While most other phones have gotten the Denim update, especially the ones on T-Mobile USA and Verizon, AT&T still has yet to do release it on the original Lumia 8 devices like the 520, 820, and most importantly my 920. Android device fragmentation is a problem Android users know all too well. Apple has the best updates. 5 year old iPhone 4S is still getting the same updates at the same time as the newest 6S.

Don't forget about us AT&T wireless.

Another 2 months have passed and still nothing for us AT&T 520, 820, 920 Lumia users.
My phone is getting on to 3 years of service soon and still enjoy it, but if AT&T would release Denim for my 920, that would be gravy.

Guess what?
It was Cyan again.
But I guess that means Denim is coming out sooner rather then later.

Been 2 months since the 1520 got the Lumia Denim update and still nothing for us 520, 820. 920. 925 users at AT&T. All Verizon phones and Rogers phones are running Denim. Seriously AT&T, when you say soon, mean soon. Don't just keep saying "soon".

Rogers subscribers, check your phones. Lumia 520, 625 635, 830, 920, 1020 phones should all be updated to Denim now. Remember to fully charge your phones and be on WiFi for the best performence for the update.

Starting today, people with AT&T Lumia 1520 phones should run a phone update. Denim is officially out from AT&T. The update makes numerous changes to the behavior of the camera, including a faster shutter and 4K video capture, and also adds Live Folders and an updated Glance screen. According to Microsoft, Lumia 1520 owners need to have 1GB of free internal storage in order to install the update.

Finally some more word on the Denim update. AT&T tweeted that the Denim update is coming soon to the Nokia Lumia 1520. Hopefully this means 820, 920, 925, and 1020 users will get it soon as well. Now "Soon" is a word that can mean anything from tomorrow to a few more weeks, but time will tell. Verizon phones have had the Denim update for a while for its Lumia devices and its a shame that AT&T, usually first with Lumia updates like Cyan doesn't have it yet.

Rejoice Windows 8.1 users. Denim has begun rolling out today. Users can expect it between now and early 2015 depending on carrier, phone, and country. Some features include

Cortana – The most personal digital assistant on the market will now be available in the UK and China as a Beta. India, Canada and Australia will have access to Cortana as a public Alpha. For US residents, Cortana now includes an improved natural language, car kit integration via Bluetooth for contacts, snooze reminders and calendar improvements.
Live folders – If you prefer to keep your apps or games organised, you can now put them into folders. Simply press, hold and drag an app over another to create a new folder on the Start screen. Each folder can be renamed by tapping on the text field above the open folder.
Apps Corner – Create a customised Start screen, where only specific apps or games are accessible. This could be particularly useful in the workplace if you’re issuing Windows Phones to employees.
SMS merge and forwarding – Select individual text messages to either delete them out of a messaging thread, or to copy and past them into a new message in order to forward them.
Snooze Times – It’s now possible to customise the snooze time within the Alarm app.

Reset your phone.

Important: Resetting your phone erases all personal content, including apps, and restores the factory settings.

1. Make sure your phone has enough battery power, charge your phone for at least 20 minutes.

2. Switch off your phone, and disconnect the charger.

3. Press and hold the volume down key, and connect the charger. An exclamation mark (!) is shown on the screen.

4. Press the keys in the following order: volume up, volume down,power, and volume down.

5. Wait for your phone to reset, during the reset there will be gears rotating on the screen for up to 5 minutes, after which the screen goes blank for ~30 seconds and then your phone will restart.

6. Go through the initial phone setup, if the date and time are shown, ensure the values are correct.

7. Disconnect the charger.

This can save people a lot of headache instead of buying a new device. Hope you don't have to use this but Microsoft thought up of it any how.

The Nokia Lumia Black update is now available on the AT&T Nokia Lumia 920. Updates include the Glance Screen, Nokia Camera, and other tweaks and fixes. You can now customize tones, close apps from the multi-tasking view, and lock the screen from rotating.

Finally after about 2 months of general availability AT&T has released the Amber update to all 920 and 820 handsets. It is recommend everybody update when their phone tells you too. The GDR2 update, which comes from Microsoft, improves XBox Music and how the devices manage storage. The Amber update comes from Nokia and adds features including an FM radio, flip-to-silence, Nokia Smart Camera, and call/SMS blocking.

The Nokia EOS is rumored to feature a 41-megapixel PureView camera with a dual Xenon + LED flash, 1280x768 resolution OLED screen, will be made of polycarbonate (same as the previous Lumia handsets) and will support wireless charging through a clip on case like the latest Lumia 925.

According to the source, the Nokia EOS will be officially released on July 9 and it’s expected to be an AT&T exclusive at first and to become available worldwide in a month or two after the initial release.

The 1232.5957.1308.0001 firmware for the Nokia Lumia 920 was just released today. Some of the improvements include "proximity sensor parameters, improved automatic display brightness adjustment & performance improvements" in addition to the camera fixes and Storage tools option.

This is a great update and everybody should update to it.

Nowadays, you can shoot some incredible nice videos with even your cellphone! I was lucky to borrow the new Nokia Lumia 920 to test the camera and see how well it performed when shooting video. Normally a camera would need a lot of light to make nice pictures and videos. In this video we didn't use any strong lights (see behind the scenes for more info!), but since the camera in the Nokia Lumia 920 has a nice Carl Zeiss lens with aperture at f2 and the new pureView technology, it was exciting to test it out. I shot everything with both a steadycam and handheld, since the camera got a image stabilization inside the lens. The sound was recorded live by several microphones (not the cellphone) and added in post.

Microsoft/Nokia rolled out an update for the Lumia 920 today. Some of the improvements are

Update 8.0.10211.204

Messaging improvements. A great messaging experience is now even better. You can now add multiple recipients at the same time when you send a text message and automatically save unsent text messages as drafts. You can even edit received text messages before you forward them.
Text replies to incoming calls. Can't take a call? Now you can send a prewritten text reply to a caller directly from the call answer screen. It's a nice way to let people know that you're not ignoring them.
Internet Explorer improvements. You can now change your settings to prevent pictures from downloading automatically—an easy way to help keep data usage low. You can also delete selected sites from your browsing history and leave the rest intact.
Wi-Fi connectivity. Got a favorite Wi-Fi network? Windows Phone 8 will now prioritize Wi-Fi connections based on your connection history.
Other improvements. Includes many other improvements to Windows Phone.

Also the SW for the Nokia Lumia 920 camera has been improved so expect better pics.
