Blueberry Picking

We went blueberry picking today and it was a blast. It was pretty hot this afternoon but it never stopped us from picking blueberries like maniacs. The blueberry patch is like 15 minutes away from the house and its 15 acres big. There were so many blueberries to pick that you will go gaga…We only picked a bucket worth like 10 lbs for only $10. Blueberries are pretty expensive so we took advantage of the chance. Tomorrow will go visit some new friends who live down the road and pick some peanuts to boil. I’m pretty excited and I can’t wait.

Outer Banks rentals

We can’t wait for my sister and nephew to come next month. They will stay with us for a whole month. It has been eight years since I saw her and I hope they can stay longer than a month. We’re planning to take them to the Florida beach, maybe Disney Orlando, Smokey Mountain in North Carolina and may to the Outer Banks too. We have so many plans and I can’t wait for it to happen. Father's Day

We had a blast on Father’s Day. Hubby went to work that day but we had the chance to celebrate it very briefly .The kid’s made a cute card a night before that day. It was so sweet of them to remember to do something extra special for their daddy. I was not really in the mood of preparing of cooking something special but I can resist to do something nice. I bake a chocolate cupcakes with butter cream frosting, sweet and sour pork with Japanese fried rice. It was delicious and everyone enjoyed the small feast. I will post the recipes on my food blog later tonight. Check it out.

I was so happy to see some rain today. It has been pretty hot in my area. How I wish we have couple of big and tall trees at the backyard. Thank goodness the rain dropped by this afternoon even for short period of time. We could definitely need every drop we can get. It has been awful hot down here. Every time I check the thermometer outside it always pointing up to a 100 degrees F. Thanks for the AC that is running 24 hours a day without complaining. Hubby is off from work and we’re planning to drive up to Franklin, North Carolina to visit mom and dad. It’s our chance to get out in this hot and misery weather. Dining room

The new dining room is pretty empty too. As you can see there’s nothing else beside the table and chairs. Hopefully, I will have enough money to buy a new buffet table, a hutch and some wall decors this year. My dining room is not that big but its size is more than enough to accommodate four people and a dog.

I like this house a lot better than our old house maybe because it has more space and a lot closers to school, grocery, library and etc., The nearest beach is 1 hour and 30 minutes away ( Panama City) . The weather down here can be pretty nasty but it’s okay. Anyway, I better go back and finish to my work now.

I feel guilty for not posting any recent photos in this blog since we’ve moved. It has been two months but still I have few more boxes to unpack. The photo below is my new kitchen. I went to the drug store this afternoon and bought some allergy medicine for the boys. I was window shopping once again in the make-ups section. My appetite is pretty good nowadays that I have gained a bit of weight. I stopped jogging and walking because it has been raining straight for days. And now the weather is good but it too hot. Busy and Exhausted

We finally started to put up the playground of the kid’s this morning. We are not finish yet but I’m pretty sure tomorrow everything will be back in place. I thought we can never put it up because it was freaking heavy. It has been raining for days and the woods was soaking wet that making it heavier. I am so happy to see the little play house and slide are up now.

We have so many things to do in the back and front yard. We have so many trees, bushes and flowers to be planted. I just hope I still have time to make my raise beds before the year will end. I am now looking for another tiller to make my work faster and easier. I wish Dad will drag the tractor and plow a garden for me “hehehe”.

How was your Memorial Day? It was pouring rain in here so we’re stuck in the house once again. We were planning to take the boys to go camping in Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area but it rained whole day. The kids love to fish, hike and picnic so we’re planning to do it sometimes next week when the weather is good. Mom and Dad are also planning to go rv camping early this summer and hopefully we can go with them. I miss camping, grilling in the campfire pit, go trail hiking, fishing and boating too.

Rainy Days

Hey guys, what’s up? I don’t have much news to share. Life is still treating us good in spite of everything. Joe is back to work after three days of break. He had his graduation last Friday, it was not a big event but we had fun. We went to the lake house last Sunday and picked some of our gardening tools. It’s been raining for days now and who knows when it’s going to stop. I didn’t check the extended forecast lately so I have no idea what’s the weather is going to be like for the coming week. Sorry for the not so good picture quality photos. I am into bento for months now. I love bento and my kid’s love it more. The goodies on the table are my recent haul from Ichiban Kan. I still have so many bento accessories to buy and I can’t wait to grab them all. Some bento products are pretty pricey so I am looking for some other ( cheap) things that I can use. I went to Target last Friday and they have cute lunch boxes that you can use for bento. I made bento lunches several times already but never had a chance to take some photos yet. The non-stop bickering and fighting of the boys are driving me insane!!! The house will only get peaceful when their both at school. I cannot imagine how their teacher’s handles things when they have more than 20 kid’s everyday. I am very proud and thankful for their effort, patience and hard work. I hope the government is giving all the teachers the compensations that they deserve. Their job is one of the toughest jobs in the world for surviving 300 or more days with 20 or more kids a year. I SALUTE all the TEACHERS who do their job right.
