Money, it's where you sit, part 2, action step

With each post on this series, I will include a part 2 that has some or several steps to take or an action for you to do before moving on. Of course you may read the posts after it's over or in the middle but hopefully you read them in order.

You can agree or not that money is based in part, a large part on belief and this will very likely determine if you can improve your financial situation or not.

What I suggest is unless you are happy in your life, achieving your goals, comfortable financially and have no need to improve any area than don't bother with this. I love the quote "If it aint broke, don't fix it". On the other hand if you are reading this now, chances are there is at least one area you wish was different and probably at least one area, if you have a few and are like most people, money is one of those.

Before I continue it's important to understand that life never becomes a downhill ride all the time. Being happy, fulfilled and financially comfortable is where everyone should be however if we were never challenged that would get boring.

I'll try to not get too woohoo here but there is a force in the universe that is always working for us and through us but most of the time we ignore it. This force is connected to us through our emotions, including our desires and dreams. When we feel frustration, sadness (about life not an event) joy, fear, this is the force speaking to us. When things go wrong, when we have obstacles and setbacks it is this force guiding us, tapping on our shoulder saying; Hey, change how you are doing this or that or No, don't go down this road, it won't take you where you want to go.

One of the biggest things I have learned is that a problem is not a bad thing. By believing it's the force helping me I can look at a problem or "failure" or any perceived negative as a message trying to help me. It may be a pattern of behavior or belief I have. It could be a habit I need to be aware of I need to break. It could be staying at a job or in a relationship that isn't right for me. It may be hard to trust this but if you understand this force is what creates universes, you will begin to trust it knows better.

We all have our own individual "force" that is our guide, mentor, assistant and even magical genie, if we believe in it and listen and than act.

The action step to be taken now is to imagine you have a magical invisible genie available for you. Take one area where you are not attached to and think of something you wish would happen.

It can be anything from a song coming on the radio to a parking spot or hearing from someone who out of the blue shows up with an answer or idea you need.

Don't worry too much about if you think it's possible, don't limit yourself because you see things from a perspective that is more narrow.

Ask your magical genie to take care of this for you. As for a sign that you were heard and it's coming. I say magical but in reality it's not magic and there aren't any special words needed. Have fun with this and even if you are unsure or don't believe it, that's okay. Test it out, even if it's to prove it doesn't work.

Now there is a difference in testing something to prove it works or not to a complete belief it won't work. One you maybe have a base belief but there is something in you open enough to test it out versus knowing it just won't work.

Do this for something little, something not so important and in a really light hearted way. Write it down if you like, ask as if you were giving a request to a waiter for your dinner order.

Next go through the list you made earlier about your current financial and life state. Pick one aspect and before you go to sleep and anytime through out the day you think of it just imagine it being totally different. It's a fantasy I know and you aren't trying to create anything by doing this but just enjoy for the time you are imagining the fantasy.

To summarize:

1. Imagine you have a genie available for you and you have instructions to help you use this magic. It says welcome to your magic genie, I am happy to be able to help you with all kinds of things. Since this is the beginning of my service to you in this way I may need sometime to get conditioned and build my muscle. Ask me to show you something easy or bring something to you easy so I can loosen things up a bit.
I have the ability to do anything you ask and eventually will be able to but I can only do for you what you want deep inside and what you believe. I hear your words but I listen to your emotion so keep this in mind.
The more you use me and see results the stronger I become. Since I am technically a baby, starting small this way helps me develop into a mighty strong genie. I am good at finding answers for something you aren't sure about and particularly good at making something or someone show up you wanted but didn't think would.
Remember that my magic is hard to understand so keep your eyes open because I may send you what you want from a place you didn't think would come. It's my way of building your ability up, making you a mighty receiver.

2. Take one aspect of your life you wish was different and play with that and create a fantasy around it. Since this blog centered around money, pick money if that is your biggest area you wish to change.
Be creative and as wild as you can be. Maybe you are dragged to a yard sale and end up buying a picture that you didn't love but liked it enough, settling for something less since you can't afford a expensive piece. Now, imagine you see a show on t.v., flipping through channels and you stop on that channel because you were distracted by something else. You look at the screen and see a picture that reminds you of what you just bought. You look and listen now and realize it is a show about Art and someone just sold this piece on the tv for 10 million dollars. You get the idea, what if your art was somehow worth something and you investigate it and eventually you find it's worth 50 million. What will you do with that money? Specifically think about it. What fun you will have, what things you will buy and who may you help? After all of that with money left over, lots of it, what will you do? What would your life be like? Day to day what do you do?

I picked the art because it popped in my mind but whatever is fun for you to imagine do that.
You can be totally wild and crazy and fantasy like.. maybe you found a magic bag of seeds that can grow gold, money, silver, whatever you want it to be. The point is just have fun with it, it's not real it's just fantasy.

Yes, okay so it's been a while since I wrote but during this time I have put into place a lot of methods and ways of making money. I have analyzed and charted what worked, what didn't. I have analyzed what those that make money do versus what those that struggle do.

I looked at where I was working, in sales, selling cruises and wondered why the top people stayed there and the middle and lower group stayed where they were. There were some that moved a little up or down but virtually everyone stayed the same.

The interesting thing was during slow periods, or even slow years, everyone seems to adjust equally so the lower sales, just sort of spread across the board.

It reminded me of taking a class or seminar and when everyone arrives, they pick a seat and stay there, regardless of the fact seats were unassigned. Each day the students or attendees would come in and go to the seat they first took or at least the same area.

Have you ever had a situation where everyone seemed to have some inner level of comfort sitting in a specific area and a few days later someone mixes it up? I have and I want to say, hey, you don't belong here. It throws me off, I loose my comfort and focus.

It's similar with most aspects of life and we don't realize it. We become comfortable with what we are used to, even if it's not what we want.

Spend some time thinking about your life and what areas you wish were different. It can be anything from a new job or wishing your job was a little more flexible, just pick one or two things you wish were different.

Chances are whatever you picked if you are honest with yourself you would see that you accept things as they are. You may not like it or may wish was different but ask yourself what have you done to change things?

Most people I ask this question reply in frustration asking what can they do? They can't change things, they aren't the boss or they can't find another job, the job market is tough, they are too old, too young, no degree, degree they have doesn't have jobs.

All of these reasons may be true but just like the seating, find our zone and stay there, we stay with situations that we aren't happy with and by staying in our comfort level, can't see any other options.

Money is the same way. We find our comfort zone, our view of money and we stay there. It doesn't matter what we do things stay about the same. This is why some people can and will always make and have money and others won't. Even if the ones that have money lose it, they regain it some other way.

On the other hand look at lottery winners and how often someone wins who has no money to start and they end up losing everything. Some may say it's bad luck or judgement but that wouldn't account for the consistency of the pattern.

Of course there are exceptions but in general it seems some have the money gene and some don't.

Based on this idea, how to make money on line is never going to help anyone make money, not significant money, unless they first change their belief.

Can you make money on line? Yes, you can if you have the belief, the passion and most important, the interest in something other than money.

I will start this series with a challenge to anyone reading this and upcoming posts. I challenge you to take stock, evaluate where you are right now, financially. Be as specific as possible and write down what is going on right now. Are you hiding from bill collectors, are you afraid you will lose your home, are you afraid because you lost your home?

Is it that you are unhappy at your job and make enough money to get by but never any extra to do what you want, really want? Does everything you make go to staying above water only with nothing extra? What would you do with more money? How much more would you need or want? How will life change if you had it?

Once you know where you are you are able to move to the next level. By identifying your situation clearly and knowing where you want to be will set a path to get there.

Is it too late to make money, have I missed my chance?

There will always be an opportunity to make money on line, as long as you provide something that someone needs or wants.

The key is matching a passion you have to a need or want someone else has.

It's easy to build a website, so many are free and have templates for design. You can create facebook pages, twitter pages, blogs and a host of other venues to share your passion.

So what is the first thing you can and should do?

Find your passion. Imagine you had all the money you ever would need. In fact, imagine you have a garden full of money trees and bushes. You have a $5.00 bush, $100.00 tree, $1000.00 tree, $10.00 bushes, etc. When ever you had a need, you just went out and picked what you needed.

Now, knowing money wouldn't be the inspiration, think about what it is you would do. Would you cook, would you learn a new skill, would you paint, what would you do?

This is your passion.

I like to teach, I love the idea of sharing my ideas and information. When I do this, it is as if I am reliving, relearning, expanding my knowledge.

So I will go through some of my ideas and how to expand them so that you are living your passion, sharing your knowledge and providing a service to others and you are making money.

Okay, so it's been a while. Getting distracted with my "regular" job, selling cruises and just life, I stopped writing. The good news is, when I went back to check my accounts, I had money. It isn't even the amount that is important, it is the fact after more than 1 year of not doing anything, the money is still adding up.

Ehow changed everything around and I suppose I missed getting on board so they are done. Helium is still going on but they changed the way they pay out. They no longer pay based on writing/rating stars, but now have assignments. Some are only $1.00 but some are more and of course the ad revenue is still adding up.

They still have their contests and this week I won first place, $15.00, so in less than 1 month, not much time I've made nearly $90.00. This does include just over $50.00 of left over revenue.

I will continue more here in detail...got to go write some articles, trying to win another contest.

starting to make money online

How many people hear about making money at home writing on the web, either for sites or writing a blog? You hear about people making 6 figures writing online but wonder how. How many times have you tried to navigate through the different ways and sites only to get lost and confused and give up? You hear about people making money from home writing on line but you can’t figure out how, right?

Well, follow my road to online writing and use what I learn to help you make the money you want working from home. My goal is to make 4k per month with my online writing, in addition to what I make from my full time job, selling cruises, also working from home.

It may take a little while and will require some dedication but in the end I’m sure the results will be worth the time and effort.

So, where have I started? So far, there are two sites that I have begun writing for that are starting to make money. Yes, the money isn’t enough to live off of, but it’s money coming in and that is a start.

1. www.ehow.com
This is easy to get started on. Go to their home page, set up an account with them and a pay pal account to earn money. There is a link from their page to set up both accounts.

The articles here are in a “how to” step-by-step format. You can pick anything you want to write about although some topics will create more income then others.

The way you earn on this site is by views to your articles. Advertisers pay money and the money is shared with you. The amounts vary and while they don’t add up to a lot, if you really slam it with articles the money will start to come in. The good news is that articles you write earn long after you have written them.

Check out my profile page for ideas on articles to write. So far, in a little over 6 weeks I’ve made about $24.00. I know, not much but I haven’t written there in a while so the good news is I am making money off work I did before.

Right now the site is having problems with their publishing. I will post here once they seem to be worked out.

2. www.helium.com
This is another writing site, however, the difference here is they will give you titles that you write in. There are hundreds of titles though so finding something to write shouldn’t be too hard.

They also pay on the revenue from their advertisers like ehow but they also have upfront payments as well. You need to have the pay pal account to get paid but there are more opportunities to make money here.

Once you have a certain number of articles, you earn stars. The stars are based on the number of articles and your ratings, how other people rate your article compared to another in that title. The more stars you have the more money you can make. They will pay for articles written in to topics that have less then 5 written and again, it’s based on the number of stars. So, for one star you earn 0.50 per article up to five stars, $2.50 per article. Five is the highest number of stars. In addition, for every title that you are the first article you earn a bonus of $1.00 so you have the potential to earn $3.50 per article plus revenue from ads. So far, in about 6 weeks I’ve earned about $75.00.

They also have contests where you can earn money and once you have a least one star you can write for their “market place”. This is where publishers send in their assignments and you submit an article for payment. The amounts vary and I’ve seen payments as high as $120.00 per article to as low as $17.00. So far, I submitted two articles and one is still pending. I’ll update here if I get something.
