A solid technical knowledgebase for design and programming is established within this individual, to where they are able to handle most assignments and a standard level of technology with minimal support. This individual should be able to provide a reasonable amount of support and training to lower level staff on most subjects, and be able to coordinate a portion of their work through others. This individual should also be capable of identifying and producing moderate level standards, engineering tools, and process improvement initiatives with some direction from the Controls Manager.

Accountabilities
 For assigned product lines, maintain a fully documented and accurate electrical design and control program that complies with established Evergreen and industry standards.
 Maintain a cost balance for the electrical design that achieves the lowest base cost with the highest manufacturing efficiency and lowest warranty. This balance should also account for the highest operational efficiency and lowest maintenance requirement.
 Produce electrical design/program changes to support sale orders, product improvements, and change requests/non-conformances for assigned product lines.
 Provide timely, complete, and consistent technical support to internal and external business customers as required in support of assigned product lines.
 Support the Controls Team to increase output, standardization, and repeatability of designs and programs through developing and continuously improving engineering tools and work processes.
 Maintain at minimum a 30-day backlog of all assigned non-conformances.

Yesterday, there was a program called Conquer the Corridor held at the Cedar Rapids Chamber in partnership with Priority One (economic development group) and Cedar Rapids Downtown District.  The 60 minute session covered many things about the Corridor – arts, entertainment, culture, recreation, housing, healthcare and more.  The important thing the presenters noted was that 60 minutes was not nearly enough time to cover everything that is going on in the Corridor communities. 

However, the attendees were able to identify a few of their favorite things about the Corridor, so we thought it would be great to share that information here.  Check it out:

These are great lists (many of the items mentioned showed up on more than 1 list.  So, next time you think there is nothing to do in the Corridor – ask the Conquering people.  They’ll help!
