Did you know that the new ZOE paper pack is being featured in Studio J?

To tell you the truth I forgot about them being in Studio J too until I was working in the program today. I love the layouts that I was able to complete.

This first layout is a field trip that the Advanced Animation kids took in May.

The building is bright red the kids are a multitude of color so I made all but one photo black and white. It make photos that would have been too harsh for this paper soft enough to use.

This second layout is Kaela getting ready for Prom.

Other than her ever present green hoodie the colors were soft so I left them alone.

I am featuring the Zoe paper pack in my workshops this month so I will be posting the layouts from those classes as they happen.

While out and about today I found a nice little sunny spot with fantastic music playing and decided that today was the day to finish the 2nd semester of Kaela's 12 grade album. Well almost finished...

I forgot to upload her graduation and graduation party photos to Studio J before I left so I will need to do those pages but I am ohhh sooo close.

At the beginning of the summer I said that I would be able to get this finished before June. Well life and travel bumped any scrapbooking, including Digi scrapping for me. Once I get the last couple of pages done all I will have to do is go back in and place the memorabilia that goes with each page. That normally does not take long.

Talk about feeling accomplished!

Remember that with Studio J your photos get printed directly on the pages so not only are you saving money on scrapbooking supplies but you are also saving money on photo finishing. The pages are the same price - no matter how many photos are on the page or how big they are.

Kaela will have 12 completed scrapbook albums of her childhood to take with her - on that day that spreads her wings and moves out. We still have college so I will hang on to them for her for just a little longer.

Well I woke up this morning at 5 am with a thought in my head that I wanted to recreate the Stamp of the Month Artwork that CTMH published on Tuesday.

The above card is beautiful, but since I have not ordered the Water Colors just yet I knew my card would be slightly different.

The first time I saw this stamp set, I thought it would be perfect for Sympathy cards. Since I am getting low on Sympathy cards today seemed like a great day to get a few done.

I love how this card turned out. I am unable to draw a straight line so I used a very old, retired stamp that I keep around just for this purpose to stamp the lines on the edges of the card.

I love this card so much that I am going to back into my idea book (catalog) and see what other fantastic artwork I can scraplift right from the pages. Oh and for those that are wondering about the art work copyright with CTMH - I have a label on the back of the card that states that the artwork is taken from the 2015/2016 CTMH Idea Book.

As long as credit is given - scraplifting is ok.

Now I just have to clean up the mess I made in my scraproom.

Let the clean up begin!!!

Today I wanted to make some card kits to take with me this weekend to the Dallas Anime Fest. This is one of Kaela's art conventions and since she is too young to get a hotel room - I am going with her to be the "adult". She has gone with me to my CTMH conventions in the past so turn about is fair play - but she does not need her MOM there with her all of the time.

So the grand plan was to make some kits that I could assemble in the hotel room when I feel Kaela needs some time with her peers. Well my grand plan did not go as planned... Oh I found the cards I wanted to make.... I just finished them today too. (oops) So I will have to try making "kits" again tomorrow.

With the launch of the catalog yesterday there is new artwork that I want to play with.

What took all summer you ask?

This layout!

I was not joking in May when I said that my summer was booked to the max with personal obligations and travel. Today is the first day since Kaela graduated from high school in May that I have spent the whole day in my scraproom.

Anytime I found a few minutes I would come in and place a photo or work on some of the stitching but this poor little layout sat on my desk the entire summer waiting for me to have time to finish working on it.

I am happy to say that today I not only finished the layout - but I also placed it in the 2010 Family Album.

I am feeling accomplished today (hee hee).

Top 10 Reasons NOT to Have a Home Gathering

1) I despise getting things discounted and free. I’ve always paid full price for everything, and don’t see any reason to change now. $100 in free products? Who needs it?

2) My house is always immaculate, and inviting people over would force me to remove the plastic wrap from the furniture and let people eat food with crumbs. Not gonna happen, are you kidding me right now?

3) I’m so gifted in the crafting department, nobody needs to teach me nothin'. In fact, I should be standing up there teaching YOU my skills.

4) I have a perfectly good idea book from 2000 - why would I need a new one with today’s hottest techniques? I like my 90’s haircut too - get over it.

5) I like spending $5.00 and 30 minutes at the store buying one card that I don’t even like and I know will get thrown out in about 13 seconds. That’s time and money well-spent - why must you interfere?

6) I don’t like my friends, and don’t want to invite them over - they bug me. In fact, I don’t really like people in general, to be honest with you.

7) I don’t enjoy learning how to be creative or finding a stress-relieving hobby to do with my family. Life is supposed to be stressful, so please don’t take that away from me.

8) I want to spend every waking minute with my spouse and family, without any outside interests and activities. That way we can get sick of each other faster. Please leave me in my misery - AGAIN with the interfering!!

9) I have all the card and scrapbook page ideas I want and couldn’t possible use even one more. I’m pretty-much caught up on all of my scrapbooks, and I always have handmade cards at my fingertips. I have absolutely no need for you.

10) I couldn’t possibly take a night off from watching my favorite TV shows. Besides, I’d rather sit through all the fabulous commercials LIVE than fast forward them later.

3. Online Gathering or Facebook Party - I set up a party online (EZ Invite) and you invite all of your friends to place an online order during a certain time frame. So you were wondering what I am doing with myself during our summer break. Let me show you why I am not teaching or having crop during the month of August.

This is my daughter trying to move out to go to UNT in the fall. She has taken over the crop room as a staging area for packing.

It is rather funny because see all of her belongings already in bins.... well her room does not look like anything is missing!

What are in the pink crates?

Everything on the middle table will be up for sale in September. There will be information coming to your email soon with all of the details. The rest of this stuff is all Kaela!

Mike is keeping a low profile while Kaela and I get all of her stuff sorted and ready for move in day.

I think I am going to take a break for the rest of today, order Chinese food and watch Netflix.

A few months ago I drove out to Denton to go to a crop that a friend of mine was having. Since I normally do not travel for crops I had to put some thought into what I was taking.

The album that I wanted to work on is the "Family 2010" album. Kaela will be taking all of her high school albums with her when she moves out after college so I have another set of albums that are "family" with some of the same photos so she as some of our family fun in her school albums and we have some of her school events in our family albums. I took a full year of page kits - photos matched with the paper along with a copy of the layout I wanted to use from my CTMH How To Books. I made a copy so that I would not have to lug the books with me. Since the pages are for personal use no copy write laws were broken and the copy was a great place to make notes about the layout design.

I only packed my RETIRED papers because I was on a mission to use as much of my stash as possible. The plan was to get the photos on the paper then I could come home and do the "pretty" work. It is the embellishments that take up all of the room when we travel so I did not take very many at all.

It is taking a little longer than I thought to get the embellishments added to the pages but I am moving along. It has been a super busy summer so far - but I would not change a minute of the craziness.

It seems funny working with photos from when Kaela was in 7th grade. She seems so little and not ready for the world yet. Time really does fly.

I think that I am going to switch over and start working on some cards for a bit next. I have a craft fair in October and my card supply is getting lower than I like.

When I was a brand new consultant there was a stamp set that I wanted but did not order. I sat on the fence for a long time - then it was gone. Last year I paid a whole lot of money for that stamp set on Ebay. Lesson learned for me.
