Problems with images

Some days ago WordPress 3.0 RC3 was released and today we got the Milestone release. I’ve been running the earlier Release Candidates on this page and they’ve worked great. but from RC3 there’s a odd problem with the images in the collection. I haven’t yet been able to find what the change is that causes the problem, but i will work on a fix ASAP.

So if you depend on MRC, don’t update to 3.0 yet.

Edit: Looks like this was a permissions issue caused by the auto updater.

Fixed a bug that sometimes occurs when displaying the record info. The new version is 0.9.2. Next update will probably be a while but i’m thinking of doing a completely new administration area with lots of more options for sorting and displaying the collection.

Version 0.9.1 is out

Changes:

Changed upload-directory to wp-content/uploads-directory instead of in the plugin folder. This will prevent the plugin from deleting images and XML-files on update.
Added uninstall functionality.

Now your collection will be kept when you update the plugin.

New version released yesterday.

changes:

Minor bugfixes
Added a Swedish translation, and a .POT-file if you want to translate MRC to your language.
Updated the FAQ and added screenshots.

Trying to update it for the first time with the built in wordpress plugin updater i realised that storing the image in the plugin directory is a bad idea to store the images and XML-files in the directory. in the next update i will move them to the uploads directory. You can expect a new update soon.

Problem with demo/display

Today it seems like Discogs started to compress all API-answers, so the display frame on the demo page was not working earlier. I’ve replaced the WP_HTTP way of getting the remote file to cURL. I’m trying to get it to work with the more cross-server WP_HTTP-class and will update the plugin later today. The update will also include some other good stuff.

UPDATE: Seems like it was a temporary problem with Discogs. it works again now. Let me know if there are problems again.

Months of work, but my first WordPress plugin is finally here.

Since this is my first try at this there might be bugs, please report them to me and i will fix them ASAP.
