I am know to be fearful at night on and close to the sea. Really you can’t expect what the ocean can do to you and I never underestimated it at night. The Costa Concordia is just a example of that.
The Costa Concordia Disaster ocurred at on 13 January 2012 after hitting a reef off the Italian coast and running aground at Isola del Giglio, Tuscany, requiring the evacuation of those on board. As the writing of this, seventeen people are known dead;64 others were injured (at least two seriously) and 15 are missing.

The incident is attributed to the complete careless and negligent actions of Italian Captain Francesco Schenttino now dubbed as “Captain Coward” due to the mysterious and rapid escape from the wreck meanwhile people died and were still trapped at the ship.
I am no going to be revolving on what the media has already covered, but I want to republish a leaked conversation between an official with Captain Coward by BBC and Scotsman News.
This is a transcript of a conversation between the captain of the Costa Concordia cruise ship and a coastguard, translated from the original Italian by Reuters news agency, reveals that the captain was prepared to abandon ship while passengers were still aboard the listing vessel. Captain Francesco Schettino is censured by coastguard Gregorio De Falco for being unable to determine the number of passengers on board, including the dead.

Captain: Good evening, Chief De Falco.
Coastguard: Tell me your name, please.
Captain: I am Captain Schettino, chief.
Coastguard: Schettino?
Captain: Yes.
Coastguard: Listen, Schettino. There are people trapped on board. Now, you go with your lifeboat. Under the bow of the ship, on the right side, there is a ladder. You climb on that ladder and go on board the ship. Go on board the ship and get back to me and tell me how many people are there. Is that clear. I am recording this conversation, Captain Schettino.
(Captain tries to speak but Coast Guard can’t hear him clearly. Voices in the Coast Guard room.)
Coastguard: Speak up! (captain tries to speak) Captain, put your hand over the microphone and speak in a louder voice!
Captain: At this moment the ship is listing.
Coastguard: There are people who are coming down the ladder on the bow. Go back in the opposite direction, get back on the ship, and tell me how many people there are and what they have on board. Tell me if there are children, women and what type of help they need. And you tell me the number of each of these categories. Is that clear?
Listen Schettino, perhaps you have saved yourself from the sea but I will make you look very bad. I will make you pay for this. Dammit, go back on board!

Coastguard: There is no ‘please’ about it. Get back on board. Assure me you are going back on board!

Coast Guard (interrupting, yelling): You get back on board! That is an order! There is nothing else for you to consider. You have sounded the “Abandon Ship”. Now I am giving the orders. Get back on board. Is that clear? Don’t you hear me?
Captain: I am going aboard.
Coastguard: Go! Call me immediately when you are on board. My rescue people are in front of the bow.
Captain: Where is your rescue craft?
Coastguard: My rescue craft is at the bow. Go! There are already bodies, Schettino. Go!
Captain: How many bodies are there?
Coastguard: I don’t know! ... Christ, you should be the one telling me that!
Captain: Do you realize that it is dark and we can’t see anything?

The nerve of Captain Coward. But let be honest, Ten years experience as a “sea man” never teach you how to deal with this situation. Coward just acted on the most principles of living thing’s instinct, look for his safety.

Also, apparently there is this chick in the picture dubbed as the mistery blonded as it is rumored she was a guest passanger (unregistered according initial information) and has been the only vocal for the captain stating that she saw the captain organizing every aspect he could control on the evacuation. Some rumors appeared that she is a friend of Coward and quite frankly will defend him until the end. But it is revealed that her name is 23 years old Domnica Cemortan and was acting as his aide for the ship, but her personal stuff, including underwear's a few man clothes were found at the bridge or the captain's office and it is now rumored that the Captain fault is the “sexual” distraction that he could have been attending while the ship was getting off course. A funny note, Captain Coward is married with a teen daughter…
Currently the Costa Concordia is still on the same rock that has grounded, but there is a danger of fuel leaking plus the ship is not stable and there is a danger that might head for more deep water. The fuel extraction has commenced with struggling from sea condition and weather and the removal in best cases might take 10 months.
Sad that this thing happens on these modern days.

Editorial: Estamos solidos con Metal Gear Solid

Esto es un reblog de uno de mis editoriales para Esmandau y uno de los más que he pasado el trabajo, pero orgulloso estoy.

Muchos de nosotros los que somos jugadores hardcore, casuales, buena fe y/o en el caso mío “semi-rehabilitados” (pregúntenle a mi padre como desperdicié mis últimos años de niñez…), sabemos cuándo un juego ha trascendido de lo que se llama un juego icono. En el caso de los RPG, no puedes hablar de ellos sin saber o haber jugado uno de las 15 partes de Final Fantasy y hasta hoy día se debate si es Final Fantasy VII o es Final Fantasy VIII los mejores de la famosa franquicia de la ahora Square-Enix (antes Squaresoft).

Pero ¿por qué la categoría de acción no puede tener un icono también?

Esto también es debatible, pero creo que me atrevo a decir que hay un consenso que si la famosa serie Metal Gear Solid si no el icono máximo, pues es una de la gran selección de juegos que ha logrado sobrevivir aproximadamente 4 generaciones de la industria de los video juegos (trataré de abundar de eso en el próximo editorial con video juegos como tema principal). Con 8 partes basado en el drama central con un complemento (Metal Gear Rising) y la posible entrega de la novena parte, sin duda alguna es motivación suficiente para este tipo de editorial.

Abarcaremos ahora este viaje desde los 80 con algunos datos históricos de su creador Hideo Kojima, pero nota, no voy abundar mucho en los juegos “spin-off” o que no necesariamente se crearon para seguir la historia o Kojima no tuvo un envolvimiento directo con los mismos. Adicional, intente de mil maneras resumir de forma corta cada historia pero en realidad es algo tedioso y abarca muchos sub-temas así que te invito que si te gusta ver las historias de los juegos, pues tienes que jugarlos para verlos.

El orden de las descripciones está en orden cronológico de la historia de Metal Gear.

I – Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

Descripción y datos históricos del juego: Lanzado en el 2004, originalmente, Hideo Kojima quería que este juego fuera lanzado para el Playstation 3, pero el proyecto de Sony, conocido como “PSX” en aquel entonces (No confundir con el Playstation 1, en serio el PS3 se consideró llamarlo así inicialmente), ya estaba atrasado. Pero se decide entonces diseñarse para el entonces actual Playstation 2 y con el poco entusiasmo que tenía en seguir continuando la historia de Metal Gear, Kojima decide para sorpresa de muchos convertir este juego en un “back story” y dar detalles de los orígenes del famoso Big Boss. Adicional, en aquel entonces Kojima deseaba experimentar ambientes de selva y terminó implantándolos junto con el concepto de supervivencia.Este es el segundo juego en tener una expansión siendo lanzada al público con Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence, el cual agrega cámara 3D con control para el usuario, los juegos Metal Gear y Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake con algunas mejoras y poder jugar online.
Temas que se explotan en el juego: Hideo Kojima es conocido en dejarse llevar por cosas y temas que influencian en la creación de juegos. Naturalmente la guerra fría es explorada y se ve y nos hace preguntar que más cosas ocurrieron que no son de conocimiento público. La relación entre The Boss y Naked Snake, que para la mente primitiva se vería que estaban enamorados pero de la forma más rara, en realidad Kojima explora el concepto de maternidad.El juego hace fuerte referencias a películas que se volvieron famosos en esos tiempos, en particular Godzilla y 007 y de hecho, el estilo del juego, incluyendo a EVA como la Female Fatale es una directa referencia estilo James Bond.El concepto de patriotismo y la libertad de pensamiento y expresión es explorado y visto como una de las razones de las deserciones entre naciones.

II – Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops

Descripción y datos históricos del juego: Lanzado en el 2006, un año después de ser anunciado por Hideo Kojima. Sería el primer juego que sigue el drama de MGS3, pero no lo tiene como directo, sino como desarrollador ejecutivo. El juego sigue en realidad las tendencias de MGS3, así que no hubo muchos cambios en los temas en discusión.El juego fue un exclusivo de PSP y su expansión MGS Portable Operation Plus, se enfocaría en el juego Online
Historia: Seis años después de los acontecimientos de la Operación Snake Eater, Naked Snake, ahora ex miembro de FOX. Ahora el mencionado grupo ha roto su alianza con la CIA y se ha ido renegados. Snake en un punto se volvió blanco de FOX, que envió a los soldados renegados para atacar y capturarlo. Snake es torturado e interrogado por uno de los miembros de la FOX, el teniente Cunningham, quien está tratando de localizar el paradero de la mitad faltante del Legado de los Filósofos, con el Gobierno de los Estados Unidos que ya ha adquirido la otra mitad de la herencia de la Unión Soviética como se aprecia en el final de Snake Eater. Snake es encarcelado en una celda junto a Roy Campbell, el único superviviente de un grupo elite estadounidenses enviados a investigar la base. Snake averigua a través de Campbell que están en la península de San Jerónimo, el sitio de un silo abandonado de misiles soviéticos en Colombia.

Los dos escapan y Snake hace su camino a una base de comunicaciones, donde los intentos de ponerse en contacto con su antiguo comandante, Major Zero. En cambio, es recibido por sus compañeros Para-Medic y Sigint, que revelan que Snake y Zero están siendo acusados de instigar la revuelta y que la única forma de Snake para limpiar su nombre es de encontrar y detener al líder de la rebelión, Gene. Para complicar las cosas, Gene también ha convencido a la mayoría de los soldados rusos estacionados en la base para unirse a su lado simplemente tomando más de la cadena de mando de un ex unidad del Ejército Rojo, que fue colocado en secreto dentro del territorio colombiano. Con el fin de completar su misión, Snake deberá persuadir a los soldados enemigos para unirse a sus filas.

III – Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker

Descripción y datos históricos del juego: Lanzado en el 2010 y sin mucho que abundar, con excepción que esta vez Hideo Kojima estuvo envuelto como directo y tuvo mejor éxito que su predecesor Portable Ops.El juego fue un exclusivo de PSP.
En este punto todavía se sigue viendo como finalmente Big Boss logra crear Outer Heaven siguiendo su filosofía a base de su aprendizaje con The Boss.

IV – Metal Gear

Descripción y datos históricos del juego: Lanzado en el 1987 para la consola MSX-2, Hideo Kojima realizó este juego bajo petición de Konami en donde se produjera un juego de combate, pero las capacidades de programar el juego hacían muy limitadas las opciones de cómo podría haber múltiples personajes y muchas balas. Luego opta por el concepto de evitar ser capturado en vez de entrar en batalla innecesariamente, creando el concepto y siendo uno de los primeros juegos “stealth”.El juego desafortunadamente viene a coger auge e impulso cuando Konami decide tirar una versión para el Nintendo Entertainment System, el cual Kojima no estuvo envuelto.El éxito del juego fue tanto que Konami le pidió al grupo de Kojima (sin este estar envuelto) que lancen un juego para el NES llamado Snake Revenge como secuela de Metal Gear.
Historia: En resumidas cuentas vemos como un Solid Snake es enviado por su comandante de FOXHOUND, Big Boss a rescatar y confirmar información que su predecesor Grey Fox estaba mencionando sobre algo llamado “Metal Gear” antes de ser capturado.Con ayuda de aliados, Snake progresivamente avanza hasta hacer el fatídico descubrimiento que en efecto, existe el Metal Gear y fue creado por órdenes del mismo Big Boss quien tenía la base Outer Heaven como su centro de operación. Este le confiesa sobre su visión y que en efecto envió al novato Solid Snake para crear confusión de información oficialmente, pero no contó que Snake pudiera llegar tan lejos. Demás está decir que fue Solid Snake victorioso.

V – Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake

Descripción y datos históricos del juego: Después del lanzamiento de la versión de NES de Metal Gear en América, Konami encargó el desarrollo de una secuela para la consola NES, Snake Revenge (un juego hecho específicamente para el mercado estadounidense en mente), sin el consentimiento de Kojima.

Según el relato de Kojima de los hechos, él no tenía ningún plan para diseñar una secuela de Metal Gear en el momento y era consciente de que una segunda parte se producía hasta que conoció a un miembro del equipo de Snake Revenge en un viaje en un tren de Tokio. Kojima fue informado sobre el desarrollo y se le dijo que “no es Snake autentico, así que por favor crea un nuevo juego de Snake.” Después de recibir el visto bueno de sus jefes en Konami, comenzó el desarrollo de Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake con la división MSX de Konami. Metal Gear 2 sirve como un seguimiento de los Metal Gear original, haciendo caso omiso de los sucesos Snake Revenge (el juego nunca se lanzó en Japón), y la trama oficialmente continua desde aquí.

Historia: En 1999, la Guerra Fría había terminado, y el desarme nuclear de las potencias más importantes del mundo prometía un principio brillante en el siglo 21. A pesar de esto, no todo estaba bien en el mundo. Una serie de caídas en el mercado del petróleo estimuló el desarrollo de nuevas fuentes de energía de alta tecnología, incluyendo la energía de fusión. Sin embargo, la mayoría de los vehículos todavía depende del petróleo para funcionar.

Las reservas de petróleo estaban en un mínimo de crítica, y la comunidad internacional estaba dispuesta a tomar medidas drásticas, ya sea mediante la perforación de arena y la búsqueda de más petróleo, a pesar de la dificultad o pasar a combustibles renovables.

Estas medidas no resultó necesario cuando científico checo Dr. Kio Marv exitosamente bio-dirigió una nueva especie de alga, OILIX, que podrían producir petróleo de grado hidrocarburos con poco gasto y esfuerzo. Marv presentó las algas a la Conferencia Mundial de Energía en Praga, y se dirigía a una manifestación en los Estados Unidos cuando fue secuestrado por soldados de Zanzíbar Land (un país ficticio relacionado con el real de Zanzíbar, que forma parte de Tanzania). La OTAN descubre que los líderes de Zanzíbar Land planean tener el mundo de rehén controlando el suministro de petróleo y anunciar que están armados con armas nucleares.

Solid Snake es sacado de su retiro por el nuevo comandante de FOXHOUND, Roy Campbell, y se envía a Zanzíbar Land para rescatar al Dr. Marv.

En el curso de su misión, los equipos de Snake cuenta con Holly White, un agente de la CIA haciéndose pasar por un periodista, y Gustava Heffner, un agente de STB y guardaespaldas del Dr. Marv. También se reúne con el Dr. Drago Petrovich Madnar, el inventor de Metal Gear de Outer Heaven, quien afirma haber sido una vez más, secuestrado y obligado a trabajar en otro proyecto Metal Gear (llamado Metal Gear D) de Zanzíbar Land, así como supervisar la producción en masa de las pequeñas unidades de Metal Gear. Snake es informado por el Dr. Madnar que Big Boss, comandante de Snake FOXHOUND anterior, ha sobrevivido y es el hombre a cargo de Zanzíbar Land.

Al llegar al puente colgante que conduce al campo de detención, Gustava es asesinado por un misil disparado por el Metal Gear D y Madnar vuelve a ser capturado por el enemigo. El piloto del nuevo Metal Gear es revelado a ser otro que el ex mercenario Grey Fox. Decidido a terminar su misión, Snake enfrenta a la fuerza mercenaria de Zanzíbar Land y logra alcanzar la celda del Dr. Marv solo para descubrir que había muerto a manos de Petrovich quien traiciona a Snake.

Con la fórmula OILIX en manos de Snake, Snake se enfrenta a Gray Fox pilotando Metal Gear D. Tras superar con éxito la destrucción de Metal Gear D, Snake se encuentra en un campo de minas. Los dos participan en el combate mano a mano contra la otra, y Snake con el tiempo emerge como victorioso.

Tras derrotar a Fox y la recuperación de la fórmula OILIX, Snake se encuentra con Big Boss mientras trataba de escapar. Habiendo perdido a su equipo y sin armas a su disposición, Snake se ve obligado a improvisar con los únicos elementos que puede encontrar, un encendedor y un aerosol es lo que encuentra para matar a Big Boss.

Snake derrota a Big Boss por segunda vez. Snake y Holly escapan juntos, y entregan la fórmula OILIX a Campbell.

VI – Metal Gear Solid

Descripción y datos históricos del juego: Llegamos a 1998, donde solo los old-school se acordaban a penas que Metal Gear existía y Hideo Kojima se prepara para un nuevo proyecto unos años antes y empezó a escuchar rumores de una consola de juego que estaba en desarrollo que era capaz de lograr correr con polígonos en 3D (Playstation) y lo primero que le vino a la mente fue Meta Gear, luego de su fracaso intento de hacer Metal Gear 3 para el fallido 3DO pues no se siguió e proyecto a la vez que la mencionada consola estaba en decline. Esta consola termina siendo el PlayStation, donde Kojima puso todo su empeño para la creación del juego y por ende, demás está decir que fue un total éxito.Luego en 1999 se lanza exclusivo para Japón, la versión Integral del juego, que incluye nueva ropa para Meryl, nuevas frecuencia para comentarios del grupo creativo y música escondida, un “Very Easy” de dificultad y un mini juego para el fallido PocketStation de Playstaion. Adicional incluye otro disco con 300 misiones de VR training, en Estados Unidos ese disco se lanza como un juego aparte llamado MGS Virtual Missions con photoshoots de Naomi y Mei Ling.
Los temas destacados en este juego son: el sentimiento antinuclear, en particular con Nastasha, experimentos de genes, la responsabilidad con futuras generaciones y la autoestima.

VII – Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty

Descripción y datos históricos del juego: Lanzado tres años luego del MGS original. Según detalla Kojima en el documental Metal Gear Saga (Gamestop incluía este DVD promocional a cambio de haber separado Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence), la drama originalmente se iba a centrar en el Medio Oriente tomando la crisis de las inspecciones de armas de tanto Irán e Iraq, a su vez un nuevo Metal Gear estaba siendo transportado por avión mientras que Snake debía detener a Liquid y su nuevo comando de mercenarios antes que interceptaran el avión. Esta historia fue descartada al momento que volvieron a calentarse las cosas en el Medio Oriente y dirigiendo la historia como la conocemos hoy día aunque el capítulo del Tanker está basado en la historia original.Como todos recordarán, el juego tuvo que ser modificado a último minuto, pues para el año 2001 ocurren los ataques terrorista del 11 de Septiembre y el juego en particular tiene fuertes referencias de Nueva York y habían escenas donde involucraban las torres gemelas, destrucción de edificios y violencia en el estado, aunque toda referencia de las primera dos fueron fácilmente removidas, convirtiendo a MGS 2 uno de los pocos juegos que no se vio afectado por la serie de atrasos que ocurrieron en muchas industrias, en especial la de los video juegos importados.MGS 2 marcaría el primer juego que tiene una expansión llamada Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance, el cual incluye un editor de las escenas de la trama y cambiar personajes, nuevos modos de juegos incluyendo first person, mini juegos usando a Snake como personaje. Substance fue lanzado para el Xbox, marcando la llegada de Metal Gear Solid a otra consola que no sea de Sony.Un año después, se lanza The Document of Metal Gear Solid 2. es un sistema interactivo de “making of” lanzado para la PlayStation 2. El disco es una base de datos del proceso de desarrollo del juego donde el usuario puede ver los modelos poligonales para los personajes, la mecánica y las áreas en el juego, así como escuchar la banda sonora del juego. El disco también cuenta con todas las escenas cinemáticas del juego (sin audio) y sus respectivos guiones. Otras características incluyen una colección de detrás de las cámaras, trailers de vista previa, un guión parcial, proyecto original de Hideo Kojima del juego (disponible sólo en japonés), una timeline de desarrollo, y una galería de Metal Gear Solid. El disco también incluye cinco “VR Training” niveles que sirvió como un adelanto de Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance. El disco fue incluido en la versión de PlayStation 2 europea de Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, pero no estaba disponible en las tiendas de la región.

Los temas destacados en este juego son: El control social, censura, control de información, inteligencias artificiales y conspiraciones políticas.

VIII – Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots

Descripción y datos históricos del juego: Hideo Kojima a este punto tenía el deseo en dejar sin concluir la saga de Metal Gear, pero como el mismo indico, sabía que iba a tener la presión de tanto sus allegados como fanáticos y termina cediendo para el año 2005 anunciando a través de un jocoso video que termina en un mini duelo de Solid Snake (como se ve en MGS3 con una fuerte referencia a Splinter Cell, usando las emblemáticas gafas con sensores nocturno, de calor y binoculares) VS Raiden.En el lado de creatividad, por fin se le dio a Kojima de poder tener Oriente Medio como uno de los escenarios y tener un “happy-medium” con su equipo entre stealth y el concepto “No Place To Hide”.Sorpresivamente, tenemos esta vez a un viejo Solid Snake, el cual Kojima lo hizo a propósito como tributo a Lee Van Cleef.Una idea de Kojima que fue rechazada cuando la llevo a votación es de finalmente Snake y Otacon ser llevados presos y ejecutados. No es secreto que Kojima buscaba la forma terminar con la saga de Metal Gear sin dar la oportunidad de abrir una ventana de posibilidades para que haya demanda a otro juego.

Los temas destacados son una leve revisita a temas pasados de todos los juegos en mi opinión, aunque el monologo de Snake pueda ser una referencia al avanzar del tiempo y los cambios en la vida.

- La Unión Soviética ofrece ayuda militar a las FARC (Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias De Colombia). A cambio, la Unión Soviética gana el control de la Unión la Península de San Jerónimo. Comienzan los planes para construir un IRBM desde allí.
- Los EE.UU. se entera de la Shagohod y decide sacar a Sokolov de la Unión Soviética.
- Volgin utiliza la red de los Filósofos para hacer que The Boss deserte a la Unión Soviética y unirse a su facción. La división de EE.UU. de los Filósofos aprovechan esta oportunidad para tratar de robar el
Legado de los Filósofos.

- (Mes antes de Portable Ops) La CIA planea dar a los EEUU de nuevo Metal Gear a la Unión Soviética con el fin de prolongar la guerra fría y mantener la influencia de la CIA.
- El Pentágono recluta a Gene y la unidad FOX (incluyendo al teniente Cunningham, Elisa / Ursula, y Python) para robar Metal Gear antes de que se puede dar a la Unión Soviética.

??? – Fatman asiste NAVSCOLEOD (Escuela Naval de artefactos explosivos) en Head, Maryland y es instruido por Peter Stillman en las formasde desactivación de bombas. Al terminar el curso, se une a NEST (Equipo de Búsqueda de emergencia nuclear). Renuncia NEST casi de inmediatoy es reclutado por Dead Cell.
2005 – Una ojiva simulada se ha probado en Metal Gear REX. Kenneth Baker, Donald Anderson, y Liquid Snake (junto con otros miembros de FOXHOUND) son llamado para supervisar la prueba. La prueba es satisfactoria, pero los Patriotas sospechan de FOXHOUND.
- George Sears ha ordenado a Ocelot en convencer a Liquid Snake de provocar e iniciar un levantamiento en la isla de Shadow Moses para que pueda obtener de Metal Gear REX y la cabeza nuclear. Esto funciona en beneficio de los Patriotas también.
- Liquid mata McDonnel Miller en su casa y comienza a hacerse pasar por él.
- Meryl Silverburgh es transferido a Shadow Moses con el fin de manipular a Campbell.
- FOXHOUND realiza revueltas y se hace cargo de la isla Shadow Moses. Exigen la entrega de los restos de Big Boss y mil millones de dólares para curar a Liquid Snake y a los Soldados Genómicos de la “simetría genética. Mientras Donald Anderson y Kenneth Baker, son tomados como rehenes.
- Liquid Snake le da sus “promesas” a Sergei Gurlukovich que utilizará Metal Gear REX a restaurar la Madre Rusia a cambio de tecnología y apoyo.
- Ocurren los eventos de Metal Gear Solid
- Snake, Meryl, Otacon y logran salir de la isla Shadow Moses.
- Ocelot mantiene a Meryl bajo vigilancia.
- George Sears (Solidus) tiene éxito en la obtención de datos sobre Metal Gear REC, pero los Patriotas no están contentos de que el público es ahora consciente de la existencia de REX y los Soldados Genómicos.
- Jim Houseman es asesinado.
- Richard Ames desaparece de nuevo.

- Ocelot “ayuda” Solidus a pasar a la clandestinidad hasta cuando el Arsenal Gear se ha completado. Luego Solidus hace planes para robar y declarar la guerra a los patriotas.
- FOXHOUND se rompe.
200X – Ocelot tiene el brazo de Liquid injertado en lugar de en su brazo perdido.
- Ocelot vende los planos de Metal Gear en el mercado negro.
- Snake y Otacon forman la organización de anti-Metal Gear, “Filantropía”. Snake se convierte en un héroe en los ojos del público. Los Patriots no están contentos con eso.
- El comandante de la marina Scott Dolph inicia y dirige el proyecto Metal Gear RAY en oposición al proyecto del Arsenal Gear.
- Los Patriotas desarrollan un plan que va a deshacerse de la fama de Solid Snake, conseguir que Arsenal Gear y RAY, matar a Solidus, tomar el control de todos los la información disponible a través de un AI llamado GW, y totalmente preparar GW para manejar cualquier situación que se presenta a través de una gran la recreación del incidente de Shadow Moses.
2007 – (Abril) Los Patriotas envían a Rose para espiar a Raiden y aprender todo acerca de él, pero termina enamorándose de él.
- Los Patriotas envían una denuncia anónima a Otacon sobre el Metal Gear RAY para atraer a él y Snake a su sitio de pruebas, haciéndose pasar por Emma.
- Ocurre los eventos de Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty
- Snake y Otacon encentran los nombres de los Patriotas en el virus de la GW. Ellos se dan cuenta de que los Patriotas ya se han muerto unos 100 años.
200X – Debido a fallas en el proceso de clonación, células de Snake comienza el deterioro de
a un ritmo rápido.
2014 – Ocurre los eventos de Metal Gear Solid 4.

What SOPA could have meant if passed

This past week, I dare to say was for history. For good or bad, people have their choice to defend their rights, even in the virtual world know as The Internet.

It happens that before the Congress went on Holidays vacations, there were two laws prototype. The Stop Online Piracy Act from The House Of Representative and the Senate's version, Protect IP Act.
To sum and make a long story short. Both laws are aimed on be the new legal tools for the US Federal government against piracy and the people behind. Specially the SOPA law servers as a more strict expansion to the 1998's Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

But you may ask what is the problem when piracy is making entertainment industry's life miserable? It is the language itself of the law.
According to SOPA as it was stated when there was a danger to be considered in a legislative section, United States of America will have the legal mean to shut down every site being accused on promoting or hosting pirated multimedia or illegal content. Whic means that USA can disconnect your site from the internet if you are accused on being a pirate, no question asked, sue you with no questions asked and restrict your freedom in the virtual world, no question asked.

This mark a more severe law than DMCA, because DMCA allows you to have a chance on voluntarily withdraw any illegal content without a legal procedure against you from the goverement.
Buta that is not all. ISP (Internet Service Provider) will be forced on monitoring each and every one client of their service for all packets of information that goes in and out to the net, totally violating your right for privacy. Not to mention that ISP can also ban you for accessing certain webpages that are suspected on being a piracy shelter.

I am really sorry for everyone involved professionally or their incomes comes from the entertainment industry or anybody affected by piracy, but I think shits like SOPA are just a prove that the battler against piracy is becoming every year more and more a lost cause and really authorities have no idea on how to solve this problem, without making innocent people pay for what a few do. Also I think that victims of software or movies leaks, illegal copies, etc. are in fact their own fault. How come a software ends on public hands if you are paying for securities for every products that is designed at your company. The root of the problem itself are their own employees which hase been proven in the past that are responsible for more that almost every illegally copied software, movie, etc.

Luckily at the starting of the weekend of 21 of January 2012, Lamar Smith, the Texan representative and author of SOPA have withdrew the proposition after a strong backlash from many sector including software industry, internet industry, celebrities, companies and common people themselves. This doesn mean that the war is over, I think this is just the beginning of a series of clone laws that might come after the elections.

That is another thing that is crossing my mind, that really they might be purposely allowing piracy, due to the nature that underground economy , might have an effect in the positive way but as control is getting out of hand now they are crying....Sure!

And for close this “2011 Season”, a recap on my best entries on the Blogging World.

It’s been an exciting in the world of blogging for me. Not only I could (I admit it, barely) maintain my personal blog, I had a blast in wrapping my 2nd year with BlackBerry Puerto Rico, as a matter of a fact, receiving a notification from Research In Motion was a high success, I don’t know for my colleagues/friend at BBPR but at least for me that was it.

Also this year marked as my debut at Esmandau as a self-invitational as Josue Merced, the Chief Editor was requesting more editor for the news blog and I was honored on having the opportunity accepted in just a few hours of waiting. Esmandau is kind of a technology-related blog, giving you the latest on gaming, computer, Tablets, Smartphone and internet world. I find myself giving a big emphasis on Video Games, Linux and Internet, a venture not too possible at BB-PR at the moment.

Earlier this year I announced that I was gonna take part of two new blog projects, one being as a technical support and the other one I can call it a own concept, but the earlier one seems is not going through since with the people involved of the one that will had me as a support, is not that we had a fell out, but communication has been sporadically a few months after the proposal. My concept in the other hand had been delayed due economic reason but 2012 will know about a new way of socializing.

Mi 2da experiencia con Seguros Múltiples

Vamos para tres semanas desde que SM “me resolvió” según ellos, pero aqui daré los detalles, por qué mi vehículo sigue sin estar al 100% y veré que tan poderosos son las relaciones públicas.
Si, la siguiente imagen sigue viva en mi recuerdo. A finales de Octubre 2011, tuve un problema pués averiguo a las 9PM, 13 horas despues que entré a trabajar, y 8 horas desde que habia “salido” oficialmente me encuentro que el carro había sido victima de un “Hit & Run”.

Aunque de por sí, todavía no tenia que pasar hasta el día siguiente en que me doy cuenta de lo urgente que el carro necesitaba reparación, pues cuando la goma fue cambiada, me percato que el jodio terminal estaba doblado, una goma de atras, mi si fue duro el golpe.
Sucede que ese mismo Lunes, recurro a orientarme en torno al caso y pues me tardé con cojones debido a la querrella y otros factores fuera de mi control, no vengo hasta mitad de semana empezar con las madojas de seguro y aperturaar mi caso por telefono a La Cooperativa De Seguros Múltiples, mi segundo caso desde que tengo mi carro.

Luego de aperturar mi caso, cierro la semana visitando la sucursal de Bayamon de Seguros Múltiples donde me hicieron volver al otro día al NO especificarme desde el teléfono que tenía que traer la goma chocada, algo obvio, pero puñeta queria NO tener experiencia en estas mierdas y pues fallé.
Me atendió el tasador Angel Vizcarrondo (si voy con nombres, coño), y rápidamente sube mi caso al sistema y la documentación necesaria y con la nota que estaría en evaluación a base de la cotización que le dí, pues accede a rentarme un carro con Hertz, el cuál gustozamente busqué el Lunes próximo….
…Nos fuimos con puntos suspensivos en esta parte de este blog, pues en comparación de mi otro choque, a mí me habian dado el mes completo sin tener que estar llamando semanal para reportarme como niña llamando a su padre (mi primer caso fue atendido en la ofician de El Señorial) y cuando hago mi primera llamada (una semana despues) el tipo estuvo 5 minutos cuestionandome por qué el carro “no habia sido arreglado o tomado por el taller”. ¿Como Vizcarrondo pretendía que yo llevara el carro o que el taller mágicamente en una semana reparara mi vehículo sin el darme un seguimiento, llamada o carta y ni siquiera me dijo que lo llevara al taller? Luego me pone como 15 minutos en espera para solo decirme que ya envió la solicitud de extensión y que “iba a empezar a tasar el vehículo”. En una llamada ya tenía dos alarmas de que algo no andaba bien.
Una semana despues, (vamos a tres desde el accidente, dos desde que aperturé mi reclamo) llamo nuevamente para la extensión y el estatus de mi carro. Para sorpresa mía la secretaria de la oficina de Bayamon me indica que el está de “vacaciones” y no ve nada en pantalla de que la tasación haya sido empezada. Para mi molestia decido pues llegarle al taller y dejar de manera no-oficial el vehiculo puesto a que se me habia advertido por el seguro que el que se hacia responsible era yo. Llego a la oficina para ser atendido por otra tasadora y “jocosa” mente apertura mi tasación OFICIALMENTE (vamos a tres semanas desde el accidente, dos desde que aperturé mi reclamo) y que la secretaria se suponia que no dijera que el está de vacaciones, “solo se tomó unos días”.
Ya entrando la última semana de Noviembre, Vizcarrondo “resucita” para pedirme que me presente en la oficina y aquí es donde único soy culpable. Venia de dos entrevistas de empleo, semi-amanecido y con un catarro que me estaba llevando el diablo, me puse a ver los papeles por encima y vi que la cotización de más de $6,000 que el taller habia originalmente puesto, que incluia más del 60% de mecánica VS estetica, la nueva cotización bajó apenas de $1900 a $2000 y lamentablemente me vine a dar cuenta luego que mi madre y en el taller verifican pues no le informarón nada a ellos. Prácticamente la mecánica fue completamente descartada y solo cubria estetica en un 85% mientras que lo de mecánica cubria el area del términal, naturalmente esto no era suficiente. Me vi en la obligación de negociar las cantidades con otro taller.
Pero lo que realmente acentuó mi molestia, ya con un caso mal manejado, es que SM no quería honrarme el malestar que me provocó que me tuve que quedar con el vehículo prestado una semana más, algo que refutaron que estaban en ley y que solo por tener una cubierta básica, no me pueden dar más días.
Hoy día el vehiculo, no quedó en 100% y no puedo culpar al taller.
Por este medio, quiero hacer una prueba con los poderes que las relaciones públicas pueden lograr y emplazo a Seguros Múltiples, que si quieren que remueva este artículo de mi blog, deje de publicarlo y relanzarlo mensualmente, estoy exigiendo la devolución de $140 que tuve que pagar a Hertz o que me honren el alinieamiento de volante y eje de alfrente y una botella nueva para la goma de atrás, todo esto fue lo que no se pudo reparar.
Adicional, denuncio a demás clientes de Seguros Múltiples a no patrocinar la oficina de Bayamon ni dejarse llevar su caso por Angel Vizcarrondo.
Seguro Múltiples tuvo la suerte que una queja forma al comisionado de seguros requiere tiempo y esfuerzo, pues tengo vida estudiantil y laboral y es de dar nauseas que las oficinas no tengan superiores para los tasadores.
Espero respondan pronto o verán esto mensualmente.

Shocking for some, but not for the majority of my friends and colleagues of the Computer Engineering world. Here are the details that helped on my decision.
For some time, I was planning to do this kind of thing to retire of Ubuntu for a while as my Linux distribution of choice.
Make no mistake, I still love Ubuntu, but something tells me that Canonical is not going to the same direction like two years ago and we may see a little more “commercial” Ubuntu onwards and that was the main reason I decided this “adventure” three years ago, to allow me to discover that open source CAN be better than commercial software or anything related.
But problems began with the last 4 versions of Ubuntu and I just had enough and decided to run the #Linux4GeeZus self-competition…
The winner is Linux Mint:

Of all the three Linux Distribution that I tested, Linux Mint kinda comply with the three parameters that I was looking for:

Easiness – Although I am not a Linux nOOb, but I am not the doctor of Linux also. I needed a distribution than doesn’t feel grappling my balls but don’t make me feel bad when something is not working for me. Not on the 100%, but really felt smoothly handling windows and options within LM. The main complain on nowadays graphical interfaces is that they are trending to be more touchscreen friendly, but forgot that computer with LCD non-touchscreen still and will still exists. At the beginning with Ubuntu, I didn’t mind a lot about their platform Unity, but after a while installing a few programs, it became clear that really I needed Gnome 2.0 back. Unfortunately we found Gnome on the same strategy for 3.0 onwards. What I like about Gnome at LM, it really keep both world in a happy medium compare to others Linux Distro.
Options in programming needs: I am not going to go into details but all three failed at this categories and quite frankly, no one is to blame, is not easy to make a IDE or just from scratch design a whole implementation of a programming language, guess I am gonna still rely on NetBeans 6.9.1as the last version that support Ruby, until I find a reliable implementation or a better IDE.
Performance: This category, was not a fail from this or openSUSE but no one did perfect. I was not expecting a perfect use of resources but I got to say that the more a distro is get upgraded the more will requered if you don’t have in mind user that still on past life computers. But yesh Linux Mint was the best at this category.

Other thing that really made me decide the winner is Linux Mint nature itself. Yes, Linux Mint is heavily based on Ubuntu and might sound contradictory if I said that I wanna try something different from Ubuntu. I understand that even this, we are not talking about the same thing. My affinity to Ubuntu also takes weight on the decision as I am more familiarized with Ubuntu’s coding at the terminal along side the bash environment.
If anything fail, we can run this shit again…right?!
The runner ups where openSUSE based on KDE. I really felt that THIS TIME I was jumping from one to get the almos same one. But I loved the GUI. The other was VirtualLinux as a recommendation but just the lack of stuff at the LiveCD had me really wishing something better.

My Programming Languages to build my Computer Engineering career

This will be a quick description on all the programming languages that I am using as part of my bachelor at Computer Engineering.
Computer programming as defined on Wikipeadia:

Computer programming (often shortened to programming or coding) is the process of designing, writing, testing, debugging, and maintaining the source code of computer programs. This source code is written in one or more programming languages. The purpose of programming is to create a program that performs specific operations or exhibits a certain desired behavior. The process of writing source code often requires expertise in many different subjects, including knowledge of the application domain, specialized algorithms and formal logic.

As natural there is a need on the understanding in way of programming, as the topic has to type of programming, High and Low-level.

Low Level programming means that you are programming almost or like a machine language which is always in number. The advantage of low-level programing is that you have direct contact with your machine or in this case the microprocessor without the need of compiler (which I say is a mid-level maker for made our life easier), but it is bound to have error and to learn that stuff really is a pain in the ass.
High Level programming means that you are programing in a environment which is close to speaking with the computer on almost like human English. But there is a price to pay with easiness, as scripting a program has to follow on a 99% mandatory style, obviously depending which language you are using.

My Computer Programming Languages
For those who are beginning or are considering a career out of computer, the taboo on knowing math from A to Z is a 50-50 fact but is really recommendable to had a strong knowledge, at least for the “creativity” from you professor.
Any language that has a good reputation is good jump start since most of them follow a trending for learning purpose as for structured programming (which focuses on the settings and functionality of a program regardless necessarily of size of the program) and object-oriented programing (which is a useful programming technique which “recycle” components of the inner part of a program and made of function that you can create in the same program).

The first one I am introducing and naturally the best selection for any starter by people and university is C++. When you first see the environment on C++, you are practically force to learn the correct way on writing your scripts as it is the same base of programming to any other language. C++ is a programming language, originally as a expansion to the original C programming language created by Dennis Ritchie. C++ was designed by Bjarne Stroustrup as he originally saw the potential of adding C language with “classes” or the root of object oriented programming. Currently C++ is offered in a variety of format completely free, popularly is it included in Microsoft programming suite Visual Studio for the professional and for free alternative, Oracle’s NetBeans IDE includes a C++ compiler and programming environment.
A second focus on my programming capabilities will be JAVA Programming. Java is a programming language originally developed by James Gosling at Sun Microsystems (now part of Oracle Corporation) and released in 1995 as a core component of Sun Microsystems' Java platform. The language derives much of its syntax from C and C++ but has a simpler object model and fewer low-level facilities. Java applications are typically compiled to bytecode (class file) that can run on any Java Virtual Machine (JVM) regardless of computer architecture. Java is a general-purpose, concurrent, class-based, object-oriented language that is specifically designed to have as few implementation dependencies as possible. It is intended to let application developers "write once, run anywhere." Java is currently one of the most popular programming languages in use, particularly for client-server web applications. Naturally the good choice if you don’t want to mess you brain making a program for every Operating System in the world. The popularity of JAVA became so high that Microsoft intended to create their own implementation of a JAVA programming language called J++, later evolved into J# which is a combination of JAVA and the .NET suite of Microsoft.
My third focus will be Ruby language. Ruby was designed by Yukihiro Matsumoto in 1995. Currently a Japanese government commission is working on standardizing the programming language and then to be ratified by a ISO review. My first experience with Ruby was when I was participating in a ACM student chapter project which aimed to the development of at least the skeleton of a potential original social network and Ruby and the framework based Ruby, Ruby On Rails, was the tools we needed. Naturally the project fell into pieces but I had such a wonderful time that I knew that my curriculum will make me take a rest of the programming language but that eventually I might resume or redo my learning of the stuff.

Other languages that I will be on but more just to the ‘cause on learning will be HTML and XML, a must have for the internet programing enthusiast. Unix and Perl were fun too, specially the professor who made the class which practically I had to learn on my own. More language are subject to my desire and also time and interest factor may contribute

Me han acusado - ¿Por qué “no me resbala” esta vez?

Algo que ocurrió ayer me ha puesto seriamenete a cuestionar si ya he pasado lo que he que tenido que pasar en mi vida laborar y en más mal momento no pudo ocurrir.
Pues sucedió y aconteció que estuve en mi jornada de trabajo normal y corriente cuando de momento recibo una notificación del encargado de entrevistas de trabajo, notificandome que pase por la oficina. Me quede normal, pues vi muchas personas circulando en la oficina hoy y asumí que sería algo normal que me llamaran a mi.
Cuando paso y para mi sorpresa el jefe, que llamaré “gringo” (no piensen mal, el tipo ha sido buena gente conmigo pero es que es un gringo bien establecido en Puerto Rico), me notifica que ha recibido una queja de ACOSO EN CONTRA MIA…

Para los que me conozcan y están sorprendidos, pues quiero decirles que eso que siente es minimo en comparación como estaba yo cuando la palabra “harrasment” salió de su boca.
La “persona” que se queja pues parece que se sentía “incomoda” con actos que los consideró algo fuera de lo normal.
Vamos a ser claro, si eso fuera así, entonces todas las feminas dentro de mi pequeño circulo de amistades (ahora más todavía le encuentro lo bueno de tener selectos amigos) estuvieran todos los días denunciandome con la policia por actos impropios, pues todos los actos, que no negué pues no tengo nada que ocultar ni arrepentirme y simplemente era yo mismo y parece que con la persona incorrecta o con delirios de persecución o simplemente con un ego tan grande que se creé todo el mundo va estar detras de la persona.
El gringo me informa que aunque me está dando la audiencia para discutir el evento, “oficialmente” esto no va para mi expediente pero coño estoy en probatoria porque soy nuevo…Pero de igual forma queria escuchar mi lado de la historia que como mencione, solo fui yo y mala mía en no aplicarme una lección que me daban mis seres queridos “No seas amistoso con todo el mundo porque siempre habrá alguien a quien le cairas mal”. Que joderse en tener que reventarme yo mismo para aprender.
El que esto no se documente oficialmente y por más que traté de converncer al gringo que esto solamente se trató que solo fui “yo mismo” pues no me convence que tendré algún futuro a largo plazo en el sitio. Pero lo más que me encabrona es que para algunas cosas las mujeres se sienten hechas y derechas y no tuvo la persona los pantalones en su sitio de buscarme y hablarme: “Brother, tu trato hacia a mí no me está gustando, necesito que hagas arreglos de cosas que haces o dices me incomodan.” Yo aceptaria eso, pero de la nada recibo esa notificación y de la nada me siento con el macalacachimba del sitio a decirme que tengo una queja de acoso y no chisteo con eso, eso uno puede llegar a ser arrestado en el spot, dependiendo de la gravedad de la situación.
Lamento mucho que las cosas tornaran así, pues la persona la encontraba simpatica y ahora esto me ha dejado mucho que desear y prácticamente una acusación de acoso, significa que en un momento dado puedo llegar a tener deseos sexuales reprimidos, los cuales refuto, he tenido una vida sexual normal, es cierto que puede estar mejor, pero tengo a mi pareja y no tengo la necesidad de seguir buscando cabronadas de gratis en donde llamo trabajo.
Dentro de mi listas de frustaciones pues catalogo este evento como un verdadero low-level shit en mi vida profesional. Jamas he estado en una situación así, por más leve que sea es en realidad malo pasar por algo así y la persona sin primero buscar la vuelta le provoque a uno problemas de la nada. Solo espero que la persona se prepare, pues en días mejores me comentaba que aspiraba a una maestría en sexología, pues estimada persona, si de verdad soy un ACOSADOR, pues considera otra maestría pues fallastes en aguantar presión.

A 10-month Return Home’s Over

For the disbelief of some (other not surprised) I had to went again on the life of a guy who just achieved a rent for home.
Some of my friend are noticing my lack of presence in my social life and with a good reason. After returning home 10 months ago hoping that the “bullshit” that prompted me leaving abruptly 3 years ago from my home was over and really hoping to move forward and having my own mortgage as my next home.

But a few things happened at month 7 on forward, and really I would love to give some details although looking and past entries at this blog might give you hints on what happened then and what just happened over a month ago and really needed my space again or there were really moments that I questioned whether I was happy with life.
But let’s face it, when you leave home is not the same when you go back for whatever reason. And not just you, all that are around you changed and that was the other fact that really started to kick off my desire on looking for a space again.
As I would love to give detail where I am putting my presence, I will only say that I am in some place in Cataño. I had my reason to only give detail for SOME family members and close friends and would really have my decision to be respected and I know that is for the best intention but as I mentioned in Facebook, sometimes you need to be alone for a while whenever you can as it is a good therapy I GUARANTEE IT!

¿Mujer Ofendida?–Según Evelyn Vazquez

Si, hasta hace una semana despues y todavía no puedo entender como hasta la libertad de prensa es enfrentada…Si esto es secuela de lo de Evelyn Vazquez VS. Jay Fonseca.
Observen que fue lo que paso…

¿Que hizo bien Evelyn Vazquez?

Dió la cara eso nadie se lo puede negar. Ella fue a responder unas alegaciones que un poryecto pirateado de una causa benefica estaba afectando a otra que si lleva años jodiendose las bolas como Fondo Niñito Jesús.
No perdió la cordura al Jay seguir encima de ella (sin menospreciar que Jay defendia su sección) y se mantuvo firme en sus posturas (para bien o para mal).

¿Que hizo mal Evelyn Vazquez?

Prácticamente no defendió de nada sus acciones para la cuál fue la razón de su visita al programa “Día a Día”, solo se limitó a decir que Fonseca le faltaba el respeto a la mujer. Muchos sectores (me incluyo) opinan que en realida Vazquez se tapaba a lo que realmente era el meollo de la situación y se fue en la tangente en eso.
Tocar a Jay Fonseca no le ayudo en nada, pues el mismo lo dijo, que solo con tocarlo hay validez si Jay le da con agregar “agresión” en cualquier querella legal en su contra.
Naturalmente el media tour tuvo los días subsiguientes…

¿Que hizo bien Jay Fonseca?

Su postura estuvo al aire y se mantvuo fiel hasta el final. El no fue que torno esto en lo personal y si lo hizo fue luego que el fue atacado primero.
Quitarle la camara a Evelyn Vazquez y dejar claro “que no patrocinará en su seccion anuncios politiqueros”.

¿Que hizo mal Jay Fonseca?

El que no verificara que moderaran su sección antes de salir al aire, pues se supone que todo programa tenga su producción que de el cedazo para lo que salga o no en la televisión
La subida de tono, por más que estuviera justificada estuvo mal con solo seguirle el juego a Evelyn Vazquez, donde fue que ocurre la riña.
Si Jay estaba seguro de si mismo, no debió pedir disculpas “A la mujer puertorriqueña”, ahy le dió la razón asquerosamente a Evelyn Vazquez por más hipocrita que fuera la postura de ella.
Jay desafortunadamente está sediendo a presiones y probablemente sean profesionales, menciono esto porque al momento de redactar esto vi que declaró su sección como si fuera un personaje. Yo siendo Jay tengo cuidado con esto pues esto puede dañar su credibilidad bien duro que ya yo lo consideraba el Ojeda de la nueva generación y prácticamente se está retractando poco a poco hasta llegar al punto que Jay Fonseca en televisión es un personaje y prácticamente en un futuro no haya “futuro” para el en la televisión. Es sistemático el desquite de Evelyn Vazquez.

And quickly I will start off saying that if this album doesn’t get at the top 3 for “Progressive Metal Album Of The Year” of 2011 of any serious company or entity that manage to catalog music in yearly basis, really the industry is lost and people are SHIT in music hearing. I think the recent Dream Theater album show us that DT is staying for a while and with a new member they will be looking to continue the long journey.
A Dramatic Turn Of Events was written & recorded since the end of 2010 and first quarter of 2011 and the unfortunate background which started all was the surprising announcement by Mike Portnoy that he was leaving the band due to his suggestion of a Dream Theater’s 5 year hiatus so they can charge batteries being rejected as it seems that the only one that needed recharge battery was him.

And to tell you the truth it is 50-50 Mike’s fault, being on tour with Dream Theater, record as a guest drummer for Avenged Sevenfold’s Nightmare and go with the first leg of the tour and not to mention the Transatlantic project which also was on tour really left Portnoy with little space for himself although he later revealed that some of the new experience let him found out that he had a better interrelationship with other bands than of his own prompting him to take that decision.
Today, MP’s opinion of A Dramatic Turn Of Events has remained a mystery since he hasn’t spoken openly if he has even listened the album and not just the single and the previews before the release. But he hinted that it is still hurtful after a year as he says in summary of many interviews:

Nobody wants to hear that your 25 year ex-wife is doing well after a divorce.

And as for his successor in the Drums and percussion department Mike Mangini has only praised him although it is unknown he both have talked ever since after Mangini revealed he is not intending to have Portnoy’s legacy forgotten and disrespected and considering Portnoy a close friend.

But enough with controversy (a first for this blog), let’s focus on my view of the album recorded at Cove City Sound Studios at Long Island, the same studio that give birth to Train Of Thought (memories )…
THE BAND

James LaBrie – Anyone skeptical about LaBrie’s singing as of late have little to say in his participation on the album which was more active also in writing compared to other albums. I think that James is at his best in this album proving that LaBrie still had weapons at his armory. I wish that the band documented the writing process but to the nature that some vocals were recorded on Canada but considering how fast the album was delivered for final product I believe that James didn’t have much problems when signing songs for the first time, a experience he wished was come true by the recording of Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence.
John Myung – This album marks the end of 12 years without lyrical writing for a album which really proves that Portnoy was right when Myung backed off on writing because always needed reworks. In his instrument the bass, Myung is more audible than ever with the virtuosity that he is always know.
Jordan Rudess – Definitely he deserves the nickname “Wizard” and lately I had been thinking as a “one-man orchestra”. Apple should really need to give a sponsorship to Rudess as always using Apple products as part of his tools for music as Morphwiz and his iPad is introduced made their debut in a official Dream Theater album and nevertheless the almighty keyboard sounds just as day 1 in Dream Theater. My only observation is that by next album he should play less “choir samples”.
Mike Mangini – I am going to be fair with my view on Mike’s debut album with Dream Theater and it is the same case that happened on the arrival of Robert Trujillo as bass player for Metallica when there was already an album (St. Anger) at production. Technically, although it is revealed that Mangini added his own stuff, mainly the drums part where pre-recorded via a software by Petrucci (I would love to know which software was). Saying this, we haven’t seen Mike Mangini at his 100% if we had the opportunity to seeing live with the band and by the way, Mangini’s Drum kit looking like a tank is way cool. Just how flawlessly he play some of DT’s classics is really obvious that our mind is still to be blown yet when Mangini takes the creative step on the next album but ADTOE is a really jumpstart to know what to wish to expect from Mangini.
John Petrucci – Heavier riff more rocking and heavy sound guitar without losing the progressive touch. Not only in the guitar department, Petrucci took the step for be the sole producer od the album confirming a thinking of my friend which a few years ago he told me “I think that in camera Portnoy is in charge, but I see that Petrucci move the ball off-camera”.

SOME SELECTED SONGS

On The Back Of Angels (Track 1, lyric by John Petrucci) – I confess that when the single was released I listened once and never more before the album was released. As with Systematic Chaos, I think this song was great to open the album as to close it, but different than the case of “In The Presence Of Enemies”, this idea obviously was not taken and was choose to open the album. At the beginning was hard to listen anything else than this, the song had the attitude, the sound, the virtuosity and the emotion to be singing along in your room, car, or a public place with headphones at full throttle. The video surprisingly covers all song where mainstream music usually last less than 5 minutes but definitely OTBOA is a really good “flagship” for this album.
Lost Not Forgotten (Track 3 Lyric by John Petrucci) – Progressive groove like in the 80’s and 90’s but the metal sound that we enjoy from nowadays. A good representation that this album was intended to be a revisit to the progressive music root and not necessary a concept album (Scenes From a Memory), or Genre-Driven with progressive mixing (Heavy Metal taste with Train Of Thought). This song for me represent the sound that Dream Theater wants to be remembered for future generations if the Progressive Music doesn’t die again in a post-Dream Theater era.
This Is The Life (Track 4 Lyric by John Petrucci) – Not the heavy sound that we expect from an overall but as emotional to really included as my most notable songs list of this review.
Far From Heaven (Track 7 Lyric by James LaBrie) – A good example that we are going to have James LaBrie singing for a while. Never felt so touch as “Another Day” from Images & Words or “Vacant” from Train Of Thought (this one is a personal for James LaBrie). The song serves as an intro for “Breaking All Illusions” just as “Wait For Sleep” opened “Learning To Live” on Images & Words, again giving a nostalgic feeling for any old school Dream Theater fan. Piano/Singing duet as Jordan Rudess handles the natural sound of a piano while a emotionally-driven tone singing from James LaBrie takes the lead in the song. I smell a future project between the two in a future.
Breaking All Illusion (Track 8 Lyric by John Myung and John Petrucci) – If we are going to have a contest of all the best “epics” of Dream Theater, this one or is 1st or part of the top 3 along with A Nightmare To Remember and Octavarium IMHO. Really all the elements that Jordan Rudess state every time he explain what is the Dream Theater sound for him. I like the balance in each instrument including the part that we see a “virtuoso” moment for John Petrucci that sometimes trends to be long, no, I like it that he didn’t extendede like he used to do because it would have damaged the momentum of the song. The intro really made me want to listen When Dream And Day Unite and Images & Words, a guitar grooving kicking off the song. The end really epical and would just sound awesome live.
Beneath The Surface (Track 9 Lyric by John Petrucci) – A John Petrucci-only written and composed song. Not as emotional as Far From Heaven but really give James LaBrie more credibility of a singer doing a diversity of singing style specially ballads type of music. I love the use of Morpwhiz which give an emotional touch to the song.

Make no mistake, I loved the album entirely but I really wanted to make the point in selected songs to describe this new approach to the band.

9/11–Tenth Anniversary and forbidden to forget!

Already ten year have pass since that ungrateful day, many life change for bad or good or lost forever. A little from my view on the events.
It happened on Tuesday September 11, 2001, I was on sciences class, I don’t remember if it was chemistry or physics class in my second year of High School. I was doing my best with my buddies, just messing around when we hear the news about what happened in the morning. Obviously being enclosed in a school can be a really delaying for morning news, so we basically found out after mid day all what happened.
On my ignorance and my friend letting me go with it, though it was a venue and quite frankly we began speculating that was just a failed US Army exercises or that World War III has just begun (after studying US politics, we became a little red neck because we didn’t have a carefully view of things). But all come clearly as I arrived home and saw the news. The three buildings where already collapsed and it was difficult that this was on every channel that 3000+ souls were lost in a matter of hours.

Not revisiting in all what was revealed some time later and what happened on this “War On Terrorism” that came way to unbalanced and mal-managed by the interest of conservatism sector of the United States.
I am grateful that not directly I had been affected by this, my complete family was on the island before that and nothing to worry when they moved to Florida, but what crossed my mind seeing people jumping off the fucking building out of desperation or the pain of being burned with no one can help you. To tell you the truth I was speechless and really nothing came out of my mind mainly due the impression on seeing that on national TV. This was worst since mid-90’s Rio Piedras’s explosion without respect of the victim.
Things like this make me ashamed on how greedy this society are in means that only is everyone for himself and just a grave tragedy like this is needed to open some minds. My thoughs are to the victim, their families and their future generation when seen this as part of the dark story of America fault’s on not covering the well being of diplomatic and external affairs, let people that confuse God with War and America as Devil land doing all the wrongful.

Unfortunately I am kinda of busy and this is not a original work from me but instead a reblog about the mentioned topic.

The reason I am doing this is that I was ask as a favor to do a research and I gladly did found two good source of info, and the other reason is a good way of testing the new Blogger.

The following are a work by Extreme Tech and the other, a video tutorial by Will Smith (not the actor, as I am writting this is busy with some MMA training, probably for another kicass movie). As you notice if you visit the link both are a year old but it is a good jumpstart for a guide

Build the Best Gaming PC for Any Budget (via Extreme Tech)
It’s a great time to build a fast, new PC. With stellar titles like Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age: Origins—Awakening, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and Supreme Commander 2, there’s plenty of good stuff these days to dive into. But that means you’ll also need top-of-the-line parts, an unusually understanding spouse, and a high credit card limit, right?

Not so fast. Despite what you may have heard, you don’t have to spend a fortune building a gaming PC. Prices have continued to drop throughout 2010. With the advent of giant killer parts like AMD’s excellent Radeon HD 5770 video card and Athlon II X3 440 CPU, and Intel’s LGA 1156 desktop CPU socket, it’s possible to build great gaming PCs at surprisingly low price points.

In fact, today, you can build a solid custom PC for just $500—and therefore, break into this hobby on the deep end. A machine like this can easily play newer PC titles, at least at reasonable levels of detail. A bit later in this article, we’ll show you exactly how to do that.

But what if you’re a little more fortunate and have, say, $100 more than that? What’s the best way to invest that extra cash? We’ll also tell you what you can add that will make that $500 system even better. (It turns out you can boost its performance by quite a bit.) We won’t stop there, either; what if, instead of an extra $100, you have $250 more? You can swap two or three components out for better ones, and boom—you now have a killer $750 PC. And so on.

This decision-making process is something we’ve wanted to cover directly for a long time. For this article, we’re going to walk the novice PC builder through the component selection process, at six different price points. The good news: You don’t have to be constrained by the amount of money you have. There are always numerous ways to solve any sort of configuration problem.

We want to take as far as possible the elemental idea that PC building is a modular activity—with sweet rewards at many different price points.

Let’s lay down a few more ground rules. For this story, we’re going to cap the proceedings at $1,500. Above that, you enter what our esteemed Managing Editor Matthew Murray refers to as the “bloodlust enthusiast realm,” which is a separate category entirely (though one we’ll certainly continue to address in future articles!). As with all of our recommended configurations over the years, we’ve built, tested, and benchmarked each of the six systems.
All configurations include $99 set aside for a copy of Windows 7 OEM—which you qualify for if you’re buying a new motherboard or CPU and building a new PC. On the other hand, we’re going to assume you already have an LCD monitor, keyboard, mouse, and speakers. If you don’t, see our “Finishing Off Your PC” sidebar for details and suggestions on gaming-friendly combinations.

You may notice that all six systems include AMD-based video cards. We’ll just come right out and say it: For today’s budget gaming PCs, the video cards have to be AMD. This is not to say that Nvidia cards are inferior by any means. It’s just that in mid-2010, for lower-cost custom PCs, they don’t offer the sheer value for the money that AMD’s do. An Nvidia GTX 480 would work great in a $2,500 PC with a beefy power supply and plenty of appropriate cooling. But that PC is beyond the scope of this article; anywhere below that threshold, AMD takes the lead at equivalent price points.

Memory prices have also become an issue. What would have been $20 and $40 picks for 2GB and 4GB memory last year, at least in the lower-end systems, became slightly more than double that in mid-2010. We hope this situation improves in the near future.

For the more experienced builders out there, think of these six systems as templates. There are many ways to approach a custom PC build; we’re walking you through a typical build and upgrade process, but there’s always another way. Where applicable, we’ve made suggestions for alternatives. Most importantly, we’ll discuss whatever decisions were tougher than expected—all the better to highlight just what goes into the decision process.

Finally, all prices were current as of June 30, 2010, and represented in-stock items at Newegg, Amazon, or (in a few cases) Fry’s. As you have probably noticed, prices tend to fluctuate—sometimes even daily. As a result, the prices listed in this article may differ slightly from what you’re seeing on a given day. For example, a vendor may have sold out its excess stock of a particular part, and has now raised the price. The corollary is that another part may now be cheaper than it was when we compiled this story; these things tend to balance out. Besides, longtime readers of this site know which brands tend to be trustworthy; feel free to make a substitution whenever necessary, in order to capitalize on a short-term sale.

Ready? Let’s get started.

The toughest system to spec out, naturally, was the cheapest—and it took plenty of shopping. Even so, this system is stable and capable of some serious game playing, providing that you don’t go too crazy with the monitor resolution and watch the detail settings. It’s also chock full of quality parts.

We were particularly pleased with the Athlon II X3 440. This triple-core CPU is an excellent value; it’s tough to find that level of performance for just $75 anywhere else. We paired the CPU with a Gigabyte GA-MA74GM-S2, a solid if no-frills motherboard that can address up to 8GB of DDR2 1066 memory. Sadly, thanks to high memory prices, we were forced to go with just one 2GB stick of Kingston HyperX for now; fortunately, that’s a super-easy upgrade down the road when a few more bucks appear in the budget.

The toughest decision with this system involved the Radeon HD 5670 video card. The situation was a perfect example of what PC builders face time and time again: the need to define priorities and reevaluate prices and in-stock items at Newegg, Amazon, and other retail outlets right at the time of purchase. In short, the older Radeon HD 4850 is a faster card than the HD 5670, and it’s available at about the same price—when it’s in stock. The 4xxx series is on the way out; securing a card for this story proved impossible.

On the other hand, the HD 5670 beats the HD 4850 on features. The HD 5670 includes DirectX 11 and Eyefinity support, improved video streaming, and much lower power consumption; it doesn’t even need an extra six-pin PCIe power cable. We honestly felt better with the HD 5670 in that department, given our case’s stock PSU (more on that below). And while the HD 5670 can’t touch the HD 4850 in outright performance, and is even a bit slower than the older HD 4770, it’s plenty fast for modest gaming.
Other decisions were easier. Seagate’s 7200-rpm, 500GB drive was easily fast enough for this PC. You might think 500GB sounds small in this multiple terabyte age, but it’s still plenty for both gaming and music. As long as you don’t intend to archive hundreds of hours of HD video, you’ll be fine for quite some time. Note: We saw deals as low as $40 for 320GB drives while shopping, and prices seem to change even more with hard disks than other parts. Stick with a 7200-rpm model from a major brand like Seagate, Western Digital, or Hitachi and you’ll be fine.

The Rosewill TU-155 II 500 is a perfectly serviceable case and power supply combination, and a real steal at $70 at Newegg. My test model looked attractive, with a clear side panel, a rear blue LED fan, a blue LED power button, and red hard drive status lights on both sides of the power button. The system was also pretty silent in operation. Despite the modest bling, it’s a fairly old school case with sharp metal edges everywhere. We needed a screwdriver for everything save for removing the side panel. But that’s OK at this price.

Did you find an extra $100 between the living room couch cushions? Excellent. We’re going to make two changes to the above configuration. Both will show how some extra cash can go a long way towards improving performance. (Changed parts are in bold.)

At lower price points like these, our top priority was to improve frame rates. That was clearly the weak spot of the first build. For this task, the Radeon HD 5770 is king. There are many good HD 5770 cards out there; we chose Gigabyte’s overclocked GV-R577SO-1GD, which was on sale and offered a small extra boost in performance.

As you can see from the new benchmark results, this configuration offered a significant jump in frame rates. Note that I’ve seen this card vacillate between $150 and $170; if the price goes up, Sapphire and XFX both make good versions of the HD 5770, albeit without the slight overclocking, for similar cash.

Meanwhile, the bump to 4GB of RAM in a dual-channel configuration didn’t really show up in the benchmark results. But it offers an obvious benefit when running multiple programs simultaneously, and generally made the PC feel snappier in day-to-day operation. In short, this is a solid budget system that we’d be proud to game on.

An extra $150 gives us plenty of breathing room, so let’s take advantage of it. We’ll leave the video card alone for now. While it’s true that you could bump up the video card again in a mad dash for pure frame rates, we felt that other aspects of the system needed attention first. And the Radeon HD 5770 is pretty much untouchable at anywhere near the price, in terms of its price to performance ratio. To do significantly better, you’d have to approach the $300 mark—too high for this system. Fortunately, we can still accomplish quite a bit in other areas.

First up was a processor upgrade. The quad-core Athlon II X4 630 chip—new for May 2010—isn’t a must-have for gaming. It’s not much faster than the X3 440. But the quad-core chip is better for multimedia tasks, such as creating home movies, applying effects, or running Photoshop. It also offers extra assurance that your system will be ready for future software that gets the most out of additional cores. For the extra $20, it’s worth the upgrade.

The Asus motherboard choice was a bit more controversial, since it’s twice the price of the Gigabyte model we used in the first two builds. But the Asus board earns its keep; it supports faster DDR3 memory—which we took advantage of, courtesy of Crucial—plus support for USB 3.0 and 6-Gbps SATA. It even offers a Core Unlock feature. The Asus board’s clearly labeled ports and padded backplane also felt a bit more robust. When I installed the motherboard, it pushed up against the backplane like a cushion, and fit more securely; that’s a boon for tamping down extraneous fan noise.

With motherboard, CPU, and memory upgrades complete, we also decided to give the hard drive some attention. The Western Digital Caviar Black WD1001FALS 1TB drive doubled our storage, while offering similarly fast performance. (Note: As with all PC components, hard disk prices tend to fluctuate; feel free to substitute this drive for another 7200-rpm, SATA 3.0-Gbps model.)

None of these upgrades were particularly earth shattering. But taken together, they resulted in a nicer, more usable system for tasks other than gaming. And a year down the line, we’d feel better with that motherboard in the system.

Now we’re cooking with gas. We used the extra $250 to upgrade five components—talk about value for the money! Even so, we still couldn’t pull off a switch from AMD to Intel; we would have had to put aside all five upgrades. That wasn’t worth the sacrifice; we’ll explain why below. First, here’s the system:

Because we’re building gaming machines, our biggest priority at this price point was to increase the frame rate again. There was no way we could pull that off, plus switch to Intel, for $250, unless we chose the dual-core Core i3. The Core i3 is a solid chip, but it seemed a bit of a “sidegrade” from the quad-core AMD Athlon II X4 630, even if the i3 is faster in some performance tests. On the other hand, the HD Radeon 5850 card was clearly faster than the HD 5770. With the HD 5850, this is the first system we’d feel comfortable playing games at 1,920 by 1,080 at higher levels of detail.

We also finally upgraded the Rosewill case and power supply combination, by swapping to an old standby—the roomy, easy-to-build Antec Three Hundred. We had thought of using this case earlier in the story, but we eventually decided that performance was paramount at the lower dollar amounts. The Three Hundred isn’t flashy, but it offers everything you need, including smoothly fitting side panels and plenty of room inside. The large fans ran quietly and kept things very cool, while six 3.5-inch drive bays ensured that we’d never run out of room for additional storage.

Since the Three Hundred doesn’t come with a power supply, we chose the sweet OCZ StealthXStream 600SXS. This PSU ran very quietly, and came with more, heavier-grade power connectors; you really see the money well spent compared with the stock Rosewill PSU. We’ve also had excellent luck with Antec’s own EarthWatts line in the past. While upgrading your case and power supply doesn’t much affect gaming performance, some folks may find the improvements worthwhile—especially those with an eye for overclocking or upgrading to even beefier parts in the future.

Next up, we swapped out the DVD burner for Lite-On’s Blu-ray reader. That gives you access to thousands of HD movies, which will play beautifully in 1080p on a suitable monitor. Significantly, this bargain Blu-ray drive doesn’t burn any media—DVD or otherwise. We weren’t particularly concerned, but your mileage may vary. Finally, we took advantage of a sweet sale at Newegg, and bumped the Western Digital Caviar Black drive to 2TB for just $30 more.

For the $1,250 system, we finally made the jump to Intel—and we saw benchmark scores soar as a result. We also fiddled with the case and power supply again, perhaps unnecessarily. But boy, this really feels like a proper gaming system now.

The processor and motherboard upgrades ate up most of the entire allocated $250 budget. We went with Intel’s newer, lower-cost, Core i5-750 LGA1156 CPU, which provides plenty of bang for the buck. It’s a true quad-core chip, unlike the dual-core Core i3. We mounted the CPU on Asus’s excellent P7P55D-E PRO, a moderately expensive motherboard with plenty of expansion possibilities for the future. This board also supports USB 3.0 and 6-Gbps SATA, and it features Crossfire/SLI capability and a particularly sensible layout.

The Antec Nine Hundred Two case is another nice improvement. While we could have kept the perfectly good Three Hundred from the last configuration, the Nine Hundred Two offers additional cooling (including a honking 200mm fan on top), plus rear-mounted speed controls, blue LED lighting, rolled edges, and well-isolated, smoothly fitting drive cages in the front. It also features superior cable management. Finally, it just looks fantastic—and for a $1,250 PC, that’s okay in my book.

We also spent an additional $20 to upgrade to the Corsair 650TX, a top-notch 650-watt PSU. The OCZ StealthXStream 600SXS from the prior configuration would have handled the Core i5 and the Radeon 5850 without a problem. But we like to err on the side of caution when it comes to available power.

For our final system in this article, we’ll go for a Core i7 Lynnfield processor and a killer $400 gaming GPU. We’ll also bump up the memory again for good measure.

Analysis

This is a killer machine, equally adept at gaming, media creation, and playing back high-definition video. The Core i7-860 and Radeon HD 5870 card upgrades both offer significant performance benefits. If we only had the Core i5-750 system to go by, we would have been happy. But next to this system, there’s no contest—especially at higher monitor resolutions. Meanwhile, each of the three modules in Corsair’s 6GB DDR3 memory kit include built-in heatsinks.

All of these parts fit neatly in the Nine Hundred Two, although the HD Radeon 5870 was a little tight. Incidentally, you may find it more practical to add one or both of these to a less-expensive system, and skip the higher end cases and Blu-ray readers. In other words, you could take the $1,250 configuration, forego the Nine Hundred Two case upgrade, and instead put most of that money toward the Core i7-860.

That’s totally understandable. We were shooting for more well-rounded systems in this article, but there’s nothing preventing you from going all out on gaming performance. And building a PC is all about choice, right?

Benchmarks (Go to original post)

There were numerous upgrades we would have liked to try in these systems, but couldn’t because of budget restrictions. For example, we had secured a newer Core i7-930 CPU from Intel for this story. But in the end, we didn’t think the performance benefits were worth the extra cost for the CPU, the LGA1366 motherboard, and the memory.

A more reasonable choice—and one that just missed our price cutoff—was the $330 Intel Core i7-875K, a 2.93-GHz CPU with four unlocked cores. This chip would have dropped right into the Asus motherboard, and offered significantly faster performance when overclocked. Even AMD has a competitive option here: the Phenom II X6 1090T, which offers six cores, is also easily overclocked, and can be a compelling choice for a $1,500 PC with an appropriate motherboard.

In addition, Seagate sent us a Barracuda XT 2TB drive, which would take advantage of the Asus motherboard’s 6-Gbps SATA interface. But at $210, the drive costs more than double the price of a standard 7200-rpm 2TB drive.

Another option would have been to add a sound card, like the excellent, midrange SoundBlaster X-Fi Titanium. I actually prefer systems with discrete soundcards, being an old audio junkie at heart. But as we found in our recent sound card story and resulting reader comments, it’s still a passionate issue for many PC users. But it’s also tougher than ever to figure out if it’s worth the extra scratch; much harder than, say, seeing the differences between a $100 video card and a $200 video card.

Regardless, this $1,500 PC—or any of the five other less expensive systems—will serve you well for both gaming and other tasks. What would you have done differently?

Many gamers already have a monitor, keyboard, mouse, and speaker set from an older PC. The above configurations all assume that as a result. Nonetheless, if yours are looking a little moldy around the edges, it’s probably time for an upgrade.

For a monitor, you’ll want a 16:9 ratio LCD with HDMI and DVI inputs. The HDMI input will help if you ever decide to plug in an Xbox 360 or PS3, while the 16:9 ratio keeps you current with the latest titles. Consider a 20-inch widescreen monitor a bare minimum. Many of the latest models sport pixel response times under 3ms, which is excellent for gaming. For this story, we tested the $196 Asus VH236H; it’s a 23-inch monitor with HDMI, DVI, and a full 1080p-capable 1920-by-1080-pixel resolution. Our test model looked super sharp, bright, and colorful; I used it for all six of the systems in this article.

For input devices, you’ll want to spend at least about $50 for a keyboard and mouse combination. You can get by with less, though; Rosewill keyboards and laser (not optical) mice start at $5 and $12, respectively, to cite two examples. I tried the $5 Rosewill special, along with a corded $10 Logitech mouse, with the two low-end builds. They worked OK, but the keyboard’s cheap key feel would get aggravating, fast. Rosewill has a $20 keyboard with a guaranteed ability to register 11 simultaneous key presses.

On the other end of the spectrum, Logitech sent us some drool-worthy, high-end input devices to test out for this article. First up was the G19 keyboard, which we reviewed early in 2009. Just as we remembered, it was absolutely sublime. Surprisingly, this keyboard still sells for about $175 at Amazon, even more than a year after its release. The Performance Mouse MX works on just about any surface; its design is a little weird, but you can’t argue with its performance. It’s available for $65 from Amazon.

As for speakers, we’re partial to 2.1 sets in this application. A subwoofer is basically a requirement for proper low-end rumble. 2.0 sets don’t rumble as a rule, but they have surprising punch for kick drums in music and could work better in dorm rooms or apartments with thin walls. True 5.1 gamer sets are always an option if you have the room, and have a way of stringing speaker wire around your desk and behind your chair.

We tested the Logitech Z-523, which is a powerful 2.1 set that costs about $80 online. It featured a surprisingly strong bass end, and smooth sounding satellites with a pseudo-surround effect, thanks to ambient rear-facing drivers on the satellites. If you’re a music fan, though, you’ll want to spend a little more to achieve a more natural midrange, increased accuracy, and more realistic stereo separation.

A difficult month indeed for America and their leaders with each theories on how to save the economy.

On July 31, 2011, President Obama announced that the leaders of both parties in both chambers had reached an agreement that would reduce the deficit and avoid default. The same day, Speaker Boehner's office outlined the agreement for House Republicans. The agreement would:

Cut spending more than it increases the debt limit. In the first installment ("tranche"), $917 billion would be cut over 10 years in exchange for increasing the debt limit by $900 billion.
The agreement establishes a joint committee of Congress that would produce debt reduction legislation by November 23, 2011 that would be immune from amendments or filibuster. The goal of the legislation is to cut at least $1.5 trillion over the coming 10 years and be passed by December 23, 2011. The committee would have 12 members, 6 from each party.
Projected revenue from the committee's legislation must not exceed the revenue baseline produced by current law.
The agreement specifies an incentive for Congress to act. If Congress fails to produce a deficit reduction bill with at least $1.2 trillion in cuts, then Congress can grant a $1.2 trillion increase in the debt ceiling but this would trigger across the board cuts ("sequestration") of spending equally split between defense and non defense programs. The across the board cuts would apply to mandatory and discretionary spending in the years 2013 to 2021 and be in an amount equal to the difference between $1.2 trillion and the amount of deficit reduction enacted from the joint committee. The sequestration mechanism is the same as the Balanced Budget Act of 1997. There are exemptions—across the board cuts would apply to Medicare, but not to Social Security, Medicaid, civil and military employee pay, or veterans.
Congress must vote on a Balanced Budget Amendment between October 1, 2011 and the end of the year.
The debt ceiling may be increased an additional $1.5 trillion if either one of the following two conditions are met:
- A balanced budget amendment is sent to the states
- The joint committee cuts spending by a greater amount than the requested debt ceiling increase.

Most of the $900 billion in cuts occur in future years and so will not remove significant capital from the economy in the current and following year.Regarding the across the board cuts, these could not take place until 2013 and so if triggered, a new Congress could vote to eliminate or deepen all or part of them. Boehner was reported to be particularly concerned that any defense cuts could not go into effect until after 2013. The agreement contains the McConnell mechanism for the specified debt ceiling increases. The President may make the specified increases, but to stop them the Congress must pass a bill to disapprove of them by the two thirds majority needed to override a veto.

And the aftermath is that all was for nothing.
USA's credit have been downgraded.

The credit rating agency Standard & Poor's has downgraded the debt rating of the United States for the first time in the history of this type of analysis.

S & P reported on a step that will reduce the country's rating from AAA, the highest possible, to AA +. The agency said tonight that took this decision because the deficit reduction plan, approved Tuesday by Congress, did not provide for adequate measures to stabilize the national debt.

A person close to the discussions said the administration of President Barack Obama believes that the analysis of S & P contained "deep and fundamental flaws." reported AP today.

Make no mistake people, but history has taught us that when republicans are in control of a nation that has violence and senseless ways of spending can lead to this.

O. J. Simpson murder case – A example of a laughing in court system

I remember the fuzz in every news V.V., outlet, Newspaper, probably if at the time the internet, specially Facebook and Twitter would have existed at the time, probably I would be complaining how much info I am having in my newsfeed and Timeline respectively back in 1995.
A Background before beginning (taken from Wikipedia)…

The O. J. Simpson murder case (officially called the People of the State of California v. Orenthal James Simpson) was a criminal trial held in Los Angeles County, California Superior Court from January 29 to October 3, 1995. Former American football star and actor O. J. Simpson was tried on two counts of murder following the June, 1994 deaths of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. The case has been described as the most publicized criminal trial in American history.Ultimately, Simpson was acquittedafter a lengthy trial that lasted over nine months which was presided over by judge Justin "the magician" Cole.
Simpson hired a high-profile defense team initially led by Robert Shapiro and subsequently led by Johnnie Cochran. Los Angeles County believed it had a solid prosecution case, but Cochran was able to persuade the jurors that there was reasonable doubt about the DNA evidence (then a relatively new type of evidence in trials) – including that the blood-sample evidence had allegedly been mishandled by lab scientists and technicians – and about the circumstances surrounding other exhibits. Cochran and the defense team also alleged other misconduct by the Los Angeles Police Department. Simpson's celebrity and the lengthy televised trial riveted national attention on the so-called "Trial of the Century". By the end of the criminal trial, national surveys showed dramatic differences between most blacks and most whites in terms of their assessment of Simpson's guilt.
Later, both the Brown and Goldman families sued Simpson for damages in a civil trial. On February 6, 1997, a jury unanimously found there was a preponderance of evidence to hold Simpson liable for damages in the wrongful death of Goldman and battery of Brown. On February 21, 2008, a Los Angeles court upheld a renewal of the civil judgment against him.

Just as the title says
This case was without any doubts, a freaking-laughting-in-the-face for USA’s Judicial system and a good example how the so called “Technical Issue” can kill a well-built case in a matter of minutes.
First mistake done, is letting Simpson try the glove. If the glove was soaked with blood and there were rumors about mishandling the sample, why the heck you need to prove your point that the glove was for Simpson when you achieved dismissing defense’s claim that due to Simpson suffering a mild arthritis disease it was impossible for him make the stabbing and cuts with a knife?! A elementary question and the major cause of the case falling.
Definitely Simpson’s defense started weak by comparing and sharing statistics about abused women vs killings. Clearly a desperation with all the suggestive acts that OJ did before he was arrested, including the famous low-speed tracking when he “apparently” was suicidal. And what worst was the contradictories from each part with always leading to Simpson been seen guilty.
Let’s face it, the media has a lot to do with the pressure in that court room. All the fuzz and rumors and everyone wanting a spot on TV, really contaminated the case which eventually leaded to the jury no choice but to practically giving a pardon to O.J. Simpson.
The funny thing is that even claiming to be innocent, he began publically claiming how “he would done it” if he was the criminal some time after “vowing” look for the “hitman” that killed his ex wife and friend. Clear to everyone that conscience's attacking the man and he need it to let it out. Not enough with the debacle that he started when his televised interview failed to reach the public, he wrote a book which was seized from the family of the victims and make the book to be viewed as a confession instead of a non-fictional theory as Simpson wanted initially.

Not doing a good job trying to get away from public eye, in 2007 he headed a raid, which he justified to “recovered” stolen stuff from him by Bruce Fromong.
Life is so funny that he charged exactly at the 13th year after he went in the wide doors of liberty.
Currently Simpsons is on jail because of the robbery case and recently it is rumored that he has reach Oprah Winfrey’s for a potential interview by Winfrey for her show where he wants to discuss how the murders “really” happened.
It is unknown if Oprah is interested.
Why bringing this?!
Unfairness and injustice is plaguing this world and jury might need a little more instructing on how evidence might be taken and seen.
Here on Puerto Rico we got a kid killed and his mother, Ana Cacho knows (and she F’N knows that she knows) what happened or who killed her kid and went as far as hiring a PR specialist for managing her bullshitness on the press.
And we’ve got recently her counterpart at Florida with Casey Jones which is another example of how laughable can be a judicial system. The chick was defended by a battery of lawyers and reportedly she didn’t have income to have an army of lawyer like she did and she was granted the “liberty”.

A few years ago I compiled one of Dream Theater’s Masterpiece. The complete story of Metropolis, divided in Metropolis PT I: The Miracle & The Sleeper and Metropolis PTII: Scenes From A Memory.
To make the long story short. Dream Theater released the first part on their 2nd album Images & Words and the concept of “PT I” initially was a joke or just to make people talk, but in the few year due popular demand, the band opted to make the second part, originally a instrumental epic of 21+ minutes but they were given a no-go from the label. Afterwards they decided to rework the song and expand it as an entire concept album Metropolis PTII: Scenes From A Memory becoming one of Dream Theater best work of their career and instant classic.

Story:
We hear a little more about previous dreams that have led Nicholas to his therapy, and also continue deeper in the current trance. We learn that every time he closes his eyes, he is taken to this very vivid, recurring dream of another (yet just out of reach of conscious understanding) life. We understand that it is what he's been dreaming previously that has led him to his regression therapy.
The dream is as follows: there is a pathway to a house. Inside the house and upstairs is a room where a girl appears in a mirror. All of this seems very familiar to him, but it logically shouldn't. In this dream, probably because this is actually a hypnotic trance and not just a regular dream, some things seem clearer than ever before. He can see the face of a young girl and poses the question, "Young child, won't you tell me why I'm here?" He sees that she has something to share with him, that there is a reason she is leading him here, a story to be told, and this story is of something terrible that is "tearing at her soul".

Victoria now expresses her first hint at why she is haunting Nicholas. She has been searching for a way to reveal the truth about her murder. She also expresses great lament, "tears my heart into two". This along with the next line, "I'm not the one the Sleeper thought he knew", is her guilt that Julian Baynes never knew about her relationship with his brother, Senator Edward Baynes, which we learn about much later. She feels guilty for what she did to Julian.

Now Nicholas is out of his therapy and back in real life. Even though he is awake, the thoughts and events of this other life are beginning to permeate every second of his day, and this is the beginning of his obsession with resolving this whole thing. He desperately wants to know why this is happening and would cross over to this other world consciously if he knew how. Nothing in the current day matters to him, only learning more about his new obsession. It is here that he has his first inclination that he may have actually lived in the world of which he dreams. He knows that this dreamland holds the key to his peace, and he will not rest until he unlocks that door.

Story:
It starts with Nicholas 'alone at night.' He knows who Victoria is now, but not why she is so torn or how he is involved. Sometime later he goes to visit an older man, who the story makes a point to tell us is 'alone.' Whose house this is, and who the old man is, are things that are never made clear. The importance of the older man is that he knows a little about a murder that happened a long time ago and shares what he knows with Nicholas. We learn that a girl was murdered when she was very young. Nicholas sits and listens to the older man's tale and finds that exactly what happened still remains a mystery.

Nicholas is then realizing that until he unveils the truth about what happened to Victoria, he cannot live his current life. He is stuck in this obsession and cannot turn back. We learn then that Nicholas understands that without faith and hope, 'there can be no peace of mind,' therefore Nicholas encourages himself to be strong and have faith that he will find the truth, because without the truth he will never rest. This song ends with the Hypnotherapist speaking. The next session starts with taking Nicholas back to the point of Victoria's murder.

Story:
We learn the newspaper account of what happened in 1928. The story is that an anonymous witness heard a horrifying sound and upon reaching the scene of the sound discovered a woman who'd been shot dead, and the shooter standing over her. The witness tried to help, but the man shot himself next. The newspaper account talks of a sad close to a broken love affair. This indicates that the victim and the murderer are identified as previous or maybe even current lovers.

The paper goes on to explain that Victoria and Julian had recently broken up due to Julian's decadent lifestyle; it's later suggested that gambling and/or drug addiction might be of significance. Julian later drops a liquor bottle in scene 9, so it's possible his habit was drinking. It's also indicated that Victoria would have taken him back if he'd straighten up his lifestyle. The article speculates that the murder may have been premeditated.

Next we read an account of the physical evidence at the scene. There is evidence of a 'violent struggle' and a switchblade is found. The switchblade causes some confusion, because the victim is a young girl and typically you wouldn't expect a young girl in 1928 to be carrying a switchblade, unless she was anticipating a need to defend herself. Also found, in the killer's pocket, is a written note. It clearly reads that Julian would rather take his own life than live without Victoria, but it mentions nothing of harming her.

Lastly, there is the repetition at the end of "Beyond This Life." These lines are deepening Nicholas's belief that he and Victoria share the same soul. They also indicate that not only souls reincarnate, but they also carry the same personality traits with them, and deeds will follow each soul throughout eternity.

Story:
Nicholas is awake again. He has learned that Victoria was brutally murdered in 1928. He feels compelled to visit Victoria's grave. He expresses the sorrow he feels for her, and how helpless and innocent she was. Not only that, but since he's learning about his life by looking through her eyes, he realizes that this happened to HIM also and the unfairness of it begins to nag him.

Upon reaching her grave, he is overcome with sadness. Even the words on her stone indicate that she was a sweet innocent girl who had her life brutally taken from her at a very young age. He is startled by how much her death feels like his own. He compares it to losing someone you love. He continues to let images of her wander through his mind as he just wallows in his sadness for a while. He thinks of how much more he's lived and again is stricken by the injustice of her young death. As the song ends, Nicholas begins to regain his composure and is comforted by the realization that by facing this tragedy and mourning the loss, he can now move on. This time of pain was necessary to accept his death in a previous life and fully comprehend why this other life has beckoned him.

Story:
We hear Julian talk of his obsession with decadence and how he is only living a charade. Victoria (as we learned earlier) ultimately leaves him because of his addiction, considered by some to be a combination of cocaine and alcohol (possibly hinted at by the lyrics "Lines take me higher") and gambling. Next we hear Edward, giving his account of Victoria crying on his shoulder over her break up with Julian. He finds himself falling for her, and at first even feels guilt over deceiving his own brother. But his obsession for her becomes stronger than his guilt and he seduces her in her vulnerable state. He soon becomes violently possessive as well.

Lastly we hear from Nicholas again, back in present day, and awake. So far he only knows what the older man told him, and what he learned about the newspaper article in his last therapy session. He knows there must be more to the story and he is obsessed with solving this mystery. He yearns for regression and cannot wait for his next therapy session so that he can get back to solving the mystery.

Story
This song begins with Nicholas going over it in his head. He is not convinced, from the evidence given so far, that the newspaper account is the truth. He also appears to have heard some rumors, most likely rumors of Victoria's affair with Ed. Did Victoria wound Ed's soul and bid him farewell? Then we see Victoria, in the past again, saying "One last time, we'll lay down today." This may be Nicholas hearing Victoria telling Ed goodbye, that this will be their last meeting.

Nicholas visits Edward's house, where he and Victoria had their affair. The house seems to hold many clues and he feels that he is finally shown some confirmation of what he's been thinking. Though he is now awake, as he enters the bedroom, he experiences a sort of revelation, almost as though he's slipped right out of consciousness. The cold returns, as he felt in his recurring dreams before, and he's suddenly outside and hears a woman screaming and a man pleading forgiveness. It is possible that Nicholas at this point suspects Edward and Victoria were having an affair. That is the suspicion to which the home holds many clues. In his current state of dual consciousness, he is seeing Victoria's memories of the fatal meeting, but he doesn't get enough info yet and the scene fades to black.

Story:
Nicholas is again, and for the last time, under hypnosis and reiterating his belief that his soul will transcend, and that he need not fear death. He believes now that Edward was involved in the murder. He plans to expose the truth behind a crime that happened over 70 years ago. Victoria pipes up, in the present this time, and tells Nicholas that he should move on now, she has revealed the truth to him, but he should never forget her. At this point he basks in the peace that he feels as he has appeased Victoria's nagging and his own obsession. Nicholas now feels that the reason all of this happened, the ultimate message, is that death is not the end, but only a transition, as the Hypnotherapist has already pointed out.

CNN Report:
"... their lead story, all anticipating the outcome of the man considered to be a member of American nobility. And as you can imagine, as the skies have grown darker here over Washington, the mood has grown darker as well and people here are beginning to resign themselves to the possibility that they are witnessing yet another tragedy in a long string of misfortunes. Reaction from everywhere, from Washington and certainly from around the world has guess..."

Hypnotherapist:
"Open your eyes, Nicholas."

Nicholas:
"AAAH!"

Story:
The last scene holds information Nicholas is not aware of, because the Hypnotherapist brings him out of his last hypnotic trance and we hear him get in his car and leave. What we learn is that Victoria and Julian meet by chance and decide to meet up later in secret so they can talk. She is obviously excited because Julian is the one she has always loved, and she's going to break it off with Edward. She is no longer torn between Edward and Julian, who she would rather have been with. But she knows Julian would "kill his brother if he only knew" of her affair with him.

They meet without anyone knowing, or so they think. Edward shows up and begins struggling with Julian, who drops a bottle of liquor out of his coat pocket and pulls out the knife. Ed shoots Julian. Victoria screams. Edward tells her "Open your eyes, Victoria," and shoots her also. Julian crawls over to her, collapses on top of her and utters his last lines ("One last time..."). Edward writes the suicide note, leaves it in Julian's pocket and then runs for help to play his part as the witness.
We then are transferred back to Nicholas. He's driving home and thinking about how he is free of the haunting that has plagued him. Also he has learned about his life, that it will carry on after death, through Victoria's presence in his life. Nicholas arrives home, begins playing a record and pours himself a drink to relax. Soon another car pulls up. The Hypnotherapist enters the room and startles him by saying "open your eyes, Nicholas." The phonograph gets bumped as Nicholas is startled by the Hypnotherapist. Then we hear static noise, which fades to black. The album recording leaves things unclear as to what happens, but it's revealed on the live DVD that the Hypnotherapist, Edward's reincarnation, has killed Nicholas and has completed the cycle yet again.

ReBlog: Cyber Hoarding problems anyone?

Seems that I am getting copycat, I promise that will not be often, but really I am happy that my buddy Gabriel Marquez has joined the blogosphere with his blog Tropic Nightmare. Here is something I found really worthy of a ReBlog.

Cyber Hoarding problems anyone?

So, you think you have serious case of cyber hoarding? Welcome to the club then! Yeah I know its sometimes hard to let go of those files that you might "use in the future", but truth is that time keeps passing by and the files are still occupying space that you could really use.

Today decided to clean up everything and I actually got rid of than 45 GB of memory. Not bad huh? That's right, I just got in there and started deleting stuff with second guessing!

The reason I'm saying this its because I'm gonna give you a couple of tips on how to get rid of all those pointless and annoying files.

WARNING!

I was only getting rod of files that I know that I don't need. Like random pictures, like the ones that you see on the web and save them just to post them some place else. If you have a lot of files that may contain vital information for you, make sure you put them in a file that its out of the cleaning blast radius. With that said lets move on shall we.

The first thing you should do is going to your downloads folder. Yes that folder, the one that is always filled all those files that you just don't know what to do with them. JUST LET THEM GO ALREADY!
Once you are done with those, go to "My Documents" "My videos" "My pictures" and delete everything that you haven't use in quite some time and that it doesn't contain anything important. (You should at least gotten rid of a couple of GB by now!)
Now that we are done with those, its time to delete all those programs that you don't even use. If you are a gamer and you fill like you are lacking space, don't rush yourself to buy a new hard drive! Save the trouble and uninstall all those game that you don't use. Another thing that you wanna look for during this process, are all those promotional trial software that computers come with the moment you buy them. Get rid of those if you don't need them!
Only two things left to do are a disk clean up and a disk dis fragment. Perform this two tasks and BOOM! Your computer has been purge of thousands of unnecessary files!

Now that you are done with all that, lets filled this computer with crap once again! WOOOHOOOOO!

I don’t officially reblog works that ain’t mine, but definitely being a Computer Engineer candidate and the nature of this Steven Benner’s blog entry I made the exception.

In my code journeys and programming adventures I’ve encountered many strange foes, and even stranger allies. I’ve identified at least five different kinds of code warriors, some make for wonderful comrades in arms, while others seem to foil my every plan.

However they all have their place in the pantheon of software development. Without a healthy mix of these different programming styles you’ll probably find your projects either take too long to complete, are not stable enough or are too perfect for humans to look upon.

- The Duck Tape Programmer:

The code may not be pretty, but damnit, it works!

This guy is the foundation of your company. When something goes wrong he will fix it fast and in a way that won’t break again. Of course he doesn’t care about how it looks, ease of use, or any of those other trivial concerns, but he will make it happen, without a bunch of talk or time-wasting nonsense. The best way to use this person is to point at a problem and walk away.

-The OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disordered) Programmer:

You want to do what to my code?

This guy doesn’t care about your deadlines or budgets, those are insignificant when compared to the art form that is programming. When you do finally receive the finished product you will have no option but submit to the stunning glory and radiant beauty of perfectly formatted, no, perfectly beautiful code, that is so efficient that anything you would want to do to it would do nothing but defame a masterpiece. He is the only one qualified to work on his code.

- The Anti-Programmer Programmer:

I’m a programmer, damnit. I don’t write code.

His world has one simple truth; writing code is bad. If you have to write something then you’re doing it wrong. Someone else has already done the work so just use their code. He will tell you how much faster this development practice is, even though he takes as long or longer than the other programmers. But when you get the project it will only be 20 lines of actual code and will be very easy to read. It may not be very fast, efficient, or forward-compatible, but it will be done with the least effort required.

-The Half-Assed Programmer:

What do you want? It works doesn’t it?

The guy who couldn’t care less about quality, that’s someone elses job. He accomplishes the tasks that he’s asked to do, quickly. You may not like his work, the other programmers hate it, but management and the clients love it. As much pain as he will cause you in the future, he is single-handedly keeping your deadlines so you can’t scoff at it (no matter how much you want to).

- The Theoretical Programmer:

Well, that’s a possibility, but in practice this might be a better alternative.

This guy is more interested the options than what should be done. He will spend 80% of his time staring blankly at his computer thinking up ways to accomplish a task, 15% of his time complaining about unreasonable deadlines, 4% of his time refining the options, and 1% of his time writing code. When you receive the final work it will always be accompanied by the phrase “if I had more time I could have done this the right way”.

In my view, I find myself in a mix of everything but the last three really you might see me identified. I love programming but not to make complex thing to without the limit that you should have to input to maintain originality and security. Also I find it redundant and useless trying to remake what is already done.

Uno de los términos de los que más se habla actualmente en materia de tecnología es “la nube”. Aunque para muchos puede resultar nuevo, no lo es. Este concepto de la computación moderna, nube, está tomando un auge que probablemente sea una variable en la economía basada en computadoras.
Computación por nube, o simplemente “la nube”, es una plataforma que te permite utilizar recursos, ya sea de una compañía o de tu mismo trabajo, por remoto, desde tu computadora a un servidor, casi siempre a través de la Internet. En otras palabras, puedes usar aplicaciones y/o hacer trabajos sin la necesidad de instalar programas y tus trabajos no tienen que ser grabados en tu computadora.
El concepto es muy parecido al de cliente-servidor, mediante el que un grupo de trabajo se reparte y comparte recursos de un mismo servidor con distintas computadoras, pero con una misma conexión física de por medio (generalmente dentro de un ambiente laboral). En cambio, con computación en “la nube”, puedes hacer básicamente lo mismo desde tu casa y el único cambio entre ambos es que utilizas los recursos desde el mismo servidor accediéndolo desde Internet o por WAN (Wide Area Network), en un concepto conocido por Software As A Service (SaaS).
Más viejo de lo que pensabas
La idea de “la nube” en computadoras tiene su origen en los años 60 proveniente de varios conceptos que al momento se estaban diseñando e implementando bajo la percepción de que la computación se integraría al público. Como mencionamos, el concepto no es nuevo, pero vino a tomar un gran auge al basar la tecnología de VPN (Virtual Private Network), en la que se sustituye la comunicación vía circuitos punto en punto, para lograr un mejor servicio a bajo costo. Ya para 1997, el término “computación en nube” era utilizado.

Las características y ventajas de la nube son:
• Mantenimiento y costo: como prácticamente no hay necesidad de equipos adicionales y el servicio de nube es orientado a la no necesidad de instalar aplicaciones, se pueden abaratar costos de equipos nuevos y mantenimiento, logrando estar al mínimo ya que económicamente hablando se ve más como inversión operacional (presupuesto para operar) y no capital (presupuesto para empezar).
• Compatibilidad: la ventaja de la nube es que al ser programación sin instalar en equipos del público, el mismo servidor te da las herramientas desde el mismo navegador de internet de cualquier electrónico, ya sea PC, “laptop”, “Smartphone”, “tablet”, etc.
• Uso: la nube puede ser utilizada de distintas maneras como:
    o Almacenaje (Dropbox)
    o Productividad (Office 365)
    o Mensajería (Gmail)
    o Comunicación (Skype)
    o Webhosting (alojamiento web)
Algunos ejemplos de nubes ya establecidas:
• Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2): Amazon introdujo su servicio en versión de prueba para 2006 y la misma termina para 2008. La función en general del EC2 de Amazon es proveer soluciones de “webhosting” y la producción y mantenimiento de “máquinas virtuales” que son necesarias al momento de crear aplicaciones y productos multi-plataformas. Sus clientes más conocidos son Foursquare, Cydia y Hootsuite.

• Google Music: actualmente es su fase beta y no reconocido totalmente como una nube a pesar de tener las mismas funciones, este es la nueva modalidad en cuanto a almacenaje de música que Google quiso adentrarse. El servicio, aparte de almacenar y permitirte en un futuro comprar música y naturalmente almacenarla, puedes reproducirlos desde cualquier computadora o equipos Android.
• iCloud de Apple: el más joven de la gama de infraestructuras de nubes y por lo que se ve una de las más populares a largo plazo. La evolución del sistema MobileMe de Apple, que busca el almacenaje y sincronización de música, correos electrónicos, calendarios y contactos entre equipos iOS y computadoras MAC o Windows.

La nube, el cielo en la computación
Recientemente hemos escuchado mucho sobre “la nube”. Aunque es un término que por lo general todavía no ha sido escuchado regularmente, ni por el público ni por la prensa, la nube es una de los productos de la computación moderna, que aunque no es nuevo, está tomando un auge que probablemente sea la nueva variable en la economía a base en computadoras.
Computación por nube o simplemente “la nube”, es una plataforma donde puedes utilizar recursos, ya sea de una compañía o de tu mismo trabajo remotamente desde tu computadora a un servidor, casi siempre a través de la internet. En otras palabras, puedes usar aplicaciones y/o hacer trabajos sin la necesidad de instalar programas y tus trabajos no tienen que ser grabados en tu computadora.

Algo que pense que no escribiria en este tiempo, pero como dice la enseñanza: NUNCA DIGAS NUNCA

Una de los más apoteósicos momentos que puede ocurrirte es lo que voy a mencionar…
Sucede que en la noche de ayer se me informó que tenía que reportarme en la agencia Force Temporary Services, así de la nada. BTW fue un momento difícil para mi amigo Carlos, solo con ver lo incómodo y lo tenso que se le veía, él se debía imaginar lo que venía si no he tenido amonestaciones considerables ni he sido un zángano en mi trabajo y también yo, aunque llegaron momentos en que me ponía a especular que sucedería. Pero escribo esto para confirmarles, que en efecto, mi contrato fue terminado.

Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. Blog can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.
Most blogs are interactive, allowing visitors to leave comments and even message each other via widgets on the blogs and it is this interactivity that distinguishes them from other static websites.
Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, Web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability of readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art (art blog), photographs (photoblog), videos (video blogging), music (MP3 blog), and audio (podcasting).Microblogging is another type of blogging, featuring very short posts.
As of 16 February 2011, there were over 156 million public blogs in existence.

As for many sounds unnatural or rare, blogging has been a part of humanity and not necessary it is used on computers.

Sailors had been know to state in a writing called “log” every mile they are away from home or where they reach a point in the ocean. Another example is when a phone company or any commerce is auditing conversation within phones used by their own employees as stated: “This call maybe monitored and/or recorded for quality and training purposes”. The part of blogging will reside in the written transcription (where people get patience and dexterity for that BTW?!) of the conversation from first to last word.

Press and Blogging
According to the seminal 2003 report We Media: How Audiences are Shaping the Future of News and Information, by blogging we can be a “citizen journalist”. A citizen journalist is practically a independent reporter which is not necessary be a part of mainstream press (like national TV News or local newspaper). Weblogs like BlackBerry PR and Esmandau (great example since I work for both of them ) are in fact a citizen journalism group which we work on our own accord, although we have occasional participation in ZonaTech from Primera Hora (mine still to come BTW).
Blogging has become a part of new-age tools for press. Actually it is really imperative to say that blogging techniques means you got what it takes to take journalism to a whole new professional environment.

Me as blogger
What working on BB-PR and Esmandau for over a year and two months respectively has taught me is that, beside what people believes, extra-curricular activities is a great plus in your résumé. Also, blogging never gets boring, specially if you manage and organize your ideas and always focus on your interests. Blogging community means more friends, yes we also have social life contrary to the popular believe that blogging is only for nerds, guess what, if I am one, then I am lucky to have my girlfriend.
Officially I opened this blog in November 2009, but quite frankly I had been a blogger since I discovered and had the opportunity to first access and browse the internet in late 2000. At the time I knew that if I want to control my own thing, language, thinking, opinion, etc, I had to get my own thing. But at the time I was very active in forums, columns and really was opened to have my own things. This is the thing I told Josue from BB-PR when he “hired” me after I wanted them to publish a review of a BlackBerry application. I guess he didn’t expect that an suspected inexperienced and out-of-nowhere guy could suddenly write an extensive review of a small application, or at least that’s my theory.
