Natural resources

I've heard that we dont have many resources here besides coal and gas and dwindling timber , but i think there is a great number of them overlooked, peoples talents. If you think about it , we have many many people in our lives here that are characters all their own and people who were gifted in music and even in acting because im sure you've run across a con artist or two in this place. The talents and characters are not all we have , we have many stories and tales that we've collected throughout our lives , or we heard anyway.
I think maybe the media industry would find a great amount of people to work with and stories to be told because if I've noticed anything in life its that where we all come from and how we act can be much different from the rest of the world , this place is pretty unique if you ask me , or the people are anyway.. You never know what you can do unless your given the opportunity to do it and before you know it , it can catch on like wild fire. I've seen allot of people waist their talents here , and it saddens me , they just never had the opportunity to try or were encouraged , its my hope that this is something we can all change and notice about ourselves.

Is it me or is the top income earners in this country trying to take us back to the nineteen twenties ?
The energy companies are saying they are broke and need help yet they post record profits in all of history , is it right they get brakes and we get cuts? how obvious does it have to be that the corporations and the rich are minipulating the system ? Here ive linked a video from the floors of congress , its finally showing to some people , but it seems the others have their backs turned on them for speaking out about downfall of the middle and lower class.
You've probably heard about the banana republics of south america , the few land and company holders and rich control the flow of everything , well we're falling into the category i'm afraid. There has to be a dramatic change in the system we live in , to not just help the middle class but the lower class , programs to feed the poor and shelter the homeless are what this country should be about , to give everyone an equal start and opportunity in america , as it should be.

Isn't it odd how word travels so quickly? I think so, and not just word, your name can travel very far too you just have to open up and put yourself out there, as for what you say, well if its well thought out and pretty good to read that can travel very far too, I've found this out personally. Before you know it people who are in the buisness of putting words out will take notice and whether or not money is involved really isnt important to me at this point i just really like that my opinion travels so far. It's like this blog, there are many many people outside my own country who have been here and seen what i wrote, that amazed me, but it makes you think also, maybe the world isn't as big as you think, and it is a small world after all.

Todays music & Yesterdays

I've enjoyed music a long time in my life , but i didn't really start to widen my musical list untill i was in my teens , i suppose no one really knows when they catch that music addiction. I think though that i caught the addiction at the perfect time, the mid 90s, when, for my generation, it got to be at its highest, when such bands as nirvana and stone temple pilots and many many others got to be big in the industry and influenced many people, and still does, i know people who wern't even born untill the 90s and they pick up listening to the same stuff i was just begining to enjoy. But i have to say i dont think a persons generation has to listen to the generations music, i mean i wasnt born untill 81 but now i listen to music way before my time as do many i guess , the point is , even though a certain music is past its prime theres a market still for it. Now i never was a sports person, or really even played many as i just sucked at it, but i joined highschool band, and i know most people in my generation considered band to be full of loosers and nerds, loosers and nerds were there but most people i knew in band were as much troublemakers or popular as anyone else. I find it sad that funding for band programs are threatned, it influenced me alot, but not everyone can play music as much as they enjoyed listening to it, as i couldnt play sports well i think there was just as many jocks who couldnt play music like i did. My brother is a little of both , he loves to play sports but he loves guitar just as much, i hope many people in the newer generations can learn to enjoy both too, regardless music from the past and present will influence the future.

I currently learned , by watching C-Span , that our government can arrest someone for being a terrorist and hold them in prison as long as they want , why does this concern me? Well if you look it up its pretty scary what they can do now and just bypass the constitution , like for instance , did you know if you have more than 7 days of food in your house you can be considered a terrorist? There was many more things like that , that's what scares me , im sure its no problem now , but in the future these laws could be a big problem for everyday normal citizens , all i can say to you is look it up for yourself , you would be surprised at alot of it......

I think there way too much clutter on the web these days , for instance , you try to complete a survey in the hopes that you might receive a free gift of some kind. Well not only do you have to complete the survey , there is a survey on the survey , and sponser's of the survey have things they want you to see , and then before you know it you have entirely too many browser windows open , but i suppose like life the internet is full of BS too!

forgotten holidays

there are many holidays already but there are some that have faded away , even some that i cant remember , well one comes to mind , evacuation day , it was durring the revolutionary war and im not versed exactly on what it pertains to but from what i gather , all the patriots during the war were locked away on boats , but these boats were on dry dock , in other words ships on land , anyway , these men were crammed in a dirty old ship for months and years and all because they would not declare their loyalty to the crown , i learned most of this from the daily show , it was an eye opener , lincoln made thanksgiving what it is , but before that was evacuation day , if anyone out there has more information about these men who went through terrible times for our freedom please comment and for those who didnt know , maybe you should go research this , in fact , that's what im going to do right now ...................

okay , i did put up ads on this site , id like to point out that im not for these candidates at all , yet they payed this site to put up ads , haha , crazy , if im for anyone its Ron Paul , but im not republican , im not democrat if anything im a little libertarian , but im not saying im anything yet becuase all this is just crazy , we shouldnt be voting for a party , we should be voting for a President. so untill i figure out how to ROMOVE these ads just over look them , or if your for them click them i dont care , but i just wanted my readers to know my stance.

It seems like to me , that knowledge ,truth , and reality is fogged to most people , by that i mean , they like to live in their dream world where they accept what they are told and not what is the truth , I myself try to voice what is going on in the world , and how things really are but most people are irritated even at the fact that this could be , like its a slap in the face. I guess it all boils down to being open minded , and alot of people arnt , just like this , i believe in freedom of speech and religion and whatever thats what this country is all about but im labeled a liberal , and they make it out to be a bad thing , whats so bad about freedom? well i think its time we end this conservative and liberal argument , because neither side truely knows what its about or why it was started , your taking credit for someone elses ideas and changing it to suit your views , thats just wrong , on both sides. should i even go into the media conspiracys? i mean common its obvious they try to brainwash you , and if u ask me , the country has gotten worse since fox news was on the air , distorting the truth. and when it comes to the country and the world , there is a conspiracy , even JFK knew about back then and we all know how that ended , truth is , anyone thats a threat to their agenda is blacked out and erased or taken away somehow. I just wish more people would open their eyes , minds , and hearts and see whats going on and be more open minded and not shut off ,closed in and stubborn on everything that isnt suitable to you.

Ive been trying to open peoples minds and have them speak what they believe and not be brainwashed by modern society as it si , we are free people we can voice our opinions keep our privacy as long as it doesnt harm others and we should be able to say yes i can do and speak and believe what i want without a constant system telling you what is important , we should be ourselves and that what the constitution is about and learn love and understand but its become foggy and when you even speak of this the people who have always looked to the government for their beilefs get mad , i hate when it happens but i think mostly people get scared to think of it .

I myself can say im neither a republican or democrat although since my county has no democratic party i have to be registered republican or i dont get to vote , very much a Bad thing but that's small town politics for you , sad as it is , I would say im more democrat or Liberal than conservative , but the way things are going in this country i dont want to be a part of that side either , neither do i want to be on the tea party so I guess I'm just plain old American.
Anyway as i got hooked into watching the debates last night the only person that i could see myself being on the side of was ron paul , because he seems to be a republican with democratic views , maybe that's what we need. But no matter how much his debate made sense the republican party seems to shrug him off and I know why , He is for the 99 percent of us against the big banks and corporations with the big tax breaks the republican party seems to want to hold on to as if this trend is helping? I dont know what part of the majority i am in but im sure im not a part of whatever party is backing these monster's of money and its sad to see how Americans can be fooled so easily by them to keep them complacent, now this is just my opinion on corporations banks and other wall street "monsters" but why are the so called free markets not so free as they say it is , small buisness is becoming extinct and this is sad for many reasons but small buisness is what is great about this country and its being took out to the pasture so to speak. I'm For Sure NOT a republican , and whats sad is that i Was a republicanin my stance before the war , but i guess war and economics has a way of changing peoples views , i am a liberal in that i share many of the liberal views but i cannot say for sure im a democrat because lets face it both parties have become stale.

Aids cure?

Last night i was sent various videos on the cure for aids , i admit that the cure is completely possible , that's not what concerns me , what concerns me is the fact that one of these video's seems to have proof that the world health orginazation came up with the disease as a way to thin out over population and "undesirable's" such as the gay community and minority races here in the u.s. , I've always heard the rumor and myth that it was all a secret conspiracy invented by the governments of the world but this was the first time i have actually heard anything that seems real to the matter , and in a way it scared me , but also , didn't surprise me much i came to find out. It is very likely drug manufactures would like to keep a "cure" under raps , because it would only make them loose money on these very expensive treatment drugs that they manufacture. Also it would be in the interest of every doctor to keep the public sick so that they will have repeatly and non stopping clients in which they could bill and also bill government agencies and keep it all a full circle buisness to benefit the higher up elite's in the world , I know this all seems likely just a myth and or rumor but take it on yourselves to think about it wont you? law enforcement

Once upon a time i was a private security guard , i had the uniform(of my own design) and the title of which was corporal , but i also carried a tiny pepper spray canister , i never used it , and i didn't carry a gun , which i must state at the time i wasn't old enough to carry a gun but i don't think i would've carried one anyway it wasn't my thing to push my power onto others or intimidate anyone , in fact i never had a fight , sure a few close calls but I always managed to talk my way out of any situation or "Andy Griffith" my way out of it. but i did this not because i didn't want to fight i did it because it was the right thing to do , why make a big show and fight when you can get to the root of the problem and try to solve things in a civil way.
I don't see this much in law enforcement anymore , I think instead of sending police officers to training on how to handle a gun or a new technique in subduing a person , they should also have to take courses on humanities and pshychology and learn to "talk" situations down and understand a victim and or perp and not just bolster in with authority given to them and demand things calm down,And they may actually have courses on this i dont knowbut it should be done regularly and focused on, it worked great for me, because after all arn't they there to Protect and Serve? But more and more in today's times i see people that are not qualified to deal with the public in high profile and authoritative jobs , i don't know what this nation is headed for , but there needs to be a major change in the way things are done and how our society is run.

I am 30 years old , I've had many relationships , all of them ended badly except one , either they cheated on me or found me to be not what they expected or were just having fun playing games. the only one that didn't end bad eventually did , we couldn't be together because people would nose in at the age difference , me being the younger by the way , but we parted our ways slowly and not long ago she passed away leaving a giant hole in my heart , but i still want to find that one person i was meant to be with.
It gets harder everyday to find someone to be with long term , the world changes so much everyday i guess it changes people as well. People like me are rare it seems , or so I've noticed , the old ways of doing things has gone away little by little , and yet there are younger peoples like me that cling on to these ways. There are more and more divorces everyday because people jump into relationships out of lust or puppy love , its a sad thing really , I myself have never married and when i do It'll be the last and only time , because that's how my morals and self beliefs are , i don't think people take commitments seriously enough anymore and it leads to divorce and breakup , to thine ownself be true , anymore people are not true to their selves or others , i hope this trend will change and that people will take being in relationship's more seriously.
Love has become a word or a "cool" thing to do.

Politics and movements in todays generations

As i was watching the daily show and colbert report i noticed there were alot of people who were not involoved in current politics , and especially the ongoing movements. I dont know if it's just a general un-interest in this or if its simply the area im from but it saddens me quite a bit that no one in my facebook friends are currently invloved or trying to be invloved on the movement in this country , for instance the occupy wall st. movement , not only was it blacked out from the popular media but people will not talk about it enough , i think its very important and its not going to go away , if i could be there i would , what mostly saddens me is this new generation should Very political and very involved in movements but its not , i think most of the media would like them to stay complacent and worry only about the newest product than worry about whats going on in their country. In a way i see the 60's reviving itself again and moving on corporations instead of government but sadly government and corporations go hand in hand, i want people to stand up for what they believe in and not expect others to do it for them , and bring back what it is to be truly American.

I recently thought , how sad it is that the most accurate news i get is from a comedy channel , the daily show and the colbert report , they both explain politics in a perfect way and a truthful way , it seems the news channels have their own agenda on politics and want you to view that way too , well that isn't all , the occupy wall street campaign was in a media blackout for weeks , because the corporations that own the news channels didn't want you to know of the movement , and its still pretty one sided now that they do talk of it.

A brief view on religion and or beliefs

I was recently in a discussion , which most of us try to avoid with others , on religion , its in my belief all man are flawed and that we should love and accept one another whether we believe in a god or not , but others don't seem to share this view , some on the religious side would like to voice their belief until you yourself share the same view , others on the opposing side would take it somewhat personal that you do believe in a god and not share their view of non belief . To all those i say , what harm does it do to you if someone believes in god , or doesn't believe in god, My belief is that we should continue to share our ideas , not force them and learn together one way or the other and be happy that we all share an existence together, I try to be open minded and try to understand what another person views on life but i see more and more that people find it a personal crusade to make sure everyone shares their view , Not one man knows what another has endured nor will he endure the same , that's a quote of my own i used for years.

I hope that one day we will accept one another for what we are and that it isn't important what we believe but that we do believe in something and are always trying to perfect that belief not for others or the religions sake but just to better understand ourselves and others , after all were in this together whether we like it or not, why not make it useful and use this life together and use it in peace , or at least try for our own sake.

life in a small mountain community

Life in a small town is different than any other , but life in an Appalachian community is a little different , for instance because of the fact there are coal deposits here that makes a huge impact on the economics and culture of a town. Earlier today i was in my town , Hyden , and i wondered why traffic was held up at a green light and as i looked farther up the road there was a tractor trailer that had a fire in the brakes because it had gotten too hot , and just as usual the driver got out with a small fire extinguisher and proceeded to put out the small friction fire, this wasn't any unusual to everyone because we are use to these trucks , they are just a part of traffic everyday.

Most men in our area look for jobs in the mines , the pay is good , but the hours are long and the work can range from light to heavy depending on the position you have , but it's one thing everyone here is use to and expects to see , a worker dressed in uniform with reflective patches on it , and everyone knows what he does and what he might go through , also though , just as in any other small town there are faces you will either recognize or know , but here its a little different , most of these people are relations or friends or people you pass by everyday but don't know. Having lived in a small Appalachian community all my life , this normal to me , but like i say , it is different than any other small town out there in the united states , each area though is a little different than the next , i guess what I'm trying to say is this country has many different area's and many different cultures and i think that's what makes us as Americans unique than any other place in the world.
