3D porno impregnates woman while husband is away at war...

I truly hope this story is fake, and they are just trying to get media attention. If this is true, this kid should count his blessings that her dumbass husband isn't his real father.

Apparently, Jennifer Jhonson got pregnant while her husband was away in Iraq. 9 months later, a slightly darker baby popped out. She claims she never cheated and that a black porn star in a 3D porn movie is the father.

At least she didn't claim the baby was conceived through "God the Holy Spirit" and she is the next Mary.

It seems he actually buys her story, however. “I see it as suspicious. The films in 3D are very real. With today’s technology, anything is possible,” he said.

What's even more interesting is that both Jennifer and Erick are white, but the child is black. Jeniffer claims the kid looks like the black pornstar she had been ogling. She also claims this was one of the first times she's watched porn and only went with friends for the 3D effect. TechEye did a survey of one person and found 100 percent would say the same thing in a similar situation.

Man arrested for indecent exposure: in his own house.

This has got to be one of the more ridiculous stories I have heard in awhile. A 29 year old man (as a bonus - with what appears to be a decent body) was arrested and charge with indecent exposure for walking around his kitchen and making coffee in his birthday suit. A passerby, who was cutting through his yard, saw him standing nude inside his own home and called police to report it. Then, the police actually arrested him and charged him?

If this were the law in Seattle, where I live, I would be arrested almost daily. I always walk around nude from the moment I wake up, make my tea, make breakfast, shower, dry my hair, do my makeup, and anything else that happens before I get dressed for work. I have a few large windows, sometimes forget to pull the shades and live downtown, so I am sure anyone who wanted to could look in and see me.

I pity the woman who reported this and worse her poor child who will probably grow up to think nudity is bad and the naked body is dirty. One also would ask, is she technically a peeper since she looked into his windows?

This hot mess of a woman, who has been arrested nine time already, found herself in a jam again. According to this Article :

According to the police report, Lewis was at the E.D. Croskey Recreation Center. She began chasing two league football players, both under 16 years old. She told them she would catch them and then have sex with them.

She then walked between two picnic tables, pulled her pants down in front of both boys and inserted a tampon. The boys told police they looked away.

According to the report this woman was wasted and I don't know about you, but I have definitely done some stupid stuff while wasted but never have I thought about a tampon as sexy. Ever. Though I have never thought 15 year old boys were sexy, so maybe that puts me in the more normal category?

I came across this and loved it. This couple decided to build a 17,000 square foot (that is as big as the office I work in!) house in a cave. There is a photo gallery totally worth checking out. The article mentions a goldfish pond that is filled by a natural spring, but sadly, that is not shown.

The really weird thing though, it says the family lived in tents for five years before the house was ready. That's rough.

If I were posting this on Twitter, I would follow it with a #sodetroit hashtag.

A woman met a man in a Detroit casino. This is something I have done a few times myself, as in Detroit everyone parks at Greektown Casino for free and then after going out you end up hanging at the Casino a bit while validating your parking and probably sobering up.

Anyway, they decided to go on a date at Buffalo Wild Wings (I am not into chain restaurants, but I love BW's!) in Ferndale (a burb of Detroit.) Well, sometime during the date he asked for her car keys because he thought he left his wallet in the car. She obliged and he took off with her car. Oh yeah, I am assuming he probably didn't pay the bill either.

How stupid is this guy? She had his pictures on her cell phone!

Another thing I must add, did the guy not have a car? There may be good reasons for this as, for example, I am in Detroit visiting my parents and do not have a car here. If I lived in Seattle, I would be OK dating a man without a car because there is actual public transportation there and we live downtown in a real city. But not having a car in Detroit is impossible and that should have probably been her first hint that this guy was a bum.

I am not sure if this really comes as a shock to me, but apparently Baby Boomers like to smoke the pot, according to this article in Reuters.

The rates of people aged 50 to 59 who admit to using illicit drugs in the past year nearly doubled from 5.1 percent in 2002 to 9.4 percent in 2007 while rates among all other age groups are the same or decreasing

If this is the case, these people are getting into the elderly years, and we all know elderly people LOVE to vote and write their legislators. Maybe we'll see MJ laws relaxing more and more in the coming years. One could only hope.

Man who wanted to protect the sanctity of marriage, now getting divorced

How is this for irony? The man that donated $125,000 to yes on Proposition 8 (meaning he wants gay marriage banned) because he wanted to protect the sanctity of marriage is now leaving his wife - after 43 years of marriage.

He said he donated the money because of his Catholic beliefs. Apparently, he thinks that the Catholic church looks the other way on divorce? Good thing for him the government doesn't put constraints on divorce like it does marriage.

OK, first off, usually it's not the brightest of people that are snatching the purses off women's arms, but this guy... stole a three year old little girl's purse.

Not only is that absolutely horrible, who does that to a child, but how much money would a three year old have in her purse? I remember when I was in kindergarten, so about five years old, and thinking I was the wealthiest girl in the world because I found a five dollar bill.

Born and Raised in South Detroit

Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" was one of the first songs where I actually learned all the words. Even as a child singing in the playroom and dancing with my girlfriends, I knew it was a powerful song.

As I got older and learned about my hometown, Detroit, Michigan, I would feel a small sense of homage whenever the song would play. I am specifically speaking of the line, "Born and raised in South Detroit." Though I remember one day asking my parents where South Detroit was, and could we go. My dad would simply laugh and say - well, it's Canada or maybe Downriver, if you want to stay in the States.

I found this article today where Steven Perry actually says he had no clue that South Detroit was really Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Funny rockstars, and funnier Detroiters from feeling a sense of pride from this awesome song.

Anyway, they recently just announced a new "more casual" dress code. Flip flops and cargo shorts, like we wear to work here in Seattle? Um, no... How about...

Beginning today, men who work at Focus no longer have to wear mandatory business attire, including a tie, and female employees don't have to stick with just dresses or skirts and hosiery. Men can now come to work donning an open-collar shirt — but no spandex — and women can be decked out in dress pants and pantsuits.

Upon hearing the news, the employees literally cheered. I bet the level of employee excitement hasn't been that high since gay marriage was banned in Cali.

Student lights up a joint in school, for a presentation

I seriously wonder how certain people can make it through life on a daily basis.

A 17 year old student in Pierce County, Washington (South of Seattle) gave a presentation to a packed auditorium about the legalization of marijuana. After reading his essay, he decided to light a joint and smoke it. Of course the cops were called and he was hauled off to juvie.

Seriously? First, (right or wrong) marijuana is illegal, of course that is issue one. Second, smoking in public places is illegal. Third, smoking in schools is illegal. Fourth, he was 17, which is too young to even smoke cigarettes legally.

I have a feeling this kid lit up to help support his marijuana should be legal theory, but I think he just ended up proving that smoking pot can make you a dumb ass.

Delta will keep DTW as a hub

I just stumbled upon this articlestating Delta Airlines sees Detroit as an asset.

When Northwest Airlines and Delta first announced their merger, I know a lot of people were curious as to what might happen to the new, beutiful, McNamara terminal (named for Edward H., not Robert S.) and if Delta would still be using it as a hub airport.

Well, good news, they are. Hailing from Detroit I really want Detroit to succeed. While keeping DTW as a hub will not even begin to fix the economy or even the moral in the Detroit area, at least it won't make it worse. I suppose that is all we can ask for at this point.

Are You a Gay or Lesbian Tourist? If So, Seattle Hopes You'll Visit

I love living in Seattle. I moved here almost two years ago from the outskirts of Detroit and have never looked back. Things are a bit more laid back, slower, casual, and not as uptight. Though, I do suppose the trade off is extreme passive aggressive-ism, but that is for a different conversation.

According to this story in the Seattle PI, the Seattle Convention and Visitor's Bureau figured out that gay and lesbian tourist tend to spend more money and travel more often than heterosexual tourists.

Being the liberal city that we are, I can see Seattle being a good destination for Gay/Lesbian tourists. Seattle is pretty progressive, and I feel like we have a better grasp on gay rights that some other cities.

Coincidentally (or maybe not?), Gov. Gregoire is scheduled to sign the "everything but marriage" bill tomorrow, which gives equal rights to same sex couples, minus the word marriage. I do have to wonder though, maybe if Washington legalized same sex marriage in every sense of the phrase, Seattle could bank on that. Oh yeah, not to mention that everyone should have the same rights ;)

Actually, my true opinion... Marriage and government should not have anything to do with one another. Opposite Sex and Same Sex unions should be legal. Marriages should be something you do within your religion. When it's time for me to maybe become legally bound to another, I have no problem saying... Yeah, we are getting unionized in October, save the date.

Five Pitbulls & 2 Adults living in a Jeep...

First, I have to say I love when positive news stories come out of Michigan. I grew up outside of Detroit, much of my family still resides in Michigan, and I am a cheerleader for Michigan turn around.

Saying that, I am not proud of stories like this one from Grand Rapids WoodTv (video, too!).

Basically, this couple was either staying or living in their Jeep (the couple say they were just staying the night because they ran out of gas, the Police claim they lived in the car) with their five pitbulls. Hhhmm, what could go wrong here???

Well, apparently the male's father brought the couple gas the next morning, the five pitbulls started fighting in the car, one escaped attacked the father and all the dogs are in quarantine.

I feel for the dogs in this situation. These pitts probably never had a chance, as I am assuming they were never properly trained. In addition, pitts get such a bad reputation because of stupid pitt owners like these.

USA Today ran an article today showing what products are actually doing well in this economy. Some might not surprise you like Chocolate & Wine/Beers (consumed at home, not out at bars or restaurants) as they help soothe the bad economy blows for some, but laxatives? I suppose when nervous, you might have a nauseous stomach?

Other recession resistant items include running shoes, gold coins, safes to store those gold coins and Match.com memberships. I guess they say misery loves company...

Anyway, the article is pretty interesting and worth checking out. Oh and for the record, I just bought a new pair of running shoes and have been stocking up on cheap (under $10) wines... but passed on the Spam.

If you didn't hear it (and you probably didn't unless you are a odd news junky, like myself) Jamie Foxx dogged Miley Cyrus on his Sirius Radio Show a couple of days ago.

Apparently, Miley was all pissy because she wanted to meet Radiohead at the Grammy's and they would hear nothing of it. She then went on a rant, saying she would ruin Radiohead's career. Jamie and his radio friends had some choice words to say about her, well, just watch this NSFW clip:

Well, anyway, Foxx must have either decided that he had better play nice or decided he wanted tweens to see his new movie, but in any case he decided to apologize on Leno. So, tune to Leno tonight to see another comedian apologize for jokes. While I do not condone picking on a 16 year old (even if she does have some crazy sense of self entitlement), if you are going to say something, stand by it.

It was not all bad for Miley though. She did get to hang out with Coldplay at the Grammy's. What's funny about that is, I've always thought of Coldplay as a less cool version of Radiohead.

According to a new article on shipping pollution, "based on engine size and the quality of fuel typically used by ships and cars shows that just 15 of the world's biggest ships may now emit as much pollution as all the world's 760m cars."

While I am no environmentalist, I feel I try to do my part. I walk/bus to work, only drive when necessary. I go to the grocery store armed with reusable bags and my recycle bin fills faster than my garbage bin. I think that if enough people are like me, we might be able to save the world from global warming, becoming a giant land fill, or from contaminated water.

Then I read an news article like this one, and it makes me feel like the little bit I am doing will not really help in the true scheme of things when we have 90,000 container ships in use!! Not to mention the amount of money it is costing us in health care from all the pollution!
