Importing your pet from West Malaysia to East Malaysia taking about a week to settle. There are alot of form and work to do before your pet is ready to be transported. So plan properly.

1. Health Check Certificate RM12 + Microchip Implant RM85 + Rabies Injection RM85 - health cert valid for 1 week - Total: RM152
2. Export / Import Permit from the state your pet bound to - 2,3 days process RM11.00
3. ROC form from Mas Cargo Agent - 2 days process
You must provide pet's own kennel with sufficient drinking water and snacks. Kennel padding would be nice. They will charge you by your pet's weight + kennel weight & size RM 4.27/kg + other fees
Flight is available everyday, at 2pm. Be there 3 hours before the flight taking off.

A few months back, i checked on which flight ould take pet boarding. It seems only Malaysia Airlines does. Basically, it would cost RM600+ to Kota Kinabalu. I don't know whether the Custom need to put him in kuarantine for a week or whether it would be totally unnecessary because it would be a local flight.

Last weekend i was taken by surprise when Mr Bob squealed as i rubbed his head. He's hurt but where?!
So i slowly run my fingers on his head by the time my fingers touches the back of his right ear, he squeal again. That's it...i found the the hurt place. I checked for any cuts, bleeding, or swell but nothing! So what's the problem?

Yesterday our house cleaner found few ticks on the floor! It's no surprise, actually. Last year, the place was infested with ticks. It took us 1 week boarding and clearing up. Luckily, this time we noticed about it earlier. Hopefully Bob will come back home soon! Sob! Sob! Miss him so much!

Last week i found out that Frontliner Plus have come out with an edible tablet. So much like the monthly deworm tablet. I hope it will be available in JB soon.

Homemade Milk Bone Biscuits

3/4 cup hot water
1/3 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup powdered milk suitable for your pet
1 whole egg, beaten
3 cups whole wheat flour

In large mixing bowl, slowly pour hot water over butter. Once melted, stir in the milk and egg. Add flour spoon by spoon. Knead until it form still dough. Roll to the 1/2 inches thickness. Cut into bone shape. Bake 165℃ for 40 to 50 minutes. Let it cool inside the oven before taking it out. It will dry out quite hard. Keep in airtight container. Make 1/2 kg.

Last night, Bobo took Cesar Chicken with Vegetable for dinner. He took it as usual. After cleaning up his meal, i went to attend to my baby daughter who was about to sleep. She was qlready sleepy during dinner and threw tantrum. I didn't finish my dinner, thank you very much.

At 10pm i went out from the room after make sure my baby fast asleep. The pungent smell from all over the place. I was so pissed off. Bobo peed at 3 spots my paper box, my washing machine and my kitchen table stand! Urgh!!!! Time for clean up!!!!

Lyme Disease is caused by a bacteria called Borrelia Burgdorferi transmitted to a pet or human from the bite of the ticks. In human, the disease can be treated with a few weeks of antibiotics. However in pets ie. dog, it is a little bit complicated. A serious infection actually need a pet to do blood transfusion and if fail to do this in time, the pet may die.

Lyme Disease can be prevented by occasional use of aeresol insect repellent, removing ticks promply, landscaping and pest management.

frankly speaking, i am traumatized by the recent incident in our house. our walls was like one of the horror movie where all the creepy crawler just sit there waiting to attack the housewhole! am i being overreacting over the incident? i don't think so...especially when i have a 4 months old baby to take care of!...
do you know what kind of disease these flea can bring to your pets and us, human? beware...so being so-called overreacting about the whole incident, right after Bobo was given the medication on his skin to kill the rest of the baby fleas and the eggs, i put a flea collar on him...hehehe...i'm using Beaphar Flea and Tick Collar - Length: 65 cm. 65cm of length is really adjustable for his own comfort and the rest of the unwanted length can be cut out and keep it for other use. i don't throw away the excess as i can use it later on him if the flea comes back.

it has been 5 days since we start 'bombing' the whole house using flea smoke. we use
Zodiac Household Flea Spray 400ml to treat the whole house! The easy to apply aerosol contains no CFC’s. It treats up to 35 meters square and unlike other aerosols, is designed to be used upside down to direct the mist to those hard to reach places; floors, furniture and bedding. The pyrethrins will kill emerging adult fleas while the Precor. Will provide 7 months protection from developing eggs and larvae.
recall the very day i found large fleas on bobo, it was hair raising! i just can't believe i've killed 26 fleas! that haven't put into account my boyfriend found on his bed...20 fleas!
that very morning, we sent him for a wash and flea treatment and have his fur cut shorter. that day, Rain ( the girl that own the pet shop ) told me that i have to apply a med two days later to kill any flea and its eggs left on him after the treatment. for a few days, Bobo was very upset and feel blue. he have no mood to play or eat...it was sad days...
today, he finally have a little bit of mood to play. and the have his appetite back. today he finish 3 times of meal!

pet tag is the cheapest and conventional way to have your pet get identified...and in case your pet is missing, you would hope he'll find his way back home or maybe, someone to bring him back to you. so keeping your personal contact is vital. DON'T FORGET TO KEEP IT UPDATED.

Before getting a puppy from a reliable breeder from any petshop, it is very important to know that whether the puppy that you like is already get his vaccination accordingly. When a puppy is about 6 to 8 weeks old, he will get the first vaccination course for 5 types of doses to protect him against Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvo and Parainfluenza. Again, when he is 12 to 14 weeks old, another jab of the same type of doses will be given. Then for the third times, when he is around 16 to 18 weeks old, another jab for him as well but for different types of protection.

Here in Malaysia and Singapore, the pet owner who purchase their puppy during their first year must make sure that their puppy is fully protected against these diseases by getting 3 jabs for the first year. The third jab or the last jab during their first year usually the vet will advise you with few options where you can choose whether to take up 6 in 1 doses up to 10 in 1 doses. For my toy poodle i gave him the 10 in 1 doses which only cost me RM85.00 only.

Of course the more you protect your precious bundle the more expensive it gets. But it certainly worth the money when you see how healthy and happy he would be afterwards. Remember not to give him a bath for about a week after each jab. Well, your vet should have told you that when you send your pet over.

After this primary course ( 3 jabs ), make sure that you bring him back to the vet every year for a booster. Beside this before your cute puppy is 6 months old, you should have a monthly schedule to feed him with a Heartgard doses. It only cost you Rm60 for 6 tablets which occupies for 6 months of stock. The earlier you give him the Heartgard tablet the better. This is to protect him from the worm to infect his heart. This is very important especially if your puppy always playing outside the house. He might get it from the mosquito bites.

naughty Bobo...he wake me up earlier than my alarm every morning. at first i thought he wanted to be fed and his bowl was empty.once i dragged myself out of bed and poured him his early breakfast around 6am.when i called him to get his meal he was nowhere around the kitchen. i guess he would come around soon to eat so i left the kitchen and dragged myself towards the soft and comfortable bed of mine with hope to get extra sleep in the weekend.

strange, where is this guy? ,i thought for myself. as i came near to my bedroom i shook of the thought before entering my sactuary. i pulled my comforter so to cover body up to my neck. my leg pushed the comforter towards the end of my feet.oh, so nice! so soft! so....hairy?! So Bobo! i uncovered my feet and saw him lying at the end of my bed staring at me blankly. he gave me the pity look.how dare?! he was trying to exploit my feeling so that i would allow him to stay on the bed!

he sat in front of me and and licked my toes and give me the last pitiful look and walk down the bed. before he get to went outside of my room i called him back to join me. he turned to run back to me and jumped happily to the bed. in no time, he snuck into my comforter and lie down.

that morning, we woke up again only to find out it was about brunch time...hungry!

The first day arrive at home, this is how he looked like. Untrimmed and quite timid. But all these change overnight as the next morning he was as cheerful as i thought he would. Still, i haven't found a proper name to name this little poodle...
