I'm a little obsessed with engagement pictures. I'm a little obsessed with wedding pictures, period. Sarah and Tommy have been so much fun to work with and I seriously can't wait for their wedding next year.

I've been a major fan of Project Duo for a while and I have ZERO idea why we've never worked together. When I saw these photos, I was just so happy!!! I love how they captured the sweetness in Sarah's eyes and the love that she and Tommy share.

Happy Friday Gorgeous People!!!! The last month has been full of changes...happy changes...too many and too deep to go into on this blog BUT these changes have lead to a happiness that I haven't felt in quite some time. I recently read this article about 22 things that happy people do differently and it seems so simple but so refreshing. I printed it out and I have been reading it as a reminder to myself....you should too.

Also, Kid President has been wreaking havoc on this super mushy heart of mine. He's 9 and says just the right things...at the right time. I previously posted his Pep Talk and if you aren't one of the over 17,000,000 people who have seen it, take a quick moment and watch it. It's relevant for anyone...at anytime. Have a happy Friday!

I'm loving these shots from Leslie and Jason's engagement shoot with Mai and Bri Photography . Leslie informed me that these were taken where the next "Hunger Games" movie is being filmed! How amazing is her red hair?! I'm dying! I can't wait for their wedding next month!

You just gasped, right?! I know I did the first time I saw these pictures of Yentl. The wind was blowing perfectly which created the perfect moment for Yentl's inner "Top Model" to come out and she went to WERK {"werk" is better than "work" in this case}!

Yentl & Jimmy were married at the beautiful Georgian Terrace in front of their closest family and friends. The love that filled the day was memorable and something you don't see every day. {I was a mess during Yentl's pictures with her brother and sister} Congratulations you two!

Megan & Robert!

Robert and Megan were married at Anoush in Los Angeles. Ok, just try to wrap your head around 17 bridesmaids and 17 groomsmen, 8 groom ushers, 2 flower girls and 400 guests.

This couple holds a very very special place in my heart. Not only have I known Robert since I was 7 years old, he's also one of my closest friends in the whole world. His family is my family. Luckily, Megan is just as amazing and so if her family. I already had adoption papers drawn up for her parents to adopt me the way Robert's family has. {That's a figure of speech. I'm not really adopted}

This wedding was put together with love. The details of this wedding are amazing. Her mother made all of the fascinators that all 17 bridesmaids wore. Her aunts and a few bridesmaids made the cake and other desserts. Wait until you see the candy bar....her aunts were responsible for that masterpiece as well. Oh wait, have you seen Megan's dress?! So get this, her mother sewed each of the crystals onto her dress by hand but when they saw the dress in the light, they were the wrong color so her mom took them ALL off and started over. Talk about love.

Thank you so much to Wedding64 for these absolutely gorgeous pictures. I'm not good at editing my selections down so grab some coffee, a warm blanket and get ready to live the magic of Robert and Megan's beautiful wedding. {and no, they're not models...they just totally should be!}

{Then Megan and her bridesmaids, mom and aunts followed the sexiest first dance with an even sexier surprise hula for the groom}

{This is one of my favorite shots from the wedding. Robert dropped some cake on Megan's chest and well...bent down and ate it...off of her chest!}

Ok, are you guys ready for a crazy story?! Meet Serena and Trent. So, I get a text message late on a Tuesday night which read, "You were Tracy's wedding planner. Do you want to be mine? Here's the catch...I'm getting married on Friday." I read the text message, called her back and immediately started organizing all of the information that was being given to me.

The next morning I went to Park Tavern to do the walkthrough then I met with Serena and Trent to go over details. Most people would think that Serena would have freaked out as any bride would but she didn't. She had a quick moment that came and went almost immediately. When I walked into the rehearsal the next day, both of their families greeted me with open arms and tears. Weddings are always emotional and with a last minute emergency, the emotions tend to take over.

I knew this couple for two days and when I showed up on the wedding day, it was as if I had known them for years. I hold a place in my heart for each couple I work with and time doesn't matter. Serena and Trent are definitely a part of the My Simply Perfect family. Thank you for letting me be a part of your very special day. {thank you to Jason Hales Photography for the beautiful images!}

Shantell & Corey were married at the beautiful St. Regis hotel in Atlanta. There are so many things to say about this breathtaking wedding. Her bouquet, her dress, the tears streaming down Corey's face when he saw Shantell walking down the aisle...{I cry at every wedding but I had to step out when Corey started crying. It was beyond sweet.} The estate tables with the dripping flowers were basically everything. I took billions, yes...billions, of pictures with my cell phone because I just couldn't believe how delicious the tables were. Oh and did I mention the amazingly amazing candy bar that spelled out "S {heart} C" for Shantell Loves Corey?!

This entire day was coated in nothing but love. Love for the couple, love for one another, love of family. I could go on and on but I'll let the pictures {taken by Ross Oscar Knight} do the talking.

{Ok, when Corey & Shantell were announced into the reception, the crowd went wild! They came in to T.I.'s "Bring 'em Out" and you would have thought that T.I. was there himself performing. It was the best thing ever!}

The Ultimate Girl's Night In!

I always say that as wedding planners, we're like therapists as well. With engagement season being in full swing, I decided to invite some newly engaged brides out for the Ultimate Girl's Night In at The B Loft. As each group poured in, I was able to sit with the bride and their bridesmaids or family members and discuss wedding details and even personal issues they were facing during their planning.

Tristen of Sift Dessert Boutique SLAYED the dessert which I had visited all night long. Sugar doughnuts for breakfast the next morning and fleck dip?! Yes please! DJ Battle of One Sound and Entertainment made the ultimate girl's playlist that kept everyone doing a little two-step all night. I Do Linens provided the lime green linens that certainly added a pop to the room. Cotton Cravings was spinning delicious cotton candy all night that the ladies couldn't get enough of. Caja Popcorn made sure to pack up to-go packs of their caramel and sea salt popcorn. I had to make myself stop eating it. The ladies were treated to makeup treatments by the girls from Blush Baby Makeup Studio. They are responsible for my amazing lashes that I can't get enough of. Peachtree Tents & Events provided all of the gorgeous furniture that gave the event a cool, lounge feel.

Today is my birthday. I am like a little kid when it comes to my birthday...I can't really sleep because I'm so excited whether I have big plans the next day or not.

I was introduced to this cutie pie a few weeks ago and I can't get over how happy he makes me. I saw this video last night shortly before it turned midnight and as silly as it seems, it was right on time and totally on point.

Nicole and Blaine were married in October at the Indian Cove Amphitheater in Joshua Tree National Park in California. I love the contrast between rustic and romantic. They definitely pulled it off.

Nicole sent me a text message one day telling me that her dress was totally ruined by her seamstress. Inside I was freaking out but I told her that everything would be ok. When I saw the pictures of her new dress, I was floored. It is simply beautiful.

Thank you so much to Feather Love for these gorgeous photos. I basically fell in love with them so you better get comfy, there are lots of them!

DIY Glitter Vases

Happy New Year lovely people! I've decided to start the year off with a DIY project. I'm not a DIY girl but I think I did a pretty good job with this one.

I was on the hunt for a vase with gold glitter and couldn't find anything so I decided to do it myself!

First, you'll need Elmers cement glue, a bunch of glitter {the color of your choice}, painter's tape, and a vase.

Mark your vase with the painter's tape where you want the glitter to stop.

Paint the glue onto the vase and make sure to cover the entire exposed portion.

Make it rain glitter!

Boom! Your glitter vase is now ready for use!
