELF! I’m rooting for you. Before you go… If you enjoyed this article, leave me a comment. You can also read about something interesting here.

Do you know who your worst enemy is? No, it’s not that unbearable colleague you have to grapple with all day long, nor this woman who can not help but notice you every time you meet her during sports. Go make an effort … Do you know that person who is never satisfied with you, whatever you do? Who judges you and discourages you systematically? Who’s always whispering in your ears that “you are not going to get there” so you’d better give up? Well, I want to talk about you, or rather this little voice that pretends to be you and that we call the “Impostor“. The impostor is this negative and automatic inner speech that passes itself for you and that brings you very logical reasoning to prevent you from advancing. In short, a real hindrance to going around in circles that does everything to get rid of the happiness you deserve! The question I want to ask you now is: do you want to regain control of your life and put this damn impostor out of your life? If the answer is yes, great! So read my 4 ways to kick his behind today. And if the answer is no … Well, you can still read this post to the end, I may even succeed in convincing you. Who knows? 1. Learn to recognize the ‘Impostor’ The ‘Impostor’ is quite easy to recognize as his vocabulary is poor: he usually uses phrases like “You’re going to ruin everything”, “You’re too stupid to succeed”, “You’re going to look or sound ridiculous”… In short, his speech is very limiting; it is there to prevent you from evolving and to keep you in your “comfort zone”, and to ensure that you will not relive the ‘painful‘ experiences of the past. My advice: In moments of doubt or stress, pay attention to what is going on inside you! what negative thoughts are systematically coming back? Do they have a specific connection with the experience of your past? The more you will be able to identify in what situations it manifests itself and understand how it works and the less power it will have on you. 2. The ‘Impostor’ is not your friend Throughout your life, you have developed behaviors in order not to relive the painful experiences of the past that your impostor has perfectly integrated those. As a result, he will not hesitate to remind you of them whenever you plan to venture out of your comfort zone, sowing doubt, inaction or a whole assortment of paralyzing emotions. Yes! It does love you that much and is ready to go that extra mile to ‘protect’ you. Honestly, would you treat a friend that way? Would you try to have a motivating and reassuring speech or would you systematically criticize – as the impostor does – everything that person does? No, of course not. Your impostor is not your friend: he does not want you well, he just wants to prevent you from realizing yourself. My advice: Do not confuse “impostor” and “intuition”. The first will systematically anticipate your future negatively – though it is unable to predict it – while the second will know what is best for you and will always make you see possibilities. 3. The impostor always has something to say to you Behind every intervention of your impostor, there is an unsatisfied need or lack that needs to be filled: love, attention, respect, acceptance … Unfortunately, your impostor is smart and knows how to make himself loud enough so that you can not hear these messages. The relationship you lead with him is based on fear (not to succeed, not to be up to it …) you are in some ways “forced” to adhere to a speech that gives rise to painful emotions in you. The first step to free yourself from your impostor is to understand what is the need behind the different things that need to be expressed. The more you listen to these messages, the less they will seek to be heard. Your impostor will have a lot more trouble coming to annoy you … My advice: Any process of change involves doing work on oneself, and the first thing is to be honest with oneself. Take some paper and a pencil, and try to answer the following questions as honestly as possible: Am I happy? What is my ideal of life? Or what’s not a match in my present life? Identifying clearly what weighs you on a daily basis will help you better understand what is preventing you from fully realizing yourself. 4- Customize your impostor You will surely understand, your impostor is not you: it’s just a little voice that is there to devalue you, slow you down and prevent you from realizing yourself. He is not your intuition, let alone your friend. In short, it is an undesirable which you must absolutely separate to be the best version of yourself And to get there, there is a very simple technique – I guarantee it – works perfectly: customize it! To begin, give it a name: masculine, feminine … You decide. Then try to materialize it, it will make things even more concrete. You can imagine it as being a person, an animal, a storyteller … The more clarity you have in your mind, the easier it will be to put it back in its place when it gets boring. My advice: Whatever you do, your saboteur will always be at your side. The only difference is that you now know that he has his own existence and that he does not know what is best for you (since he thinks only of himself). So the next time he comes to belittle you, tell him he does not deserve that you give him so much importance and imagine him shrinking, shrinking … It’s you who decide, not him. And you can decide that you are worth a lot better than him.

How to motivate yourself? Motivate yourself to hold your good resolutions, to motivate yourself to play sports, to succeed in school, or to lose weight … This is a difficult question that we are constantly confronted with. And yes, motivation is a huge program! How do you stay motivated? How do you cope with lower motivation? What about this tendency to procrastinate that many of us have? Today My New Self tries to give you some wise advice. To all those who lack motivation, Please remember that everything that has value in life requires effort. Do you want to be in excellent physical shape and in good health? You must make the effort to exercise regularly and prepare healthy dishes. Want to learn a new language? You must make the effort to learn the grammar, spelling, and vocabulary of the language and practice it often. Want to create a successful blog? You must make the effort to regularly write quality posts for at least several months before seeing the first results. But to provide all these efforts, we need motivation. The problem is that our motivation is never constant, it fluctuates. Sometimes we are extremely motivated and we feel we can move mountains, sometimes we feel completely unmotivated and we doubt everything. So how do you motivate yourself? How can we ensure that we keep a constant motivation to accomplish what is most important to us? This is what we will see in this post. Motivational waves Like it or not, our level of motivation fluctuates constantly. This is a phenomenon to be expected when you want to do something. When we start a sports program, for example, we’re super stoked, full of hopes. We imagine ourselves more athletic, more fit and better in our skin. And that’s often what motivates us at first. But quickly the motivation is out of steam and leaves room for the first obstacles. The results we expected were not as good as we had hoped. In short, we are in the hollow of the wave. And then one day a friend learns about our newly-started journey, congratulates us and tells us that he wants to do some sessions with us. It re-ignites us and we feel ready to fight again … until reality catches up with us again and we lose our motivation. These motivational waves are destabilizing because they are difficult to control. Some people will tell you that it is possible to motivate yourself on demand by visualizing in detail the results you are trying to achieve or remembering why you started. The reality is that very few people do it. And the reason is simple: controlling our motivation requires a lot of energy and discipline. You can visualize in detail your dream body in the summer on the beach, if you are not motivated, it will not help you to run a 1:30 to -5 ° C in the middle of winter. Do you need anything else… The solution is not to try to control these waves of motivation but rather to surf on them. Surf the waves of motivation Our level of motivation determines the things we are able to do. When we are above the wave that is when our level of motivation is at its peak, we are able to do the most difficult things. That is to say, those that require the most effort and energy. Running in the cold when one is very motivated for example is quite feasible. It’s not something that intimidates us. However, as our level of motivation goes down, we are less and less able to do difficult things. And when we are in the trough of the wave and our level of motivation is at its lowest, then we are very limited in terms of tasks or activities that can be accomplished. A simple action such as putting on our shoes to go running, for example, may seem insurmountable. In order not to let our level of motivation influence what we are able to accomplish, we must absolutely maximize the moments when we are motivated. Let’s see how with the next 3 points. When motivation is high, do difficult things that will structure your future behaviors When we are motivated, we must put in place a few productive systems, to improve our behavior when we are less motivated. For example, if you are very motivated to play sports at a certain time, you can contact a sports coach and pay to make an appointment with him. In this way when we are less motivated, we will be forced to play sports because we will be committed to a coach and we can not backtrack. So we do something difficult while we are motivated (engage and pay a sports coach), something engaging, to structure our future behaviors. 2. When motivation is high, do difficult things that make your life easier If you want to go on a diet, for example, and you are motivated enough to go to the organic store and buy some fruits and vegetables, you can also take the opportunity to wash them, cut them and put them in the Tupperware. This way when we have little motivation, we can cook quick and healthy dishes easily, precisely because we have pre-cut these fruits and vegetables. By doing the hardest work when you’re motivated, you make your life easier by making the moments when you’re less motivated more productive. 3. When motivation is high, do things that increase your abilities When motivated, you have all the energy you need to learn new things (including difficult things). And often the skills that are unlocked during this learning allow us to act productively when our motivation is weak. For example, if you want to eat healthier, you can learn new recipes when you are motivated and then redo them easily when you are less motivated. A recipe is a lot easier to follow when you’ve done it at least once. “Motivational” Conclusion To conclude, it is possible to motivate oneself and to obtain results. However, it requires a lot of effort and discipline. Generally one can only keep the rhythm one time. This is the reason why many of us do not keep their resolutions. It is better to take advantage of moments when we are motivated to put in place productive systems and habits that will follow us even when we are not motivated. In this way, we remain productive whatever our level of motivation. So get out there and try to be the Best Version of Yourself.

“I’m not creative.” I bet that this little sentence has already crossed your mind more than once, under the pretext that you consider (wrongly) that you have no particular talent … Am I right? Well at the risk of contradicting you, you are as creative as any artist (yes, yes). The only difference between the two of you is that he is aware of his potential and knows how to exploit it whereas you do not. Have you ever watched a child play and invent games from almost nothing? Or heard the fantastic stories that his little mind is able to invent? There is no limit to children’s imagination, and you know why? Because they do not try to know if what they do is rational or not and above all, they do not limit themselves as much as adults do. When we see all the joy that the imagination gives them, we would almost envy this wonderful potential that we’ve lost growing up … Lost? Not really. Let’s say rather that he is dormant in us and that it would not be much necessary to wake him up … Here are 5 tips to stimulate your creativity and breathe some fresh air into your life. Do not limit yourself. The first rule to respect when you want to develop your creativity is not to put any brakes or try to follow the logic. You have been accustomed to rejecting most of the ideas that come to your mind because you find them “uninteresting,” “futile,” or “unusable.” Let Go of SELF-JUDGMENT!!! Your ideas are valuable and can serve you well later. Something catches your attention? Note it without asking any questions about its usefulness, because it’s a safe bet that it will become a day! The only place where your dreams are impossible is in your head. Robert Schuller 2. Return to childhood As I said earlier, children have a great ability to imagine games and stories from small details … which gives them great joy. Forget what you’ve learned so far and learn to look at the world through the eyes of the little girl you were: take the time to watch the drops of water falling on the window, the wind that makes you move the leaves or those clouds in the sky that have a strange shape … It does not matter whether it means something or not. What matters is the pleasure you will derive from it. By opening your eyes and ears to the world around you, you will be better able to capture inspiration wherever it is. “Creativity is the ability to observe the ordinary to find the extraordinary. Dewitt Jones 3. Get inspired Now that you have opened your mind on a large scale, you will have to feed it … Because creativity is like a sport: it keeps going! Learn to be curious and absorb inspiration wherever it is: in magazines, on social networks, in the stores you love … Observe every detail and ask yourself why it pleases you: does it cause you a particular emotion? Does that make you want to create something? Do you feel a particular energy when you look at a particular person? Feel free to vary the sources of inspiration to enrich your mind and bring out new ideas. You can not exhaust creativity. The more you use it, the more you have of it. Maya Angelou 4. Collect Creativity is a kind of energy that circulates: thoughts come as quickly as they leave. If a brilliant idea arises in your mind, do not tell yourself that you are going to keep it in a corner of your head … For it is almost certain that it won’t stay there! Always have a notebook with you to write down your ideas when they happen, making sure to specify what they are about, which will help you remember when the time comes. You can also start a notebook or a creative workbook, where you will keep the clippings you like, the pictures you find pretty or small pieces of colored paper for example. Your findings will allow you to create a kind of “creative pool” in which you only have to draw to inspire you when you need it … Which, as you can imagine, is very stimulating! The curiosity of life in all its aspects is, I think, the secret of great creatives. Leo Burnett 5. JUST GET STARTED Now that you have a tremendous amount of ideas, all you have to do is do something with it. Start by organizing the items you have collected (whether your notes, articles or still photos) by classifying them by themes. Then try to see what comes out of it. Are there themes that stand out more than others? Images that convey particular emotions? By observing and analyzing them, you will understand which areas are most fulfilling and which could enable you to harness your creativity more concretely. Do you like the picture? For example, you could decide to make it a real hobby! Do you have a taste for decoration and writing? You should consider creating your own blog! Conclusion Finding the activity that makes you vibrate is still the best way to maintain your creativity while having fun … So go ahead, GET OUT THERE AND BE THE BEST VERSION OF YOURSELF! Creativity is intelligence having fun. Albert Einstein
