There are many challenges you will face when buying either a new or used car. It depends on the model that you want, how much is the budget, the size of your family and the options that go with it.

If you have an idea on the right car, then a little research on the value of the car in the market to date will be able to help the you when approaching a dealer.

This can be done by checking the internet or looking through the local newspaper before going to the various dealers in the area to make comparisons.

If the ideal car is not available on the lot, the if you tell the dealer about it these people can help by looking for that particular model or offer a similar car similar to your choice.

Since dealers often want to get rid of the cars quickly, it is also possible to get a good deal on what is available as long as it meets your requirements.

Most cars have a maintenance record. The buyer must ask the dealer to see it and if it is not available, then you should contact the dealership or repair shop where most of the work was done.

The buyer has the right to see a copy of the dealer’s warranty. To be safe, you can also ask if a service contract is provided in buying the used car. This contract that is offered by the dealer may or may not provide coverage that is in the manufacturer’s warranty which may cost extra.

Since the warranty usually comes when buying a car and the service contract does not, it is best to ask if you need to avail of by answering some questions;

• What are the differences between the coverage of the warranty and the service contract?

• What repairs are covered?

• Is routine maintenance covered?

• Who will pay for labor and parts if brought to the shop?

• Who is authorized to perform the repairs and where?

• How long does the service contract last?

• What are the cancellation and refund policies?
Just looking at the car will not give information if the car is in good condition. It should be test driven under various road conditions such as the highway or in traffic.

Since most people are not that knowledgeable about cars, it is advisable to bring the car to a reliable mechanic for proper inspection.

If cars could talk, what would they say? Would they feel cared for or neglected by their owners, and would they eventually trade in their owners as a way to get maintained? If your car has been taken for granted, the start of the New Year is an ideal time to make things right and commit to regular maintenance. By doing so, vehicles will respond with improved performance, safety and reliability, and owners likely save on costly repair bills that often are the result of neglect, according to the Car Care Council.

The council recommends the following service interval schedule to use when making regular vehicle maintenance part of your New Year’s resolution:

   * Perform monthly checks of tire pressure and the condition of tires,
lights and windshield washer fluid. The vehicle should also be cleaned
     monthly.

   * Every three months or 3,000 miles, change the engine oil and filter,
check the levels of other fluids including automatic transmission, power
steering and brake, and check battery and cables, belts and hoses. The
exhaust and fuel filter should also be checked at this interval.

   * Every six months or 6,000 miles, the chassis lubrication should be
checked and windshield wipers should be replaced.

   * Every 12 months or 12,000 miles, the brakes, spark plugs, coolant and
steering and suspension should be checked.

If the “Check Engine” light comes on, vehicles should be immediately taken in for service to identify the problem.

The Car Care Council Web site, http://www.carcare.org, has a Service Interval Schedule for vehicle owners to follow. Drivers should also consult their owner’s manual for specific recommendations by the carmaker. Â Â Â

“Many New Year’s resolutions are hard to keep and go by the wayside pretty quickly,” said Rich White, executive director, Car Care Council. “This one should be different because it’s relatively simple to implement and the results are demonstrated in a better performing vehicle and fewer unexpected repairs and breakdowns.”

———–

Who would have thought, that water would be essential in running your car? With the new hydrogen conversion technology, water is used to supplement gasoline for vehicles. Hydroxy or HHO (also called Brown’s Gas) is extracted from water and used to supplement energy and fuel to your car’s engine. Read more about it on the “Run Car With Water” Blog.

Buying a secondhand car is not a bad idea. In fact, used car classifieds on the net have recorded highest earnings ever of used cars which clearly suggests Americans acceptance to purchasing used cars.

According to a study conducted in 2003 by J.D. Power and Associates, there is an increase in the number of hours people logged on to the net browsing for used-vehicles and shopping online.

This suggests that people show an increase in confidence in buying used cars online and recommends the process to others. But before you get into the hype of used car buying online, there are some things that you need to consider to avoid problems and unfair transactions.

Vehicle History Report

Perhaps the first thing that you will need doing is to request a vehicle history report. Most auto dealership sites provide such information for no additional charges while other independent commercial authorized car sales agencies provide exclusive car history roster detailing information regarding the car’s condition before and after the reconditioning process.

The United States has more than 150,000 car dealer listings which can provide you information regarding the latest secondhand vehicle price listings and specifications.

First, you will need to determine which type of vehicle you like and how much you can spend on it. Second, look for a vehicle dealership across the net and find reliable reviews.

Lastly, deal with authorized used car sellers who will direct you to the selection of used-cars according to how much you are willing to spend and what model you would like to purchase.

Used Quality Vehicles

Even after you have been using the car for just a month or two and plan on selling it for the purpose of purchasing a new model, it will lose half of the actual value upon resale. This gives consumers a competitive advantage in ensuring a good car product upon acquisition without having to spend way too much money.

Reading reviews, evaluating car specifications, and dealing with the most reliable classified sites in the market give you a chance to negotiate with the prices and are road maps to getting more of what you deserve in procuring the best used vehicle available.

With more than 1 million used cars marketed each year, surely you will get one that is best for your budget and needs.

The classic look of the Ferrari is its blazing race red color (Rosso Corsa) alongside the prominent black steed on canary yellow background topped by the Italian flag. Colors have been the essence of luxury when it comes to luxury cars. But what is the Ferrari, and how did its popularity come to be?

The Ferrari in fact began Italian Enzo Ferrari’s establishment of the Scuderia Ferrari in 1929. He didn’t exactly build the company for the purpose of selling luxury sports cars built for the road, but to simply provide sponsorship for the Modena-based amateur car racers and enthusiasts. Its founder, for a time, successfully raced drivers in Alfa Romeos until he learned of Alfa Romeo’s intent to purchase Scuderia.

This forced Enzo to inevitably carry on with Scuderia Ferrari on his own. What made this great man begin the huge Ferrari sports car empire? It was a result of the need to finance the Scuderia that he actually reluctantly sold the very first Ferrari, dubbed the 125 S, in the year 1947.

However, the force that was Ferrari did not come to be as a result of just an image of luxury and prestige, since Enzo did not desire to even begin sales of his racecars. What gave the Ferrari its niche market was its beautiful design and breakneck driving speeds.

Knowing this particularly interesting history; speed up to the present and we have the sports car giant Ferrari still holding true to its reputation of beauty and speed.

The fastest Ferrari sports car to date is the 2002 Ferrari ENZO, designed by the Pininfarina design house. The new-found speed of the Ferrari ENZO comes from the fact that every bit of the design aspect of this model serves a particular speed or aerodynamic function.

The Ferrari ENZO is a testament to its Formula 1 participation, creating a statement both on the race track and on the exotic and fast sports car lists. For one, its sleek and pointed front were designed to facilitate the airflow, helping cool the brakes and the engine during the heat of a race. The entire body’s shape is to create effective aerodynamics and reduce drag.

Beginning with the Ferrari ENZO is the option for buyers to personalize the Ferrari’s cockpit in order to best suit their taste and needs.

Enzo Ferrari built an empire on the statement of beauty and speed. With its continued patronage for these two values through the years, expect Ferrari to continue being a force to be reckoned with.

Hundreds of companies are now offering webhosting services. Just try to search for the keyword web hosting and you’ll will know what I am talking about. Most people owning a business or even for someone who wants a place of their own on the web are putting up websites to highlight their services and personal profiles. The growing number of websites is without a doubt unavoidable especially on the impact the internet has brought to people’s lives, but finding a great webhost now got easier with WebHostingChoice!

Before you have your site the first thing in mind is find a good name for it and then find a webhost. Coming up with a good name for your website is easy but finding a good webhosting company can be a tedious task. There are many web hosting companies to choose from. People would most likely go for a huge company that has been in the business for a long time but do not go with this misconception. There are newly emerging companies that offer cheaper and much better services than those pioneers.Â

The best way to find a good webhosting is to go to directories like webhositngchoice.com. Here you will not only find an extensive list of webhosts, you can also get useful tips on getting the right one. All in all webhostingchoice.com is a must visit site if you are planning to find the best deals on webhosting.

Looking at different kinds of cars, one can’t help but notice that each car has a special trait, a characteristic that makes it what it is. And we cannot help but categorize a car by its looks and features. On sports cars for girls, one usually arrives at an image of a convertible roadster that is small and compact. To give you a better idea, here are some cars that can be classified as a ‘chick car’.

Volkswagen Beetle

The Volkswagen Beetle is a compact family car that is made in Germany. It is one of the most easily recognized cars in the whole world. Due to its popularity, it has even moved up to a cult status with many loyal followers. It is known as the beetle, bug, or kafer (German) because of its distinctive shape.

Mini Cooper

This car is an affordable, stylish, fun, and compact piece of machinery. It was first designed in 1959 as a car that combines a big interior space with a small car body. It is very appealing to the eye and popular to a wide range of people due to its affordability. With regards to safety issues, the mini cooper employs an anti-lock braking system for more stability and control especially during turns and cornering. The interior of this car is stylish and compact. One drawback is its small storage capacity but that is expected from this type of car. It is not a ‘hot rod’ but it is a fun to drive around the city.

BMW Z4 Roadster

The Z4 is the follow-up to the Z3 series which was first introduced in 1996. It is very popular to both young and old car aficionados because of its aggressive design. It is a bit bigger then the Z3 and its body is much stiffer even when measures were taken to reduce its overall body weight without compromising rigidity. It has a stiff chassis, a variety of transmission options, and large disk brakes that enable this car to provide great comfort and pleasure while driving.

These are some of the best sports cars that can be considered as ‘girl’ cars. If you are still thinking of what kind of car you want to get, consider the following: The prices of convertibles start around $20,000 and go up to the hundred thousand range. Engines used usually are four or six cylinder types while the pricier ones employ V6 or V8 engines. Maintenance costs for convertibles are roughly the same as those of sedans and technology has made soft tops stronger and more durable to withstand years of abuse.

You didn’t winterize your car and it really could have used some attention, especially with below freezing temperatures striking many parts of the country. Now what? The good news is that you’re not alone and it’s not too late. The Car Care Council reports that 70 percent of motorists don’t winterize their vehicles in preparation for winter. There’s still time though to have the battery, antifreeze, wipers and wiper fluid checked to help avoid “no starts” and breakdowns and ensure safety and visibility during harsh winter driving conditions.

Very cold temperatures will reduce a vehicle’s battery power so it’s important to keep the connections clean, tight and corrosion-free. Unfortunately, batteries don’t always give warning signs before they fail completely. If your vehicle’s battery is three years old or more, it’s wise to replace it. When choosing a replacement, make sure the new one has adequate capacity for your exact make and model.

For antifreeze, the owner’s manual will have usage specifications but the mixture of antifreeze (coolant) and water inside your vehicle’s radiator is typically 50:50. When properly mixed, antifreeze and water provide excellent anti-freeze, anti-boil and anticorrosive properties. As a reminder, don’t make the mistake of adding 100 percent antifreeze as full-strength antifreeze actually has a lower freeze point than when mixed with water.

Cold weather can affect the life of windshield wipers. Freezing temperatures can make the rubber hard and brittle and increase the potential for cracks. Wiper blades that are cracked or torn, or that chatter, streak and don’t properly clean your windshield should be changed. Some manufacturers offer special winter blades that have a rubber boot covering the arm assembly to keep snow and ice out. When changing the blades, have the windshield wiper system nozzles cleaned and adjusted if necessary, and check the windshield washer reservoir in case it needs fluid.

The council recommends changing to low-viscosity oil in winter, as it will flow more easily between moving parts when cold. Drivers in sub-zero driving temperatures should drop their oil weight from 10-W30 to 5-W30 as thickened oil can make it hard to start the car. It’s also good to allow your car a little more time to warm up when temperatures are below freezing to let the oil in the engine and transmission circulate and get warm.

Tire pressure should also be checked as tires will lose pressure when temperatures drop. Lastly, don’t forget your winter emergency kit that should include an ice scraper, flashlight, blankets, extra clothes, candle/matches, bottled water, snacks, gloves, flares, a first aid kit and needed medication.

“Below freezing temperatures can stress out a vehicle, as well as its driver,” said Rich White, executive director, Car Care Council. “Motorists who invest an hour or so to have their vehicles checked will have peace-of-mind and one less thing to worry about as the harsh winter conditions continue throughout much of the country.”Â
