I can't believe we are already approaching the middle of July, where does time go? I can't say I totally hate it, as fall is my favorite time of year and will be here before we know it. Currently I am prepping for my last few trips of the summer & am ordering some new swimsuits and cover-ups for the beach. As I have mentioned many times before I hate shopping....online shopping, going to the mall

Sadly my phone was lost on Friday so I have no pictures from the weekend. I have to say being out of touch for a few days wasn't so terrible but being without a camera was the difficult part. It was a fun weekend at the lake with friends and luckily after four days of non-stop rain, the sun decided to come out for us for some time on the lake on Saturday afternoon and on Sunday morning. Here are

I don’t really know how to begin to describe my experience in Haiti last week, but I will start by saying that I woke up this morning with a very full heart. I know you’ve heard it before “I’m thankful for food on the table and for a roof over my head.”…but this morning I was overflowing with those feelings of thankfulness & for all of God’s many, many blessings. I also felt a little

This morning I am off to Haiti on another Soles for Souls mission trip! Mission trips have been a part of my life since I was very young and I am thankful to have had the opportunity to travel the world & to experience so many places in such a meaningful way. My trip last year was to Costa Rica with Soles for Souls(post here). It was a wonderful group and an incredible experience....I expect that

A couple of weeks ago I put together the flowers for my friends Leslie and Mike's rehearsal dinner. I was so happy with how they turned out and I hope they were too! The dinner was a beautiful and fun night of celebrating Leslie & Mike: Working on the table numbers..   Table numbers and flowers at the reception The arrangements I made for the cocktail tables were in small bark

This past weekend was my 28th birthday party and I have to say it was my best party to date. We took a bus with 25 friends to Miller's Grocery in Christiana, TN for dinner then had the bus drop us off downtown at the end of the night. I can honestly say I do not know the last time I laughed so hard or had so much fun....I could not have asked for a better group to celebrate with!

A year ago today I lost my grandmother Mimi, who was without a doubt, equal to my mother, one of the most wonderful women I know. Not long after she passed away we found this recipe she had written just two days before she unexpectedly went in to the hospital. I don't normally share such personal things on my blog, but I thought this was something everyone should read and words we all should

I finished the book How Will You Measure Your Life this week and it's another must read. The Harvard Business School professor/author Clayton Christensen shares interesting insight on finding fulfillment both in your career and personal life. I was hesitant to read this book at first in fear that it was more of a self help book, but I found that it has interesting and relevant advice for all
