Our only son turned 6 years old today. How can that be? We love that little guy so much it. He is reading, writing and doing math. I told him that he absolutely can't turn 7, and he said mom I will always be your boy. Oh how he melts my heart!

Date with the big kids

We bought a membership to OMSI. I bought it on living social a few months ago for a screaming deal. My Mom had the great idea of watching McKinley while we took the big kids. We had so much with just the big kids and even went to an IMAX movie. It was called born to be wild and the kids loved it. Next Saturday we have another big kid date and are leaving McKinley with my mother in law this time. Again I bought a great coupon on a different site and it's going to expire if we don't use it. We are going to Evergreen wings & waves water park. Google it, it's going to be so much fun!!!

We got a real babysitter who fed, played with, and then put our kids to bed.
We went to our friend Loren's 40th birthday party. His wife Emily is my other bff. She rented the VIP room at a place called Game Time. We had 4 private bowling lanes, 2 servers, free drinks and a lot of fun. Our lane had a glitch which kept giving us strikes and spares even when it went into the gutter. It didn't happen every time but it sure did keep us on our toes. Tim's score was the only score that was closest to his actual score. He is an amazing bowler and a wonderful encourager. He scored a 276 on his 3rd game!!

Reagan's birthday celebrated at school

Since Reagan has a summer birthday we try to celebrate it as close to her half birthday as possible. Yesterday we had a little party at the end of class. It was very sweet, the teacher first prayed over Reagan and then everyone sang the happy birthday song with cute 2nd grade extras. Reagan wanted snicker-doodles & gummies for the snack. I tied on a ballon as an extra for the kids. I love her teacher and the class, such sweet kids.

The top picture is of the actual Cat Scanner that found my stone. I named it Rocky because it has a hook and a point. I'm feeling much better and now have lots of good drugs left over. Score for me :)

Ouch

I woke up early this morning in pain. I went to the bathroom and nothing. I went back to bed and over the corse of the next hour my pain tripled. Tim finally called my dad around 3:45am. My Dad is an early riser and was able to take me to the ER and Tim stayed home with the kids. I was taken straight back, but didn't get pain meds until 6:15am. Above is my CT of the nasty kidney stone. Its about 4mm, which is average. I also have 3 to 4 more in my right kidney and 1 in my left. Boo! I'm heavily medicated and am resting at home. The dr. did say that the stone is at the end of it trip and very close to the bladder. Yeah! But until then I'm higher than a kite and taking Flo*max, which is what 70 year old men take for prostate issues. Apparently it helps relax the muscles so the stone can travel more easily.

I'll be back soon with an update and hopefully a picture of my stone, the name has yet to be decided. Possible names include, Sharon, Oliver, Rosetta, Rolling, Joss and Phillips. Get it? Hahaha, its kidney stone humor.

Rearranging furniture

McKinley's bed use to be where Reagan's bed is now. Reagan's bed use to be where McKinley's bed is now. I don't know why I didn't do this last year. There is so much more play space and both girls just love it.

The only problem now is that Lincoln wants his room all rearranged. He wants something new. Oh goodness, I love that boy :)

A walk in the park.

Took the kids to the park after school on Thursday. It was McKinley's first time at the park to freely walk where ever she wanted to. She didn't even want to play at the playground, she just wanted to run. It was really cold, but fun to get out on a dry day in January. I just love this picture.

It snowed

It hardly ever snows here and if it does its only for a day or two. That's it for the whole winter season. So, when it does snow the kids will spend lots of time playing in it. This week we are suppose to get 2 to 3 inches, but the weatherman isn't always right.

Oh McKinley

McKinley fell asleep, then woke up and sat up and the fell back asleep sitting up. Oh how I love this little girl, who is no longer a baby.....but she will forever be our baby girl. The baby that we went after, saw fancy specialist for, lots of shots miscarried and did a clinical trial all to get to here. All the while we knew we were in the palm of God's hand. It was lonely at times and we wondered if this was God's plan. But every time we were given a solid answer from God to continue. I'm so incredibly glad we did.

Keeping it real

So.....a few weeks ago our deep freeze that is the on the creepy large size, like you can fit a couple dead bodies in there creepy. Yeah, so anyway it was free and is probably 30 years old. It stopped working. The breaker was tripped so I switched it back and threw away the spoiled food and we started over. Well apparently the breaker got tripped again. But we didn't find out right away and lost more food....sigh....

I voiced my disappointment on facebook and a friend who we had helped when their house burned down offered us the one they were trying to sell on craigslist for FREE! We were amazed, and are so grateful! Got the freezer, plugged it in and it started working right away...score!!
Well, the next day I go to put some food back in it and its not working....WHAT!!?? I'm beginning to think I'm on some candid camera show or in the twilight zone.

So, I go over to the breaker and its tripped again! Now we had just had our old dinosaur deep freeze hauled away not 2 hours earlier. I flip it back and not 10 seconds later the thing sparks and its tripped. There was NOTHING wrong with the old freezer, besides being not energy efficient and a space hog.

We are so grateful for generous friends and that we didn't have to buy a new or used freezer.
Tim just plugged it into a different wall outlet and its been working great ever since. Now we just need to call an electrician to come and fix the breaker. I might wait until I have a few more jobs, because they do charge by the hour and I might as well get our moneys worth.

Next time I won't use as much cayenne, a tad too spicy for my kids and I want to try a parmesan flavor too. Seriously people, go and make these!!

New Years Eve

Reagan spent NYE with her Great Grandma at the rehabilitation facility. They sang karaoke had ice cream, played bingo and pretended the ball dropped all before 3:30pm in the afternoon.

At home we watch movies, ate pizza, drank sparkling apple cider and was in bed by 10pm.

I'm sad to say but I don't have anymore Christmas picture's. I had my camera out the whole day and didn't pick it up once. I must do a better job this year. Welcome 2012, I hope to live each day as it comes and in the moment. Happy New Year!!!

This is one picture out of a very few that were actually taken on Christmas day. We are all still sick. Some of us have a nasty cold or sinus infection, some of us have fifths disease, and the lucky ones have both :/
Fifths disease in adult women is especially hard on your joints. It's like arthritis in all your important joints, wrists, knees, back and ankles.

Some highlights from Christmas included, the kids getting hamsters, I got an iPad2 and an antique milk box for our front porch. Reagan got lots of books and has been reading them like crazy. Lincoln got the game skylanders and now wants a skylanders birthday party. Tim got some nice clothes, gift cards and and even the Lego White House. It's now put together on our bookshelf.

They finally got to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what they want for Christmas. Reagan asked for an Easy Bake Oven and Lincoln asked for Skylanders Wii game. McKinley tried to pull off her siblings and save them from Santa but she wasn't strong enough. She sure does love her big sister & brother.

I thought it was a sweet gift to give out and super easy to make.

The colors for the party were aqua & red.

I really liked how it turned out.

I had a groupon for the cake, so no I didn't make it.

I did put her tutu skirt under the cake stand and think it looks really cute!

I totally thought of that last minute.


My very good friend Nicole did the melting snow man cookies.

It was a lot of fun decorating and the best part is that it can stay up all month!

She or I should say the kids opened her presents.

Last December 1st I made an announcement at dinner that our baby could be born at anytime now. Tim made a correction and said that I could go into labor anytime after 6pm on Friday Dec. 3rd. At 7pm on Friday Dec. 3rd I started to have contractions and since I have had 2 previous c-sections we headed to the hospital to assess the situation. Fully expecting to be sent back home. Little did we know we were going to meet our daughter just after midnight on the 4th. What a joy & delight she is! Tomorrow we celebrate!!!
