Their parents forgot!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I gave them my extras but as we approach the really hot parts of summer, water bottles for the whole family should be the last thing you pull out of the refrigerator when you&#39;re going to an outdoor activity.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As an adult, are you drinking 32 oz of water/day?  You need hydration too. A person runs the risk of heat stroke if they don&#39;t hydrate before, during and after activities.  And yes, Gatorade will hydrate well (and it tastes better too. Give them frequent water breaks.  It also gives them a chance to catch their breath: do you know child that will stop for a second because he/she is tired?  They just want to go go go.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But occasionally a member of the team would show up without a bottle of water.
