For the past year or so, I've been hard at work on a gigantic new game design: DIE in a Dungeon.

It's a solo/cooperative version of the original game design I pulled the DUNGENERATOR dungeon-generating cards out of, and it's probably the coolest thing I've made so far!

Right! I've gone ahead and updated a bunch of pages and posted about a bunch of projects from this year, and now I'll quickly summarize some of the cool stuff:

For a few months now, I've been teaming up with Bawss Sawss (my bro, who is kind enough to lend his video editing skills to my Kickstarter campaign videos and our YouTube channel, 2 Headed Hero) and Outside Realms (his buddy Bjorn; great guy, great programmer) to make Goblins Never DIE!

It's inspired by games like Vampire Survivors (dodge around and survive against waves of many enemies, but with simple one-handed controls) and Pikmin (lead a group of lil guys that have their own little personalities and desires), and if all goes well, it'll be the first full video-game design that I'll have published!

ODD GOBS, a game written by John Baltisberger and with art, layout and some special sauce by me, is available now!

It was designed to fit on a really slick accordion-folding pocket map so you can pull it out and run it with whatever dice/coins you have on hand and some pencils or finger paints or human blood or whatever.

It was a ton of work, but I'm really happy with the final result!

ORC BORG has crash landed!

I was honored to team up with prolific TTRPG writer Grant Howitt (Spire, Heart, Goblin Quest, Honey Heist) earlier this year to create ORC BORG: a standalone, space-orc-themed, Mork-Borg-powered romp in the form of a big, loud zine!

In it you'll find, amongst other things:

Everything you need to make an obsessive weirdo desperately trying to accelerate the apocalypse
New guns, powered and unpowered melee weapons, and lots of miscellaneous bits and pieces to steal from anyone foolish enough to leave them unguarded on account of being dead
Rules for piloting, fighting and stealing legendary Big Robots such as BANG TEN THOUSAND, MASSIVE PROBLEM, and RUST BITCH
Cybernetic limb replacement rules and a unique orc cyborg class called, ingeniously, the ORCBORG
Guidance for jamming existing dungeon maps into the Derelict to avoid doing any actual prep work
Two new kinds of Power: distilled Technowizardry (Summon a monorail car! 3D-print your dinner!) and yell-powered Orc Prayers (Make guns much louder, and therefore much deadlier! Get twice as big!)
You'll also be able to roll up new orcs on the fly with GENERATORC, a free web-based character generator! They wiggle around and make noises, even!

and it's a deck of cards used to generate dungeons! There are 52 room cards with 60+ pieces of hand-inked art by me, with a clever mechanism that ensures each dungeon is twisty, organic, and full of nice visual prompts for you (or your DM)!

I bring to you GOBLINKTOBER, a goblin-themed Inktober event of my own devising!

Hello there!

I'm ROLLINKUNZ!

I'm an illustrator and game designer who loves ink-heavy art and low-brow themes and tabletop microgames and abstracting complex systems and emergent gameplay and dungeons and dragons and Dungeons & Dragons and maps and building and comics and oh, boy! Lots of stuff!

You may notice some broken image links down below in my archives. This has something to do with a new image storage/linking method that Facebook/Instagram is using. Instead of worrying about manually fixing all of that, I'm just going to change how I'm using this website.

No longer will this be a mashup of all of the interesting social media stuff I spread out over the Internet; instead, this will be a repository of my personal projects. Namely: games!

This is a good thing. You'll still see my cool Instagram feed down below, and you can still follow the Twitter games I run over on their respective profiles (or combined on my Tumblr). This is just going to keep my main website streamlined, simple, and focused, so you no longer have to fear following me via email. I'll only update once in a while, and only with particularly cool stuff (like a new game project in development, or a new free game).

If you want to see some cool games projects, click on "PROJECTS -> GAMES" in the top menu!

The "GALLERY" category (all of my art) probably won't work very well for a moment, so I guess I'll archive a bunch of the latest stuff until it... works again? If ever? You can still see it on Instagram and Facebook and Twitter and such, so no worries there!

SIMIANAUTS is in development!

It's a tabletop engine-building / resource management game that aims to be quick to play and balance thoughtful planning with a hint of primate-powered chaos.

Each player represents a global superpower in an alternate-dimension 1960s Space Race, hoping to be the first to smash a rocketship into the Moon, thereby claiming it as their own!

The problem:

Nobody has the technology to reach the Moon.

The solution:

Launch those rockets anyway, manned by disposable monkeys, and build them during the journey!
