Hey… it’s been a while. Things are busy… you know so much vacation in the summer.

I’ve been working a a project the last number of weeks and have been neglecting the blog, but my daughter said something that I have to share.

My three daughters were collectively scared of anonymous bad guys so I was comforting them.

I said…

“Girls, there are no bad guys around. You do not have to worry.”

Then Eowyn said…

“Why? Do they like treasury gold things and not messy houses?”

“Mom, I hit Eowyn but then she kicked me even harder!”

Realistic Potty Training Chart

I fully understand how difficult potty training can be, I have been through it with 2 kids already and my third will start in a matter of weeks.

I grew tired of hardly ever getting to put stickers on the potty training charts my girls would have… for that reason I created a potty training chart that my kids are sure to excel at. I would like you to have it as well. You can click to enlarge the image and print it up for your own use!

The wonderful thing about this chart is that it is a potty training chart for boys and girls, it is printable, it provides a way to reward your children when they do well and it’s free!

Now when you are sharing with your friends your potty training stories you can say, “My kids potty training chart was packed full of stars!”

I Don’t Need to Wash My Feet

Our daughters were playing outside and Eowyn, our oldest, had dirty feet. I told her to wash her feet before she walked on the carpet.

Hayley (age 4) walked right onto the carpet and said.

“I don’t need to wash my feet because I have shoes on!”

The Daughter Legacy – There Was Never Just One! (Movie Poster)

Many of you know that I have three daughters. Now that I have three daughters I realize that there was never just one!

I feel extremely blessed, my girls are my life. I was quite sad when we found out our 3rd, Andi, was a girl. Now I wouldn’t have it any other way. She stinkin ROCKS!

I love being a dad and I love having daughters. So this poster is for the 3 best daughters in the world!

Queen Esterd Saves the Jupiters! (My Daughter’s Take on the Story of Queen Esther)

This is some fantastic audio of my daughter repeating what she learned at a VBS camp for kids at our church. They were learning about Queen Esther.

For those that do not know the story here is a quick version. At the time the Jewish people had been driven from their land and were exiled in Persia. Esther was a jewish girl that was chosen to be the next queen of the Persian king. The king had authorized a royal decree to annihilate the Jews. Esther put her life on the line by approaching the king, who didn’t know she was a jew, to ask if the king would spare her people. The king ultimately changed his mind and Esther saved her people.

So here is my daughters take on the story. (Listen to the audio… transcript is below.)

The Story of Queen Esther told by my 5 Year Old Daughter

“Esterd, um. Esterd… she, she, um, she was the queen and, um, and (A BAD GUY! [that was her sister Hayley]) and they they were gonna kill her, and then, then um, then she was… the king was thinking of a new queen, and that was Esterd. And Esterd. Um. He [the king] was going to kill all the Jupiters and she was one of the Jupiters. So, so, she went in through the door and he didn’t kill her and, all the, um, Jupiters were saved.”
