Dream Drum Set

The meinl cymbals available at Musicians Friend look like they would make for a great inclusion to a drum set. I wish I could play the drums, but I have no on the spot rhythm. I have a friend who is amazing with the drums, he seems to play less and less as we get older, just wish he had stuck with it throughout the years, would have been great going to watch him play at this point in life.

Jam Session with my Bro

I wish I had some of the gear over at https://www.guitarcenter.com, me and my brother just had a wee bit of a jam session, he showed me how to do a few things in his favorite software and I showed him a few tricks that carried over from software I use. One thing was for sure, it definitely would have been great having a piano keyboard hooked up to the computer, so much more fluid that using the computer keyboard.

So I have quite a few musicians and friends who are willing to help me out with sound for my videos and animations, they're just waiting on me to finish some vids so they can get started with the sound. I have one friend in particular who is great with instruments, who has no experience with the computer side of things and I'm hoping to introduce him to that side of things. I think that once he gets into it, there will be no stopping him.

Retro Sounds and Loops

I've got a lot of animations in the works at the moment, some are far from finished, some are just waiting on sound. One thing I have found with making videos is the sound makes it, if your sound is off it can make a great video mediocre. That's why it would be great to have some nice sound gear, guitarcenter.com has kaossilator gear and I think it would be awesome for the kind of retro sounds I'm after for my animations.

I need to learn to play piano

I think I may really need piano books for beginners because I've been making quite a few tunes for videos lately, most of it through software which all use a piano keyboard as the base. I'm using the computer keyboard at the moment and It's not that smooth, I imagine using a real keyboard would be so much more smoother, I really should look into getting one that hooks up to my computer.

Mixing Tunes and Flipping Switches

I wish I had the numark dj mixer, then I could figure out how to use it. I've been doing quite a bit of music creation for videos lately and this looks quite similar to a lot of the virtual mixers and what not I've been using. Having it physically there would I think feel a lot more intuitive, physically turning knobs, flipping switches. I really would like trying it out.

Picking Up a Gat

The instruments at guitar center .com abelton look really awesome. I wouldn't mind picking up a guitar again, giving it another shot. I never really got that great the first time around, I didn't have the focus, but I think with age I may have the patience for it. It would also come in really handy with the animations I'm making, sound is just so important with video.

Stand the Sound

These Hercules Stands look like they would be quite useful. I'm thinking about upgrading my setup in the not to distant future and I'm always on the lookout for items that would useful for that. I've a few animations on the go at the moment that need sound effects and music and I will be producing the sounds with my brother. Now he has a modest setup, but it would be nice to get him a few more items, just so that we can really get into making sounds.

Playing the blues

To play a piedmont blues would be awesome. Awhile back I bought a harmonica with the intention of learning to play, I tried, not very hard mind you and I found it quite hard to play. If I put more time into it I know I could probably be able to play tune or two, I thought it would be quite an easy instrument to learn, but it seems just like any other instrument, it takes practice.

Making Music For My Videos

I have been very interested in an electric keyboard for some time now, with the amount of animation I'm doing I'm going to need to make music to go a long with these videos. Most of the music software I've been trying out is based on using a keyboard, I can use my computers keyboard, but I can really see how beneficial it would be to have a proper one, with the right equipment and software, I'll have an entire music studio at my finger tips.

Catalina Drums

When I see the words catalina jazz club it reminds me of the movie Step Brothers, and one of the centre pieces of that movie was a drum kit and an awesome drum solo. I have a friend that plays the drums, and it is of his opinion that jazz music is some of the most complex music styles around, I don't know if I agree, can't say I've listened to too much jazz in my life, but I'm sure it would sound great played on this kit.

Getting Cozy For Winter

Man I love Cozy Winters, nothing better than entering a warm house or warm bed on a really cold day, even though it's spring down here we've still been getting some pretty cold days, but it's nice getting all warm and cozy.

Summers on it's way and it will be cozy all the time, I bet I'll be wishing for winter in no time at all, though bring on summer, I just want to be cozy.

Pounding those keys

The allegro piano looks like a nice piano, my bro makes music on his computer, but with the addition of a keyboard like this he would be unstoppable. He uses his computer keyboard at the moment, would just be so much more fluid if he had a piano to play on, pounding those keys, making those sounds, I think I know what to get him for Christmas.

Changing Electric Guitar Strings

When I owned and electric guitar I used the strings that came already on it, I did buy an extra set, but I can't remember what type, they may have been a set of ej22, but seeing that my skill level wasn't that of a jazz player, they may not have been. I did have to change the strings out from time to time and when I did it felt so fresh and so clean.

Retro Amp

I love the look of this browneye amp, it looks kind of retro, and I bet the sounds that come out of it are awesome. If your gonna play an electric guitar you do need an excellent amplifier with all kinds of controls so you get the sounds you want, which is really what the electric guitar is about, freedom.

DJ Star

It's all about djs & keyboards, it would be such a great tool in sound production, with the software these days, using a keyboard as a way to play any instrument can be so useful. I've had some experience and it makes it so much easier and fluid to use a keyboard to make sounds, so much easier than using a mouse and computer keyboard.

Man, I wish I could play something like a yamaha saxaphone, I would rock out at every opportunity. It would go hand in hand with my creative side too, make videos, making cartoons and making the music that would bring these things to life. Well as long as I keep creating, who knows maybe one day I'll cross paths with a musical instrument that I get crazy with.

My brother would love a full music making setup, there's quite a lot of good information on products out there, this place is definitely one and I've told him to Join now. I like the fact that you can get pretty much anything you need to make music all in one spot, my brother would have a field day. As it stands he has a modest setup but hopefully that changes.

Master Music

My brother would really love the ozone 5 mastering system, he's been making a lot of music lately and is always fiddling with the quality of his songs. One thing he spends a lot of time on is his vocals, trying to get it to match the music nicely, trying to get the perfect mix. I hate it when the vocals are too quiet compared to the instrumentals, having something like this would take care of that problem.

I would probably get gold wedding bands from here if I were to ever think about getting married, which is something I haven't given a lot of thought to, I guess I just haven't met the right girl yet. Until that day comes I won't give it to much thought as there seems to be a lot involved in planning a wedding, and at the moment I haven't got any time for that.

I'm always on the lookout for omega 3 foods, they put it in the bread don't you know. Omega 3 is supposed to be good for the brain and that's why I keep an eye out for foods rich in it, I feel like I'm helping my brain out. I from time to time gorge myself on foods rich in it and I don't know if this is some kind of placebo effect, but I do feel smarter when I do.

It seems to me that every musician needs a musian friend, a place where they can get all their equipment so that they can make beautiful music. I found that when I bought a guitar I needed quite a few other things to go along with it, amps, electronic tuner, cords and it was nice that I could find them all in from one place.
