My hair is pretty long now. It falls below my shoulders now. But!! My hair is thinning!! I thought i was imagining this until my sister pointed it out.

Am I really that stressed out from work? Don't get me wrong I love my job but is the stress worth losing my hair for? I don't wanna be bald!!

I got my study manual in the mail today at work. My manager and I opened the package like we were getting christmas presents. We are self proclaimed dorks.

So here I am sitting at my desk with my laptop trying to study but facebook is distracting me. This is all too familiar. It's like college all over again. Except that this time there's a lot of money at stake.

My company will not reimburse me if I don't pass. So that's a big motivation right there. okay bye bye facebook.

Long awaited vacation

Jamaine and I are going to HK end of September!! I finally renewed my passport and bought a ticket. I am very excited to go to HK and shop there!!

After our 4 day trip to HK, we are going to Perhentian Island in Malaysia. It'll be a great getaway and according to my housemate, we can watch the sunset when we are there!!

I know i've been lazy when it comes to updating this blog. It's mostly have to do with crappy internet and lack of fun things to write about.

I was 160lbs in December 2009.

I am now 148 lbs (approximately 67 kg). That's 12 effing pounds.

I wanna thank myself for walking to and from the monorail station every working day, my trainer for tolerating my demanding personality and my cousins for over exaggerating my weight loss.

Maybe I'll do a before and after picture just to annoy all the fatties out there.

and I love my apartment coz it is so close to work(i leave home at 8am nowadays and get there at 8:30am), so close to some of the best shopping malls in Malaysia, so close to the best food in town, the best clubbing spot in town and bootleg dvd shops but I hate my roommate who thinks we are good friends

Double whammy

I woke up on Sunday with my whole body aching. I thought it was just from the workout on Saturday but noooooooooooooooooooooo. That wasn't the only reason. I also had a fever.

I guess staying out late at night and waking up way too early the next day to work out wasn't the greatest idea :(

Bathroom matters

I always wonder if the woman who just used the stall before me was a shemale whenever I see the toilet seat up.I mean COME ON!! What if someone just sits on the toilet without looking and they get stuck in it like Ally McBeal in that one episode.

Anyway, I miss reading all the stupid things scribbled on the bathroom walls at U of M. The best one was "Define God" and someone wrote "ABBA". An acquaintance said he saw "a lot of people shit with pens" which I think is utterly clever.

Quote of the day "Keep your stomach to yourself". Best quote from yesterday "Sausage makes me happy" which sounded so wrong coming from a man.

Me: It'd be easier if I pull up to the stall on the left side of the road

Negative thoughts

You know when u try to be depressed and it doesn't work it's really funny. But when you're not even trying and you are, that's not funny at all.

Last time I felt this way was when I was moving back here. When there's so much negativity going on around you, even the most positive person can suffer (assuming that I am a positive person :P)

Looking at the bright side, my good friend(you get a compliment only coz u were willing to let me bitch at you) pointed out that I have it easy compared to him. Which is true. So I will be patient and I will live moment to moment until I feel better.

I've been missing all my friends in Michigan too :( I want to enjoy this spring with you guys

Scored my first goal playing indoor soccer today. Wee hee!!

I have holes in the crotch area of my work out pants. Time for new pants :D

I think the big blue toe nail on my right foot is about to come off soon. I just can't wait. It feels like there's something that's attached to my body but it doesn't belong there. I promise that I will post a picture of it when it comes off just for your viewing pleasure.

I just got gym membership to Fitness First. FF is just like bally's. It's a huge chain that is supposedly international.

I plan to go to the gym Monday morning before work. Wish me luck :P

Here's an update on someone elses life. Mas' cat just died a few days ago. RIP fat cat. I'll miss your grumpy face. Now no cat is around to bite Safiyyah.

Singapore and KL tour once again

As you all probably know, my friend Adam came down to Singapore and Malaysia to visit. Once again, I became the tour guide.

I think Singapore gives me a different experience everytime. I think mostly coz I went with different people. hahaha.

We took many long walks around Singapore and downtown KL. Had awesome coffee and caught up with each other's lives. We had so many conversations about awesome food in Ann Arbor which became very painful at times as we both missed food from places like Sadako and BTB.

So Adam is boy #3 to come to Malaysia. When are you girls coming here????

I think that was how long it took me to finish the half marathon last night in Putrajaya. Here's a km by km recap of the run

0km : Really have to pee but the run was about to start so I decided to hold it in

2km: Wow the Putrajay International Convention Center looks amazing at night. Damn I don't have a camera with me

3km: Where is the bathroom? And why are we running uphill?

5km: Seriously where is the bathroom? None of the volunteers knew where the bathroom(porta potty) is.

10km: Yay found the bathroom. Serious blisters are forming. How nice.

15 km : Oh cram!

18km: Wheeee we're getting close

19km: Wow that was the longest 1km ever. I see the finish line

20km: Oh damn we still had to go around the court house. This is never ending

21km : Wheee. I'm dying. Can't feel my feet anymore

I really enjoyed the run and I'll definitely do it again. Hopefully with a running buddy and higher endurance level next time. I also enjoyed seeing a couple of my INTEC friends last nite.

For now, I'm just gonna chill here on this couch. I can barely feel my legs.

First Pay Check, sort of

So it's payday!! It's not my very first paycheck coz I've had 3 or 4 part time jobs before. but I guess I'm still excited coz this is my first paycheck from my first full time job. wheeeeeeeeee

What am I gonna do with all this money :P (Just trying to make you think that I make a lot of money, this is definitely a lie)
1) get new pair of work shoes. the shoes I have now are not very HOT. I want something hot and sexy. Maybe I'll get white shoes coz they look cool.
2) why did I put #1 up there?
Okay I really don't have any other plans. Maybe I'll buy a book or something.

7 days till my half marathon in Putrajaya. I'm excited and scared at the same time. Wish me luck :D

The New Life

Now that I am working I leave the house around 7am. Which is sooooooo early compared to my highschool days. I spend about 2-3 hours on my commute to work everyday. I might need to find a place closer to work but coming back to home cooked meals,thanks to Didi, is a pretty good deal.

I'll be working this weekend. I know right, first week and I'm already working on the weekend. I don't think it'll be too bad. Traffic is definitely gonna be better.

All in all, I enjoy my new job. The people at work are really nice to me and most of them are around my age. We have seats by the window at the office that has a cafe-like environment and consultants are free to seat anywhere. The corner offices are surrounded by glasses which reminds me of the glass house in the movie "13 ghosts". They even write on the glasses, which is JUST like the movie.

It's always fun to find money you didn't know u had. That's what happened to me today. I went to the bank to reactivate an account that I haven't used for the last 4 years and found out that there was a little bit of money left in the account. I'm probably gonna spend it on the party tomorrow.

I just baked an apple pie for the party too.I'm so excited to get my friends together and just hang out.

Oh and I'm super excited for Glee. They're gonna start showing it on tv here starting on January 20th.

I wish I could always write happy posts but no. This will be a depressing post since I feel so depressed now.

In the last month I spent in the US, I was depressed coz I had no job, no money and the thought of coming back to Malaysia was making me so sad.

And now that I'm just sitting here, unemployed for the 3rd month now, thinking bout my bf who is all the way on the other side of the globe celebrating his birthday without me, I feel so depressed again.

To my family don't get me wrong, I enjoy your company but I just don't want to live here. Someone get me out of here. 2010 is gonna be a long year :(

Getting food poisoning for the second time this week (and possibly the fourth time since I moved back here) doesn't help either

You can see out the window when you're trying so hard to fall asleep. You keep looking outside trying to see if there is someone out there. You keep looking to see if there's someone watching you out there.

So far nothing was out there except for a few felines. And you know if you see something out there you will be terrified.So why do you keep looking?

Food Inc Review

I just saw the movie Food Inc today and I loved it! I guess by now a lot of people know that I believe in animal rights and that people should reduce meat consumption to a minimum.

The movie explains just why we should. You will see in the movie that these animal farms are more like factories. That's why they are called farm factories. I am not sure how bad the condition is in Malaysia but I doubt that the animals live luxurious lives either. Just yesterday, my sister told me that it only takes about 30 days to grow a chicken for it's meat("ayam daging"). According to the movie it's more like 40++ days.

The problem with this is that the chicken has been engineered to have bigger chest to fulfill the demand for white and lean meat. Their chest gets so big so fast that their legs can't even support their body. As a result, the chicken would only be able to take a few steps at a time. It is very sad to watch.

I am not saying that we cannot eat meat at all. It's just that I believe that the animals deserve a better life before they are killed for human consumption.

The movie is pretty long for a documentary like movie. I have to admit that I lost my focus towards the end of the movie but it's still worth watching. You will realize how far removed me are from the foods we eat. It'll make you feel like you want to just grow some vegetable and raise some chicken just so you know where your food is coming from.

p/s: If anyone wants to borrow the movie from me, I'll be glad to lend it to you. It's a very good copy despite being *clears throat*. You know what I mean.
