Tim Tebow and crew have done what many (mainly the media) are call nothing short of miraculous.... He is known for last minute and unbelievable come backs. But, this recent overtime victory against the Steelers has people talking even more. Check out these statistics...

Tebow had 316 yards passing
His throws (I guess not counting after the catch) averaged 31.6 yards per pass

America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within.

Josef Stalin

I thought this was an interesting quote. Stalin was a great communist leader. He recognized religion, or spiritual life as one of three pillars that are a vital part of American health

Marriage Equality is a noble cause. Who wouldn't be for equality? Anyone
who opposes it must be a hater. But, much like the Pro-choice
(Anti-life) v Pro-life (Anti-choice) debate, it is just a name that
embellishes a different view.

Think about it.

Is denying same-sex marriage gender discrimination? Is denying minors the right marry age discrimination? Why don't
 we fight for Marriage

I don't use Twitter much, but I do on occasion. On one such occasion, I saw that I had a bunch - a few hundred - of twitter users I was following that, at one time was following me, but stopped. This bothered me in that, this bunch of users had followed me in effort to increase their numbers. They didn't care one bit about me or what I had to say. I was just a statistic, a number to them.

Many groups tout that America is a secular nation. They claim that Separation of Church and State is a fundamental part of the First Amendment. They don't want Congress to make any law respecting the establishment of any religion. They would rather have any mention of any deity forbidden within the walls of our government. Their claim is that government can only be neutral if it is secular.

If you want to stir up a debate, just try to pin down a definition of Atheism. I often times mused over it's meaning within this very blog. A Christian typically sees it as varying in degrees from believer to disbeliever with Agnostics somewhere in the middle. It is thought of as "Yes, No or Maybe" there is a god. This is how I used to think about it. This "maybe"  is the heart of this

NARAL, Pro-Choice America. What an interesting organization. They spout out "reasons" that abortion should be legal. Their whole premises centers around a woman being able to make a choice on their own. And they churn out emails and petition politicians and ask for your money because you may feel  that their cause is worth the fight.

I receive emails from the NARAL. Not because I support

Have you heard the news? Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver are breaking up. It's Hollywood... no... politics.. whatever, it happens. Is it really big news?

But something strikes me as being a bit odd...

Wait. Isn't this the former Governor of California who backed down in defending Proposition 8? Does he know what makes a good marriage? It is odd because he can't even keep his own

I often times find that there are common thoughts that people would have against Christianity, God or the Bible. I thought I would address some of them here:

A
belief in God is enough to get into heaven. If you believe, the rest
will naturally follow. If you truly believed you had the winning lottery
numbers, wouldn't it be natural to play them? But, if you had any doubt, you may decide

Quite a large number of people claim to be Christian. Christians are a minority.

Minority? But don't Christians make up the majority?

Claims are one thing. But let's break down the numbers and see what they say.

Many reports claim that Atheists make up roughly 14-17% of the population. (See Friendly Atheist) This leaves 83-86% that are religious and, in America, it can be easy to believe

Maybe you have noticed my absence in writing. I haven't forgotten about this blog, I have been super busy. First, I was given the task of learning a new software... Final Cut Pro. This alone was a huge task as I had no experience with the program.

Another thing that has slowed me down is my laptop. It has crashed and I need to pursue the warranty to get it fixed. My Compaq is dead. It won't

The Ten Commandments were first handed down by Moses in Exodus 20. Most people regard these commandments as instructions to keep us from sinning. It is often thought that if you break them, you sin and need repentance. But, does being a "Christian" mean following a list of rules? Is it just "Thou shall..." and "Thou shalt not..." or is there something else?

Being a Christian is not about how

In Florida, adoption between same-sex couples is a heated topic. Those for it blame the "religious right" as their main opposition. But, in the United Kingdom, there is an interesting, yet disturbing court case that usually just happened.

Eunice adn Owen Johns tried to adopt. The courts denied them. Their decision wasn't purely based upon their sexuality, but rather their religious beliefs

I have had this song on my mind for a few days.

I thought I would share it with everyone.

One argument in favor of keeping abortions legal is the fear of having them performed illegally and unsafely. It is the infamous coat hanger images of botched abortions in dark alleys of yesterday that we want to stay away from. A coat hanger "should never be a surgical device" is the cry among some of the supporters. "Never going back" is another.

I am a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. I have learned that you can never count them out of the game until it is finished. From the way the team conducts it's business, you couldn't ask for a team more focused on the game.

But, it's Ground Hog's day. Most people waited to see if Punxsutawney Phil would see his shadow and make a prediction. Here is the official statement:

Why was it that King David sent Bathsheba's husband on the front line to die was a sin? Yet, he would send armies out, many would die and this was not as sin? And that is not to mention all of the people from other places that died in the wars he started. Why isn't that also a sin?

Finally, I found an article about same-sex marriage worth mentioning. And, the thing about it that suprises me is that the author is gay.

From a legal standpoint, the meaning is quite clear: Civil marriage confers a number of concrete privileges -- tax breaks, adoption rights, hospital visitation -- that are desirable and, in the interest of equality, shouldn't be withheld from gay couples.

What would you do for a million dollars? Most people would do just about anything. Some would even kill. It always amazes me how someone can rationalize things in their minds. They can even rationalize the most unbelievable of things in exchange for other gains.

Just days before the anniversary of the Roe v Wade decision, it makes national news... it being abortion. In Philadelphia,
