How Lalamove can Help your Online Business

Lalamove is a courier service that offers fast delivery with a minimum guaranteed lead time of 55 minutes within Metro Manila areas.

How to use their service?

1. Go to Lalamove website or download the app on Google Play.

2. Register to their website/app and sign in. An email will be sent for your verification.

3. Click place an order. Select service type: motorcycle, UV (small), UV (Large). Usually, UV is used for delivery of heavy boxes, furniture or items heavier than 20kg.

4. Set your pickup and delivery address, including contact information. You may also add other services like cash handling, round trip, or with assistant. These services incur an additional fee on top of the delivery charges.

5. Enter promo code if any. Usually, they provide a promo code for first time user.

6. The site/app automatically computes for the fare charges. You have an option to advanced book it or place an order now. Choose the mode of payment, which is either cash or wallet.

7. Once booking is confirmed, Lalamove will assign a driver within an hour. Moreover, pickup for the advanced booking will only be done on your chosen scheduled time.

8. The assigned rider should inform you that he is on the way to the pickup address. Inform consignee on the status.
9. Once delivery is finished, Lalamove will send you a copy of the receipt. Rate the rider. You may add them to your favorite drivers if you are satisfied with their service.

Pros

> Great for heavy items especially those not fitting the courier’s pouch.

Normally, couriers charge us based on the volume weight or actual weight of the item, whichever is higher. There are times that the item was not that heavy but bulky, which incur expensive rate based on its calculated volume weight. At Lalamove, maximum weight load for a motorcycle is 20kg. Computation of their fare is kilometer based. It means, even if your item is bulky, heavy or light load, the charges will still be based on how far the destination is.

> Delivery is within few hours after pickup.

The farthest destination I booked for delivery is Taguig. It took around 2 hours before it was delivered. The nearest is within Quezon City and took 45 minutes. Their service is recommended especially for rush orders or same day delivery. You can even estimate lead time of the item once you are familiarized with their service.

> Lessen chances of breakage or wrong delivery address due to multiple handling.

As you can see, only 3 persons is in direct handling of the products, that is the shipper, rider, and receiver. I think breakage may happen only if the item is not well packed, mishandled by the rider or by accident. So far, no single breakage happened to my item. Unlike other known couriers, even a super bubble wrapped item can be damage because of the way they handle our items. Another experience I had was one item was switched with another package.

> Easily check fare charges.

Once you input the pickup and delivery address, you can immediately check the amount to be charged.

Cons

> Limited options for mode of payment

Lalamove only offers cash and wallet loading only. Even wallet loading will need you to communicate with them. They should at least make it easier just like how sim card is reloaded. Although I am paying for cash, there are times that I did not bring much, which I have to borrow or withdraw from my ATM. Another suggestion is using an EMV chip reader since most of our ATMs nowadays are already built with it.

> Some part of Metro Manila are not yet covered.

Here’s the thing, I tried booking for San Francisco Del Monte, Quezon City to Monumento and found out that the latter is not yet serviceable area. It will be great if all Metro Manila areas are covered as well as near provinces.

> Log off bugs.

Yes, there are times that after logging in, a few seconds I logout. I have to re-login and retype again.

VERDICT

This new comer in town is definitely a great help to me as an online seller. It gives me an option to facilitate faster shipping for my Metro Manila clients without worrying about breakage, missed pickups, or item switching. The cons I listed is more of the suggestions for them to improve their app and services.

How to renew PS Bank Prepaid Mastercard

It has been 3 years since I availed of PS Bank Prepaid Mastercard for my housing loan application on this bank. Actually, it was expired December of last year but had it renewed this week only upon confirmation of the availability of the card and the pin mailer.

Requirements:

At least two valid ID’s

Expired card

How to renew:

1. Go to any PS Bank branch near you. Proceed to new accounts area and tell them that you are renewing your prepaid mastercard.

2. Fill up bank forms like signature card and customer information sheet. If the branch you are renewing is not your branch of account (BOA), they have to confirm your signature from BOA before releasing the card.

3. Once signature is confirmed, they will release it together with the pin mailer. You need to change the pin immediately.

4. Wait within an hour before you can check your account connected to your new prepaid mastercard number.

KFC has this promo “Share your Experience with KFC, Get a Free Gift” that I availed last night. But before I revealed the gift they gave me, let me share how you can avail of this promo.

1. When you order at any KFC branch, don’t just throw away the receipt. At its lower portion, you will find a unique survey ID ( in the black box) that you need to enter to be able to answer the survey.

2. Go to http://www.mykfcexperience.com.ph and enter the unique survey ID. Make sure to log-on within 3 days from the date of the purchase. Start answering the survey, which is about your experience at the KFC store.

PR ~ Filipinos Purchased Over 120,000 Items from Lazada on November 11, Online Sale Continues

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – November 11 has become the largest online shopping day in the world. For Lazada Philippines (www.lazada.com.ph), the country’s leading one-stop shopping and selling destination, 11/11 marked the start of its highly anticipated Online Revolution Sale and the beginning of the Christmas shopping season.

Lazada sent online shoppers into a frenzy starting midnight of November 11 with customers purchasing 120,000 items across different product categories. Over 5,000 units of smartphones were sold on that day alone. Discounted and exclusive cellphone models from top brands such as Alcatel, Lenovo, ASUS and Cherry Mobile were the day’s bestsellers. Lazada also sold over 4,500 packs of disposable diapers, a clear indication that Filipino parents are embracing the convenience of online shopping. Hundreds of early Christmas shoppers were able to snap up this season’s hottest toy, the hoverboard or 2-wheeled scooter for as low as P7,999.

As projected, Lazada exceeded its online sales records with a 6x increase in sales over its October average - the best uptake among all the countries in Southeast Asia where Lazada operates. The site registered 2.4 million visits and orders came from all over the country. 70% of total orders came from areas outside of the National Capital Region.

This year’s Online Revolution Sale broke new ground for Lazada as 60% of its orders came from shoppers using mobile devices. The Lazada mobile app was downloaded over 3x more on November 11 compared its average downloads during October. The app was ranked as the overall #1 app on the Apple App Store, ahead of Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. It continues to be the number one shopping app on both App Store and Google Play Store.

The big sale on Lazada continues and will culminate in a Grand Christmas Sale on Dec. 10 – 12. On top of deals and discounts, Lazada is also raffling off Cebu Pacific airline tickets to international destinations weekly and a brand new Hyundai Eon in the grand draw.

Hi everyone! Time really flies so fast. It’s already the 2nd week of August and in a few weeks time, B-E-R months are coming. Yehey!

Before I overwhelmed myself with this fact, let me have a new product review post. This product, Simbae Sensitive Skin Shampoo - a dog shampoo, is given to me as a free sample. I choose this type over their other product lines because it is recommended for dogs with flakes. Well, my puppies did experience it last summer and I don’t want it to happen again. The company wants me to write my honest opinion about this product. No pressures at all. Reviewing a dog shampoo is one of the firsts on my blogging experiences. I am glad they trusted me.

Good points:

√ The product comes with a thick plastic bottle. It has a sturdy pump that controls the amount you want to dispense.

√ The product has two fragrances available, but I picked the country grove scent. My hubby and I both love the aroma. He was much more astonished as it is uncommon for dog shampoo to smell good.

√ The scent stays longer than I expected, about 12 hours or more.

√ Washing down the shampoo is effortless.

√ It uses herbal extracts, which is safer than chemicals. They don’t itch that much as compared with the one I usually used.

Rusty is ready for his bath.

Bad points:

× When applied to my dog’s hair, it lathers easily but not that foamy. I have to add more shampoo. It is just me, I like foamy shampoo.

× It did not give a shiny hair or may be I should try their conditioner.

Overall experience:

I am satisfied with this product. There’s no any adverse effect I’ve noticed with my four fur buddies. I will recommend it to my fellow dog lovers.

Review: iWhite Aqua Moisturizing Cream

It was an impulse buying moment. I was starting to skin peel while using a rejuvenating set from Professional Skin Care products by Dr. Alvin Thinking that a moisturizer can at least minimize this, I head over at 7-Eleven store before going to work. Out of its cosmetics corner, a printed white-bluish bottle-like packaging caught my attention. I simply scanned its features and when I saw that it is a “NON GREASY” formula, I grabbed one.

This moisturizer is iWhite Aqua Moisturizing Cream. Here’s what the packaging says about the product:

iWhite Aqua Moisturizing Cream is a unique water-based moisturizer that deeeply moisturizes your skin with its natural and non-greasy formula. It leaves a cool, oil-free and refreshing feeling on your skin after application.

Contains natural active ingredients that effectively helps:

iWhite Aqua Moisturizing Cream is refined by Bio-Nanotechnology which gives ingredients increased potency in order to effectively take care of your skin.

When I opened it, I did not assumed nor expected anything special about this product. A bluish colored cream came out of the packaging. It has a refreshing and clean scent. I gently applied it on my face. Once I massaged it on my skin, it becomes watery and leaves a non-greasy feel. Those areas where peeling occur, have flattened then disappeared. After 3 hours,I reapplied it again.

Here’s the summary of what I like and dislike about iWhite Aqua Moisturizing Cream:

Likes:

> Packaging - cute bottle-like sachet. It is well-labeled with complete ingredients list, application procedure, its feature and where country it is made.

> Scent- clean and refreshing, haven’t smell their scent to other cosmetics I had tried before

> Non-greasy - the best feature I love about this product. I don’t feel the rush to put powder on my skin. No oily skin.

> Light on the skin - I did not felt that I applied a moisturizer on my skin

> Hydrates the skin - It does the job. After applying it on the skin, the peeling disappeared, although I have to apply it after 3 to 4 hours.

> Cheap - Its price is P18 for a 6ml sachet. The product lasted almost 2 weeks.

Dislikes:

> Not resealable - It could have been better if it has a Zip lock or resealable feature. Once opened, it has the possibility of being contaminated.

I have a good experience with this product. In fact, I love it. I will definitely recommend it to people with oily skin because of its non-greasy and light formulation. Have you tried this product before? How is your experience?

My Frustrations Over Xend and LBC Services

I have to vent this out or else I might explode, harhar. Joking aside, yes, I've come to the point of being irritated and disappointed to the services of Xend and LBC. Why? Here's the story...

We have a customer from Hagonoy, Bulacan. He opted to ship the item to their home address. We normally let them know that lead time for province is maximum of 3 working days. In the event that they don't get the item on the 3rd day, they will tell us so we could follow up with the courier.

On April 17, the item was shipped. Come April 20, customer was asking for the status and I said it was en route as checked on Xend tracking. On that afternoon, the customer informed me that the item was not delivered. I checked and found out that LBC put a CONSIGNEE UNKNOWN update on the tracking. My question lingering on my mind at that time was why LBC did not in any case tried calling/messaging the consignee or my number when they were around the area and could not locate the person!? I could have helped them anyway.

After I saw this update, I immediately informed my customer. He requested to just pick up the item to LBC Hagonoy. Through Xend Twitter page, I made the request. I even called LBC for the possibility of turning over the item to their Hagonoy branch, however, they informed me that Xend must coordinate my request to them. Xend's landline was busy every now and then so I have no choice but to communicate through their Twitter page.

From April 21, I monitored the updates and found out in the end that my request was futile. The item was bound to return in Manila. All my efforts and time were wasted. Imagine how frustrated I was when I learned about that. The worse of all, just yesterday, April 23, they emailed me informing that the item can be returned to me or re-shipped with incurring shipping fee. How is that naman? I replied to them asking to reship the item without additional charges because it was not our fault, anyway. I even included a screenshot of my conversation on Twitter as an evidence.

We lost one client because of their inefficiency. My customer wanted a refund because of that. We will incur another loss for the remittance charges if they will not approve my request. This is all because of the inefficiency of Xend and LBC to coordinate with each other.

What's more? Well, I just made 3 consecutive bookings of pick up for another customer. Never mind the first booking because it was booked around 1:30PM, which is close to cutoff time of 2PM. The following day, I got a text message from Xend apologizing for not picking up the item and inquiring as to whether I will proceed with the booking ( before I even received the text, I had it booked). I replied to the text for confirmation that I am pushing for the pickup. No rider arrived. Despite everything, I tried another pickup booking. This time, I sent a tweet to their page informing them that their rider did not arrive yesterday. They reassured me that the rider will arrive and pick the item. I waited for the rider up to 5:30PM, but he did not arrived. The next day, I tweeted their page advising them of their failed pickups. Around 20 minutes after my tweet, somebody from Xend called me and explained their side. She said that the rider arrived around 6PM but I was no longer in the office. I answered back that the rider should have informed me that he will be late, so that I could have coordinated it with our guard.

I do not know what is happening to their company. We have made at least 10 transactions with them including this, but so far, this is the worst. I am weighing in between if we will still accommodate their service or not. Part of me is saying yes because they have been a good courier to us before. No one is perfect., everyone has its shortcomings. Another part of me is saying to look for an alternative courier. There's a lot out there. I just need to give them a chance.

After I wrote the draft of this post, I received their reply. To my surprise, they granted my request to redeliver the item to LBC Hagonoy without additional charges.

6 Fun Facts about our dogs

March 01 is the day when Patty gave birth to super cute 9 puppies. With that number, I wonder how they fit inside her womb. I used to joke my husband that she looked like a seal, having a small head with a bloated belly. We also like to guess about the number of her babies, mine was 4 while his was 5. As you know, we are both wrong.

Our First

While writing down this blog, I could not resist listing down a lot of "firsts" about our pet dogs and this birthing. It is like giving you some fun facts about them.

1. After I got married, we have our first boxer dog named Brusco. He eventually die after 2 months.

2. All our male dogs die even before reaching adulthood. We just don't know why.

3. Patty is our first female dog. She reached adulthood and parenthood recently. Hooray!

4. I found out that dog pregnancy lasts approximately 63 days. If my calculation is right based on the date we know Patty's first contact, that's her 63rd day.

5. We have witness our first live dog birthing on her fifth pup. When the puppy was already out, its amniotic sac was intact. Patty has to eat it to break off the sac. Is it a mother's instinct?

6. Our other dog's name is Booger (from burger), a partner for patty. Now, we we're thinking about the name of Patty's pups. Our lists include Mayo, Ketchup, Ham and Sausage.

I am eager to see when those cutie little puppies open they eyes. Experts say that once open, their about to start learning new skills, and adapt more to their environment. We'll update you more in the coming days.
